IHOP poor management

I was working there only for two weeks the GM was always very mean and always with bad attitude . I give my two weeks notice but I want to report this I Hop to the labor department because I had to work on my brake always because I was the only server in the afternoon . She make me take a brake if not we get a write up. Very unfair... I don't recommend this place to work for no body this is very unprofessional place with very poor management skills

This information is for the owner she is the worts GM 3 people already quit in two weeks. Hope they get better GM very disappointing to work for thisI Hop. I never meet a GM with so much poor skills

IHOP customer service and food

We visited the IHOP in Manchester, CT yesterday at about 5:30pm with our grand daughter. We arrived and were seats in a few minutes. There were only about 7 or 8 tables occupied. After ordering our basic meals, it took about 30 minutes to get our soup and salad appetizers. By that time I had finished my water and was not offered another. It took about another 20 minutes for our meals to come out. My boneless fried chicken was over cooked and the mashed potato's were instant with a dried crust around the outer edge. Not butter was added to the buttered corn. My husband didn't even have enough country gray to spend over his country fried steak. We should have gotten our grand daughters meal free with a paid adult entrée, we didn't. No one was around to question this to or even take our bill payment. We left our $ and left. This is our 2nd bad experience at this location and will NOT return again.

IHOP sexual harassment

Sexual harassment is something that needs to be taken seriously. The Longview Texas IHOP has a problem with this. There have been numerous reports and the manager is aware. There are witnesses to these actions. The manager has aloud the people involved to continue to work the same shifts and they have been told to work it out until further notice. The is unacceptable! This needs to be handled correctly now. As a reminder the Supreme Court has issued rulings to make employers liable for these incidents. Please correct this problem ASAP! Thank you.

IHOP cold food and bad management

I visited this location on saturday dec 8th. So first off my waitress acted like she didnt want to be there. She barely paid any attention to myself and my husband. Then we get our food and i ask for a side of honey mustard and she comes back with a little black container that had about a drop in it LITERALLY. So then i go to eat my burger and its cold. I tell my waitress who mind you i believe was the manager on shift because she had the different polo shirt then the other waiters that my food is cold she's like well the best i can do is make another one. So my husband is suppose to sit there and eat w/o me or wait and have cold food who mind you had a small portion of food...no thank you ill just suck it up and eat it. I told her i wasnt impressed. She had nothing to say. She didnt even offer to take off the bill. She also didnt even give us her name because she didnt introduce herself to begin with. I never complain to corporate but this is the most displeasing experience i ever had. I heard other guests complaining about the bathrooms being disgusting. Im not on here trying to get her in trouble but i need this to be addressed if anything. They can not have a shift leader/manager that is like that. She needs to pay more attention to her guests and act like she cares about her job. Very unsatisfactory. Thank you have a nice day!

IHOP food order

IHOP store#3105, I ordered the whoville french toast combo, item was no longer available. However, no one bothered to inform of this, the cooked instead took it upon themself to substitute my order without notice or permission. No my ticket was not adjusted. Very dissatisfied with everything but the waitress. My check# 3392 Dec 8, 2018 @ 3:47pm. Definitely would not recommend the Shelby, NC IHOP.

I went the IHOP in Odessa, Texas, What a total Disaster, , I did contact the Manager of this Facility and the response was this is the way it is here in Odessa,
We are trying to improve .
Do not waste your time stopping at I Hop anymore.

This place looks like a bar room fight.

IHOP hostess

My wife, Darlene, and I went to the Erie, PA, IHOP location on Peach St, yesterday, Dec 7, 2018, about 1100. The hostess, I do not know her name, seated us. As my wife has Celiacs, and other food allergies. She has to be very careful what she eats and how it is prepared. We have eaten at this IHOP before with no problems.

The hostess seated us and Darlene asked her for the gluten free menu. Which, if I remember from the last time we were there, it came in a three ring binder. The hostess said, "Well, I know what you cannot have, you cannot have toast, panckes or anything with wheat?" Well, no kidding! Darlene is 59 years old, a home health nurse, so I am pretty sure she knows more than the hostess about what she can and cannot eat. Darlene asked for the gluten menu and she refused to bring it to the table. What the hostess does not know is that along with all the regular glutens associated with celiacs is that she also cannot have anything associated with rice or rice flour, maltodextrin, and a number of other ingredients. Every restaurant we go to, including IHOP, no one has ever refused to bring a gluten free menu or at the very least provide ingredient labels for her to look at.
We considered leaving and going to another restaurant, but we were running out of time for an appointment and we decided to just go with what she knew to be something she could eat. Personally, I don't think most staff members of most restaurants are trained in the aspects of gluten and other food allergies. She nearly always has to explain about the importance of a clean grill, new oil in a fryer, cross contamination from using the same spatula for other foods.
I must say, however, that the waitress, Cheyenne, has a good grasp on the fundamentals of gluten and what to do for those that have that allergy. She seemed to be knowledgeable and was very understanding. The hostess however, should have some training, at the very least, in customer relations. We have eaten at this location several times since its opening and have had pleasant experiences. However, if this is what we have to deal with from now on I am sure we can find other accommodations.

Explain why we received a receipt with sandwiches, iced tea, lemonade and other items equaling 29.70. We explained to the waitress, Dora, that the bill was wrong. "The manager will take care of you at the front", Dora said. We pressed about the bill being wrong. Still added up incorrectly. He offered 20% off our bill. Still came to 27.07. Gave him 30.10. Change of 3.03. They're running a scam there. Giving wrong receipts and people are not noticing because the receipt quality prints very faded. Thank goodness my eyes are sharp. I'm warning everyone on Yelp. IHOP send in the shoppers to spy on this.

IHOP iced mocha and service

I was served an iced mocha from IHOP in Springfield Ohio. A dark liquid had settled on the bottom of the glass while the rest of the drink looked like a mocha. After tasting it I realised I was served a spoiled milk drink. I am very unhappy that the correct action was not taken to prevent this event. I am concerned for public health. One cook was wearing winter hat. The rest of the people cooking had no hats on. Nor did I notice anyone wearing gloves. We waited 10 minutes to order food. Then our waitress sent someone else over to take our order because "she could not wait on us right now." I was told I would get I water to make up for my spoiled drink. I did not receive my drink for another 10mins. After a total of 20mins our substitute waitress said "We will have to wait a little longer for my toast and sausage link order because she hit the wrong button and ordered or food incorrectly." I have already contacted the health department. We will not go back to an ihop again. Poor service can be forgiven, things happen. However, serving customers spoiled milk products is a public health risk. Someone's job was neglected to be done.

IHOP service

On 12/3/18 at 7:00 pm my husband and I were at Ihop in Alexandria Louisiana. When we walked in no one acknowledge us. One girl stood up looked at us turned and spoke to another girl said something to her and the seco s girl said I don't know and went back to doing what she was doing (playing on her phone). We were never told "Someone will be with you shortly". We stood there for 10 minutes before we turned and walked out. They were not busy at all. There was only two tables that had other customers. It is very disappointing when you choose a restaurant to eat at but can't get service.

IHOP store #4454

I placed an to go order around 7:26AM and no was there around that time (no other customers); only people that have ordered and eating. After placing my order I left and went to the store. I came back around 7:40 stood there while my order sat on the counter until 8:05. A worker stated that someone will help me in a moment. Then finally the worker came and said here is your order. Then I asked her (was my order sitting there all this time?) and she stated yes. You mean to tell me that my order was sitting there for 20 minutes while I had been standing there for 20 minutes and no one said a thing. Had I know that was my order I would have grab it 20 minutes ago. That is unbelievable and totally unacceptable.

IHOP I am complaining about glass in my pancakes

On 12/1/2018, Walter James and myself (Donevette Evans), went to IHOP, on 2430 173rd St, Lansing, IL 60438, about 5:30 PM, at 5:55 pm when Walter James was eating his pancakes a trick piece of glass was in between his teeth. I took a video of it and then I got the Manager, when she came she looked at everything on our table to find out where the glass came from. She asked us to pass her the syrup, when she took the top off the syrup, the top of the jar was broken, the piece of glass had broken off the jar and fell into the the syrup of course she didn't charge us for our meal, but that was very scary to us, Mr James is 68 and I am 66, he could have died. The Manager said she will be checking all of the jars, but I feel all of your Restaurants should check their jars. Because we will from now on. I love the way your Manager handled the situation. I'm having problems with sending my videos to big.

IHOP grench pancakes and hot chocolate

I went on Dec 1 to get the grench pancakes and hot choc and was served reg pancakes and red hotchoclate my 3 kids was so upset they was sopose to have breakfeast with Santa and he never came to our side he stayed over on the right the hole time. The only reason we went was to have French pancakes and hot choc. They didn't tell us they was out until we was served and kids was starving but. 43$ was not worth it cause they didnt get what they ordered.

IHOP ihop #1497

On Thanksgiving night while Black Friday shopping, my family (party of 4) entered into IHOP around midnight. There were quite a few people waiting, which is to be expected; however, those people began talking and then other people came around the corner after hearing the conversation. Everyone was saying that the prepared food was just sitting in the cooking area window and was not being delivered to the tables. One lady said that she had been waiting 2 hours and that people were getting cold food. Others were saying they were waiting an hour. One of the IHOP employees at the cash register just looked at the group of invitees and ignored us and had nothing to say. I just wanted someone in IHOP's main office to know that this was happening. Several people got up at that point and left. We were able to go down the road to another restaurant that was opened for Black Friday shoppers. I love IHOP restaurants because they are so family oriented. I just thought this was quite unusual for a IHOP restaurant and I do not want anyone to lose their job.

IHOP call in orders & customer service

I just recently called your restaurant on Durand ave Racine Wi to place an order I was told I couldn't substitute the pancakes for the hash browns so I politely asked for a manager and was told no manager was on duty i asked for the males name that I spoke too and he told me to come in and place my order and hung up . So I Call Back And they unplug the phone how professional is that ? What type of business is being ran at your restaurants ? I really don't appreciate how they treat there customers and I go there daily on top of that last time I went there they shorted me on my change by $2

IHOP burnt food, messed up order, nobody on the floor

On November 28th 2018 around 3:30-4:00pm, me, my fiance and son went to the IHOP at 2000 W. Northern. It was slow not many other customers. We got our drinks and ordered our meals. They were out of half of what we wanted but that's besides the point. My fiance ordered a 14$ plate. They burnt his meat, gave us normal diced potatoes when he ordered the red and gave him canned corn when he ordered corn on the cob. They burnt my crepes and when we asked for our bill we waited almost 15 minutes, before my fiance finally walked back and opened the door to the kitchen. There was no staff on the floor at all the whole time we waited! All of them were in the back hanging out! Once our waitress saw my fiance open the doors she finally came running out. Apologized with a petrified look and said she would ring us out. I asked if she was the only one working which I knew she wasn't and she said yes. My whole family has worked in the culinary field including district management. I'm disgusted at the poor service and will never go back to that location. Nor will I ever recommend anyone else go there.

IHOP sexual harassment at work

Managers at this franchise use female server as a lovers to promise more hours and better schedules, Store Manager Darvin Morales maintein sexual relationships whit an employee even his married, as a result of this relationship she get pregnant and have to have an abortion. He's no the only one. Are comments and touching inappropriate whit sexual advances. I been suffering of harassment for not be a participant on sexual activity. I reported to Human Resources and don't do anything about it, Mr. Darvin Morales is been promoted to a high position...

IHOP the ihop on stringtown road in grove city, ohio 43123

We went to this IHOP to have dinner on November 9 2018. It wasn't that busy but the 1st thing that we noticed was all of the tables that were full of DIRTY dishes. We decided to stay because I REALLY wanted some of those GREAT IHOP pancakes. After waiting a while someone finally came an asked what we wanted to drink they got that for us and said they would be with us in a bit we said OK. While waiting we noticed that the people before us had also only been served drinks and they had children with them. It was only my husband and I. So we waited and waited and waited this wait took an hour to hour & an half then we finally said that was ENOUGH waiting. I am diabetic so I can only wait so long. While waiting I decided to video all of the dirty tables that had NOT yet been touched. One family came in and they said they couldn't seat them because they had NO available tables for there party because they were DIRTY! When we finally left to go next door to Fazolis the tables were still the same way. NO ONE had even attempted to clean them. We went to Fazolis where we were able to get our table & food in @ 5 minutes. Some of our friends had told us about this IHOP and there BAD experience but we said we will just try it our selfs and see. Well what we found out was that our friends were telling the TRUTH and we should have listened to them. In an hour and half all we got was my husbands pop and my coffee. We tried to be patient as long as we could but we WON"T be coming back to this IHOP EVER again and we will also let our friends know not to waste there time either. We are NOT people that go around complaining this is only the 2nd time I have had to write a letter like this. We would appreciate a return letter stating what your going to do about this. IHOP palm coast florida ihop. restaurant experience

My IHop experience in Palm Coast, Florida. I took my 4-year-old son out to lunch at IHOP. We walked in and waited to be sat. The manager sat us. He asked what we would like to drink. I said unsweet tea and apple juice and also stated that we were ready to order. He said I will get your drinks and be right back. After he dropped off the drinks we waited another 10 minutes for a server to come over. The server took our order. I ordered sampler appetizer, fish and chips with soup for me. Grilled cheese, french fries, and applesauce for my son. I also order 1 confetti pancake just for fun. We waited 15 mins for my soup to come out. About 5 minutes after my soup came out my son's grilled cheese and fries came out. The server told me the other food would follow. After 10 minutes the sampler came out with my fish and chips. As the server dropped off the food she looked at me and said you didn't want any dipping sauces with your sampler did you? I replied, yes...I thought it came with marinara and ranch. She said oh I will be right back. After about 5 minutes she came back with the dipping sauces. I then I asked her to take off the one pancake that I ordered. She looked at me and said you didn't order one. I said once again asked to please make sure it was off of the bill. The manager walked by and he filled our empty drinks and said that he knew we were having a hard time and that he would take 20% off the bill. I said thank you and asked if he could please bring out my son's applesauce. He said it doesn't come with the kid's meal. I said I know, I am paying for that separately. He said he was comping the meal because everything just was wrong and that they were in the middle of shift change. The server came over one last time and asked if we needed a box. I said yes. After waiting roughly 10 mins she never came. My son carried a chicken finger in his hand out to the car. On my way out I asked both the manager and server who were standing together at the front counter didn't I ask for a to go box roughly 10 mins ago? They both looked at me blank. This store needs major help.
Also, the manager had a sit down with an employee in the booth right behind my son and I. That should not have taken place where the public could hear what is going on within the business. And I overheard the manager tell a customer that his drink was being compted because a customer should not have to refill their own drink.
Ask yourself, would you go back?

IHOP I visit your hamden restaurant

I visit your restaurant in hamden, CT. We was charge on two different bills gratuity for the same group I an family. When I ask why was we charged twice she simply said cause you all ate together. At different tables. It was not fixed. She said she couldn't fix it. I will never go back to the at restaurant. She was rude. I was so upset my fiance and his mom took over for me. I couldn't stay in there another mins.

IHOP employees/management

A guests vehicle was broken into by an off duty employee who then with an on duty Supervisor- Lisa Wixon contacted another off duty employee in purchasing items stolen from a patron in your restaurant. Video surveillance caught it all.
I was under impression at least one of the employees employment was terminated but now have come to know as fact that none of these employees have been dismissed and have since been welcomed to come back to work and are.
Really?! Does this company not have any policies or guidelines that only allow their employees to be on the property when working and cannot when they are not? If there had been none of this would be going down. All 3 of them should be terminated permantly. Allowing them back only makes the entire franchise seem like all employees are thieves and there's a bigger cover up going on. I'm reporting this incident to the Register Guard so the public knows the IHOP on Gateway in Springfield Oregon is bait restaurant to cover up for a car thieving spree amongst it's employess.
