Intoxalock Device

Less than a month before the intoaxolck device is to be removed the electronics in the car start to go haywire. Starter, alternator and battery all fried. Not to mention when initially signed up the contract was for a single bill per month upon the 3rd of every month as was agreed and recorded. Been billed twice a month all time and they refuse fix

Intoxalock Customer service

I took my work truck for calibration. The calibration machine broke and my unit would not start my truck. I was told to call intoxalock for a mobile technician to bring me another. The other services stated he would not travel that far. My servicer received the replacement in it today and it failed to program 4 hand units he had. Intoxalock is sending him another machine. Meanwhile I call Intoxalock and ask if I can pick up the hand unit from the mobile tech who would not travel to me and was told no the vehicle had to be present. 2 days of missed work. 1 hour and 42 minutes on the phone and no resolution. Worst customer service I've experienced.

Intoxalock Paid for unprovided service

I desmond peterson was intoxalock customer had a device installed in my vehicle from misleading representative I let him know what happened in another state as far as me having a device installed two years before not under the right authority or paperwork. This intoxalock rep still allowed me to go ahead and install I paid the fees and before I was to pay the first months payment it was revealed to me that I was not under the right paperwork intoxalock paid to get the device removed and have not yet refunded my money they continued to bill me after the device was removed. They told me to send proof of payments I did and it seems they are not deciding to pay back money they are taking out of my bank account
The representatives that I speak with continue to be rude and uninformative to whats going on with my case they do not proived their full names not allow me to speak to supervisor

Intoxalock Customer service with account specialist

I have had issues out of our hands with their handheld device. This time They end up shipping the new machine for calibration to a business rather than our home without informing us. I called numerous times waiting over an hour to talk to someone. Finally, when I got a hold of a live person they would disconnect the call as they were transferring me to an account specialist to file a complaint. The account specialist would not let me talk just said there was nothing they could do. She was so rude and without warning just placed me on hold for another 20 minutes just listening to their music just to hang up on me. before doing that she informed me the missed recalibration was reported to my husband's PO already and there was nothing they could do. How could they be so unprofessional dealing with people's freedom? I have looked for an email or an alternate number to file a complaint and can not find one. Today is 08/29/2020 Customer ID 1066785 the representative was stacy no further information and the account specialist didn't provide her name. I dialed [protected]

Had it installed wednesday, car battery dead next morning. $40 ever two weeks after promising me it would be half price, Wisconsin sent me a bill to pay to have my license reinstated, but havent had a WI license for 10 years! Minnesota shares with Wisconsin DUI info, so being punished twice for first DUI. They rubber stamp everything, lawyer no good. Intoxilock said lease was for a year, but state may overturn that lease in required 6 months. Talking soon to lawyer about selling car. $500 will go better to friends giving me rides then the death machine "Intoxilock".

Intoxalock I've had so many problems

I've had so many problems using the Intoxalock with the low breath pressure setting. Has worked at times, then it doesn't, and I can't finish the last out breath. Have had to drive at least five or six miles with my horn going off. Got a new device under two weeks ago, and it's been no better. Have called customer service a number of times, having to wait up to 30 minutes to get through. Have been told different things by different reps, including being told to call back when the compliance department was open. Next rep told me that there is no way to transfer to compliance. And it seems that after a certain amount of time, I get disconnected, hearing "I can't hear you, " before the click. One rep even told me I should contact another company! I only have five more weeks, and don't want to pay to have this thing taken out and another device installed. On Wednesday, I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that there wasn't one available, but I could leave a message and she'd call me back within 24-48 hours. Never happened. Not the first time I left a message for a supervisor. I find this lack of service unacceptable! I pay almost$100 a month for the service and should be able to drive my vehicle.

Intoxalock Please help me

I have had intoxalock in my car now for a year. Went to get my license back was told I had been revoked since aug of last year. Now I need to start over. The mva has a letter to be signed at intoxalock dealer with "a raised" seal nobody knows what i'm talking about help. I'm trying to get this straightened out so that I can drive to my job in va. I don't even know where to begin, i've been on the phone everyday for hours trying to find somebody to answer me this is putting my family and in an inhumane spot as not being able to provide. My interlock is "still" in my vehicle never had it taken out. The form is for an installation that is already installed. Please help

Intoxalock Intoxalock state compliance coordination management

On 05/15/2019 Intoxalock and I entered a lease with a customer ID#829472 being assigned to my account. I willingly entered this agreement predominantly because of their advertised assurance of assisting clients through the state of California DMV compliance requirements. These assigned agents possessing varied titles including "State Compliance Specialist" and State Experts" and "Compliance Coordinator" and Compliance Manager" and State Experts" within Intoxalock. On 06/21/2020 I fulfilled the California State DMV mandated 1 year IID requirement. I personally contacted the MAU and was verbally informed that the 1 year mandate was indeed completed as of 06/21/2020. At this point I then contacted Intoxalock and requested the assistance in assuring the compliance of and then the removal of the leased device. Within an hour of the request, I was called back with the good news that we could continue with the removal process. I had confidently assumed that Intoxalock had contacted the Monitoring Authority DMV because they assured me that we would now schedule the device removal. Removal occurred on 06/26/2020. On 06/29/2020 I obtained the Ignition Interlock Notice Of Removal (dl-922) and immediately attempted to submit it at my local DMV in person. At this time I was informed that my restricted license would be suspended because of an unauthorized removal of the IID and that I could not retain a restricted license unless I first reinstalled an IID and the DMV obtain a new Verification Of Installation Ignition interlock Form (DL 920).
Intoxalock is licensed in California and undergoes Occupational Licensing Compliance requirements that include the California Regulatory Notice Register Volume No. 40-2 Page 1755..."Requires an installer to verify a drivers eligibility with the department prior to installing or removing an IID".
The entirety of the afforementioned experience has been unfortunate but I remain hopeful that Intoxalock will be able to comply with their own expectation of accountability as well as the decent efforts to maintain their advertised services in assisting clients maintaining compliance within their states. Intoxalock Intoxalock

Worse Service EVER! Give your money to the other companies. Hopefully the other companies won't try and steal your money from you.
I have had a 1 year and 4 months already with no real big issues just minor inconveniences (which I figured I deserved because obviously I have Intoxalock) until today. I had a lock out due to NO FAULT of my own besides I blew in my breathalyzer and used my remote start to cool off my car (100 degrees and humid) well apparently it isn't supposed to start with remote start at all which I knew it wouldn't until I blew but figured if I blew and it said passed it didn't matter how I started my car But that's what caused my lockout. NOW I have spent well over an hour and a half on the phone to still have nothing resolved besides them saying you should just have to go into your service center and when I go their they say Interlock needs to Set it up and with my 2 phone calls already failed to do so. They didn't have a manager I could talk to. I pay every month, go in at the recommended times to have it calibrated, NEVER FAILED ONE TEST and they still are strong arming me for MORE MONEY. WHAT A JOKE! no matter what you do they will keep taking and taking. I wish would've read the reviews more before purchasing. Definitely STAY AWAY!

Intoxalock Questionable business practices

Misleading advertising regarding "free installation" & device protection $5.00 which is actually every 2 weeks so...$10.00 monthly various additional fees like set up fee & data processing fee as well as other charges not included like calibration & removal. Device will also not accept another person's usage which turns out to be a huge problem because I had it installed on a vehicle not registered to me & the sober owner could not get his alternate vehicle out of driveway without moving the vehicle with the device installed in it. That caused him to miss various appointments including lab work & a office visit to his Dr.

Yes there fees and claiming the installation is free is entirely false. They have you receive a rebate from to fill out and mail in but will claim to never receive the rebate forms even if you mail it with a confirmation of delivery. They change what date they bill you every month to try and get the bill to pull before your normal pay periods and are quick to tack on fees.

Intoxalock Device customer service

I called Intoxalock with a question regarding my device and it really floored me how rude the customer service rep was. I was amazed at the impatient and irritability that I was immediately greeted with. I so look forward to getting this bulky and awkward Intoxalock device out of my vehicle so that I never have to call or deal with Intoxalock again.

Intoxalock iid during covid-19

My complaint is regarding the Intoxalock device that drains power to my battery so quickly that I have to drive my vehicle needlessly and waste fuel each day during this pandemic-related stay at home order. I received a lockout charge because my battery died completely and the company refused to refund the money although I reported the issue right away.
It is really awful to take advantage during a time like this when it is the company's device that is the culprit. I am already paying an overpriced lease fee each month, especially considering there is not a need to be driving right now. Robbery.

In addition, I tried to use the company's online chat and just received a robotic response. Not helpful at all.

I had the same problem, I ended up buying a battery charger, to charge the battery on days I’m not driving. Can’t wait till it's removed

Intoxalock Reimbursement

On November 18, 2019 My Device Malfunctioned. I am a security guard. I was guarding an orchard 15 miles out of my city from 6pm to 6am. My intoxalock is in the vehicle voluntarily. I need to keep the motor running due to the fact that there are no lights in the orchard so I use my headlights. I turned off my engine to conserve gas. When I attempted to restart the device would not turn on. I called your customer service agent and she was unable to help. Subsequently I was required to call a tow truck. Two days later your company sent me over the equipment to reconnect the device in my vehicle at the service center you have established in my area. I was assured that my tow would be reimbursed.

I first sent over the receipt which was denied due to the fact that the tow driver did not write paid on the receipt. I then called him to rectify this issue. On 12/ 12/10, 12/18/19, / 1/3/20 I sent over copies of the receipt marked PAID CASH $100. For some unknown reason your company has not acknowledged these e-mails and updated my account. I have sent each e-mail to the exact same e-mail address that you received the first receipt from, help@intoxalock.com, the first receipt was denied, I e-mailed the other three to the same e-mail address, however you claim to have not received them. I am now under the impression that your agents are purposely not acknowledging my e-mails just so you don't have to give me my reimbursement that I was assured I would receive.

I am a reliable customer. As said this account is on a voluntary status and I have paid my fees on time every month. I would expect better treatment as such. I will move my business elsewhere if this issue is not resolved. I will also refer all individuals in my class to go to LifeSafer Ignition Interlock.

I'm on my 3rd machine state ordered and 3rd battery in 6 months and also can not seem to get reimburse and I have roadside assists on my plan, roadside never showed never called and when I call them i hang up after being on hold for an hour at a time. all i can say is beware of this comp.

Intoxalock product and service are the absolute worst

I had an Intoxalock put in at the end of October, 2019. This is 2 months later. I've had to put in 2 NEW batteries! AAA has had to jump start my car five different times, and once I needed to get a tow bc the the car died in traffic. I had the car running, tried to put it in park and get out to get the mail. Everytime I opened the car door the hood would start beeping! I did not have care issues before the device was put in. I've had my alternator checked, it's fine.
Intoxalock customer service is honestly the worst I've ever encountered! I've had to call nearly a dozen times, and never, never do I wait less then 35 minutes for someone to answer. I have not had any luck getting answers, or help. They "look up my account" and tell me it should be working just fine. On one phone call I was I my car unable to start it, so no heat. I was transferred to FIVE different ppl during the 57 minute call. One was a lady from an insurance company! Each time I had to tell the situation over, and each person said they didn't know what was happening. I was in my car, no heat. It was 26 degrees, which is pretty warm for winter in Minnesota.
Prior to having it installed, I was asking the rep on the phone some questions. She told me I would have to carry special car insurance while I was using an interlock. This she said was a state requirement. It is not. I was also told that I would have to have the device in my car for a full 12 months. I stated that I would be using my bike, and walking when the weather warmed up. She told me that I could have the device removed (for a few) but that I would have to put it back in and complete a full 12 months before I could get my license reinstated. This is not true, and when I told her that, she disagreed. She was in CA reading this info on her computer she said. I did not continue the conversation. I called back a few days later, and talked to someone else. He told me the same thing, that I have to have the device in my car for full 12 months. If I didn't drive the car it didn't matter. He said "yes" that I still have to pay for it and have it in my car even if the car sits in the garage. I asked how a person would get their license reinstated if they didn't have a car for some time? He told me that they would have to buy the car, have the device installed for 12 months, and then apply for a license!
Unfortunately, I have no choice, as Intoxalock is the only state approved dealer within 50 miles of me. I refuse to sign a contract though. I'm not able to drive! The battery is drained over night!
I was expressing my frustration while in a meeting with my corrections officer. She called, it rains twice, and someone answered! He told me that the device has to be able to receive a signal from Verizon. So I may have to put it in neutral and push it out if my garage! How crazy is that! What if there are no Verizon towers around? Explains why the battery wears down, if it's always searching for a signal. I live in Minnesota, I want my car in the garage! Unacceptable!

Intoxalock ignition interlock

Don't go with intoxalock!

Since i've been with them the mn dmv has prolonged my ignition interlock over a year and a half.

There's a bunch of different companies besides intoxalock.

I've been with intoxalock for almost 3 years and have had nothing but problems.

Customer service is more than unhelpful, there is an unbearable wait time every time you call for assistance. To finally speak with someone who never knows anything. Even the mangers that are supposed to help you never get back with you.

They charge you for any mishaps that happen when their breathalyzer is hooked up in you car.

You can't get information one you intial first starts a month. There's no way to count them and they change your start and end dates periodically throughout your term with them.

This company has no morel's or ethics their out to get your money and get you to be on the program as long as they can.

I've never been dirty and have been sober for 3 years. All because they don't intial starts and not knowing how many I have a month.

I got the paperwork in the mail and Had the device installed. I then called Penndot to make sure I had all my required paper work to recoeve my IIL (ignition interlock license). Penn dot told me I was not even eligible for the IIL because they did not have my jail processing forms. I had my weekend at jail scheduled but then covid hit and they told me I couldn't report to the jail because of the shutdown.

Why would Intoxalock send me paperwork if I was not eligible for it? I'm paying for this damn thing and I haven't moved my car in almost 8 months. Its been the most agitating thing I've had to ever deal with?

Is there anything I can do about this? Does anybody think I should get a lawyer?

Intoxalock bad customer service

Customer service is horrible. Nobody is willing to help. Can't get straight answers. They take money directly out of your account with your consent. I have been trying to resolve a situation for two weeks and finally get a answer of the money was owed to us so we took it out your account and no refund. Writing a letter to headquarters and will never recommend intoxalock!

Intoxalock breathalyzer system for your vehicle for permission to drive after a dui

My Name is Dee Hill. I purchased an Intoxalock system from you on October 1, 2019. I was having a very difficult time with the courts in Lyndhurst, OH acquiring a system from someone other then the company they were forcing me to use. My conversation with the sales rep was, this court will not allow us to use anyone other than a company they partner with. Your sales rep said I will contact them and confirm because our system is State of Ohio certified and I will confirm would be ok. You contact me and you said "they said it would be ok". I asked if you were absolutely sure and you said "if I couldn't use your system you would refund my money". Not only did I have it installed and the court refused to give me my license to drive, you now say you don't have any conversation that you said that. We would never had the product installed without the guarantee through our conversation. It was installed for only 1 week and you made me pay a penalty for early termination. I am now out of over $450. for a system I could not use. Can you please provide with a transcript or a copy of the conversation for the purchase of this system. I would not have contacted 6 times if I know I was mistaken. Can you please contact me and help at [protected] or at [protected]@gmail.com

Intoxalock intoxalock

There is a 2 minute free restart, usually when you use it it makes you blow in to the Intoxalock anyway. You have to sit in your car for 2 minutes and wait for this 2 minute countdown to finish or the device may want you to blow again, $75 this will cost you.

Intoxalock will install the device and one week before your first calibration force you to sign a contract that you may not agree with. this contract is a scam. If you do not sign the contract you will be forced to change providers. This could cost over a thousand dollars, plus the hassle of dealing with the RMV.

The device is installed in an unprofessional way through the door jam, my weatherstriping definently will be ruined when this is all over.

People with DUI's have it hard enough, we really do not need to be taken advantage of in this way.

Intoxalock customer service is the worst

I do hope this is read by CEO Kimberly Williams!

My daughter has an intoxalock on her car. Because she is unable to drive it, court order, I am driving it. I took the car over because she was always close to a lock out because the battery wasnt charged enough due to the fact she couldnt drive it. One 1 day in May, we were charged for 4 lockouts due to the battery being dead and the car having to be jumped. On each lock out I had to call and of course wait on hold for 45 + minutes.
With each person I spoke to, never did they tell me that each time the car was jumped/locked out it was a $75.00 charge. Seriously! Why the F wouldn't the "
excellent" customer Service Rep tell me. On the last time the car was jumped i spoke with someone and she told me ... " Well you should have told someone that you were having trouble with the battery" Um... Hello! I did! and was then informed that I could have been in repair mode and not be charged. Seriously?

Now i have to get the car repaired because someone backed into me. No one in the state I am living in wants to blow in the device so I would have to get it disconnected. Of course intoxalock is not in this state so I would be required to drive 4+ hours to diconnect then back again to connect it. I was able to find a mobile company able to help, but of course Intoxalock said NOPE. Of course... It's money out of their pocket... and mine too because i would have to pay for both events.

It is mind boggling to me how rude y'all are on the phone. How judgemental y'all are. Yet when I read you web page it states that you "have been there" so you can relate to the situation.

Have you been there? I doubt it! Kimberly Williams, I sure do hope that you are reading all of these complaints because they are a huge representation of you and your work ethic.

There are other breathalyzer companies out there and you can bet your [censored] that I will be passing that information on to the DWI lawyers and Counties.

Oh and Kimberly, you should remind your excellent customer service team who pays their salaries... WE DO... THE POOR SCHELPS placed on hold forever and then treated rudely!

I'd fire my team if i ever read a complaint like this... clearly this is not the only one! Open your eyes Kim!

Intoxalock intoxalock device

I have had device for not even 2 weeks yet. Got locked out still trying to find out reason why after work yesterday at 5:00 p.m. San Francisco. I was left on hold for over an hour with no resolution all shops were closed by 6:00 p.m. I had a leave my car overnight and not the best area. Finally got ahold of someone today got hung up on 3 times, my imformation was verified so I'm not understanding why I was in called back. I can't even fathom a year of this. They have a lot to figure out especially in unsafe situations!

I had the same thing. 2 weeks in and start stopping working for no reason. Haven’t even used the car. On hold after some lady told me I locked myself out. Hold is now 45 min. Awful service
