IHOP service

What happened to this restaurant?
This was a new build for IHOP!
It would appear that they have let the management that cares go and replaced with a staff that does not care.
Everyone at this address appeared to have the attitude of "It is Sunday we do not have to try, people will come.
There was a long wait after we were seated until our server took out drink order.
Even longer, between drinks and actually ordering.
We asked for Tabasco sauce. I have attached a picture of what was brought to our table. No cap and dispensing cap was filthy.
IHOP needs to send a team in to rescue this location.

IHOP food safety

To Whom It May Concern:

Good day!

I'm a food lover, a regular & avid customer of Al Shaya chain of restaurants in Jeddah Saudi Arabia.

I've been in IHOP Sary Gate branch early afternoon this day, February 13, 2020. I just want to raise some concerns regarding what I observed which I believe is against the standard of food safety & customer service in any food businesses. The following issues were noted during my visit:

1) Lack of food server — There were only 2 waiters available to attend the needs of both the singles & family sections which are almost full at the time of visit. This creates confusion on the part of the food server which will compromise customer satisfaction.

2) Lack of store cleaners — The food server is also the one cleaning the area (e.g. mopping the floors & cleaning the comfort room). This practice might cause food contamination as the food servers are distributing the food & cleaning the area at the same time.

The store manager as if is not doing anything to correct/fix the issues.

I have no complaints whatsoever on food servers in IHOP Sary branch as they delivered exemplary performance. However, I just can't help but compare this store to the other Al Shaya restaurants like the Texas Roadhouse & Cheesecake Factory which are superb in their work practices (enough staff to meet the needs of the guest) and Infection Control (separate work functions of food servers & store cleaners).

I hope that you'll address the issue with urgency & considerably.

IHOP food & wait time

We went to eat at your IHOP restaurant located in Midvale in Tucson, AZ on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, Christmas Day. We arrived around 2:30 pm, and placed our order. The restaurant was about 1/2 full, we ended up waiting over 1 hour to get our food order. I had ordered a BLT, which I don't understand why that would take an hour to make, when we finally did receive our order, my daughter-in-law's plate had a hair on it and the pancakes that were brought out were cold. I had never had such a bad experience eating at a I-HOP restaurant before. I will never return to that restaurant and upon talking to my co-workers (I work down the street from that location), everyone had the same remark, they take a long time to serve your food and the service is awful. I am surprised that this location hasn't closed down.

IHOP charging for a fruit bowl

I'm unable to tolerate foods that contain flour or potatoes (toast, muffins or biscuits). Our waitress suggested a fruit bowl. I assumed there was no additional charge for this, but discovered I was mistaken. Manager did remove the charge, but I believe ihop is discriminating against people who cannot tolerate flour or potatoes due to being diabetic.

IHOP manager karen ellyson unethical behavior

I will give you 3 accounts of Karen Ellyson's behavior, that is real, and I have experience within this month. I have recently been informed that she may have Slandered me, and may be Guilty of Libel in my name, I have done nothing but try to help here in any way that I could in the month that I have worked for this company. If any Libel in my name has been conveyed to co-workers' or to Steve, or upper management, I will take legal action.

I have been a member of the IHOP employee pool for about a month now, and have been communicated that I would be an server, with training to become an Crew Chief/ trainer, which I understand, completely. There are many Issues' with this store, that I had found the first day, that I was to come in before Karen (8 am) to which I found that upon arrival there was no Hot water in the store, the heater had stopped working, So in the role of morning manager(Crew Chief), which I was promised 13.25$ an hour I was making 8.25$-I believe in the beginning. She was having car Issue's which I understand. I was calling every plumber/water heater manufacturer to fix this issue. finally, after I had made the decision to close the doors at 12 pm Until further notice. Karen had a handyman come out, and try to fix it, and he and I were both perplexed by this water heater issue. I finally called one of the guys, from the heater manufacturer (Roger, I believe) and he told me about the aluminum cap at the bottom and I opened that for 3 seconds and the the water poured out, (there was a clog in the drain pipe), and the heater started right up. I opened the doors promptly and helped clean the floor to aid in facilitating quick service turnaround. I'm not going to be screwed around by Karen or anyone else, there is a guy named Steve She keeps referencing(I don't even know if he's real or Imagined), But I haven't met him yet, or probably will, because I have resigned my position as of Friday 29th Black Friday. First I will tell you about the night of Thanksgiving, we were scheduled 4 servers and 2 cooks(one experienced cook and one new cook) Tyler another cook was supposed to be there but had changed schedule without prior permission with the younger new cook. So Tyler never showed up for his shift, and the older more experienced cook, Jeremy, left at 9pm because he had worked all day and had worked 4 hours, which he said he was limited to, in the middle of an Rush. So production basically stopped because Johann is not strong enough as a cook yet to be alone on the production line. I, and my servers tried several times' to contact Karen Ellyson, which she never answered even texts to her phone, but the servers' told me that she had seen the texts and her phone rang, so she just wasn't answering, again i was doing Management position tasks and not being compensated for this work. We closed the store at 11 pm because of the incapacity to keep service to a reasonable level. We serviced the remaining customers and did our best to keep reputation damage to an minimum, and apologized to the remaining customers, which some were not very happy. We locked the store at 12:40 pm, and left the disaster for the morning shift, I felt as if we had been betrayed by the manager, for her not addressing the cook shift change and avoiding our calls for help, Karen, and so I left her the mess we were left.

Friday the 29th I came in for my shift at around 3:37 and spoke to Susan, and Brook, whom I was to relieve and take over the afternoon Serving shift, Karen wasn't available at the time, I spoke to Damien, one of the cooks, and told him I may not work there anymore after last night. I had been told by an server that she was offered the same deal that I got when I signed on, and that she was also Lied to about positions' of Crew Chief and decided that this was not an Opportunity I wished to continue to be thrown under the bus for, and walked out, resigned.

I found out that Karen Ellyson told everyone that I came in on the 29th and yelled at her that I never got my position and complained about my position as a server drunk and disorderly on the 29th of Nov. I know It was all recorded on the video surveillance and can be proven that NONE of these things she is saying never occurred, and that she had to have a story to Tell to Steve in upper management. This is Unacceptable, and will not go untended, Karen Ellyson has Slandered my name and possibly committed Libel offense to my name in texts or emails to Steve. I will not stand Idly by while she is doing this in my name.

If this situation is not resolved IHOP or it's members will be contact by my lawyer.

The IHOP in Bellmead, TX is not a place I would recommend. A friend and I ate there on 10/29/30 and it took at least 12 minutes to be acknowledged. Common sense is to at least acknowledge the customer to say, I'll be with you shortly or something of that nature rather than say nothing. The customer service and food quality confirmed that was my third and final time visiting this specific location. It has been disappointment after disappointment. To the Management of IHOP, please find out and correct whatever happened when IHOP moved from the Baylor location to the Bellmead location. It is not the same and needs an overhaul to bring this IHOP back up to standards. Thank you.

IHOP manager

Not near enough people working day before thanksgiving not very busy and still took almost 1 hour before we got our food which is way to long for the people that were there tables sitting dirty for allmost that long people waiting for food or to get there order in it was not good. I was raised in a bar, restaurant for most of 15 years kinda no a little of how it is supposed to work and this is not it. Sorry for the old folks who come in here to have to wait like that. Plain poor management is what it boils down to.

IHOP philly cheesesteak

Ordered my Philly with no onions and no bread with bell peppers. After 30+ minutes I was given cold dry meat that looked like poorly scissor cut not sliced Carne asada with no bell peppers, "I have pics". The waitress Jayleen was very kind and asked if I wanted it heated up but I declined, she should've asked if I wanted it remade. Not only was the quality bad but the meat tasted slightly spoiled also and my coffee was 80% watered down as well. I wasn't able to get the majority of it down. As I said, Jayleen was kind and did explain to us they only had 2 cooks in tonight and they were very busy hence the poor food quality.

IHOP service in general

Walked in seen it was busy, that was fine, but then people started coming in after us and walking through finding their own seats while me and my friend patiently waited to be seated.
Staff was very rude, servers would look at us and walk away, no manager in sight, only then to be told 45 mins later we'll be right with you, and still then the manager comes and seats the people that came in after us, after we waited patiently. Set at table for another 30 mins before even seeing our server let alone have our drink orders taken, food was unthinkable at this point seeing how understaffed the place was. It was chaos.
I am very disappointed with the service and have a very hard time even wanting to come back.

IHOP unprofessional and too much pressure

I was visiting the ihop in orlando... First I will say that our service was great. Lindsey was the servers name and she was amazing. However, while eating we overheard one of the managers yelling at all the servers in a very loud and disrespectful tone... Very unappreciative of her employees... Second it was campaign time with children s miracle network.. Our server asked very politly for a donation and explained the program but each time my family members approached the host stand we we're rudely asked and felt pressure to help "a kid with cancer"; this happened every time we went to the restaurant. I feel like the business is more concerned about their kickback than actually helping kids in need. Bad approach and bad atmosphere. Respect your employees more and then everyone would be happy to donate and help as well as we would enjoy our meal

IHOP carryout

I paid for food At 10:47 AM I didn't receive food until 11:30 food was a lukewarm I asked for a food to be remade they heated the food up and brought it back not the same quality I asked to talk to manager. manager came back with a remade omelette same pancakes I ask for a refund. After sitting in IHOP for almost an hour for bad service and no food I should have at lease gotten an apology but I didn't, only to have my money refunded to my credit card reluctantly after I told them I would call credit card company myself to have amount rejected.

IHOP employee

We when with the family to have dinner at this location with my new born baby and my husband and brother as we approach the place we park and walk towards the entrance when all of a sudden we get wet from Mop water and I look back and employee had throw a mop without taking of the water and had splashed us all over with dirty mop water and felt in my eye sence then I've had problems and burning eyes and itching sensation with bothers a lot and when I told the manager all he said was I can give y'all some free food.gave us some fries and didn't even say sorry nore did he tell his employees to apologized

IHOP workplace

I actually currently work at the ihop in joplin. Was just told today that checks wont be arriving due to payroll not sending them out on time.. Lame.. And thank god its finally fall.. We have had a broken ac for the last 5 summers.. And since our remodel, they tore out the old floors, and are working on bare flat concrete in our kitchen area.. Cant even get mats... Employees arent the priority there.. Their sales are..! Anything to save a penny!

IHOP manager hugo

I usually do not do this, but as a parent and manager myself. I feel that IHOP needs to replace the manager Named Hugo at the Durant IHOP in Oklahoma. My daughter worked there up until today! He is very rude to employees, he yells at them in front of others, all waitress uses the manager card, weather it is his, his wife's/ girlfriends, or the manager that filled in . But he can't be found a lot of the time he is on his phone or is in the bathroom playing games and rumors from other employees is he is doing drugs. He can't keep good employees because he treats them so bad after yesterday when my daughter used manager card he sent her home then she went into work today and he asked what she was doing there when she was scheduled to work and sent her home but she had turned in her two week notice and had a week to go . Which any decimeter office manger would let you work your two weeks and the reason she turned in her two week notice is because he is rude and degrading to his employees. He needs to be fired immediately.

IHOP rude and disrespectful manager

I submitted a corporate complaint on October 2nd, after my family and I visited for breakfast September 29th. I was hesitant to complain because I'm usually one to just look the other way, BUT my kids were involved and were still talking about it days after so I just felt the need to reach out. I was sent a response 6 days ago saying someone would be reaching out within 3-5 business days and still have yet to be contacted back regarding the situation.. Our usual IHOP usually has cool stuff for kids, they have seasonal food and drinks, right now its the Adam's Family, they provide books and color sheets and my 2 kids just love it. The staff also usually allows the kids to hang their pages, and as you can imagine, my kids looove this! We had just finished our meal that morning and were all headed out to leave and I noticed the manager I believe, tearing down all of the kids drawings. He was a hispanic male about 6ft2" tall and slender, he was wearing a dress shirt and tie, had dark hair and glasses. As we were making our way out of the building, I just happened to overhear one of the hostesses say to him that he was "killing these kids dreams" by ripping them all down...his response was to grab a handful of the torn down sheets and tear them in half exclaiming "those kids killed my dreams!". I was truly appalled that IHOP would have a person with such a negative and harsh attitude to represent their company. Especially since he was right out in the open in front of everyone.. The worst part, was that my kids were standing right there next to me seeing the same thing! Something needs to be done because this is absolute inappropriate and unprofessional behavior for a "manager". I would like to be contacted back or have some sort of solution because I was never reached out to and the issue has definitely NOT been resolved.

IHOP management

At the Temple IHop, On 10/4 at 10:33pm, I was waiting to get my bill split and the waitress was asking the manager to come to the register to assist her in splitting the tickets. The manager (Danielle) very loudly yelled across the restaurant that she did not have time to assist our waitress in splitting our bill. She stated "I don't have time for that" this was not very professional and is not how a manager should conduct herself. The restaurant was full when she decided to yell this across the restaurant. Our waitress Ashley W was a very nice waitress and was very patient in waiting on the "manager" to come assist. The manager was sorting food while other employees stood around. I'm not sure as to why she "did not have time" for paying customers.

IHOP food cold and order not correct

I picked up a carry out order for my husband and I. Our food was cold and undress, and my husband's omelet was not as he asked for it. He ordered a loaded omelet and hashbrowns...omelet was supposed to have extra cheese and tomato added, plus no onion, and got the exact opposite. I ordered a BLT combo with fries and coleslaw. The bacon was hard and overcooked and both the sandwich and fries were ice cold. Please remedy this situation and feel free to call if you need anymore info from me. Thank you.

IHOP food quality

IHOP cyber hub gurgaon is where we went on September 22nd at 11:30 AM.

We had terrible breakfast experience. Everything we ordered was bad in taste and quality. The garden omlett my wife ordered smelled of bad oil. The strawberries on pancake were bitter and sour. Spaghetti bolognaise was so bad cannot explain- extremely sour, poor quality lamb pieces. The chocolate milkshake was so very sweet even my little 5 year old daughter who loves chocolate could not finish. For Rs 2000 it was the worst food experience we have had.

I had stayed and worked in the US for about 10 years and I was a frequent visitor to IHOP. Please audit the IHOP Cyber Hub Gurgaon and shut the damn place down if required as it is spoiling IHOP brand with pathetic customer experience.

IHOP food

The Red Velvet pancake should come back. it was my favorite thing there. i got it every time i went. most people enjoyed it. especially with the cream cheese frosting. no matter how sweet it was, it was delicious. Taking it away just because it was to sweet is not really a reason to take it away. if people didn't like it, they didn't have to eat it, or just order it with no cream cheese. i bet a lot of people was very disappointed when we found out it got taken away.

IHOP food poisoning

Hello my name is Marva Hughes I eat at ihop Location on Constitution in Colorado Springs Colorado I received food poisoning From the good it has caused major stomach inflamination I have had to take off work for 2 weeks I've been to the er where I got a ultrasound done I have to go to a gastrologist Because my stomach has not healed at all it is painful and I would like some type action taken I have contacted the Manager at ihop they was rude to the point where I want to sue this location I'm sending a email first to see what can be done or resolved thanks so much my number is [protected]

IHOP thefts

On September 2nd I made 3 orders on the phone, when I went to pay for each separate order the waitress did not submitted the order in the computer she just opened her folder where she carries her tips and game me my change telling me that she owns me 22 cents because she didn't have them, as I noticed what she was doing I asked for a receipt she looked at me and gave me the original one the one with the order but not that I paid, I had to pay the second order with cask too and the same thing happened, the orders were all the same, so she told me she owns me another 22 cents ( unbelievable), then the 3rd order was with a credit card and she gave me the receipt of course because she had to do that transaction.
The purpose of my writing is to late you know that the cash sales has being stolen by the employees her name is Johanna the server. If you need more information about the transaction I have the "receipt" my email [protected]@hotmail.com
