My husband and I recently had a very negative experience with Jordan Mills, who is now operating out of the Miami area under the name JEM French Bulldogs. We felt confident that she was a reputable breeder and, after having met with her, placed a deposit on one of her puppies. A few weeks later, we found out from a friend of ours that she was previously operating under the names of Shore Side French Bulldogs and Cape May French Bulldogs, both of which have several allegations against them for poor breeding practices. When we reached out to Jordan to ask about these allegations, she immediately refunded our deposit without any explanation (and without us even asking), and updated her site to show our puppy as being "available" within 20 minutes of her reply. We were willing to see if Jordan has a reasonable explanation for the accusations, but the way in which she responded only confirmed all of our concerns. Based on what we could gather, and knowing that she works with breeders in other states, it became evident to us that Jordan operates as a puppy mill would, and is exactly the type of breeder that reputable, certified breeders will warn you about. As heartbreaking as the entire experience was, we're relieved to have cut all ties with Jordan and have taken a different approach to finding a breeder. If you're considering getting a puppy from Jordan / JEM French Bulldogs, I would strongly recommend searching for a certified breeder on the AKC.org site (you'll notice Jordan is not listed here). We also found that Jordan's prices were $500 - $1000 more than most certified, and even award-winning, breeders. Wishing you all the best of luck in your search!

If you are looking for an honest, reputable breeder? Look elsewhere. She appears to be a trustworthy person...but is far from it. If you make the unfortunate mistake of doing business with this woman, I would be certain to get everything in writing. Lots of great breeders around - do your homework.

I bought my Frenchie from a Breeder that Jordan knows! Edgar was her sire of my puppy which was owned by Jordan and she was Cape Cod French Bulldog back then and the dam was from the breeder I purchased him from! I bought him May 2012. Last May 1st 2016 I had to put my boy down 8 days shy of his 4th birthday because he was growing a small tumor in his spleen and he had bled out with a hemangiasarcoma and when the ER Dr told us we had a very sick dog we were shocked and devastated to say the least! When my daughter messaged Jordan she never got a response and the other breeder Kathie came back with well how do you know did they do a blood test or something to that affect! Moving forward to last June when Jordan had to put Edgar down right before he turned 8 yrs old I gave her some space and then messaged her to find out the reason why she put him down! To be clear Edgar has many off springs one being my daughters dog but 2 yrs older then what mine was so I would always say they were brothers from another Mother! Her response to me was I can assure you Lori it had nothing to do what Gus had and to move on with your life and enjoy the grandchildren since both my son and daughter just had babies within 5 months apart! The breeder I bought him from said to me that just because he bled out that wasn't enough! She wanted to know what they did and if they did a blood test and usually there are symptoms and they do a biopsy! I told her they did an ultra sound and based on the finding that's the type of cancer it was! My breeder told me that the brother that she kept back from the liter was fine and as far has she knew the 2 girls from this liter were fine too! There was no compassion from either Jordan or Kathy! Very disappointed in Jordan Mills especially since there are so many of her off springs from Edgar are in Massachusetts! Very unprofessional I didn't want my money back but some sympathy would have been nice so please people don't put Jordan Mills on a pedestal as a great breeder because when something goes very wrong with your dog she won't give a dam!

I totally agree 100% with original post. We delt with Jordan in NJ when she was DBA Shoreside French Bulldog. She imports puppies from the Urkraine and then resell them. We put a despot on a puppy and when we ask about the puppies parents- she told us they in the Urkraine. She immediately refunded our money. It seems like as soon as you question her- /she returns your money and contacts her attorney. Her breeder in Urkraine is Olga Jhingan- she's on Facebook

The experience described by the original poster was the complete opposite of ours. We purchased our French bulldog from JEM French Bulldogs in spring of 2015, and found Jordan Mills to be a caring, discerning, highly reputable breeder. Her puppies are raised indoors in a clean, loving environment, and Jordan kept us informed of the progress of each puppy in the available litters until they were old enough to go home to their new families. Jordan spent a lot of time with us over the phone, and when visiting her in-person before coming home with our puppy. Our Frenchie is healthy, happy, beautiful, and has the sweetest temperament. Jordan has stayed in touch with us and continues to be responsive and caring whenever we have had questions. We'd purchase another Frenchie from her in a heartbeat! I wholeheartedly recommend JEM French Bulldogs 100% to anyone serious about adding a French bulldog to their family.

Jordan is an AMAZING BREEDER! I know because I purchased a puppy from her. My frenchie Conan has been nothing but PERFECT! He is healthy, happy, and so fun! Thanks to Jordan I have a new member of my family! Jordan has been nothing but amazing from before I put down a deposit until now, 6 months after having Conan home. Any questions I ever have I can text her and she replies with only the upmost professionalism and concern for Conan. Does she have to do that? No. Does she want to do that? YES! It's because she absolutely loves her work and cares deeply about the breed. I am absolutely shocked to read the above complaint because Jordan has gone above and beyond what most breeders would ever do. I can't wait to get Conan a brother from her next summer! Keep up all your hard work Jordan! Thanks again for all you STILL do for Conan! :-)

In reply to the above complaint. I had my reasons as to why I refunded the deposit. I felt I did not want to move forward with a family who had reservations and I felt it was not going to be a relationship like I have with my puppy parents. I pride myself in the work I do as a breeder. Anyone that reads this review and has any reservations please contact me and I would be happy to explain myself and open up my home to you and take the time to answer ANY questions and help guide you as a breeder. I have many many references of past puppy buyers who are not only thrilled with there puppy but with me as a breeder. As far as the comment about the AKC website, ANYONE can post advertisements on it for a fee and many established breeders do not use advertisement sites but find puppy owners through references of past owners and organically not through paid advertisement. As far as my pricing it reflects what I put into my dogs between health testing, high quality food, plethora of bedding and toys as well a quality vet care for my adults and puppies. Many top breeders are in the same price bracket or above. I provide so much for my new families including an in depth puppy care pack with many items and this is something I have not seen in many breeders and is something my new families just love and enjoy. They feel it is thoughtful and very helpful. I do these things because I love what I do and I love the breed. I spent countless hours working with new families, having them visit my home, taking many photos and videos as well as doing a live stream so they can see the puppy whenever. I work very hard at this and breeding is part of my life. I socialize my puppies and care for them as well as my adults and my families see this from our correspondence and visits to my home. My home is very clean and my records are organized as well as my website and social media. Please feel free to contact me with any concerns.
