Innovative Online Design website service

I signed up with innovative Online Designs and have had a complete different experience then everything stated on this board. I signed up to have a website created for me. They fulfilled the service I love my website. Sure I spent a good amount of money but I feel it was quality work and worth it. I wasn't promised anything that didn't get delivered. Most people on only complain when something doesn't work out. Any time I need help uploading products I call in and they assist me to do so, any time I have questions about marketing they provide feedback. I'm happy with my purchase and wanted to share my experience with innovative Online.

Innovative Online Design refund refusal for self taught online coursework

The following is what transpired with Innovative Online Design of Edmonds, WA

I went online on 6/13/18 to search for a simple work-at-home position.
My plan was to land a position that I could work while still running my part-time job as a Special Needs bus driver for the Minneapolis Metro area.

I did a search of "AARP approved Work-at-home" and the 1st thing that was listed was this opportunity. I decided to look into it, not knowing what it was all about. I spoke with a Kalin first. [protected]

He seemed to be the one to "feel me out" to decide if I was worthy enough to continue on as a candidate for the Corporation, saying that they do many phone interviews, accepting only choice people. After a series of questions, about goals, skills, available money (credit cards) etc., he conversed with some associates to see if I was "worthy". Kalin "congratulated" me that I passed and to expect a call next from Mr. Jay Fernandez [protected]. His job was to secure $$$ for online classes to learn their process. The position involved setting up numerous websites, which I knew nothing about. The job, in short, was to secure a online seller like Amazon, and be the middleman link to a purchaser who would click your advertisement that would in turn, forward them to the seller. So, each time your link was clicked, you made money into your setup bank account. Seemed interesting and easy but, it wasn't.
I was skeptical at first, but Jay's constant positive coaching to get me aboard was relentless. He made me feel that I was right for the job, and reminded me of the 1000's of people that they phone interview in a week's time and only choose a select few, ME being one of them. That made me feel good about myself. I was eager to learn but still not convinced, promising me how much money was involved.
He told me that there would be a fee of $6330 applied to the online self-help learning course.
I remembered being told that any work-at-home position should not have any initial expense whatsoever but, I was excited in making a lot of money.

After more coaxing by Jay, I somehow got the impression that their company must really be something to charge for a learning course, and that maybe the cost would equal the time and effort. I have always considered myself an easy target to be convinced of something and this was one of them, so I caved and felt somewhat coerced into the situation afterward. Furthermore, I was lead to believe that he said that I had up to 90 days to change my mind anyway, and get a full money back guaranteed. With that in mind, I felt I had nothing to lose. I had just finished completely paying off my credit cards too and only owed on a mortgage--a great feat for me. Back in debt again!

Not only was it time consuming but, it was totally self-taught course. So, I had to discipline myself to get studying and keep at it. I found that I was pretty bad at managing my time, especially since I was not happy about it and that I really wasn't remembering anything I had just learned.
It was starting to really stress me out. Since I already had enough stress in my life, this additional stress was overwhelming. After about two weeks, I eventually decided this was NOT FOR ME.

Next, I contacted my weekly coach and told him that I wanted to quit and that it was just too overwhelming for a 66 year old when all I wanted was a simple work-at-home job. He said he would tell his supervisor and that he would give me a call. I think it was Jay again but it is hard to remember since there was a lot of switching between people. I'm going to say Jay then informed me that there was NO refund. I reminded him of the 90 day grace period. But he said that I got that confused with the initial $97 which I incidentally, never got back either--NOT for the $6330--TOTAL RIPOFF!

THAT really infuriated me. I mean, any college, when dropping out, would refund the class, and that this shouldn't be any different, especially so soon. I mean, I didn't PICK this course--it was what they had to offer. Why should I be expected to finance a course that I had not intention of using? Even though I really gave it a lot of effort, it involved much more than I expected. After spending 2-3 weeks on trying to get on board and up to speed, it was just too much.

Even though all money transactions were contracted out by phone and accompanying emails, I feel that this procedure is unfair and considered a REAL SCAM on their part. How can you expect someone to complete a course that they knew nothing about, or what they were getting into and plan to secure money by contracting it out. Here I am, worried about my near financial future and they don't care about screwing me, just so they can get a commission. Two weeks of training is not worth the massive $6330 cost. I want ALL of that money returned!

(Below is contact information for me and Innovative Online design. I alerted the BBB and Innovative responded and refused a refund. I feel that contracts are meant to be broken especially since it is ridiculous for them to get away with making over $6K for 2-3 weeks of online training - it makes no sense and is quite unfair.)

Thank you for your cooperation,

Phil Chavie

I also was scamed by them. They did refund all but $2, 500 they put on a credit card they opened for me the every first day. They were very ughy to me when I saw this was not the job or people I wanted to work with. They told me they didn't care about me or my kids. He yelled at me, bullied me and hung up on me. Said he was going to get his attorneys to sue me for the whole amount $6, 330. Now he isn't taking my calls. This is a big scam. Stay away.
We all need to get together and file a class action suit against them. I got no training, no merchandise, nothing from them, just heart aches I want my money back and shoud get it now. This has been going no to long.
