Jackson & Perkins roses

In January I started ordering flowers for my new home knowing that JP had such a good reputation and a surprise to my husband who loves rises I ordered over 1000.00 worth of plants . They did not arrive on time due to weather I was told in California which OK but plants started coming in dead and broken limbs and even though they did replace one plant I am totally surprised with the rose bushes from CA. They are awful small and thin and now leaves have fallen off and the plants ordered in January are still not here and the ones they dud ship were wrong. I called asking for all other orders to be cancelled and full refund and email confirming refund issued and was told had to wait for Aaron who was on a break must be a long break because I still have no response or apology, which would have been nice.

Jackson & Perkins bareroot hybrid teas dead on arrival

This spring I ordered ten bareroot hybrid tea roses from Jackson & Perkins. Over 40 years of growing hundreds of roses I had ordered many fine plants from this nursery, but haven't ordered bareroot roses from them in a number of years. The plants that arrived were spindly in the extreme, not the quality Grade 1 roses I was expecting, and 7 of the 10 never put out a single leaf following planting. Basically 70% of the plants were dead on arrival. I don't know what has happened to this once fine nursery, but I will never do business with them again.

Jackson & Perkins Product - our lady of guadalupe rose

I purchased this rose in May of 2016, got it in the ground right away, and it did well for the rest of the summer. This spring - DEAD - we had an extremely mild winter - the rose is just dead, and all my other roses are doing fine in similar locations. I called the company today 03/29/17 to ask if they could replace the rose and they said, "we only guarantee for 3 months".

Enough said regarding this company. Most reputable nurseries will replace lost plants within the first year, but not this one. They have tons of pretty pictures of their roses, but given my experience, I'm going to reputable nurseries from now on.

Jackson & Perkins Bushes were dead and the rep told me that it was ok

Guys, avoid the company Jackson & Perkins. I have bought three roses bushes and they were dead on the day of arrival. One looked ok, but it didn’t leaf out. I took photos of the bushes and followed the instructions, which were with these bushes. I sent pics to the owner and asked if it was ok, but he told me that it was fine. But couple of days later I threw all bushes away. Don’t rely on the staff from this company.

Jackson & Perkins Rose Died #SO1062262

Ordered the rose bush last fall and received it in the spring this year. Planted according to the directions (I have several other J&P roses for years as well that are thriving) and rose began to leaf out, then started turning brown and ultimately died. I was asked on April 22, 2015 by Chassidy at J&P to do a scratch test on this rose and email pictures, which I did. Never heard back from J&P. Sent another email on May 16, 2015 requesting a refund to my credit card, and have not heard back from J&P yet.

I was billed for two orders (charged on the same day) for $22.85 each X 2--or a total of $45.70
$45.70 minus $13.90=$31.80---THIS IS THE AMOUNT I WOULD LIKE CREDIT FOR

You indicate that you feel I got 4 packets--2 packets per order?
I don't know how you can come up with 4 packets
I understood the "Sea Magic" was $6.95 + shipping and the pic on your website (sent Feb 18th)
and on Amazon is 2 packets for $6.95.
I haven't seen any credit on my visa acc't yet---It's been a week since the last message I got from you said
you would credit my acc't (5269) last Monday----I'm loosing my patience and I have 60 days to notify my bank
and have both charges credited
In order to expidite this matter I can send both packets back to you for full credit--2X$22.85 total $45.70
Just send me the address and permission to return.

Jackson & Perkins over charge-no resolution

Although the Christmas arrangement was beautiful and arrived on time, I have a complaint with customer service.
According to their catalog, if I placed the order by Dec 16-17-18 noon 2008, (I forget the exact date), I would get a discount. So I called the 800 number and tried to place the order. They were out of the arrangement I wanted and suggested a few other things. OK, I ordered something else and I got the discount - total price quoted over the phone!
When the credit card bill came in - no discount.
I e-mailed my complaint to the customer service address and got a perfunctory response - "we received your e-mail". If they wanted to explain the difference to me, that would be fine. A year later - no explanation. I didn't call the 800 number again because I was afraid that I would mouth off too much.

This company has falsely advertised potted flowers pictured online following a link from a promo email. At no point during the navigation to select and purchase this item does J&P reveal that the recipient will receive a pot of dirt containing three bare bulbs. My emailed complaint was answered with an assurance that it states on p. 4 of their catalog that these bulbs will bloom in six weeks. What catalog? I was never directed to the catalog, never told that my gift would not remotely resemble the lush plant shown repeatedly during the ordering process. I fear others will be similarly deceived by this company's innocent or fraudulent misdirection.

Jackson & Perkins Absolutely ridiculous service

I placed an order with this company on 5/11/08 for a weeping rose tree for my yard. I paid extra for 2 day express shipping and received a confirmation stating that the arrival date for this product would be 5/21/08, arrival date, not estimated arrival date! I called J&P on the evening of 5/21/08 when I hadn't received the order and was told that because the company had been bought by another company that there was a delay and that my order wouldn't be shipped until the following week. I asked repeatedly for a supervisor and was refused. When I asked the customer service agent's name, she hung up on me. I called back and received a different agent who put me on hold to locate a supervisor (supposedly). She returned to the line a few minutes later and I was told that they would have to take my phone number and call me back. I asked what the supervisor's name was that I would receive a call from and she said that she didn't know which one it would be. I still have yet to receive a call from anyone at Jackson & Perkins. I sent an email to the customer service dept on 5/22/08 including the order number again asking for the order to be cancelled. Today 5/26/08 I received a response to that email saying that it was too late to cancel the order and that it shipped 5/23/08 and would arrive 5/29/08. Absolutely ridiculous service!

I purchased several roses from J&P, but 2 died and I've also taken photos, if the photos can be attached.

I ordered $90 of roses in April 2022. They looked terrible when I got them, but I planned them anyway. They really struggled and didn't come back. So I requested a refund or replacement. They refused to help. Terrible! Beware!

I ordered an amaryllis bulb for Christmas. We live in MN. Temps were -20 wind chill the day it was delivered. It was simply left in front of my garage door. The bulb was frozen. When I called the company I was told that they would not refund shipping charges as, once the item is shipped, the shipping is in the control of the shipping company. To add insult to injury, I was told I would have to pay to ship the item back. The service rep then tried to blame me as, supposedly, a shipping confirmation email supposedly with the planned arrival date had been sent. So, if a person orders from this company, apparently they expect you to sit at home (forget work obligations) to wait for their package due to an estimated date of arrival. I will never order from Jackson and Perkibs again.
