Jackson Furniture / Catnapper Sofa and loveseat flat laying

Sofa, and Loveseat recliner purchased February 6, 2020 at Schewels Furniture located in Covington, Virginia 24426. I am greatly disappointed and dissatisfied with your company's furniture that I purchased. I was under the assurance that your company is a reputable company whom produces fine quality furniture by the furniture store whom I purchased your furniture from. I had been in the market for a new living room suit and do not take purchases of such lightly. I was deciding between your furniture and that of two other furniture company's for my final decision but it was how your company portrayed itself to be a company that strived, excelled and guaranteed itself to be one of fine. Products. To get to the point of my complete dissatisfaction the furniture frame has bent or is some type of disrepair to say the least. Both the couch and loveseat reclining ends once reclined will not return into the couch/loveseat. The furniture was delivered by Schewels Furniture so there is no reason or excuse that the furniture has been moved in a fashion as to cause damage. I do not have young children or is the furniture at any time subject to any harsh treatment or abuse. If two individuals are seated on loveseat and the furniture seats reclined if one person tries to get up then the other person is for lack of a better term "dumped" into the floor and the loveseat tips. The recliners framework had somehow seemed to have lost its ability to maintain it's correct shape because if u are able to begin to get the seats to recline then the floor is scraped and so u are left having to keep the ends reclined outwards although there is no one seated so this looks rather crazy not to mention has damaged my hardwood floors scratching and damaging my flooring. I like to entertain a few friends and family but I am so appalled and embarrassed by this furniture that I have not been able to do so since a friend of mine was "dumped" into the floor spilling their drink on themselves and spraining their wrist. Imagine my horror. This set was around $4, 000.00. I feel as if I have been robbed. I have such regret every single day that I purchased and am making payments on this embarrassing and non-functional furniture. I continue to make payments because I for one do stand by my end of an agreement and for what I have promised I only hope that your company will do the same and replace or reimburse and relinquish my balance due to this products inadequate quality and worthlessness. I know that on a rare occurrence that perhaps there is a case of some furniture maybe not assembled properly. Or perhaps a flaw with the frameworks metal and so your company would honor it's guarantee and good name. It's understandable that perfection although strived for may not be achieved without incident. I just ask that you maintain your high standard of excellence and customer satisfaction and replace or reimburse this furniture. I would hate to think of your company as misleading and your product one of poor quality. Thank u and I appreciate your time and attention in this unfortunate issue. This is the exact complaint I sent them

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper Catnapper westin power reclining loveseat

Greetings,
My name is Rondall Stewart, 105 Brookwood LN, Wilmore, KY 40390. My home phone is [protected] and cell [protected].

I need warranty parts to repair my Catnapper Westin Power Reclining Loveseat that I purchased on June 06/06/2019 at Newby's Furniture in Harrodsburg, KY 40330.

I did try to go through Newby's Furniture but they did not show any interest in repairing the loveseat. They preferred that I replace it with a different manufactured loveseat. And so, please can you help me?

I had a furniture technician, Dennis Miller, inspect the loveseat to determine the repairs and parts needed. His company name is Furniture Medic, Nicholasville, KY.

Looking at the love seat from the front, Mr. Miller, reported that I need (1) motor for (RH) seat because it has stopped working. And a frame for the (LH) seat because it has a twist in it with the seat dropping in the (L) rear seat area.

I am sending pictures of the loveseat and receipt.

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper Sofa, recliner and loveseat

I bought the catnapped sofa, loveseat and recliner in Illinois and have since moved to Louisiana. Now my loveseat and recliner are broken and I can't get any help to get it fixed. I even purchased the extended warranty and no one wants to help. I am begging someone to please fix my furniture! I paid over $3k for now less than a year it to be broken. I have been trying to call and get help since Feb and I'm still getting the run around. There has to be someone out there to help!

Desired outcome: My furniture to be fixed or replaced.

My furniture has been done since December still waiting for them to find a freight company to get ship to my dealer It's out my hands plus the the dealer they just make excuses the continue to post on their Facebook but can't even get the furniture that's done ship if make comments on their Facebook the remove it than block you what a joke

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper Catnapper chair recliner.

Arm broke away from my Catnapper power recliner. Paid good money, now it's junk. It wasn't abused, I treat furniture gently. One day I got up & the arm snapped. I'm 6ft, 245lbs. That shouldn't happen. Also, the chair bent backwards over time. I had to put a 2x4 under the back legs to level the seat. Utter garbage. How do I get my money back, lawsuit?

The Catnapper lift chair I purchased from American Furniture Warehouse for $1000.00 and forty the motor broke after only having it for 33 days! I sleep in the lift chair so when I was asleep the lift without touching the controller rapidly moved me into the sitting position and would not go into any other position so I had to sit in the position and have my feet dangling in pain! I called American Furniture Warehouse and explained my dire situation and they said well just have to send out a tech that probably be there in three days! My nurse came over and I told her about the situation, she told me that American Furniture Warehouse should deliver a new chair and that I should keep calling until I got results! Every time that I call I got the same response! That they could not replace the chair and that they would send a Technician out as soon as they had availability! I asked if I could talk to the supervisor and the woman I talk to said she was a supervisor!

I am disabled, have severe osteoarthritis in my hips and my right knee have a knee replacement in my left knee have severe arthritis in my back I can’t even sleep in a bed I need that cat nap or to get some sleep I bought it at American Furniture Warehouse and it cost me like over $1000 I’m on SSI and spent all the money I have to buy with these chairs to help me and I asked if I can just replace for another one they said no and they said they sent a repairman out and he said the motor went bad I’ve only had it for a month and three days I think I should be able to get another one although I don’t know if I want one even because of that poor quality of it breaking down in only a month and three days. I hope that my review will make people read all the reviews before spending so much on on a chair that is needed to sleep in! Now I don’t have the money to buy another power lift chair also I have to sleep in the chair in pain because I have Edema and my feet are all swollen up and saw my calves are too! I feel that I should have a new lift chair delivered! I purchased the chair 3 days and one month and the motor already broke! I guess that I should have looked at reviews before I purchased this on but because of the severe pain that I am in when the other lift chair broke and was made of cheap vinyl and the fact that I sleep in a lift chair I had to send my temporary care giver to purchase one for me, I didn’t have any time to do look at reviews!

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper Catnapper automatic recliner 2019

I purchased the recliner at the end of 2019 from Bobs Furniture in Maine. The power button has always worked sporadically. Today the recliner will not close at all. It will recline though. I've tipped it to the side and checked all the wires and I unscrewed the button to see if I could reset something but I could not. It's basically a brand new recliner.

Desired outcome: I’d like it repaired or replaced.

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper Sofa right side does not match the left - plastic pull came off in my hand - can’t put foot rest down

We purchased our Catnapper sofa 10/15/20 replacing a Lazy Boy that we had for almost 20 years. The Lazy Boy still looked new and was comfortable. We just wanted a change and new color for our living room. Went to Big Sandy Superstore in our local area in WV.
Selected the Slate gray sofa, not electric version do to thought of power outages. Delivery in a timely manner via Big Sandy Super Store.
But from day one the foot rest was a issue, no way to release to put down except using your legs. I'm very short and that was one of the factors
When I sat on the display in the store. The right side of the sofa does not match the left and sags on our new carpet. In January 2021 I went to raise the foot rest and the plastic pull came off in my hand. Contacted Big Sandy Super Store no help. Contacted Catnapper via text with very minimal response. Finally with many calls which I documented Big Sandy Super Store said they would replace the plastic pull but it would be March 2021. I told them this wasn't expectable but we had no choice. I am so disappointed with this sofa and the quality for not a cheep sofa.
I am filing a complaint with BBB and Attorney General's Office and Consumer Report. Please don't waist your money as I feel we did.
We will go back to Lazy Boy for quality.

Desired outcome: Replace Sofa with one that pull handle isn’t plastic and comes off in my hand -sides match and foot rest release easily.

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper Sofa and loveseat

I purchased a couch and love seat manufactured Jackson Furniture / Cat napper from Conn's HomePlus in Raleigh, NC for almost $2000. The problem with the furniture is that it has a strong, very foul odor. I can taste it in the air, I smell it, it bothers my sinuses, sometimes makes my eyes water and gives me a sore throat.
It was a replacement for another sofa, but it has the same issue as the first one! After I investigated, I found out that both were manufactured in north Mississippi, so maybe both factories use the same supplier. A representative from Jackson Furniture / Cat napper did confirm that formaldehyde is used in their products, however, I can't say for sure if that's what the problem is.
I don't know if this furniture is only making me sick or slowly poisoning me because neither the manufacturer nor the retailer will help rectify the situation or give me any more information. There are some foul chemicals in this furniture that cause me health issues and so far the manufacturer and retailer seem to be trying to cover it up. If they don't care about people's health, I don't know if they can be trusted.

Desired outcome: tell me how to take this chemical out of my couch, or work with Conn's to give me a refund or replacement

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper Recliner

I purchased a recliner 2 years ago from Standard Furniture in Alabama. After 3 months the recliner started to sag with filling separating on the foot of the recliner. Standard Furniture sent someone out 3 times to add stuffing into the chair. Then the chair separated between the back and seat of the chair. I was given an exchange for the faulty recliner. I received the replacement recliner, and within the year the material started to separate AGAIN, and over all comfort of the chair is non existent. Now the foot has completely separated, and filling is coming out of the bottom of the chair, and the back and cushion are coming apart, and the recliner is no longer comfortable and looks horrible. I paid over $600. for the recliner and I'll NEVER purchase a Catnapper product again. Waste of money.

we purchased a sofa and loveseat at appalachian country furniture in Newport, Tenn on 6/25/2016 the loveseat is fine but sofa inside material has broken lose and saging have to keep pulling cushion back in place would like to know if anything can be done don't know it still under warranty

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper Catnapper automatic 2 recliners, couch automatic couch

All the products that are listed here have been digging into the hardwood floors causing deep gashes in my real hardwood floors The leather on the arms is pulling away from the rest of the chair. I paired around 3, 000 dolLars for my furniture and it was made ib Feb 2020 and it is now Oct 2020 and this furniture is falling apart as well as tearing up my real hardwood floors. This is just my last experiance with this company. I have a recliner that is sheeding the leather faster than I can sweep it up. I also bought living room suit prior that leaned out and was pealing. It also would not close and has been very poor quality. Dont buy this furture it will disappoint and waste your money.

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper Couch love seat chair with ottoman

We have the Love seat, couch & chair with ottoman. After having this for 2 months the back inside couch wood broke, we contact the furniture store they picked it up and fixed it. Then about a year later the fabric on one chair started to wrinkle and then peeling. After trying and trying to contact the furniture store to see what could be done about this they had to wait on the respond from you all. They can picked it up and refabric the back rest on the one couch. one year later the whole couch is peeling even the one that is kept upstairs in the guest room no one even seats on. We have contacted the furniture store again now they are telling use these items had been Discontinue, you all can't send any more fabric to replace like last time. We paid too much money for what we thought was a nice set that was going to last more then 2 1/2, 3 years.
The peeling is down to the fabric. Very Very poor quality! Something needs to be done! This is just not fair!

Purchased in July 2019, from Rye's furture in Dickson Tennessee. Jackson Furniture / Catnapper article # 20011032001 power bob-0-pedic recliner made by catnapper serial# 5287063 style #565417 reg# 95a9436 purchase date 09/16/2018

The steel frame on the right hand side of the foot rest mechanism metal snapped off, so the foot rest raises on the left side and doesn't raise on the right side! I called bob's and was told the 1 year warranty has expired that service man would have to come for $79.00 to look at it to see if
Parts were still available for me to purchase from the manufacturer! After I receive the parts I would have scheduled another service visit, I tried to find out if this covered under the original service visit, which the person that works for bob's could not answer and put me on hold again till I was cut after 50 minutes. I feel this should be covered under the limited life time warranty, because this workmanship defect! I emailed catnapper 2 times with no response. This purchase at bob's discount furniture 241e. Sunrise highway freeport new york 11520
[protected] on 09/16/2018 along with fcp-bd-po5 goof proof kit insurance policy, which will not cover it because it needed to a accidentally breakage! Total amount spent $542.02 now I am a owner of worthless piece of crap sitting in my den! My happiness of owning this

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper recliner

I bought two catnapper recliners from Allen's Furnature in Princeton West Virginia. I have had them less than a year. One recliner is fine so far however, the other one is ridiculous. I didn't notice it when I first got it but the top started to slump and the back is going back slightly. I called Allen's Furnature in October and a repair man came to the house December 31, 2019. He looked at the recliner and compared it with the other one. He found that the recliner had no springs in the back of the chair. He recommended that I should receive another one. When they brought the new one I examined it and it had no springs either. I did not except it because the same thing would happen to that one. I have called about every week and I get the same response. " We are trying to find you one". This is February 15 and still no satisfaction. If I would have read the reviews I would not have bought these two recliners. We were planning to buy a loveseat to match what we have. Now I'm not sure what to do. My chair is not the most comfortable thing to sit in. Especially since the top slumps over. Allen's Furnature states catnapper stands behind their products I guess I will eventually find out.

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper catnapper lift chair

I bought Catnapper Lift Chair in April for over $1200. One arm of it was sinking in more and more. After I had it for 6 months, I made a few calls to furniture store they send someone to see and repair. There is a piece of wood that goes front to back on top and attaches at each end to cross pieces. The long one that is front to back was much too short and not attached at back end; it was just hanging there. The man replaced wood and did a good job. I'm pleased.
BUT - I sent message to Jackson Catnapper Company ONLY to let them know so they can probably check that department quality control.
Ha! I received an apparently GENERIC email, (from Tamra Ford), telling me they don't take care of repair issues but they have a limited warrant, and to call the selling dealer to get my repair done. The woman didn't even address my issue/concern. *I already had told them repairbwas done. So, I sent another email to let them know I didn't appreciate the Generic response and to suggest they check quality control. I never heard back.
We want another lift chair and I am sure it won't be a Catnapper.
Jackson Catnapper does not care about customers.

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper lift recliner

I have purchased two catnapped lift recliners and we are having trouble with a sand like grain coming out of the seems and maybe through the leather type covering. I have taken samples back to the dealer ( Laughlin Furniture) a they spoke to the factory representative and I sent pictures. This has been several months past and I have not heard anything. My sister who is an amputee and has no use of her other leg stays I. The chair 24 hours a day ( she sleeps in it also). Her mobility is from the chair to a wheel chair, to the restroom. She uses a transfer board for her mobility. Every time she transfers out of the recliner there is the sand like material in the seems and in the seat that she has to nick out. My concern is what is the sand grain and where is it coming from and is there any thing in it that might cause infection or posion.

We purchased the chairs because she liked the comfort of it and the softness of the leather covering. The other concern if the sand grain material is coming from the padding will the manufacture replace the chairs. There has been on abuse of the chair or leather material.

Bought a recliner, first day noticed footrest doesn't come up right. Day two the springs begin squeaking when reclining, day three springs sound like a 20 year old mattress, chair leaning to left... Day 4 moving makes squeaking noise. Went to dealer promised to fix (waiting). When opened back cover noticed rust on springs and wood chips... Apparently they use old worn out rusty springs, paint them and build chairs from scrap parts. Day 10 threads coming out of footrest, one seam is almost threadbare. Upholstery on front side panel is bunching up. This company is ripe for a consumer protection act lawsuit, class action maybe.

Jackson Furniture / Catnapper catnapper couch & chair/ottoman

We have the couch & chair with ottoman. After having this for about 3-4 months, the set started peeling. We contacted the furniture store and they sent us new cushion covers. This proved to be a temporary solution to a permanent problem!
The peeling is down to the fabric in a couple places. The stitching is also coming out in a couple places! Very Very poor quality! We have a very nice house & this ruins the looks of our entire room - EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!
We would gladly take a credit toward new furniture of the same brand & try a replacement or perhaps we pay shipping on a new set - this needs taken care of ASAP!
I have provided pictures & as you can see... we do not live in filth and take care of things. There are two of us and very minimal wear on our furniture.
Please let me know what we can do to get this taken care of! We are asking that you do what is right & we will continue to be a customer... however, we have spent lots and lots of money with your company and depending on this outcome may never buy your brand again!
Please let me know what you can do to help us. We are very reasonable and never write complaints! This is fully justified & I hope you will do what is right!
