IHOP service

Went to ihop Saturday 7/28/2018at approx 8pm we had to yell to girl to get our attention that we were waiting to be seated she told the other girl and she seated us got us drinks and then went to back of restaurant and sat down she came back and took our order then went and sat down again she never came back to see if we needed anymore to drink a guy with red shirt on and back pack came in and sat out back with our server we sat there for about 10-15 minutes and did not get our food the guy with red shirt got up went to kitchen and came out with burger plate we thought it was our food he carried it out back of restaurant and put on table and sat down
About that time my husband and I got up and said how much do we owe you for drinks the guy in red shirt got up went to kitchen looked in the door and said just wait a minute my husband said no we waited to long for two burger plates we don't think anybody made our food because there was a guy in black shirt that looked like the cook out back talking to the server and guy with red shirt
We would have understood the wait if they were busy but there was only two other people at a table
There was only lady with black and white shirt on talking to the server and guy with red shirt
Now we know why they had no customers because they don't care
They need to let those employees go and get some managers in there that know how to run the restaurant because this location is going downhill
I will be posting on social media about the service at this location and will not go back there
This is not the first time there that I had bad service went there one night when server was cooking because the cook did not come in and they said 45 minute wait
I have been in food service for 20 years and all this is doing is hurting the brand name

IHOP food/service

I am speaking of the IHOP at Medicine Hat Mall in
Medicine Hat Alberta, Canada. I could not find a Canadian
site for IHOP and no way to contact the local store except
by telephone, which I tried and was left more frustrated
than before I called. I was contacted and told that I won a
$50 gift certificate by having my name drawn from the
promotion that IHOP was running to introduce their
burgers. My wife and I went in today during lunch and
much to my surprise they acted as if I had asked for
something from them but finally agreed that I did win the
contest after searching for the entry. Our server kept
smiling and saying she understood us but if so then she
chose to ignore us never bothering to check on anything
or even coming back to the table, because if she had she
should have been curious as to why most of the food was
not eaten. I would have explained to her that it was cold
undercooked and ice crystals in what was supposed to be
hash browns. I would have refused to pay for it and if
anyone had bothered to ask I would have been happy to
explain it to them. I did call the IHOP in Medicine Hat
tonight and after speaking with a gentleman who identified
himself as the manager I was told it wasn't his shift or one
of his servers but he would pass the word along...have a
good day! Really...I thought the whole idea of having a
contest was to generate loyal customers etc. Apparently
not! I will be happy to discuss this with anyone who
wishes to contact me. Perhaps they should take a lesson
from the Montana's Restaurant next door that went under
because of bad management. I will await your reply before
updating my Google reviews for my many readers...

IHOP safety

I was in IHOP in Newark New Jersey at 109 Bergen street when I heard employees arguing. I heard the male Robert calling the female [censored]es and he threatened to have someone beat her up. I heard the lady, a dark skin woman tell the man that he was overreacting and all she wanted was for him to remove his phone from the counter. I was confused because a little while later the woman left but I never saw the man Robert leave... how was that fair? That man threatened her... I felt upset as a woman. I felt that if this is the sexiest, disrespectful franchise then I absolutely do not support this. I left my meal and left the restaurant concerned about the woman.

IHOP restaurant atmosphere

My husband and I went to IHOP this morning July 28th 2018 it was 86 degrees outside felt like 86 degrees inside the air conditioner was not on the food was hot the coffee was hot and the customers were hot. We asked a waiter why was it so hot in there he said he was talk to his manager we felt a little bit of air but it disappeared as fast as it came on it was too hot to sit inside of a building eating your breakfast and sweating. We also heard other customers complaining about the heat. Well we realize that there was air conditioner in the building it just was not being utilize my husband and I usually go somewhere else for breakfast but chose to go to IHOP because they had a specialty that we wanted to have for breakfast we paid more then we usually pay and we feel as though we got less it was very difficult to eat while sweating sitting inside.

IHOP the whole experience

We were on vacation in Gulfport Mississippi July 8, 2018. When we arrived at he Ihop on highway 49, they told us a 15 minute wait, which is fine, (We had a party of 5) but then they completely skipped us and sat other parties of 5 after us. When I asked, the manager said oh its all my fault I forgot about you. Really? We were the only ones left in the lobby! Finally seated us after an hour. Sat is next to the kitchen and the next thing you know a couple servers started a very loud verbal fight. One of them was our server. Finally she came to take our order. Acted like she didn't have any idea what she was doing. Brought our food one plate at a time, no silverware, first plate was completely done before any of us had our food brought. She never came back to check or refill coffee. I look up and she's outside? Never brought our bill. And to be honest we could have just walked out and no one would have noticed. Finally manager came and asked us how many in our party? Really? I told him we had already eaten and he asked me for our bill. Said don't have one, haven't seen our server since she brought our food one plate at a time. He was like well where did she go? I said I seen her outside. No one could find her. Funny part was he new exactly where we were seated. Brought up our bill and said it will be this much. I asked him even after the complaints you are charging me full price? He said I will take 10% off. Really? Then had the nerve to ask me about a tip! No tip. The server showed up about the time I said no tip and gave me the meanest look. I have been in the restaurant business for 30 years and believe me if I had ran my place the way this manager ran this one - I would have been out of a job asap. I mentioned that there needs to be a training with his employees and he said - yeah what ever - Really! He said he has been there for 3 months. Told him how horrible the service was and the fight behind the line. All he said was "yes". So I guess that he really could have cared less. My suggestion to you as corporate is to send a secret customer into this place. If I would have thought about it I would have told him that I was a corporate person just to see his reaction. I will never go to IHop again and will definitely discourage everyone I know to do the same.

IHOP food and customer service

We stopped at the IHOP restaurant in Norfolk Nebraska about 7 an today on our way home from indiana the employee who took my order was extremely rude then about 20 minutes later they bring out ove cold pancakes for all three kids and burnt hashbrowns for me I tried to tell them and was completely blown off never expected such disrespect we love ihop extremely disappointed

IHOP restaurant management and cleanliness

My name is Philip Singletary. My wife Kayla recently worked for IHOP in Valdosta Ga. The manager, Scott treated his staff like garbage I witnessed several occasions where he was yelling at staff in front of customers, and there was several times he yelled at my wife using profanity and being extremely unprofessional. Also while my wife worked there she noticed not only bugs in the food but also bugs or cockroaches crawling throughout the restaurant. They were preparing pancake batter on the floor. Most nights the was no manager after 6pm until 4am. Servers were forced to cook because there were no cooks on night shift. Scott was also making servers claim more tips than what they were making. At the time we didn't bring it up for fear that my wife would be fired but now that she no longer works there we feel it is very important that this stuff be known and looked into. Thank you for your time.

IHOP service

On 7-22-18 at 9:35 am we were seated at IHOP located at 9700 State route 14 Streetsboro Ohio 44241. Our server addressed us and took our drink orders. We were a party of 3. The restaurant was busy, but still many open tables. He took over 20 minutes to bring us 2 waters and a coffee. We asked to order since we were waiting awhile and he said "oh I have to go get something and then I will take your order." Order was finally placed a few minutes before 10 am. By 10:40 am we were wondering where our food was because people seated after us with a different server were eating and almost done. I asked for the manager and explained my concern. She seemed very frazzled and just said "oh ok" At this point we decided to leave. As we are getting up the server comes over to state the kitchen is behind. I again addressed the manager and said that people seated well after us were eating so it doesn't appear it was a kitchen issue. She offered no apologies and continued to act frazzled. I said this is an issue with your staff and now you're losing business. Her response "I'm looking into it" As we were leaving we walked out with a party of 3 that was seated at the same time we were just in different sections and they had already eaten and were leaving. Poor customer service and the manager didn't seem to care one bit.

IHOP air conditioner not working in restaurant and waiting 45 minutes to an hour for food.

Air conditioner was not working in restaurant. We were sweating while waiting for our food. The wait was 45 minutes to an hour long waiting for food. By the way, we were the only customers in the restaurant. After waiting, waitress then tells me they were out of crepes. I had to get stuck eating pancakes. Also, 2 of our party ordered hamburgers which came out cold. We complained to manager, but she would not give us a discount. Very unpleasant dinner, and we went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday.

IHOP service

I visited your location at 1400 Mercantile Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107, on July 18, 2018, at approximately 6:30 p.m., with my granddaughters. There were two people working, neither of whom I got their name. When the server finally came around she literally asked us "what do you want to drink?" When she brought our drinks, she set them all together on the table and did not distribute them. She never asked if we wanted something for my two year old great granddaughter to drink. Then she asked us "what do you want to eat?" Really, is that how you ask customers if you "may help them?" Anyway, we ordered. She had a table of friends and/or family members eating because she spent most of her time at their table just talking to them, while customers were having to get up to ask about where their food was, or to ask for the check. I finally saw our food placed under the warming lamps, but still after about 20 minutes she hadn't delivered our food, so I went to the cook who was now at the register, and asked if that was our food. She said yes and the server proceeded to deliver our "old" food. I told them the strawberry pancakes were not acceptable because they had turned red and soggy from sitting there so long. The server then asks me "did I already give you a receipt?" She meant the check, not a receipt. I said no. Still, waited about 15 minutes for the check. Nothing. Her family and/or friends were then leaving so she was at their table hugging them and saying "bye"...I walked past them as I was going to the ladies room and again asked her for the check. By this time we had been there an hour and a half. Still nothing, so I got up and went back to where she and the cook kept arguing because the server obviously didn't know what she was doing, or didn't care, or both. Neither of them could figure out my check and finally they asked me where we were sitting. I pointed to the table. I asked them if they were seriously charging the customers with the horrible service and food they were providing. The cook (an older female with a ponytail and a tattoo across her chest) apologized. After a few attempts they said it appeared as though my check had been paid. It had not been paid. Finally the cook apologized again and said not to worry about it and didn't charge us. It was THE worst experience I've EVER had at a food establishment. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I would highly encourage you to provide some customer training and overall training on order taking, computer entry of the orders, etc. This server had the worst attitude, was not friendly or helpful and she literally was slamming things down on the table when she would deliver something. She clearly did not want to be there, and after the experience I had, I never want to be there again.

IHOP server and managers

During my visit to your location during 60 anniversary the services was horrible the servers Traven and manager tanisha the servers forgot about us he took about 20 mins to bring syrup and hot sauce as well as my burger being under cooked when asked if it could be well done he replied that the next time you have to say it because it comes med not a sorry but for future I felt as a customer I should of been given that instead a drink for my daughter he took over 3 times to remember to actually bring it to table a other server was graceful and even argued with him about getting us a drink I just felt that it wasn't appropriate for this service as I spent money in the business and do appreciate the food when its given with care thank you Flore Dorcil [protected]

my wife and ii ate breakfast at the hamden ct store located on Dixwell ave. service was well . My wife and I are black american, myself with a bald head, my wife with short curly brown hair. Later that afternoon i decided to eat the rest of my food. Upon completion, I notice several strands of long straight hair in the bottom of the container. I call my wife being that i was at work and ask her to call the Hamden IHOP to inform them . Later on they day my wife called me and explained the the manager was very rude and made it sound as if we placed the hair in the box. Also asking her what does she want "Them to do". Yesterday July 19, I stopped in the Hamden IHop to see if i could speak with the manager of that day who spoke with my wife. "Deneda" if im correct was the store managers name ( the same Black woman) whom spoke with my wife. Again, she was very unprofessional, rude and very indignant to me as a customer and a 10 year veteran of the military. It just so happened that the stores general manager " Jose Gomez" was dinning there on his off day. He stood there and did not intervene once, he said nothing and did nothing. I asked to him what was his thoughts on the problem, as I was only looking for a "we are sorry", the customer is always right, thank you for bringing it to our attention or something to fix the issue. But instead, my wife and I were made to feel as if we were criminals looking for a free meal. if this is the New IHOP beleive me, my family and I want no parts of it.

IHOP service

I arrive at store #480 st approximately 10:30pm only to not only be neglected and ungreeted until I asked what was going on. but once someone did speak to us she told us that although the restaurant was empty we would have to wait anywhere from 30 to 45mins. To follow, we sat and watched one employee after another walk out the door ending their shift in total disregard for my family. We were finally addressed by Ricky Forrest who arrived and was pleasant from the time he walked through the door. We finally are sitting at a table now... By the way its 11:21pm. We came here for a pre-bday celebration dinner needless to say it's been ruined... As I sat there for just shy of an hour waiting to eat I couldn't help but continually reading the sign "Smiles Guaranteed" really? Where's my smile?!?

IHOP ihop store 2064

Good evening I went into your location today.and my server Traven was honestly the worse. We ordered burgers the food came back bloody we asked for syrupy it took him 25 mins to bring that as well as hot sauce after we asked 2 other servers non was available to help us then we asked for a drink the young lady helped us to where they was arguing because of helping us asked to speak to manager she walked in and didnt even ask what was the problem Tanisha was her name I just felt like I never had this issue with them before and I didnt feel like I should ever go back to this store thank you please feel free to contact me at [protected]

IHOP unable to order online

The have the worst online ordering system. I'm unable to use a credit card, only gift cards! I'm unable to order over the phone, only online or come in and order. How is this convenient? I don't have 20 minutes to sit in the restaurant for my food to get ready, if I did I would be eating there instead!

I've tried to address this multiple times with the servers/manager, yet they just seem to tune me out and say it's policy. There was a stretch of 5 days where the online service did not work for my local location, I called them and let them know that I'm unable to even order can they make an exception, "NOPE, not our policy!". There comes a point in customer service where sometimes you gotta take care of your clients, especially when it's the companies systems that are causing the issue. There was no issue on my part, this is a down system on IHOPS end yet they can't accommodate their clients when they messed something up.

I've been eating at this location for over 20 years! Unfortunately this appears to be my last. I loved your pancakes, but will not put up with these non customer oriented business practices.

IHOP kids eat free

Store # 3506. We had seven people at our table, three adults and four children. We were denied the kids eat free because they did not eat from the kids menu. This is not the first time this has happened. Even when our kids have eaten from the kids menu, they would only hibe us two kids meals for free. Even when we have ordered four adult meals we are still only given two kids eat free discounts.

IHOP management

I am a fellow employee of the local ihop of my general area, and I have been working here for 6 months. I work all different kinds of shifts, with each manager. Recently, I have been experiencing some unkindness and unfairness directed from the regular night manager, Sooren. He has threatened to fire me, threatened to "get rid of me for good" for silly reasons such as stating the regulations I told him I was given from our General Manager, from a previous complaint made. He speaks down on me, is rude in ways that consist of calling me "the rudest person on the planet", unfair in ways of not letting me stop for just a couple of seconds to take a drink of water. I have spoken to my GM multiple times of suchsituations, and he has told me to deal with it.

IHOP poor staff

Wait 15 minutes to get a table. Get waited on finally only to watch the table who ordered after get their food then get my husband's, except his fruit, and some hash browns and gravy for me then they bring my corrected order and still no fruit. Then a manager asks if everything is okay and we start to complain and he asks us to leave. Not to mention I had to ask for more tea. Rude, incredibly slow, incompetent and not efficient. We will not be visiting another IHOP

IHOP Service

The service was very horrible. I literally waited 45-1 hour with a party of four and a toddler on a Saturday. They were not busy at all, our server spilled all the drinks. Then we had to wait extra time to get our drinks. Then we had to wait additional time to wait for our food. The manager obviously did not care about the customers. Yes she compted my meal. But my ticket I got was 43 dollars for two people. There is no way it's that much for two people. The server obviously charged me for everyone's meals and she then discounted my ticket to 25 dollars. When originally it should have been 25 dollars and whatever discount she was going to get. I'm very upset and will not be going back to IHOP. After this experience very awful and I don't see why this IHOP location is still open. The address is5920 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, TX 78238, United States. They obviously do not care about there customers.

IHOP a employee

Hello I went to ihop on 7990 Miramar Parkway. I will Never be going back. First off me and my sister WAITED a whole hour to receive our food. Second when we receive our order we had our request of onions that were missing. We told the waitress and she nicely remove about 5 dollars from ours order. As we are leaving the server by the name of SUZIE was so disrespectful! We where asking her can she give us change since the waitress we had was busy to tip her. She got loud with my sister and told her she is not her waitress and walk away. Your workers need to be taught more about CUSTOMER SERVIVE.

IHOP servive

Im a truck Driver and after a long day of work I decided to stop by the ihop on Midland Tx with my family, we got there and right away the servive was bad, we order our drinks and we never got refills. We order our food and 25 min later the waitress came out saying they didnt have what i ask for. Why didnt she tell me that as soon as I order. When i was ready to reorder she never came to ask if i was ready and she never got us refils.. this is the first time i experiense super bad service at ihop. Me and my family decided to leave some where else. And to top it of she charge me 7$ for our drinks..
