JPMorgan Chase Funds from my account was not returned

On 10/16/2020 I went to check my transactions for the last 3 months and seen 3963.50 was debited from my account on 8/14/2020. The name of the store was listed as Scotlandville Food Mart. I immediately notified Chase Bank and informed them of the transaction that was not by me or authorized. I was told my funds would be in the account within 12 to 24 hours a new card would be issued the old card needed to be cancelled. I explained that I was out of town and needed to not cancel my card until I was back home, I was asked if my card was in my possession I replied yes, and that I would cancel the card the following Monday upon returning. I called and cancelled my card on Monday did a follow up on the 24th of October, no funds were placed into my account by Chase, I called back two more times to Chase no information and again was told funds would be in the account within 24 hours. Called back Nov 4th to Chase a representative name Charlotte stated my complaint was denied, informed me to notify the police and there is nothing Chase Bank could do and no information was available to support the reason of the denial. Called Chase November 9th spoke with Jessica a rep for Chase and was told a letter was sent of the 4th of November and again I was told I would have to get my money from the person who stole it. I have Fraud Alert and Fraud Protection that notifies me when a transaction is done but did not get a notification for this large amount. Again, the representatives had no explanation as to why. I called again and I was told by Jessica I would receive all the documents so I can give to the detectives and nothing has been sent to me and I am still without my funds,

JPMorgan Chase Unethical behavior / froze accounts for two weeks during pandemic

During the time I was collecting unemployement and my wife was collecting aid from the picu assistance, they red flagged our acct and froze everything only to find out 2 weeks later, after hours on the phone, with 20 diff [censored]s, with 20 diff stories, and multiple trips to the branch, that they would be closing our accts. They caused me to miss paym

JPMorgan Chase Amazon prime rewards visa

Having sought and obtained an Amazon Prime Rewards Visa card thru JPMCB (Chase Bank), and having charged merchandise from various merchants, including Amazon, to a significant percentage of the available credit, I made a payment in order to zero the card balance. A day or two elapsed, and as expected, the amount was paid by my bank to Chase. Two days later, the •••available credit••• amount reflected in my Chase online account remained at the pre payment level, all the while reporting the •••account balance••• as zero. Mystified, I contacted Chase, whose representatives informed me matter of factly that it is Chase's practice to wait as long as TWO WEEKS to make credit available after such a payment. I have several other cards through other providers, and I have literally never been treated this way by any of them - once funds are reported by my bank as having been paid to the credit account, the amount of available credit on the card is reflected immediately.
For me, Chase's policy in this area seems almost deliberately designed to limit rewards-focused spending, a practice I deem antagonistic, at the very least, to consumers who are responsible in keeping card balances low.
I shall be closing this account at my first convenient opportunity.

JPMorgan Chase Prepaid checking account

I opened a prepaid checking account 09/12/20 with a $6, 400 check that was also drawn from chase bank. Now I had previously had the chase liquid card, I was in a motorcycle accident which put me out of commission for quite a while and when I came in to open my new account I realized I owed $25 on the liquid account, so I paid that and we continued setting up the account. I am now back to work, making great money. After setting up the account the woman told me that I would receive my debit card in the mail in 5 business days and we set up my online account. All was good, I left the branch and on the 4th day after setting up my account I signed on to just check if the check cleared, which it had not yet but I was able to sign on and view all of my account info. Now this is where things get weird (and after reading all of the complaints about this exact issue I am not surprised) I tried to sign on to my account and was met with an error * this account has been locked due to suspicious activity, please call this # to unlock* so I call the number, and was told that "after reviewing my account chase has decided to no longer do business with you." and was told that the money in my account will be sent out in 7-10 business days after the account is closed. I need a much better explanation for this "decision" of yours than "that's just what chase has decided" what led chase to decide this? Why am I being told after the account is open and you have my money (so you can get a few day trades in with my money and make a nice little profit for yourself before you have to give it back?) when I called about this problem, I of course got connected to one of your newest and dramatically underqualified employees in the company who did not know anything and literally hung up on me. At this point all I need from you is the actual/ legal reason you "decided to no longer do business with me", I need this information to know if there is something I have to fix outside of chase. Because I will never step foot in a chase branch ever again. I would rather put all my money on a netspend card or put it in a shoebox under my bed than hand another dollar to you criminals. Oh and I run a production company and we currently have our business accounts at chase, I will be at the culver city branch at around 12:15pm to close said accounts. We will be moving our money elsewhere. So you may want to let your chase branch on la cienega and centinella know that a production company that they have done business with for many years is com in to close their account and to prep $465, 000 in cash to be moved to my new business account. I will be there with a brinks truck. My business partner, lawyer and business manager. See you guys soon.

JPMorgan Chase Home equity

I am currently in an outrageous holding pattern on closing and releasing a lien on a heloc. I paid off the loan two weeks ago (9/11), they are now telling me I must wait until sept 29 (a legally required hold), and it may take 30 days to process. The only reason I needed a new loan is because they would not increase my heloc amount (covid?). They are delaying my ability to borrow money by 45+ days... An abomination. I will never do business with this clown college again.

JPMorgan Chase Auto finance not recorded the title in 8 months

If I could give BIG ZERO star, I am a long time Chase bank customer, so I figured refinancing my auto loan with them would be pretty easy... well I was wrong. The online application was fine, but then the drama began :
Next they sent me Power of attorney to be notarized in December 9th, 2019, I completed all the forms and notarized and mailed all the requested info via FedEx, So fast forward a few days and I never heard that they received my paperwork. Called a few times and finally got through and they said they received my paperwork, and everything is okay.
More fast forward June 2020: got a letter from Chase auto loan with another Power of Attorney to be notarized and to be sent again, when I called and inquired the reason for second power of Attorney, I was told that I should leave the line for ‘second borrower' on the Power of Attorney empty, (I am the only owner of the car) I was shocked and I said) by law I CAN NOT leave it empty as anyone can put their names on it, I notarized it one more time and sent all the documents for second time on June 4th, 2020.
June 26th 2020: 3rd letter from Chase requesting Power of Attorney, again I called and they said I have to leave the field for the second borrower / owner of the car empty, I said I CAN NOT leave it empty and I am the only borrower!
June 30th 2020: 4th letter from Chase requesting Power of Attorney, again I called and they said I have to leave the field for the second borrower / owner of the car empty, I said I CAN NOT leave it empty and I am the only borrower!
I signed and sent all the power of attorneys they had sent me, total of (4) FOUR.
July 2020: I found another institute with much lower rate and tried to refinance the car, after filling out the paperwork which was much easier and less painful, the new institute found out that Chase never recorded the title at the DMV and the title is still under the previous owner (CarMax), I contacted CarMax, they said they released the car back in December 2019 and its Chase's fault they didn't record the title, I requested another lien release from Carmax and they provided within 2 days (8.6.20) and it was sent to Chase
8.20.20 : I received the title from DMV under my name, this is never heard of I believe, I was being honest, I called Chase and told them I have the title without any lien on it, they asked me to send it back to them to put a lien! I did sent it to chase
9.10.20 : Can't get hold of anyone at the Chase Auto for any update!
I have been dealing with Chase and spoken with different people and customer service and supervisor, no one can give me an answer why the title had not been recorded at the DMV back in Dec 2019, while they have no problem taking my money every month, I have not been late for my payments just want to get rid of Chase auto loan!
Absolutely NOT RECOMMENDING them, the process is very painful - BIG ZERO STAR - UNPROFESSIONAL

JPMorgan Chase Deposit

I was charged for using my card this day and I lost my card in the store this same day so I never swiped close to $400 at target for anything. I lost my card that whole day almost and wasn't able to find it until the last minute and then when I did get called when it was found I made a purchase of only $89 so it was frustrating when I came to find out that when I got my card back it had been swiped

JPMorgan Chase Criminal moving company

I was cold called by a slick salesperson from US Pro Moving and Logistics. I was lied to about every last thing that ended up changing as soon as they had my money. I was told they will tell Chase I cancelled their services and show a contract to chase that I signed saying I can't cancel. This was after they didn't show up the first day or the second day. So they took my money and lied to my bank, Chase. It took me a while to figure this out until somebody at Chase actually tried to catch me up in words saying "you said you cancelled services". Of coarse I cancelled services or wanted to cancel services after the services were never delivered. I explained this to the Chase rep and she actually continued to try and trip me up saying "you said you cancelled". This was after explaining "sure I cancelled after the services were never delivered". Chase sided with an actual criminal company. I have been repeatedly emailed by other reviewers and employees at this company who say they went through the same thing or quit because of how criminal the company actually is. I now feel like the company owner thinks he's going to get me in some sort of trouble for texting the number he gave another person he robbed.

Facts:

1.) I was swindled out of $1, 222
2.) I never received services
3.) Chase sides with the crooks

I then find out there's an FTC law that says you have a cooling off period for the sales call, since they called me. So even if I cancelled services, I was supposed to be able to do that.

Of coarse this isn't what happened at all.
I waited for them on 2 separate days to come and they never did. This was after being lied to they would come the first day and then the second. They never showed. I was robbed and Chase held the door open basically.

This is the website review page for the company.

https://www.mymovingreviews.com/movers/us-pro-moving-and-logistics-llc-9990

Just call the number and pretend you already gave them money. They are thugs. They are ready to box the people that already gave them money. They don't even answer the phone, they grunt once they have their money and act like they have you hostage.

JPMorgan Chase Bank account restricted and closed abruptly

On friday july 17, 2020 my chase bank account was first restricted due to "suspicious activity" when I received a wire deposit in the amount of $67, 000. I tried calling them to find out as to why im restricted and also why my phone number was removed from verification. But then on saturday july 18, 2020, I was hit with the tragic news of a final decision made by chase executives in the fraud department, that they decided to close my account without any chance of ever reopening an account with them again. My relationship was damaged beyond repair to the point that I can no longer do banking with chase ever again! What did I do?!?!?, why did they exile me?!?!?' they never explained anything to me at all!

Not only they exile me without any apparent explanation, not only do they send the wired money
Back that im supposed get back in express mail to to the original sender, they treat me as if im a money launderer! This is an outrage!

I demand the money that was supposed to be sent back to me to be paid back to me in full otherwise, they will be sued for defamation, false accusation to recall funds, and falsely closing my account without clause or explainaton!

Chase Bank is holding my inheritance check that I’ve been waiting on for four years. They are threatening to close my account and sending my money to the state in two years at which point I can then go claim. This is because of some third party verification system cannot verify the payer phone number. The payer has done a legal business name change with the state. She was a court appointed attorney. She slow as f** and don’t understand chase logic for her to stop payment to reissue the check. So between her and chase I’m screwed. I thought chase would just send the check back but their talking about escheat. I guess I’ll file a law suit as well because the funds was never abandoned. Wtf

They are probably the sorriest bank yet. I had an account and they harshly closed it and then they closed my girlfriends brand new account just now with all of our money for the fourth and everything in it because here it goes just wait for it...because I signed a check over endorsed the damn thing to her to stick in her account for me. I have never heard that was not acceptable. I don't understand how they closed it on us like they damn.

JPMorgan Chase Visa credit card rebill

According to a very incompetent employee named Marissa at Chase they charged my credit card for Amazon even though Amazon did not ask them to. Very shocking. I returned something to Amazon. Amazon agreed to take it back and they did. I told Chase to revers the charges. They said they already did and I can't dispute the charges again without sending a postal mail proof that they overcharged me. They even admitted that Amazon did not ask for the reversal. It was completely done only by Chase. Marissa was extremely hostile and really shockingly rude. So now we have to go through the Attorney General because Chase refuses to reverse a charge that even Amazon says I should not have to pay.

JPMorgan Chase Checking account

I am in a homeless shelter in San Diego and need medication I have an emergency. My debit card number is: [protected]. My name is Michael T Pines. My email is [protected]@gmail.com. My phone is [protected]. I need medication and need to reach someone immediately. Preferably a supervisor. There must be someone in charge even though it is Memorial Day weekend and there is limited contact because of the virus. But there must be someone in charge for emergencies. My account was closed because I had a negative balance of $293. Which is fine. I don't want to bank with a bank that won't give a customer time to cover a negative balance. I am homeless and living in a shelter but was lawyer. A charity deposited $5000 for me. I called to get the money from the deposited check released but they told me the check was no good. This is ridiculous. It is a reputable charity and credit union and the check is perfectly good. The validity of the check that was deposited can be easily checked with the head of the charity or the credit union it came from. Of course, the negative balance can be deducted.
I need emergency access to the funds. I have called many different Chase numbers. At first, it's 24-hour customer service line answered. I called 3 times and explained the situation and to please get me in touch with whoever was in charge of emergencies. I was switched to a department that was closed every time and got a recording and a disconnect. I called every other number I could find for Chase and they all had recordings saying they were closed.
I don't know if there is a specific rule requiring banks to have someone on call at all times for emergencies, but there should be. Especially a bank as large as Chase. I posted what was going on on the Citibank Facebook account by mistake and they responded within an hour.
I do know there are many rules and policies requiring banks to make funds available from deposited checks. The FDIC policy is to make funds from your cash and check deposits available to you on the first business day after the day we receive your deposit.
Under The Expedited Funds Availability Act there are time limits too.
I don't know what Chase used to determine that the deposit in question was suspicious for fraud, but whatever they did was obviously deficient. The supervisor I talked to only took less than 5 minutes to check. At least as a practical matter, banks should be required to be sure they have in place a reliable system.

JPMorgan Chase Business checking

Closed my business account for no reason, without notice and without explanation and kept the balance for 10 days during which they would refuse to answer any questions.

It seems that this has happened to many customers as the waiting time was 2 hours before I had an agent who refused to give any explanation and was very rude. (I legally recorded th conversation).

My account had had thousands of operations and never any issue whatsoever over the course of the past years.

Sounds fishy to me.

If any class action, let me know, i'm in.

JPMorgan Chase They are my primary bank. Everyone extends me credit but them

First off, good luck getting anyone to deal with an issue. I finally received a call back from their corporate office from a very unprofessional woman. The message sounded like she was from my local bowling alley. No offense to bowling alleys. This company tries to appear as though one is secure with them. The actual enemies they try to defend you from are their customers. When someone commits blatant fraud with your account you will fight them, trust me to get your money back. I had some loser charge 8 burner phones on my account and Chase tried to claim I made the purchase! BTW I had been banking with them for 40 years. I have over a 735 credit score and any card with them I get denied. Horrible Bank

JPMorgan Chase Lack of notification to recurrent unspecified fees.

On Friday, 05/01/2019, after checking my statement for the CARE stimulus, I became aware my checking account was being hit with a reoccurring $25 (approximate) fee to which no articulation of what it actually was other than a fee since 04/30/2019. My statements are electronic & I pay all my bills from this checking account. I use telephone banking as my job always has me on the move & some locations do not have computers or Wi-Fi to use. After calling their customer service number, it was concluded that I had a checking account that required a higher minimum balance than expected, that somehow started to fine me ever since 04/2019. I was unsettled at the lack of reasonable notice as the fee reoccurred monthly for a whole year without communicating to me there may be a problem. The customer service credited back the last four months bringing it down below $300 & changed the checking to a basic checking account. I had asked for the remainder & was advised they could only do the last four months after being hung up on, then passed around & placed on hold for over an hour. I had conferenced the holding call while calling the customer service again to get an affirmative answer. I would've been a long standing customer since they where Wells Fargo & that's how they did me.

JPMorgan Chase Mortgage-credit reporting-escalation department.

At the end of Feb 2020 I discovered that Chase was reporting to 2 out of the 3 credit bureas. I contacted chase customer service on Mar 1st, they submitted this to the "Credit burea reporting unit". I recieved a letter from chase dated march 13th stating that it was chase's fault and that all 3 credit agencys would be notified to start reporting my now 17 YEAR 8 MONTH OLD MORTGAGE.
I then waited 3 weeks for this to be posted on Experian keeping in mind there was no problem with transunion or equifax only experian, during the height of the covid-19 problem each and every phone call I was making I waited an hour or more everytime to talk to somebody, no problem I understand that. I called chase back to notify them that what they did had not worked and then a person in the credit reporting department told me to hang on and stated to me that he reported it to experian himself right then while I was on phone with him...great right? He even gave me a case number, both were lies..these are the 1st two lies from chase. I then wait a few more weeks and call again on April 21st and explain that I am making my mortgage payment and have been for 18 years and that chase is HARMING me and my family because if your not aware fo this the 2 issues of 1 not having any real estate on credit and 2 not having the length of 18 years on the account made a difference of 47 FICO points! Again I was told that a request was submitted to credit dept. to fix again so I waited another 3 weeks, During this 3 weeks I had requested from Experian to do an investigation and got my answer from them and the results were Experian took the time to contact chase and was told by chase this account has been deleted and it will never be re-added, as you can imagine I have at this point have made appx. 20 phone calls between chase and Experian. So I called chase back yet again 7 days ago today, I have made 3 mortgage payments at this point during this whole process, I am not in forbearance because I KNOW that at the end of this forbearance period chase is NOT going to add these missed payments to the end of your loan they are going to want ALL missed payments at one time and on top of that they WILL put on your credit report that you are both late and in forbearance...If you are not aware of this they I am warning you it WILL happen so pay attention to your credit. So back to story, so 7 days ago I was sent to what they call a "Escalation department" and was assigned a "Escalation Manager" this department is the main reason I am leaving this complaint. Dealing with people sitting in India is 1 thing but I know its chase outsourcing to save money and a lot of companies do this, My problem is that these people just totally mistreated me, disrespected me, Lied to me over and over when they don't know an answer and they knew no answers to anything I ever asked them. The person I was assigned was Named "Roger" it didn't even both me the obvious fake name whatever I don't care just please help me and in fact swallowed my pride and begged, each day was a different excuse, he did nothing more then what I had spent 2 months doing, but this department and the people in it are the most despicable, disrespectful ugly people I have ever had to deal with in my life. They can grasp English and they can speak English but they do not UNDERSTAND English, I could not get phone calls returned, I could not get any assurance that they would keep working until fixed, I was expected just to wait in complete limbo AGAIN now being well over 2 months of working just about everyday on my end to get resolved. This is how they treated an 18 year customer who has never missed a payment and have been paying 6.5 percent interest even knowing that I could refinance with no problem and save 500 dollars per month and am qualified for a 3.2 percent mortgage refi with my local credit union. During this 2 weeks the most sleep I had any night was 4-5 hours and I have lost 25 pounds that I could not spare to lose...dealing with all these people at chase...about 20 over the past 2 months I was lied to over and over I was blown off over and over and then just to get a escalation department that sits in India that cannot understand me so instead just lie to me and blow me off I as of yesterday afternoon had enough...I closed the open case...the 4th case for this same problem starting over 2 months ago on march 1st. In summary chase does not give a DAMN about their customers...it was proven to me over and over, ALL these people in escalation department represent YOU chase! You ought to be embarrassed and ashamed how they treat your customers but I know from reading other stories on here you don't care, I will be refinancing with my local credit union and it is my biggest hope that ALL of you have the pain inflicted on you that you inflict on others and if there is a hell I hope everyone in the entire escalation department ROTTS in it.

JPMorgan Chase Account closed with no notification

First, my account was frozen for no reason around March 25th. I couldn't do any transactions at all. I didn't understand what was happening, therefore I called a friend who works at chase and try to have her help me find out. She looked over the account and notified me that it's a good chance that Chase is going to close my account.

I didn't understand why, as we never had any late payment, never had an overdraft. Nothing at all! She told me, this happened to another client of hers, who's also doing the import-export business. It's possible that Chase closed the account because they suspect us for money laundry.

Which left me even more confused. Where or how they even got that idea from? We file for tax according to the book, all of our imports have records with the custom, and with exactly how many products were purchased and how much we made...etc We work with legitimate companies who can also prove that we have all the invoice records.

My friend told me, she doesn't know why Chase made that decision, however from her experience once that's made, then it's over. I felt all my rights have been taken away... no reason at all and not even ask us to provide any records. Just like that, they closed us. It's been extremely stressful as this happened right at the start of covid-19 and with everything that's happening, it's not like I can just head out and open a new bank account and restart. New York is at a complete lockdown.

No words can describe this unfairness. As this is just like discrimination.
