Close to 5 years ago, we were using IDT as our long distance carrier. While the rates were competitive, the service was sketchy at best. After dealing with them for about a year or so, we decided to switch to another carrier. It took us close to another year for IDT to release the line to our new carrier during which time, we had no long distance and were being charged for it. Finally, after countless hours spent trying to rectify the problem, IDT released the lines and ammended our $78 bill to a zero balance.

Fast forward to January of 2007. We received a bill from a collection agency for $78 from IDT back in 2004. We contacted IDT only to be met with incompetent and extremely rude customer service people. The collection agency will not do a thing for us until IDT agrees to take care of the situation. We are being called 5 and 6 times everyday from a collection agency and IDT refuses to look into the matter. Currently, we have contacted a local tv station regarding a consumer affairs segment that they run weekly. They will be covering the story. JUST BEWARE OF THEIR LOW PRICES... they are not worth it.
