KIA Motors 2013 Sorento White

KIA should own up and take care of the paint chipping issue. We bought our Sorento brand new and it only has 52K on it and the paint is chipping big time above the windshield and beginning to rust. I'm scheduled to get it repaired after the holiday but it's going to cost us around $1000. Plus it leaves us w/ out a car for about a week.

Desired outcome: KIA should repair or cover the out of pocket cost.

KIA Motors roadside service

I purchased a 24/7 roadside service along with extended warranty
on a 2020 Kia Sportage with 14mills on OD. 2 mother later my car died
and would not start. I paid 90.00 out of pocket for a jump. you are a part of what makes it (intentionally)
difficult for me to get any results and get my money back. Intentional by design so if we get tired of all the contacts and pass the buck numbers we have to call in hope that customer give up so you keep the money and avoid accountability. Im tired and won't all my money back

Desired outcome: i want my money back that was paid for the 24/7 roadside service

KIA Motors both passenger windows had to be repaired on 5 yr old Kia Optima

I purchased a 2016 Kia Optima brand new. We take VERY good care of our vehicle. Regular oil changes, washes, vacuuming it and keeping it very clean. On October 26, 2021 we had to get the rear passenger window fixed due to slippage at a cost of $432.00, THEN on December 28, 2021, we had to get the front passenger window fixed due to slippage at a cost of $536.00. I was told by TWO employees at the Kia repair service that this has happened multiple times to other Kia windows. This seems like a factory default to me. The car is ONLY five years old and the windows started slipping? That sounds a little off to me. PLEASE check into this and get back with me. BUT at all the unresolved complaints I see that ya'll have, it doesn't look likely. I will give ya'll 30 days til now, the I will probably seek other avenues to solve this problem. I wanted to purchase a new KIA Suv next year and now I'm haveing second thoughts. AND I paid cash for this car.

KIA Motors Free labour charge for the first time servicing at KIA Service Centre Lambak

Brunei KIA Agent said i do not need to pay labour charge for the first servicing before the car handover. But when i did service my car for the first time the service centre ask me to pay for the labour charge.

Thanks KIA for lying to your customer. oh ya before i forgot the servicing parts/accessories/m-oil/oil filter are overprice and you dont even wash my goddam car after servicing. poor customer service.

I will never ever go to your service center again KIA Brunei.

KIA Motors Pealing Snow White Paint

I seem to not be the only one with this issue with this paint. Since I've had the Sorento, the paint has peeled so bad on the front end. Every time it rains, more is gone. I don't feel comfortable even washing the car because the paint peels off. Not sure what else to say. When I purchased it, I had planned to keep it til the wheels fall off and pass it to my teenage son for his first car. Now I have to constantly worry about a little water or wind exposing more metal causing more rust and eventually holes that cause damage INSIDE the vehicle.

Desired outcome: Fixed paint or money to put towards the purchase of a new Kia equal to the cost of paint repair.

KIA Motors Kia Soul

Wow. I just bought a 2022 KIA Soul. It's beautiful. I had a used 2018 Soul and was ready for new.

My dealer put in winter floor mats since we're entering that season. Then the delivery specialist said the fabric mats were in the back.

I opened the hatch and saw a hole. A rectangular hole.

Did the dealer forget to put in the Rear Cargo storage with hard trifold cover? No she reported. They're not part of the 2022 Soul LX. The trifold is part of the top-priced Soul, she explained.

Then I looked back at CONSUMER REPORTS article on the new Soul. It specified the ECO mode which didn't come with my car. I told CR.

C'mon. I paid more than MSRP to get a hole. Is KIA cheapening the offering? The hole is an ugly part of my beautiful black cherry and ECO is an unfortunate change.

KIA Motors Recall; needs new motor and no loaner

My 2012 Kia Optima had a recall on the knock engine sensor which caused my motor to mess up. The repair is going to take at least 3 months and the dealership said they have no loaner cars. When I called Kia they said I had to pay for a rental and could submit the billing for possible reimbursement after I paid for the rental. I can't afford to rent a car for that long and Kia isn't helping at all. This issue is because of a faulty Kia part, not because of normal wear and tear.

KIA Motors Finance

My nephew purchased a kia forte from the Kia of Anderson dealership. I co-signed with him to get the money for the car. They put me as the primary buyer on the credit app. Instead of my nephew. They didn't ask me, they just did it. I agreed to co-sign not be the primary buyer. Now they tell me this cannot be changed. I don't believe this is legal without my consent. They only put me as the primary buyer on the credit app and not the rest of the paperwork. Please help

KIA Motors Monthly recurring engine warning light

Over the last 5-6 months my engine warning light keeps coming on. I brought it to my dealer for service. The first time they kept my car for over 2 weeks until they determined it was a knock sensor which they replaced. that lasted about a month. Brought it in again kept it again for 2 weeks plus and decided to replace the engine. Waited for the engine which was "stuck on a ship" somewhere. That lasted for another month. Brought it in once again, same wait for them to determine something else was wrong. Woke up this morning, 12/17 to find the engine light on once again. This is getting ridiculous. I happen to like my Kia Soul very much, but starting to lose patience. And to make matters worse they never have any loaners available. We are both 70 years old and need a car for Dr appointments and such. At this point before my warranty expires what can Kia do for me? I would really rather not take this to the BBB.

KIA Motors Recall Service

William Perez, From Eden, N.C. : I have a complain, I have a 2012 kia Sportage my car was making a rattleing in the engine I took it to my mechanic and he said you have oil consumption problem the car was leaking oil he said to take the car to the kia dealership theres is a recall for my car so I took it to the dealer what they told me is that I need a new engine that oil leak ruin the engine and i have to pay for it . Sense I've had the car it has been giving me problems . I had trans problem plus my mechanic said they must have changed the engine once before because my trans in he car was leaking because when they put the engine in they put a wrong part by the torgue and made it leak i had to bay for that . now I have no car and to fix it its to much for me . how can i take my wife to her cancer treatment know .because of that oil leak I don't car. Idid recieved the recall notice three days before .Do i need a lemon lawyer

Desired outcome: I need for Kia to fix my car with no cost to me . It's a recall .

I would tell you yes get a lemon law! I am in the process of getting my case ready with them for kia! I spoke with a man named Richard, Hes very nice and understand able if you don't have time of his call to answer the questions, he will text you the questions so you can text him back with replies to them when you do have the time. I have a 2016 kia optima and it hasn't run for 2 years because of them not fixing the problem with my engine. My boyfriend and me were driving home one day when my engine had thrown a rode and a chp had pulled over with us asking if we were ok because there was at least 2 miles of thick smoke he said. Their customer service sucks! They don't care unless it has to do with us giving them money! I have been on the phone for almost an hour now waiting the supervisor to pick up my call and give me answer before I go and call the corporate office again and let them know I'm waiting on my paperwork for my lemon law case with them. I am very sorry to hear about your wife, i hope kia gets their crap together and fix your car sir!

KIA Motors Motor and customer service

Beginning in 2/2020, my 2020 Kia Soul began to make a noise in the motor and loss oil. I took it Paramount Kia of Hickory, NC where no help and the lies began. They couldn't find anything wrong, etc., etc., I Kept taking it back and then the recall came out after researching and researching, I was the one that found the recall and gave Paramount Kia of Hickory, NC the information on the recall. Well, low and behold, they claim it passed the test as they really didn't know how to perform the test as they had just got the machine. have

KIA Motors Crowley KIA Bristol, CT Service Department

Crowley KIA in Bristol, CT has the worst service that I have ever come across. My car was towed to their facility on 9/22/2021 with engine failure. My 2016 Sorrento has 51, 500 miles on it. Apparently this engine failure is a problem for many KIA owners as the was a Class Action Lawsuit that settled in 8/2021 which I was unaware of. My car was diagnosed on 9/30/2021. I was told it would be covered under warranty and would be ready in 3-4 weeks. They would not give me a loaner or rental. I was told I would have to go to corporate KIA to pursue a rental. I did that and was told KIA would only cover $35 per day and the cheapest rental is $70 plus tax. My daughter has a KIA Sportage that had the same engine issue about 3 weeks ago and it was towed to KIA of Danbury, CT and she was given a rental right up front with no cost to her. She should have her car back in a few days. Every time we call Crowley KIA and speak with the service manager we are always told it will be 2-3 weeks tops. My husband even asked to speak with Mr. Crowley directly about 2 weeks ago and he said he would check to see what was going on and call my husband back. We never received a phone call. I filed a complaint online and received an email confirmation that I would hear back in 1-2 business days. It's been three weeks with once again nothing. I called KIA customer service on Friday 12/10/2021. I was put on hold while the called Crowley KIA service department. When they got back on I was told they had to leave a voicemail and would call me Monday. Here it is Thursday and still nothing. We are now the week before Christmas and still no car. I am both frustrated and disgusted with the lack of custom service I have received Kia and especially Crowley KIA. We have 3 KIAs in our household, As much as we all love the cars after this experience you could not pay us to buy another KIA!

i have a 2016 and it had engine problems as well! here i am 2 years later still fighting them over it. i just barley seen this link to be able to read the reviews and the first 3 comments have been about the engine! have lost 2 very good jobs over their crap! and to get a hold of someone at the dealer ship in Bakersfield is a joke! my grandfather bought 3 201 kia optima's and he even said himself he wishes we took our money somewhere else and got cars because kia all around is a joke. i have spoken to their corporate office and they are very nice (i would be to though if i was getting yelled at) but i feel as if they only answer calls when they are the ones to call first and not someone like us trying to contact them! im sorry about your car i hope you get things fixed or you have gotten them fixed.

KIA Motors Uncertain/late delivery with forgery in booking documents to avoid penalties

I booked my vehicle Kia Picanto in April 2021, and the delivery month given by Kia Lucky Motors was Sept-2021.
When in June 2021, I contacted my dealership, they said my month of delivery is changed from September to November 2021 by saying the reason that I (customer) has changed the color of vehicle, however I never did.
Upon inquiring they provided a forged and fake Note (Written on some school copy) which showed the request for change in color with my fake (unmatched) signature.
Upon inquiring further I got to know that Dealership mistakenly input the wrong color, and when realized they changed the color which ultimately resulted in change of delivery month.
I rushed towards KIA's flagship store where I tried to lodge complaint, to which they asked me to complaint over given UAN phone number. which I also did. But it has been3-months of continuous scheduled weekly calls to their UAN number, but unfortunately every time I have to tell them briefly about my complaint as no body at KIA Motors Pakistan is aware of customer's complaint. I have also sent them emails, but unfortunately no no any feedback/reply/call-back has been received in previous 3-month.
Today It's 14th December 2021, and I am still unable to get concrete month of delivery by Kia Motors.
I don't have any platform now to launch my complaint for my query. If somebody could advise me any portal or KIA South Korea's contact email where I can lodge complaint against their partners in Pakistan.

So Pity, we are born in a country where customer and a common man is not heard.

Desired outcome: Platform where Kia (Pakistan/Global) can look into my complaint.

2013 kia soul. Purchased used from a Kia dealership in Florida. After getting the car serviced at the dealership and then washed also at the dealership. The clear coat and paint is peeling very badly.

KIA Motors Poor customer service and communication with Crain Kia, Fort Smith

I have been a customer of Fort Smith Kia since 2016 when I purchased my first Kia there. I've had many issues with them over the years with the problems getting worse every year. I've pretty much kept my mouth closed until now. I had my car in Kia Fort Smith about 3 months ago to get side rearview mirror fixed and get headlight in driverside low beams changed. At that time my O2 sensor also needed replacing. It took a month to get the mirror fixed, the light was replaced and I was told the O2 was ordered and would be taken care of at a later date. The service tech showed me my light bulb with it's bracket to show it was completed as they had my car for 2 full days to do the repairs. I never received a call either day and the 2nd day I had to call to get updates. I went home and realized my driver headlight was still not working. Upon inspection I realized there was NO light bulb or bracket in the headlight. I called Brandon, the service worker and explained the issue. He said he'd get back to me. A week later I called him and he again stated he had to speak to the service tech and get back to me. I explained that time change was coming up and I needed my headlight and he agreed. Again, a week later I called him and he had NO answer for me. He proceeded to tell me he was leaving the company and I would be working with someone else. I was quite upset by this point and told him I wanted my light bulb and bracket back. The new bulb needs a bracket to hold it in and they are he ard to come by. He told me I could have it. I called the following week and spoke to the new service worker, Nick, and he Informed me that Brandon threw the bulb and bracket away and no longer works there. I was told that because Brandon did this there will be no fee to fix the issue however the problem is still not fixed. I called last week to inquire about it and I was told in a obnoxious way, they needed to see my car to figure out my issue however I've, again, not received any calls on this matter. I did ask him, "wouldn't it be wise to let me know this? Like a call or something?". His excuse was he's been busy. I'm a very patient person but lack of communication to your clients should be fixed. The attitude to us is also bad. Once this issue is fixed, I will never step foot in that establishment again. The info I listed is limited, I could have said more. That establishment is poorly run and needs fixing. I've not received any calls from them having to chase them down. I've had a business for years and would never treat my customers the way I've been treated. I need my car, both light and O2 fixed. If I get a ticket for NO light Kia will pay it. This has been going on far too long. I will give them poor ratings. Below is photo of empty light. I've been driving without since September.

KIA Motors Service dept of kia dealership.

brought my 2012 kia Sorento for service on 12/7/21. was told they would run a diagnostic check which cost me 125 dollars. this service was never performed, but I was still charged the full amount. In addition, I called the dealer off and on for 3 hours to see what was wrong with my vehicle and got an answering machine saying all service reps were unavailable at this time . No one called me back . Picked up the car on 12/8/21 and paid the 125 dollars even though no diagnostic was performed. Suntrup Kia 6263 S.Lindberg Blvd St. Louis Mo. 63123 314/894/2311

KIA Motors Kia soul 2016

In 2016 my father and I financed a 2016 Kia Soul from a Kia dealership in Mableton, GA. The vehicle had 2 miles on it when we purchased it. The vehicle has had regular maintenance on it and has worked well up until about the last 2 years. It has been progressively worse the latter of the 2 years with substantial repairs being done to my vehicle. I wanted to send a formal complaint using the proper channels in the event that there is notice of the vehicles deteriorating condition. You have to go beyond verbal complaints and internal frustration and reach out and that is the purpose of this letter. To my knowledge the vehicle has had 2 engines, 2 batteries, catalytic converter plugs replaced, motor replaced, hydraulic components replaced, timing chain replaced, resealed oil pan and is currently at the Kia dealership for what is going on 36 days since it is now almost the next morning and I am up writing a letter to the Kia dealership. 
Jason, the service manager at Kia dealership in Manhattan, Kansas has been working with me regarding the vehicle. He keeps me updated on my vehicle when I am able to get ahold of him, notates the account and is honest about the status of the vehicle which I appreciate greatly. As of now my understanding of the vehicle's status is that the service department has run all the tests they could on the vehicle and they are getting a mix of different codes that show that so many things are wrong with the vehicle that could not all be wrong with it at the same time. Jason stated that every 4, 000 miles the vehicle starts shooting off different codes that show that several things are wrong with it. Jason explained that because the service department has exhausted all of their options they have reached out to an engineer and provided all the documentation and test results of the vehicle for assistance. The engineers have recommended cleaning all around the engine and parts internally. This service has to be outsourced to another shop to be completed. I think the most alarming thing that I learned about my Kia Soul is that roughly every 4, 000 miles the vehicle goes into a breakdown and once it is placed on the computer it returns back with several different conflicting codes making it challenging for the dealership to understand what the issue is with the vehicle. I remember driving on the highway at 70 miles an hour and then my vehicle started declining in speed quickly with cars behind me until I had to swerve into the shoulder as my car started stalling out. It was smoking and I had my young children and nephew in the car while it stalled on the interstate. There was also a time that I came home for my lunch hour and when I went to leave the vehicle would not turn over no matter what. A few hours later it turned on and then started shaking uncontrollably and cut right back off. My father was unable to reverse the vehicle out of the parking spot to hook up to the trailer because it would not stay on. We had to call a tow truck and that was on September 25, 2021 and the vehicle still remains at the dealership. I am so uneasy about getting the vehicle back and driving it. I always do the maintenance needed on the vehicle and any recommended work at the time the vehicle is being serviced. This year alone the vehicle has been in the Kia dealership on January 18, February 11, February 24, May 3, June 16, June 21, July 7 and went back on September 25 and I received it back on October 29, 2021 where it stayed for 36 days. One day after receiving the car back the engine light came back on and because the dealership has no loaners I am unable to take my car back to the dealership without a loaner. I am a mother, student and have a laundry list of things to do like anyone else. I am not asking for any special accommodations but I am really struggling with this vehicle. At this time due to the alarming issues that are still continuing to include the transmission light currently back on and there is an aggressive jerk I am requesting Kia to purchase the vehicle back from me so I can move forward from this continuing hardship.
