Jewel-Osco product

I just bought some Jewel brand bratwurst. When I opened the package and read the
ingredients I was shocked! Why add " HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP" to sausages?
Why contribute to the bad health of Americans? If you are going to sell fresh meats,
it does not need HFCS. I don't want to go on my soapbox and go into a rant but
aren't we sick enough with autoimmune diseases, etc. when poison "read sugar"
in any forms added to our foods? Buying baked goods with sugar is one thing, if people want that. Spices are one thing, bad ingredients are another.

Jewel-Osco bakery

I ordered a cake at Jewel Osco in Aurora Illinois on Galena Blvd. I said I wanted the cake to read Congratulations Marc. When I went to pick up the cake it read Happy Birthday Marco.

This cake was for a retirement party in which I work 30 mins away. The Manager Terry didn't seemed to bothered that this happened, all he said was we are human and we make mistakes.

Will not order from this bakery again.

Jewel-Osco deli

I ordered 48 chicken bundle a couple days before my kids birthday party, and the day of pick up time they said they didn't have my order. They kept telling us they didn't have it, and the manager kinda brushed off my husband, and said give him whatever. I had proof I ordered online and still nothing.
Then chicken wasn't cooked well and barley grilled! They didn't help us, got pissed off because they didn't have it together. I have only come to jewel for parties, for chicken, cake and regualr everyday shopping. I am so unhappy with the service, the food and the people who were "helping" us. I also have 2 pictures of ordering if needed I will send those as well.

Jewel-Osco shopping carts

I visit that store frequently and want to purchase more but because the store seldom has enough good shopping carts I only purchase what I can carry. I seldom see other customers with more than a handful of purchases because they're unable to carry them to check-out. I love Jewel because of the food quality, the cleanliness, and employees. If I cannot carry my choices I may have to go to another food store where the food is cheap and the customers wear their PJ's while hollering at their kids and their cell phones.
I spoke to the store manager and she told me that new shopping carts are on order but have not arrived. People in the neighborhood steal the carts. I see them all over the neighborhood. The store must develop a means to keep the carts on store property. Aldi's has a good process; customers do not mind using their quarters to save shopping carts.

Jewel-Osco jewels seafood department

Jewels Osco in South Chicago Heights IL, the seafood department never have workers at night time and customers are not getting serviced in a timely manner. There is always one person closing at night time. And almost six workers in the mornings. The white employees talk to the Black employees any kind of way. There is a lot of racism at this particular location. And unprofessional.

Jewel needs to stop carrying Fairlife products! This is disgusting, cruel and a product of torture. Jewel should not have this on its shelves!

By carrying this product you're supporting an organization that allows this treatment to its animals and supports a group that clearly doesn't have the animals or the employees safety in mind or under control.

Jewel-Osco Ole xtreme wellness tortillas

I have been buying these for quite sometime at Jewel but now it seems that you are no longer carrying this product and I have to buy it at Walmart. This is not good for your business because if folks have to go elsewhere they end up buy other things normally purchased in your store. Is there a reason why you stop carrying certain items?

Jewel-Osco 12 piece fried chicken

I used to go to the same Jewel that I've been going to for the last 40 years here I'm now 51 and I usually stop there every Friday and Monday for their Fried Chicken. This is the Jewel-Osco that is in South Chicago Heights Illinois on Chicago Road and Sauk Trail. Well today I went and bought some fried chicken and I have feathers still on pieces of my chicken. Really disgusting not to mention probably very unsanitary and that goes to show that the people that you're getting this chicken from whether it's your people or not aren't doing a correct job in making sure that the chicken is cleaned properly because I do not want disgusting feathers in my food. I've taken pictures of it I'm saving the two pieces that I found now I really lost my appetite to even eat this food now because I'm so grossed out by it. Now I'm totally expecting you to rectify this issue and I don't mean with just a I'm sorry that happened to you sir. Your store is way too expensive to have stuff like this going on.

Jewel-Osco overpriced

I went to a Jewel-Osco today and had the Monopoly pieces that were for free on items I also had items that were a $0.50 coupon. My free items I did not get at all. I ended up paying for everything that I had. Some of my 50 Cent coupons covered everything. So another words the free items that I needed to get I did not get I had to pay for today. I have a receipt and I have what I wrote down that was free items that I paid for. I am really disgusted and I really need some help in this situation. Thank you

Jewel-Osco checkout service

I was in your store Mon May 13 at around 3:45 PM. I am disabled and need a Walker to get around. I cannot handle walking for a long time. Once I finished shopping I went to the front lanes to check out. I choose the closest lane near my car. There were 2 people ahead of me, but I asked right away for help so the cashier knew I was disabled. The bagger refused to hy help me put my groceries on the conveyor belt. The cashier told me that I would have to walk to another cashier to get extra help. I told her that I could not walk to another cashier and then back. I asked her to call for help, but she refused. Then I asked for a manager, but she didnt call him either. I was about to go to the lane next to me which was a 15 item or less and ask if they could call for a manager, but an employee walked by and was kind enough to get the manager for me. I explained everything to him. He helped me un load my groceries and bring them to my car. It is very distressing that Jewel does not help people who are disabled. Other grocery stores that I shop at not only help me but they do it with a smile on their face. I now know that I cannot shop at Jewel without bringing a helper with me. Having a helper costs me money. I forgot to tell you that I was at the Skokie Jewel on Skokie Blvd near Old Orchard. Please call me to resolve what happened today. Sandi [protected]

Jewel-Osco stickney, il deli

This is the worst Jewel ever. I lived in the area my whole life and it has been a disaster the past 5 years.
Deli
The whole deli has the worst customer service. They always have attitude and they never help each other out. There will be several people doing things in back and they never assist the one person serving customers.

Hand Baskets
They never have hand baskets. They say customers steal them so they won't replace them. However, they waste money going back and forth with the self checkout. They put them in them room them out and now put them back in.

Employee Occupied Checkout
They only have a few open at a time, even in peak hours. This store is extremely under staffed.

Overall this store is terrible. It is blocks away from my house but I would rather driver to the North Riverside location. It runs much smoother. Any other Jewel I ever go to is just fine. I have often been to North Riverside, Orland Park, and Lemont. All great stores! Stickney, IL needs a complete overhaul!

Jewel-Osco flowers for mother's day

My husband bought 3 bouquets of flowers and cards from Jewel in Glendale Hts this morning... Mother's Day. I immediately did as instructed, cut stems, poured flower feed into water and put them in the water... all of the flowers are wilted and bent over. They didn't even last the day. Spent $108. Sickens me, this has NEVER happened from the flowers purchased from Mariano's and Target.
They were slimy when opened as well. All dead like they had been sitting there for weeks and frozen and sold... brought home and died immediately.

Jewel-Osco poor customer service leading to improper handling of groceries

Today I visited the Jewel in New Lenox, Il on Nelson road. I was completely mistreated by the cashier due to her poor customer service and downright snottiness. In addition, I loved the case of pop to be scanned and the cashier twisted it and literally hurt my wrist. I truly believe This was done on purpose. I have never experienced such poor customer service at any store in my life. And this is coming from a shopper who typically spends almost $300 a week at Jewel.

After the incident, I complained to customer service and nothing was resolved. When I got home, I unpacked my groceries and found nothing but damage. Cans were packed with soft things and boxes and groceries were dented. I immediately called the store back and talked to the Manager. I feel as if nothing was done and I was not even heard.

I ended our conversation with him telling him I will no longer shop at Jewel as it stands right now. I am very disappointed.

They hired me the lady was so rude at customer service told I would return. Called ask when I should comeback they said don’t the Manager Bill is so hateful and discriminates against minorities and only accommodates for its white employees Store 3488 Jewel watch yourself if you are looking to be employed

Jewel-Osco store director - jennie/ jenny (spelling)

I have a concern about a manager in your Jewel @ 819 S. Elmhurst Rd. Des Plaines Il. I want to start out that I am Handicapped. About three weeks ago i was walking to the store with the aid of my walker, on the side of your store (north side of building) you have landscaping rock. During the winter the plow service you use plowed the sidewalk, but in doing so plowed the landsape rock onto the sidewalk as well as onto the lawn, I'm talking hundreds maybe upto a thousand rocks. So I went into the store and spoke with a manager named Jenny? (spelling) anyhow while I mentioned the rocks I also mentioned the appearance on the outside of the store, light fixture hanging open, alcohol bottles always out front by the benches, cigarette butts, lots of them, always (daily). Also the fact that the little ashtray/waste bins always are overloaded. I'm a kind, polite person, ALWAYS... I mentioned to Jenny? who is the store director that I live one block east of the store since 1994 and that if I can take care of my property and have pride in doing so then Jewel shoud care for the outside of the store (eyesore). She listened to my concerns and actually sent someone out right away to work on the rocks, before I forget there was even a metal cart corral broken down leaning against the front end of the building. So now let me fast forward to Easter Sunday, I'm walking to the store (Jewel) and I notice that about 35 feet of the rocks have been cleared yet atleast another 110-130 feet of rock remain to be cleared, the sidewalk is mostly cleared of the rock but you still have a ton on the lawn as well. As I walked around the front of the builing to the entance I still see the light fixture hanging open, garbage, cigarette butts, bottles etc. I start my shopping and I see the same store manager that I spoke with weeks back. So I was again politely speaking with her, so as I attempt to mention to her about my concerns she abruptly stopped me and says she cleaned all that up so I mentioned to her in fact that she did not, then I also mentioned that I saw her attempt at cleaning the rocks and that I saw one employee (who has special needs) clearing the rocks, now remember I'm a very polite person. She then raises her voice in front of a good crowd of shoppers and tells me, what do you want from me? she mentions how she is going to have the parking lot done, new L E D lighting so I then asked again (still polite on my end) what does that havce to do with the rocks? the light fixture hanging open? or the garbage, cigarette butts or even the bottles? Your manager than raises her voice enen more and tells me... STOP RIDING MY [censored]! Nice Isn't that? Very professional right? The day after Easter I saw you had a fire out front of the store, maybe she will try and use that as an excuse? You know when the landscapers come out to mow that lawn full of rocks I hope they dont injure anyone driving by at that time, it is a four lane busy road. I know so many of your employees and I will say they all are really polite, kind, and more than helpful. Also I did go this past Thursday April 25th to speak with her about this, I wanted to give her a chance to say she is sorry. I found out that she was off, on vacation. One last thought for you to strongly consider, I have seen her belittle employees on many occasions while I'm shopping

Jewel-Osco unethical, unprofessional behavior, kitchen/fried food/feminine products

Good Morning Jewel's Team, Friday, April 26, 2019 @ about 6:50 I went to purchase the three orders of the eight piece fried chicken special I did not see the name tags but this happened at the 6014 South Cottage Grove Jewels. The one employee begin to accuse one for leaving going to lunch it was very crowed and only two were working, very unprofessional my number was called and she asked me what do you want in a nasty way, I had my family waiting for dinner so I ordered, she then asked, what else do you want and her face was so twisted I thought she would want to fight me if I asked for anything else, I thought in customer services over the years and should never change is Hello, may I help you, or Hello how can I help you today and will this complete your order, thank you, have a nice day. I thought that's how to represent a company, are you kidding me, she was so nasty. Saturday Morning at about 11 a.m. I tried to purchase feminine products from the lock glass. I asked a male manager afro American, can you please asked someone to open the case so that I may purchase item, I waited someone finally came who look so very angry
and she also asked me what do you want, she did not allow me to reach for the items I needed to purchase but grabbed the items and said I will leave these at
the register, so unacceptable and unprofessional, overall most of the time I hate going in this Jewels because all of their attitudes stink, you should do an undercover camera, I know this is not the vision of the owners, I feel bad going in
there but it is close for my family, but they make me feel horrible with their nasty
attitudes, even my children say the same the attitudes are not friendly at all, really we are working people just like they are, what right do they have to speak condensing to guest, oh and by the way customer service is not nice, they also don't know how to talk to guest please give these workers a class in excellent customer services.

Jewel-Osco meat department and management.

The Jewel Osco @ 20 W. Biesterfield Rd in Elk Grove, Il has a terrible problem. You cannot get help at the meat counter. Time after time I go there and you can see the butchers looking at you through the glass, while refusing to come out and help you. Sometimes I can force them out with a phone call, the phone is by the counter so they need to come out to answer it. Today that did nothing. Another staff member told me the one butcher was outside smoking.

The problem isn't what happened today, the problem is that it happens day after day!

The biggest problem? Management is aware and doesn't care enough to fix the issue. The staff in the meat department appears to be anti-customer, and the management seems to be detached from their purpose, which is customer service.

The deli and pharmacy staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Love them.

Jewel-Osco deli department

Eveytime I go and wait in line to order anything, no one seems to care to help. I will be the only one there and there are 7 employees working just looking at me and not asking if I need anything. Worst customer service ever. I don't know who is the manager there but they gotta do something about this. I don't like going there because I get treated differently than other people and that bothers me so much.
