IKEA order was confirmed not supplied, payment was collected

In recent 6 months I have three bad experiences where payment was collected by IKEA when order was placed online. Order was also confirmed but not supplied.

I think ikea has find this new way of financing, interest free financing.

Shame on IKEA, big names Zero service.

Even no response from customer service number even waited for 15 to 20 minutes

IKEA Kitchen installation/quality

We have used Ikea services in Switzerland and United States. Sadly, the service level received in Portugal provides no comparison in quality of service or workmanship.
The kitchen fitted in our home has the following problems still in existence - the service personnel will be coming on 27/08/19 to rectify the following :
The refrigerator and stove have been fitted but the electric plugs not connected
The baseboards were not fitted
The evacuation hood over the hot plates is very, very badly finished around the edges
At the back of the working surface there is a space where normally a moulding is fitted
Inside the freezer compartment the insulating sealer is falling off
We can hardly believe that a company of your reputation can deliver such poor quality. We cannot accept this level of service. We are disgusted and will have no hesitation in taking the opportunity to make sure that other would-be customers do not have to suffer such poor workmanship. This can only be summed up as a total disgrace.

IKEA order no [protected] - case no [protected] - delivery not received

The above order was placed at Ikea Malaga on Monday 12 August and delivery was promised Tuesday 13 August 1700-2100 hrs with an arrangement for the driver to call us so that we could meet and lead him to our house in the countryside. This did not happen nor did we receive any call to explain why. On phoning customer services 900 400 922 no explanation was given only an alternative delivery date of Friday 16 August 900-1300 hrs. We also emailed. Again this did not happen, no communication was made with us. Again we called customer services the only option being given to us was a third delivery date of Tuesday 20 August 0900-1300.

At that point we sent an email via the website complaining at the appalling lack of customer service from Ikea and pointing out non compliance with your contract to deliver the goods to us as per their Terms and Conditions, Ikea´s Obligations, item 1 plus a demand for refund of the delivery charge. This resulted in a poor attempt to call us at 2159 on Saturday 17 August, three rings with no time to get to the phone. A subsequent email was received requesting us to call customer services yet again for a "solution" to this ongoing problem which we have done today Sunday 18 August at 0956 speaking to Sergio. He informed us that the delivery charge which we had paid could not be refunded in spite of the disgusting handling of our order therefore no "solution" to the problem other than a promise for delivery on Tuesday 20 August.

We demand an assurance that our goods will be delivered on Tuesday 20 August but have little faith in this happening. It appears impossible to speak to anyone in the management structure of Ikea.

Relevant documents are attached but previous emails sent via Ikea´s website are not available to copy.

An immediate response and solution is requested.

IKEA payment not received

I ordered a new couch a month in advance before moving into my new apartment and my roommate sold her old couch in anticipation. However, the day it was supposed to be delivered it was not. I called customer service to inquire and they informed me my payment was never received so they cancelled the order. I AM NOT mad my payment wasn't received. However, I am mad that they cancelled the order and did not inform me and left me expecting a couch. As a college student, an ikea couch is a MAJOR investment and this experience has been horrible.

IKEA below par ikea usa (laurel, md) services

We ordered furniture -about 39 pieces, from the Laurel Maryland Store.

In summary:

1. The order was placed incorrectly by the store agent - in retrospect we notices that the store agent was overwhelmed, so many customers, very few staff
2. Only 38 out of 39 pieces showed up - so they delivered 1 piece short. We had to go back to the Laurel store to re-oder
3. The delivery company refused to move the furniture into the appropriate rooms - Ikea at the time of order said that since we are purchasing furniture for the entire house, the delivery company (one they recommended, and we paid for) will move the boxes into the appropriate bedrooms, living room etc - the delivery people refused to do so.
4. Today we find when TaskRabbit (the company Ikea recommended will help us put the furniture together) came into put the prices together that the wrong bed slats were sent - now we will have to go back again to Laurel
5. What makes this experience very unpleasant is that the customer service line never answers the phone - even the in-store manager said they know it is a problem, but they have not been able to resolve.

We thought buying furniture from Ikea would make our lives easier, however we are now very disappointed - we will have made 4 separate trips to Ikea to sort out these issues (as the customer services line never picks up.).

Chances that we will purchase from Ikea in the future will be very low.

IKEA did not receive hardware or all pieces ordered

Order #[protected], delivery date 8-4-19
First, the delivery date was changed 3 times. I missed 2 days of work because of this. When the order was finally delivered I did not get any hardware and was missing the observator cross bar that was ordered as well. The order was not in a box, each individual piece was handed to me at the time of the delivery and the driver had no idea why it was like this. Since this date, 8-4-19, I have been trying to call to get the order complete and have what is missing sent to me. I have done everything that I was told to do, being send an email and you will response within 72 hrs, this did not happen. I have been trying to call and have never been able to get to "after sales" which is who everyone tells me I have to talk to. I asked to speak to a Manager or Supervisor and was told there weren't any there. I've been on hold for over an hour and no one ever came back to the line. I've called over 50 times as I was told there is nothing anyone can do to help me and all I can do is keep trying to call back. Today is 8-11-19 and once again tried to call first thing at 9 when you open and got the we are experiencing high call volumes and cannot take your call at this time message. The shipping prices are terrible as well. I had to have it shipped to my sister's so I could save on shipping and then for a $5 piece that is missing along with screws I have to deal with this. It is totally not worth it. I'm done trying to call this company. I want the missing parts sent to me and I want a refund. I have gone above and beyond what a customer should do to get things completed on an order that was screwed up by the company, a company whose customer support is terrible and appears they do not care about their customers at all. IKEA delay delivery

I have placed an order online on 8/1/2019, and it was estimate to be delivered by 8/3/2019 9am - 9pm. So I stayed home all day that day to wait for my delivery. But it never came. I called customer service the next day, I got through the line quickly and asked the agent to schedule another date for the delivery, but i was put on hold for around 30mins because the agent need to communicate with the delivery company. After that, the agent told me they can deliver it on 8/8/2019. So I took a day off from work on that day to wait for my delivery. Then it was late afternoon, and I didn't get any calls or message on my phone. So I decided to call Ikea customer service, and they transfer me back and forth only to found out that the delivery was delayed again and there was no further date they could tell me to expect my delivery.

I called the next day and every time when the agent trying to transfer me I get disconnected after it was asking to give Ikea feedback through the automated system. It was the 4th time that I was able to reach to a nicer agent that was willing to help me. And I was trying to cancel my order at that point but only to found out that the order cannot be canceled now since is already out the door. I asked when can I expect my delivery, the agent told me it could be the next day, or it could be several days, but he wasn't sure the exact date.

So now, I don't know what the next step should be. I already lose some time from work having my delivery delayed couple of times. I couldn't track my order, and there's no way to find out where is my order now. Please help if there is someone out there.

IKEA delivery, assembly, design, customer relations simply everything about service

Dear Customer Service of #Ikea Hungary,
You asked me what the problem was on the online form. Be prepared that is going to be hard. I guess this level of complexity being not really high, it will still be beyond the contemplation on #Ikea Hungary side. I hardly doubt, there would be even one person to understand and care for this letter in #Ikea Hungary, but I keep my hopes up for someone in the Global HQ would pick this up.
It includes incompetency, lack of respect and proper seriousness. I bought 2 mil HUf worth of material from you on 18.07.2019. The delivery happened on 21.07.2019. They just left the material in the ground floor and did not carry to specific rooms. I had to sort out the 370 boxes amounting up to 1800 kg myself, just to find out that there were missing articles. So Next day I went to #Budaörs store, explained the situation and got the missing parts.
I had to wait until 06.08.2019 for the assembly team to barge in. It was just 2 people for 370 boxes. I was lucky they were nice decent people and they did their best to finish the job, but they could not. Guess why ? Because there were missing parts to finish the assembly and there were excessive parts. So it turns out that either the design was wrong in the beginning, or the assembly guys did assembly wrong. Of course, it was my burden to explore this. So I went to #Budaörs shop again for the 3rd time. Without any proper explanation, I was told that I needed to buy some additional stuff to complete the assembly and #Ikea would pay for delivery & maintenance. They were so gracious!
So I bought them and guess what I was appointed 09.08.2019 for delivery and 15.08.2019 for assembly. Basically for a purchase which happened in 18.07.2019, it will be one month and God knows if you can handle proper implementation by then. Today is 09.08.2019 and I started writing this complaint on the online form exactly at 19:30. You know why ? Because I waited in the house from 15:00 to 19:00 as it is written in the paper for home delivery. Guess what ? Nobody came. Of because all of #Ikea clients are supposed to sit at home and wait for delivery that never comes. You think this will happen like that. No way Hose! I will take this to the top level possible. I will even write to #CEO of #Ikea if necessary until the responsible people for this circus show learn a lesson or two for their incompetency and this will not happen to someone again.
The garbage pile of torn boxes is still sitting on my garden. You were supposed to pick that up, but that did not happen also. I called your call center today, they said they were going to call me back and of course they did not! I have stated this on 07.08.2019 with Customer Service face to face also.
I have no hope that you can actually get any thing properly done in your operation. You are an embarrassment to #Ikea #Worldwide. With this level of service quality and lack of proper business execution, #Ikea should shut your complete operation for it would render #Ikea brand value hazardously.

IKEA cannot contact customer service do not accept calls

I received a songesand wardrobe this morning and the right hand panel is damaged nearly broken into two pieces. Despite numerous attempts to contact customer service the phone lines are not taking calls due to heavy volume. I then tried to email ikea but the form makes no sense for me to explain the problem. Where do I go from here? This is really frustrating to have parts lying about the house waiting for assembly because of your delivery companies negligence. I am very upset with ikea who cannot package a flat piece of furniture without damage.

On 8/12/19 they're still not answering at [protected]. I submitted my complaint to bbb.com and contacted my bank to refute the transaction on my credit card. IKEA owes me a full refund after 2 failed delivery attempts: damaged item the first time, no item on the truck the 2nd time. Unbelieveably bad logistics and communications,

IKEA offering a discount and not applying on the purchase

Placed an order online on 7/20 was offering to apply for a ikea credit card with 25dollars off my purchase didn't get my $25off as soon as I doble checked that wasn't there I calld customer service to get it resolved 9am to 10pm I ddnt get through until after 5 days finally today I got through and the person who answered was not able to resolved it.

IKEA customer service

IKEA unilaterally reduce my order of dining room chairs, leaving me 4 chairs short and sent a refund via a gift card. After three weeks this card has still not arrived. It is proving impossible to speak to somebody as their customer care lines are always busy and their system hangs up on me without letting me know how long I would have to await or giving me the option to wait. The email system is very ridged and does not allow the option to register a customer service complaint nor enquire about a refund.

I am still waiting for a refund and I am unable to speak to somebody. As I do not live near a store, the purchase was made while on vacation, I am not able to talk to somebody instore. This is proving to be very frustrating.

IKEA to ulrika biesert: people & culture manager

Dear Ulrika Biesert,

I always wonder how IKEA manages to implement this great employee culture full of openness, easiness and professional behavior expanding all over the world.

We just moved over to Palo Alto in the US and it was more than surprising how different the people's perception appeared to me. Hopefully just exceptional cases to us, however those employees I had conflicts with excused/ blamed their mess due to "the IKEA processes", which I think is very sad.

If possible, I would be happy to explain my little case to someone in the local management in Palo Alto and hope that I can contribute to some improvement. The manager in charge I talked to today was not even willing to listen.

IKEA canape convertible ikea missing items

I made an order in the sum of 2440, 29 under order [protected]. I was missing the cushions for the Sandbacken couch. I informed Ikea of this several times.

Not only did they ask me if I counted the boxes received and I had to inform them that logically I do not have x-ray vision and am unable to see through cardboard, they made a replacement order under ref [protected] that they CHARGED me again for.

The replacement order never arrived. I wasted a day waiting for the transporter to deliver the goods . I was told by the unhelpful and haughty representative to call on Monday .

So, I call on Monday. 3 HOURS on hold where the line cut repeatedly, the reps hung up when stating they would transfer. Apoplectic when I got through to a rep, I was told that I had to call again Thursday . No solutions offered, Refusal to transfer to a supervisor and when I stated in English that it was [censored]ing [censored], the rep hung up .

I have been following this up via email and have been LIED to. The idiot rep didn't even investigate, just provided an old tracking number linked to the original order and said it had been delivered.

I did my own investigative work and found the transport company number. I called them and they confirmed that it had not been delivered and to call Ikea again. So I have and was again hung up on when the agent was "looking into my dossier". Now, I am STILL waiting on hold - over an hour now after I had to call back TWICE.

I have already submitted a complaint to EU online dispute regarding this matter as they have charged TWICE for undelivered goods and seem hellbent on committing active fraud by not delivering goods that have been paid for.

I will be making formal complaints to both Leiden HQ and French HQ regarding the awful and obstructive customer service . If my goods are not delivered this week I will be persuing this in Justice.

Avoid IKEA online sales. I am thoroughly disgusted with the service and idiots they hire who are incapable of doing more than reading from a script and following a flow chart.

IKEA product delivery

I have ordered few items to be delivered from North York centre Toronto on 29th June 2019. My order number - [protected]. It was scheduled for delivery on 4th July 2019. They came till my building while I was clarifying parking rules with my building manager they left without informing. After complaining to customer care it has been rescheduled for 7th July 2019. But this time they dint came at all. Neither they called about not able to deliver. I called 4 times customer care every time they said, it enroute will be delivered in next hour or so. Absolutely unprofessional behaviour from esteemed brand like IKEA. I am truly disappointed and thinking about cancelling the order and suing them to make sleep on floor.

IKEA ektorp replacement covers

I have been a customer for more than 30 years...in all that time I have always gone to the local store to search for covers.. Over the years I have had, the dark blue "flowers/vines, " blue stripe, pink, white, sand, and the latest is faint ice blue.

Nothing is available anymore except the hideous (My opinion)brown floral. I thought the yellow plaid was horrible but, this one could top that.

Please make other colors...I truly think if you offered other fabrics, plus maybe for an additional charge, "customized" it would be an excellent decision. I encourage people all the time to shop at IKEA, but where I live presently, your color choices don't do well at all. Bring back or add additional fabrics, please. It will be such an inconvenience to try and find another company to buy from,

IKEA delivery

I ordered a couch and wardrobe via ikea Turkey online web site on 16th May 2019 however i could not recieved the items yet.I called call center on 22thMay; Still no return.
I checked that my delivery is on carrier dock since 18 may and hold as out of distribution territory.I can not reach carrier via phone and either ikea inform me when i can have my goods or return back my money.by the way i searched and saw that there are alot of people in Tukey with same problem with me who had shopping from ikea internet .It is pitty and fact that Ikea Turkey ignores customer satisfaction about the services.Goods and designs are welcome but services are also a important criteria to choose a brand again or sustain a client continuity.

IKEA granite splash backs for my new kitchen

We ordered our kitchen last year from IKEA it was fitted in August. A week later they came to measure up for our granite splash backs, I had to go to the shop 3 times to discuss this as the measurement report had not been available for the time of my first appointment. Eventually it was sorted out and it was ordered and we paid €1.644, 11 on 14th September 2018. Since then we have had 7 different delivery dates. The first 4 dates we waited and there was not delivery, no phone call, email or explanation. Each time I had to drive over half and hour to get to IKEA and visit customer service as trying to get through on the phone is almost impossible. On the 5th time we had the delivery but it was then incorrectly cut and did not fit. Fitters remeasured and said they would inform IKEA who would collect the incorrectly cut delivery. After 3 more weeks we had heard nothing so I drove back again and it was re-ordered again and we were given a voucher for 49.99 as a gift (which was the price of the delivery). Again we waited and heard nothing for 3 weeks and then 3 weeks ago we were told it would be delivered tomorrow 10th April 2019 and B&B fitters emailed us to say they were fitting a week later. Yesterday my husband received a telephone call saying delivery was cancelled (no explanation again) and a new delivery date of May 2nd has been given to us . This is totally and utterly outrageous and incompetent. It will be almost a year since we ordered the kitchen and months and months of waiting for our splash backs. All this time the back of our granite worktops are not sealed so water can easily get down the back of the cupboards which can be ruining my lovely new kitchen units. I look forward to a quick response.

IKEA a kitchen

Dear Ikea, I recently spent a lot of money in Ikea Moscow for the design and supply of a kitchen.
Initially there was an internal cupboard missing, and Ikea russia said that I hadn't paid for the cupboard but they designed and supplied everything to what was agreed. Internal fittings I know nothing about and this was clearly an Ikea mistake.
But as always in russia, customer service does not exist.
Secondly, now the kitchen is installed the upper units are shorter than the lower ones by around 15cm and this is obvious and looks awful. Again, Ikea russia not interested at all, it is my fault and I need to pay even though I sat down in there, everything was designed and agreed before I paid for it.
Ikea is a great brand, but it is being destroyed by zero customer service in moscow.
I can't do anything when they refuse to even discuss my concern so I desperately am reaching out here to try and get some level of service and responsiblity.
Have I got a chance?

IKEA delivery

My partner and I ordered a Malm bed from IKEA on the 15th of March 2019, we paid 600SEK for delivery, and it was due to be delivered on 19th of March 2019 between 0800 and 2200.

The deliver arrived late that evening, at 2245, we were tired and it looked like everything had been delivered.

We went to bed, and after work on the 20th of March 2019, we started making our new bed. Once we got to the final stages of the build, we noticed the mid beam was not packaged with the bed. We double checked the order to make sure we hadn't forgot to order it but it was clearly listed.

So we were stuck with a half assembled bed in our bedroom, which made it quite difficult to find somewhere to sleep for the night.

We called IKEA customer service the morning after, and explained what had happened, hoping they would be able to at the very least, send us an expedited delivery of the replacement so that we wouldn't have to spend the weekend sleeping on a mattress on the floor, and if not that offer some compensation so we could make arrangements to get to IKEA and get a replacement ourselves.

Unfortunately we were told all they can do is send us a new one in the post, and it would likely arrive on the 25th of March 2019.

The customer service agent who spoke to my partner made no effort to resolve the issue further than this, its simply not acceptable customer service.

IKEA gunnern bathroom cabinet

Bought the Gunnern Bathroom cabinet in November 2017, by October 2017 the cabinet started to show patches of rust which are now spreading. The item doesn't get wet as it's not close to the shower, and the toilet dries up fast. Very disappointing that a steel product lasted less than a year. I hope Ikea will replace this item as it is clearly a defect.
