Keranique hair products

I answered an ad for a sample of your products for shipping and handling cost of $4.99 paid by credit card. Subsequent, I received a package from the company for $79.95. Since the product caused crusting on my scalp, I requested to cancel the automatic purchase. I received a second package for the same price. Please do not sent me any more of your product. Besides, If I wanted to continue to use it, I can buy it locally for less money. Lillian Riddick

Keranique deceptive practices

My wife ordered sample products of Keranique and Bellaplex online, for which shipping & handling was paid with my credit card. At the time, we didn't know they were owned by the same company, Urban Nutrition, LLC, according to the Better Business Bureau in New Jersey. Nothing else was ever ordered or received on either of these products. We did receive the samples, which we still have. To give you an example, the Bellaplex was 1 ounce. About a month after receiving the samples, I got a call from my credit card company that Keranique was submitting a charge, but they had received so many complaints about them that they wanted to be sure it was authorized before paying. It was not, and at their suggestion, I immediately went to my bank and got a new card. Although nothing else had been ordered or received from this company, in June I received a bill from them for $171.89. I wrote them immediately on June 13, but they never responded, so I notified the Better Business Bureau in New Jersey. Today I received a bill from Bellaplex--but it is the same address and the exact same tactics. I had no idea until today they were the same company! Just like the Keranique, this is the first bill I have received from them! They are claiming it is a bad debt in the amount of $150.39. I have since found out that Bellaplex used to be called Nexiderm, and the company had so many complaints filed against it that a grievance was file by the Electronic Self-Regulation Program. When they didn't respond, the matter was submitted to the FTC, and the company changed the name to Bellaplex! I have filed another complaint with the New Jersey BBB, and with the Attorney General's Office of New Jersey. You can do so online, and I would encourage everyone who has been mistreated by this company to do so. I've also been told they are affiliated with Atlantic Coast Media Group, but people have a very difficult time finding information for this company. Besides Keranique and Bellaplex, this same company sells Hyrdoxatone, Luminique and other products, so be careful.

Keranique fraud-withdrawal of money

I was told in order to get the products I only had to pay shipping, I did. Today I look at my account and see that I was charged 85.00 from Keranique. I called they told me I could not send the products back, asked for a manager given the name Blake, I called later both female representatives I explained to her the product broke me out and I need an address she told me she could give me a discount of 30.00 off I said yes, you will no longer be billed as I asked the 1st lady to cancel she told me sure, the second lady told me you would not be able to send the product back but encourage me to take the discount. Unknowing to me she withdrew 55.00 extra from my account after taking 85.00 from my account with in 1 business day hours I was upset with you taking 85.00 what would make you think I would be fine with you deducting more monies from my account, you gave me the impression that you would return the 85.00 and I would only be charged the 55.00. I would not have authorized this transaction without full understanding these monies would be withdrawn in a couple of hours. I would like my monies back after being lied to, after going in my account and still having my account number to do so after 2 months, I am not interesting in the product, or happy about the way they conduct business, poor customer service who are trained to give false information phone number, and addresses. Do not buy.

Keranique charge for product not ordered, nor received.

I ordered a free sample of their product for my wife. We received a small box with no billing attached. A few months later, I received a call from my bank that the company was trying to place a charge against my credit card. The representative who called me said they had received some complaints against this company and she wanted to be sure the charge was authorized. It was not. I immediately went down to my bank and changed my card. Two weeks ago, I received a bill in the mail for product I neither ordered, nor received. If I had received anything, I would have returned it immediately. I sent them a letter two weeks ago explaining what had happened, that they had tried to charge my credit card without my authorization and informed them if I didn't hear from them within two weeks, I would take action. I have not heard back from them. I have since found out this is a common occurrence with this company. I have also found out it could be a third party who handles this, so I will be contacting the company directly.

You stated in your very first sentence that you ordered this product for your wife.
Throughout your complaint against this company you contradict yourself a number of times by stating that you didn't order the product, but were continually charged and had a lot of problems receiving a refund.
I've read other people's complaints that are more plausible than yours.
I do believe that this company is not on the up and up after reading other people's reviews. If someone would have read yours alone they wouldn't realize the scope of this company's dishonesty.

My Daughter sent away for this trial too. You must call and cancel. They will give you a return authorization number, and you must return it right away. They will continue to charge your account every two weeks! It's a scam. Cut your losses, and just learn from it.

Keranique charges

I ordered this for my sister-in-law. She was suffering from a brain tumor. Before she had a chance to use it she died. I notified the company not to send anymore, and the reason. I paid the first shipping charge. Did not realize they were going to charge me 79.95 for that shipment. I was under the assumption that took care of everything if I did not order any more product. I clued and companied---they then send me another bill for half and order but I received nothing. MY brother doesn't need this bill. He is 70 and I am 75-we do not need this in addition to everything else we have to deal with at this time.

Thank you for your consideration.

One of the worse products ever! I'm not sure if the service or product is worse. It may be a toss up. Their purchase and return policies are questionable and unethical. Lots of hidden language and not upfront with their practices. Caveat emptor.

A complete scam. Not only does the product not work - even if you return the unused portion and cancel the "subscription" they continue to debit your account without sending you more product. I had to cancel my debit card and get a new one to stop them. SCAM!

Keranique refund not issued for returned

July 31 2014 i ordered keranique [protected] per tv advertisement & i was charged $7.95 shipping cost. product did not work as advertised & i cancelled the order august 13, 2014 & charged $7.47 shipping cost of their "return label".
I was told that they need to sent me the "return label" & i will need to ship it which is the only way to do the return. 5 days later, i did not get the label so i called again & said they will mail it to me again (i requested it to be emailed, but they do not do it that way). i received the return label & mailed product back on august 22, 2014. but they charged my visa $159.30 claiming that the item was not returned.
I disputed with my visa, but since the shipping label they sent does not allow for delivery receipt or any other changes to their shipping & i had "no proof" that it was sent back to them. they are crooks!

Keranique it's doesn't work at all, awful and steal your money

I order a keranique trial for 4.99. Dollar. The first order they send me the full amount of the product.in which I though it's was the trial for 4.99, then I called, them to cancel my order because it's didn't work at all. I started to lossing more hair and more. Untiltoday my hair didn't regrow again. They charged me 109.00 dollar again plus 4.99 for the trial. This is very awful because they ripped the money from the consumer.. It's doesn't work at all, I want my money back. I would appreciate if this complaint help other people to not buy it. Thank you and I want to hear from you.

Keranique deceptive business practice

I saw a TV ad for free trial of Keranique Hair Regrowth Product. I went to their website to read about the product and did not see anything about a cost other than having to pay shipping fees. I know now that it was in the fine print because their customer service folks pretty much told me it was too bad for me if I didn't see it. Well I ordered the product because I thought it was a free trial. I used it for about 7 days and I had an allergic reaction. Severe itching and it caused lesions on my scalp which I am still applying medication. I threw the product out as it was useless to me. When I received my credit card bill I saw that there was a $79.95 charge for Keranique that I did not authorize. Customer service says too bad. They explained that they can't give me a refund unless a product is returned. If I truly had know that I wouldn't have thrown it away! I was told by a customer care supervisor that I could go on the corporate website and contact them directly to see if someone higher could resolve my problem. I called the number [protected] and got a very rude man who scolded me even more and told me he was a salesman and I had to talk to customer care because they were the only ones who could help me. So I called them back again. Got another CC rep and got scolded again before he put me on hold for his supervisor. I waited for about 25 minutes. Finally the fifth person I spoke with was the most helpful although he told me he couldn't help me but he would send a request the the refund escalation email to see if they could help me. He could not however tell me who the company president was nor could he give me the name of a person in the escalation department and he would not give me that departments email. He told me I should hear from someone within 24-72 hours. I also discovered by talking to him that they were actually a third party owned "call center". They were not part of Keranique. You could tell they were all talking from a script and it was a boiler room. I just want to be made whole. I have already suffered enough! I definitely feel that the TV ads and website are misleading.

Keranique unauthorized charges

This company will go to any lengths to charge your card after cancellation..and they do not disclose all information..After signing up for Free 30 day trial, cancelled on 15th day, returned unused products, as requested on the 15 th day in their postage paid box they sent, after even calling Keranique to confirm cancellation, the next month they charged my account 89.95.. And would of continued, if I didn't cacel my card..So I can no longer use my PayPal. I even cancelled my Card..recieved another card through PayPal, and somehow they charged my new card the next month..Cancelled the card, and I won't get a new one, because I am afraid they will charge that too..Keranique reason for the charges, if you cancel the product..you will be charged full price for the products? WHAT where did it say that in commercial or information sent? NOWHERE..They made it up on the spot..They also had some Internet Game site charges me 12.99 per month another nightmare to cancel..they that it was also in the contract..but it wasn't..PayPAL would not reimburse me, because I didnt have the post office code..So I am out over 180.00 + 36. For that game site..Customer Service ever so sweet and polite when you order..but when you cancel, not so much. The rep pretty much laughed at me, when he gave me reason for the charges..When I asked if charged for 2nd month why no products were sent along..he laughed and said Ms you cancelled now why woul we send products to you! OMG! Don't order so called Free trials..Most all are scammers to get your credit card and as much money as they can before you notice it missing..

Keranique unauthorised withdrawal

I was lured into trying the Keranique hair loss system and paid with my debit card for S & H.I called before the 30 day trial ended and spoke with a rep(Martina) letting them know that the shampoo caused itchy scalp and made my eyes red just with two washes. She said that I could return it but was very adamant on cross selling other products totally neglecting my allergy reporting.I even sent them an email stating the same. While I was out of country, they charged my card for $85.00 causing me to go overdrawn and my bank charged me $125.00 for the same.I called and spoke with Lisa Brennan and was assured that the product was cancelled. They still keep authorising my card(which I had to cancel) for the payment. There are no supplies post the trial and I even sent back the trial package which was at the PO Box in Jersey City but it keeps getting forwarded to Mechanics burg, PA for some reason.I moved and I have no idea but I keep receiving collection notices from them. When I called to apprise them, they only offer to get you to the collections department.I have left emails to customer support but no one gets back to you.

I received my shipment - 30-day trial - the invoice was for another lady - HIPPA violation. I cancelled. The shipments kept coming, as did the charges. I cancelled again - no refund for the three boxes that were shipped. The product makes my scalp break out. I was offered more products I didn't want. I just wanted a refund. No refund for a unusable product. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM - VERY POOR BUSINESS AND VERY POOR PRODUCT! HIPPA VIOLATIONS!

Keranique hair loss

The following is an email that I sent to the company. As of today I received no response so I called to find out what is going on. The Customer Service rep basically told me what I thought she would, that since I didn't buy directly from the company they will not address the issue. Here is the email that I sent:
"

I am lodging an official complaint with this company.
Approximately 3 months ago I purchased your shampoo and conditioner from Amazon
and used the products for 2 weeks. I noticed that sections of my hair were
getting dry and brittle but was not concerned until I went to my hair dresser
who noticed more damage. Over that 2 week period I did notice that more hair
than normal was collecting in my hair brushes as well. I were hair extensions
so when my hair dresser took them out that month she notice how badly damaged
my hair was. She insisted that I do a conditioning treatment and she will work
to get my hair back to its healthy normal condition. Well it has been 3
months now and my hair got WAY worse before it got better! I now barely have
any hair on my sides and the back. On the sides my hair is barely as long as
the middle of my ear. My hair before the product was down past my shoulders.
The hair continued to break and maybe, and I say maybe, now is getting back to
normal and no longer breaking off. THANK GOODNESS I wear hair extensions
because otherwise I would have no hair. My hair dresser is already doing me a
favor by putting more in than she normally does. It is getting to the point
that it is costing me more money than necessary to try to regrow my hair plus I
want my long hair back ( I had to cut it to my shoulders). I have had to invest
in Nioxin, vitamins and other hair products just to keep my hair looking like
it did prior to using your product! I am tired of this and I want some action
taken from this point on. I am also making a complaint with the Consumer
Protection Agency since there are no warnings on your products that it may
damage people’s hair. I would like a response to this as soon as possible and
will continue to pursue this issue until it is resolved to my standard."

I'm thrilled that I decided to google complaints about Keranique today because I discovered everyone has a problem with them. I find it amusing to look at my shipping slip to find that it says STATEMENT: THIS IS NOT A BILL when that is exactly what it is. Not only was I allergic to their shampoo, but I sent back the product under my own dime in plenty of time for them to received within the 30-days, yet they still tried to charge me $79.95. Thank goodness I used my PayPal credit card and I was informed immediately of the charge and acted quickly to get it removed. When I called them and asked them if they had received my package the little twerp Alex said yes, this morning (April 23). So they had every intent on charging me, no matter when they received the package. I could have refused the package when it was delivered and they were going to charge me. The only way to NOT get charged is to NOT order they $3.95 trial. You can easily get the same results by purchasing the newer shampoos without additives and the women's version of some of the hair loss products for men. It's the same product and you're not getting scammed.

Keranique deceptive business practices

Beware when you order from this company. They will order and send another unrelated product to you and will order a subscription for a travel newsletter to be sent to you via your email. I don't support deceptive business practices like that and immediately canceled my order within two hours. They said order had already been shipped in that two hour period. I sent product back immediately upon receipt and they refused to refund my shipping charges. I will never order from this company again.

I also experience the same scam; someone called to offer me a travel package of some sort. When I refused, I was berated by the sales supervisor. They were insulted that I would give my credit card number to a stranger that called ME. The experience went downhill from there. Here is my story.
Earlier this year, Amazon Prime sent me a survey. For taking the survey, I was to receive a FREE gift and was given a list of products to select a FREE gift. As I have been losing my hair for years, I jumped at the chance to try Keranique. I ordered this FREE gift and paid small shipping and/or handling cost.
My understanding was this was FREE! I did not go to your website and order a “free” 30-day trial. I received a FREE gift for taking a survey. Further, I didn’t understand that I would be charged for the FREE gift; understandably because I was told it was FREE.
Within a week, I knew I could not use Keranique. I experienced a rapid heart rate and my blood pressure increased to dangerously high levels. If I had known this was a 30-day trial, I would have immediately called and informed them. As I thought this was a free gift with no obligation on my part, I simple stopped using the product.
Today, I was paying bills and going through my bank account. What a surprise to find a charge for nearly $80 from Keranique. I called and spoke with a rather rude gentleman named Ryan. He did apologize, in an insincere way for my hair lose, but was abrupt when I tried to explain how I was mislead about this FREE gift.
Again, let me state that I DID NOT go to Keranique's website and order a “free” 30-day trial. This was to be a FREE gift for taking a survey. I requested the amount taken from my bank account be returned. I'm not holding my breath.
This experience has left a rotten taste in my mouth for Keranique. I would NEVER recommend this product to anyone and will relate my negative experience.

Keranique rude customer representive

I had a complaint about their rude customer service rep which I posted on their Facebook Page and them instead of responding to it, they went ahead and deleted my complaint. Way to go Keranique, can't take criticism;can they? Here is what happened. I called their 1800 number after seeing its advertisement on TV thinking they are giving free samples. The experience I had later was infuriating so I wrote them this complaint which they went ahead and deleted

Dear Keranique

I saw your TV Advertisement for your hair treatment, and being very interested in it, I called your toll-free number [[protected]] at 10:39 AM EST on Tuesday, 08/05/14. You advertised a risk-free trial, but when I called, I learnt of your $7.95 S & H charge through your automated system; I did not see any mention of this charge in the TV advertisement itself. So instead of giving a credit card number, I hung up the phone immediately since, again, it was an automated system. About 5 minutes later, a Customer Service Representative called me from [[protected]], stating she saw that I called the automated system and wanted to be sure to answer any questions I may have had. I told her that I thought it was free, to which she reminded me that the product was free, but the S & H was not. I responded that I realized that through the automated system, which is why I hung up. Now that she and I were on the same page, I expected we could part professionally and cordially. However, she immediately responded: "you don't have $7.95?". I was very offended by this question and proceeded to tell her: "Ma'am, I don't think this is a nice thing to ask, and your question makes me feel uncomfortable; I'm hanging up right now!". Being furious, I didn't listen to what she said after that, but I believe I heard her ending the call with "have a nice day", or some such statement.

With this background, I would like to let you know that a person's financial situation is NOTHING to be commented upon, especially rudely and without any authorization or need-to-know bases. You may have a very nice product, but if you can't present it with respect and professionalism, it will simply sit with you. Undoubtedly, I will be sending this message to my friends as well so that they are aware of your nature. Nevertheless, you need to STOP this kind of insulting dialogue, for beyond the commission and sales volumes are people with feelings - NEVER AGAIN lose sight of that, and you will be successful. Thank you for your time.

They deleted my complaint within 10 minutes. What a dishonest company. I saw on their company blog they say all the 'false complaints' are from women overwrought from the experience of hair loss. They ignore the fact that most of the complaints are about their business practices not the product itself. What jerks.
