Purchased 12/09/22? 12/29/22? Can’t read his writing, Voucher no. Is 3128832-First of all the sales person came into my business while I had a customer, I will say he is good at sales and convinced me to purchase. The prawns were mushy caused digestive problems and need to dispose of the rest, then tried the steaks and they are very thin and tough. Very disappointed and afraid to try the rest of the shrimp that was included in the package I purchased. What a waste of hard earned $300

Brown and unedible

The whole transaction was scetchy on 7/24. We are unable to find information about this company anywhere and by the time I went to tell my husband don't do it, the transaction was already done. Don't even want to open products based on reviews and uncertainty of getting sick/not being able to return. I need a full refund or extreme measures will be taken. You can take the product back for all I care but you took advantage of us being young.

I have yet to read one good review and feel like this is a scam. How do I get my money back? Salesman came to the door and gave me 8 steaks for $50 which seemed like a good deal but I'm a bit scared they'll charge my card more. The reviews have me terrified. I am just wondering if they're is a way to get that money back. I'll return the product. I don't want to get sick.

On 4/11/2020, a salesman came to our door selling cases of steaks. He assured us it was premium, high quality beef. We purchased $399.00 of the beef. About a week later, we had company for dinner & BBQ the filets. It was so embarrassing. The steaks were horrible & inedible. They were very tough & had a membrane running thru every steak. We tried the ribeye steaks last weekend & they were awful as well. We will give them the product back & would like a refund. I have tried to contact them online & their website is gone. I will never ever buy beef from someone I don't know, I think we were sold an inferior product for alot of money.

Shane pulled in driveway while I was working in the garage. Gave me the story apparently used on many others that he only had 3 boxes of meat (beef) left in his truck and really wanted to get rid of them. He'd make me a great deal. I explained that I really didn't need the meat but he was insistent. He opened all the various cuts of meat...they looked ok. He was quick to give me 2 cases for the cost of one. Even put them in the freezer for me. I wrote a check. No receipt, no guarantee, etc. I fixed a ribeye on the charcoal grill for supper. Tough and little flavor. I sure regret being taken. I generally don't give in, but I was hot and dirty and assumed (wrongly) maybe this was like the Omaha steak company. I suspect much of the meat will go in the garbage unless tenderizer or marinading will help. Sure wish I hadn't been so gullible. Salesman said he was from Peoria; check was cashed immediately. 9/19/19. Wish I had my money back and wish I had the opportunity to have researched on the internet...obviously a bad company with poor products. Really feel like I was scammed. The salesman was Shane Joos.

On Sept. 5th, 2019 a white van from Iowa meat come to our house, a saleman came up to our door said, he had a few boxes of meat, and he would give us a good deal. He showed us the frozen package, I told him we do not have room in our freezer, he said he can take the meat and he could get all of it in the freezer. He said if we buy 2 boxes, he would give us the last box he had in his truck, he was getting another shipment the next day and needed to empty the truck. We fell for it, he would not take a credit card, just a check or cash. When I proceeded to write out the check for $375.00, I asked who do I write it out to, and he said just leave it blank, I will stamp the Company's name and mail you a receipt. He said he would not charge us sales tax. He put his name Ben Rothburger on the check and cashed it the next day. We have not received a receipt. He took all the boxes for his sons, who are boyscouts and they recycle. We tryed two rib eye strips the next day, they were so tough, we could not cut them with a steak knife. One was pink and the was dark bloody red, the edges were brown. He said the hamburger was 80/20, it's light pink and I got half cup of tallo from 6 ounces of meat. It was then we knew we got scammed. I called the phone number [protected] that he gave me and an answering machine, not his voice, saying leave a message and we will get back to you. That failed about a dozen times. We are both in our 80's, something needs to be done, this man needs to be caught and stopped. We can not eat this meat. We need a settlement for the price we paid him.

Salesman came to my office and was very aggressive with his sales tactics, he wanted me to buy one box at 249.00 and I would get a second one free since he claimed to have 85 cases in his very small refrigerating unit on his truck. When I told him I needed to talk to my husband first he asked me why and that I didn't need his permission for anything. Then told me he wanted cash or a check. I told him no again and he demanded a company check for it, i told him I am not authorized to do so and he told me oh it's fine you work here just sign one and he'd give it to me for 200 bucks I again said no and he got rude about it. I asked for a business card and he told me to just take a picture of his brochure. Never gave me a name and continually looked around our office as if he was casing it looking to see what we had and continually telling me to sign a company check. He then told me he wasn't giving up on me and he would be back...he did not have a permit to sell in the city and if he comes back I will be calling the police! Made me feel extremely unsafe and uncomfortable! This guy is trying to commit fraud and get people to lose their jobs with his just sign a company check and trump will give you 56% back if you claim it as a cust satisfaction. So unprofessional and disrespectful!

I bought a box of steaks and ground beef from a man who said he was 'delivering in the neighborhood and had one box left in his truck'. I bought the box of meat for $354.96. This was on April 14, 2019 a check made to Ben Rothberger.
It is the worst meat we have ever had. The only thing edible is the ground beef. Steaks are grisley, unchewable and even uncuttable with a steak knife. The flavor is not of good quality either.
I would like to return it and get a refund. I need it out of my freezer.

I am 9 months pregnant and was asked to buy some steaks because a lady wasn't home and they couldn't wait any longer to keep them I did not want them but the guy got the box and brought it to me porch I then said we don't eat any of these steaks we like our steaks from our normal place and I didn't wanna make the call because my husband was not home but the guy would not take no for an answer. I don't think it's right to come up to a 9 months pregnant wife while her husband is not home and not take no for an answer

Some guy in a black van with the logo Iowa Steak Company came to my dad's private property, signs visible no trespassing and several of them down our dirt road.
Dude said he was in the area meeting neighbors and selling meat. I told him maybe next time and he said he wouldn't be in the area for a year or so. Then after I said my dad would be home soon he took off quick.

I bought off a man who was selling in my neighborhood thinking I could try something new and I knew others who sold meat. After I thawed a couple out I noticed that all the blood ran off the meat revealing a horrible gray color. The meat was so squishy it fell apart in my hand. I opened up the bag and it had a horrible odor. All of the meat I had purchased besides the burgers were just rotten. Next time I see one, I'm vegetarian!

I had a truck come to my home. Salesman told me he had an ordered that was canceled and he had great buy on premimum meat package. I got the box for 130. He told me is was a prime cut flash frozen top of the line meat "better than what fareway has". Fact it is by far the worst meat I have ever had. This is a scam! Do not buy from them. They are out of grimes iowa and when to try to call you get no one> I will see you one day [censor]! I will get my 130 back out of your [censor] if needed! Iowa biker

The stuffing is nasty, and old and smells, the steak was so much grizzle I've called the Cincinnati office and have gotten nothing but a run around. Phone number 513-825-8000.. I was told last week sometime would come and replace our shine and steak. No one came. Then I was told the weather was bad and the new shipment was late. Now when I call I get answering machine. I feel like I was scammed... Never had answering machine before. This is really bad business... Selling to people that is no good...

We just dealt with a very shady sales rep. The steaks were from Iowa steaks. Yet the salesman crossed out Iowa on the sales receipt and had us write the check out for ohio steaks. He was very unprofessional and very pushy. So we canceled our check and canceled the meat and again he was very unpleasant and unprofessional he couldn't tell us what kind of meat or if it was grass fed or organic. The thing that got me was how he would not take no for an answer and he begged us to take the meat and going on about his bonus that he needs cause he's getting married . And then going on about he needs to be in Akron in half an hour, as his fiance's mother is dying and they're taking her off the ventilators. Yet we live 2 hours from akron. He came back to pick up the meat today, and refused to leave until I gave him $40 for a cancelation fee, even though it said on the receipt we had 3 days to cancel it. He also gave us his personal number to call him if we needed anything, and got very angry when I told him we tried to call the company. He said his name was Mark Roote, but on the receipt he signed his name Park Roote. He stood there and yelled at me and refused to leave, even after I gave him $40 just so he would leave. I finally threatened to call the cops before he left. Just very suspicious and unprofessional.

Meat was packaged and frozen to appear to be a "filet, " but when thawed, it was clearly just a chunk of tough meat made to look like a filet. No matter how it is cooked, it remains tough and chewy.

I was quoted a "special sale price" of $150, but in the end, it was over $180 for a low quality meat product.

I request a full refund.

Don't buy this product!

I purchased from a wonderful salesman that came to my door gave me a so-called bargain on meat that is so tough my dog could hardly eat it I purchased a variety of steaks tried three of one type and three of a nether was not told I only had 3 days for refund sorry I did not read the back of the slip but according to the driver I could call and have a refund did not give specific time was purchased the end of May 2017 started calling them June 14th 2017 was told I would receive a call back surprise no call back so I now have a freezer of meat and no room to buy groceries that I can eat

I post dated my stamps so she gave me the meat and when it was time to take my money off my foodstamp card every single stamps I had was taken off and now I have to worry about how to get groceries this month for my family...the amount of stamps I had on my card was 482 dollars and all she was supposed to take off was 310 bu tf she had them all taken off...I really would appreciate it if someone could contact me and get this issue resolved or I will make sure Noone here orders from this company again...thanks so much

I encountered your delivery driver who drives an Iowa Streak van with the license plate number DSH647 on New Cut Rd in Louisville, Ky today (6-18-17). He threw a Ziploc baggie of something out his driverside window, then his cigarrette box wrapper quickly followed. I yelled to him, to stop littering, and that this world was not his trash can. He flipped me the bird and proceeded to speed past and slow down in front of us. He was kind enough to go so slow that I was able to get his license plate number before we turned off. I am sure Iowa Steaks does not encourage such rude, crude, and illegal behavior.

Salesmen came to our door in January, 2017, and offered a variety of steaks and burgers. Bought the package and found the steaks to be tough, stringy and very small in size. I complained in April and the company replaced the entire package: steak for steak, burger for burger. Second package of meat is no better. I wanted my money back but got no where with that. I am ready to go to the Better Business Bureau as to the poor quality of meats. I have bought steaks from Omaha Steaks and have found their steaks much better than Iowa Steaks. I want my money back and return the rest of the steaks to the company. I am ashamed to serve this product to family and friends.
