Huntington Bank Loan service and customer service payment not taken

I have tried to pay my auto loan payments that I have with huntington 4 times. I have used the phone (both real person and automated) and online to pay to no avail. No one at huntington bank can tell me why they aren't taking my money. Every time I call even to ask questions about the payments I get transferred to at least 3 different departments. The customer service I have encountered with huntington has been horrible. Because they haven't taken my payment i've gotten hit with many different charges totaling in $160 dollars. The dates of my payments are 12/14/2020, 12/18/2020, 12/28/2020, 1/4/2021. I have even upgraded my bank of america account to highest checking account they offer in hopes that would fix thing. It didn't. I am at a loss. I have the money to pay my payments. I've never had this hard of a time trying to give money to a company.

Desired outcome: I would like answers of how to fix this and I would like all charges to be wavied

Huntington Bank Closed lobby

Closing all the lobbies of Huntington bank is the most absurd thing ever. No other banks in my county are doing this. When the pandemic hit in March they did this. Then in the summer they opened back up. Two weeks ago they closed them again. You would not believe the traffic back up. They only have two lanes open. It's so bad they need a traffic cop. My time is valuable. If they would open every window in the lobby and the every lane outside the traffic would move at lightening speed and they would have to worry about catching cooties. This has gotten out of hand.

This branch has only one drive through. With office closed due to covid this a big inconvenience especially as they closed the branch at nearby Giant Eagle. At least 10 cars deep everyday waiting to reach the window in this one drive through.

Huntington Bank Excessive - illegal fees

Huntington Bank has not been fair or legal in regard to excessive fees that occurred in my business account for making transactions. When I started this business checking account I was not made aware of any limits on transactions per month nor any charges that would occur with using the credit card purchasing and placing orders for customers from a business in Canada. These charges should be erased and my account should an d I should be fully credited for these charges, this is deception by Huntington Bank as hidden charges that they wish to keep secret so fees can be used as a penalty for small business. I mean $495.00 in fees? This was not some overdraft charge that was my error. I mean if you start a loan with a bank is it not true that the terms are explained with the loan, the interest, late charges and duration of the loan. How can I possibly do business with a bank that is not professional and discuss business properly, ethically and transparent. If these charges are not reversed, I will definitely close my accounts forever. There are plenty of banks I can use that want small business to survive in communities.

OMG read the small print. it's in there. lots of places charge international fees. many of these are not even charged by the financial insititution at all but on the end of the vendor you are using. if that is the case and you are continuously using one particular place and you notice fees coming only when you use them, it's not huntington's fault it's yours. quit being a damn victim already.

Huntington Bank How they treat their customers

Hello a week ago I called your bank my husband has been sick and he deposited an old check that had been returned twice from our other bank he doesn't know sometimes what he is doing and it was a mistake I called and told one of the representatives what had happened I had 18 dollars in my account that I needed desperately but your bank turned it over to the frude department I have had my account for 3 years we were doing well until my husband got covid it is now a week later you took my 18 dollars for a fee and that is all I had I have a direct deposit coming tomorrow and all my bills will come in to get paid but my account is not active I don't know what to do you have done nothing for a person that has covid and his wife I have never been more disappointed in a bank we didn't do this on purpose we needed your help instead we got told a different story by each representative if that's what your bank does to customers I want no part of it you should be ashamed for letting people without a penny

Hi Barbara,

Huntington Bank charges a $37.50 return fee for bad checks. If your account previously had a balance of $18, it will be in arrears of $19.50. I recommend that you deposit money soon (with a valid check) because accounts with a negative balance lead to closures and collections.

Huntington Bank Auto payment

I have called a number of times to install autopayment on my auto loan account. I don't understand why it's so hard to do. I was reassured that my payments will be charged automatically every month after I sign the document I received on my email. I have never been told I have to actually mail that form back again. Is it 20-th century yet, Huntington?
All other leading US banks are already accept autopayments setup online through mobile applications. For you just something to think about. You website and mobile applications are really outdated! I have a checking business account with you as well. Thinking about changing my bank because of that issue. I'm accessing late payment fees because of this!

Huntington Bank Checking account—holding of funds

I made a deposit of three checks totaling $10, 000 via mobile upload on 6-20-20 (Saturday). Per their policy, funds will be available on the second business day after receipt of mobile deposit. My account was overdrawn due to unforeseen circumstances from pandemic. Today (6-23-20) is second business day after deposit and just enough money was cleared for them to take their fees, leaving me with $6 in available funds. The rest is being held until 6-28-20 per customer service representative April and supervisor Qua.
I explained that my rent was due on 6-1-20 and that we had no groceries and requested that they please release these funds. No, they will not. I asked if they could at least hold off on taking their exorbitant fees. Nope, they won't do that either.
For a bank that claims to be so helpful and has posted at the top of their home page to "just ask them how they can help provide financial relief during these trying times", the reality is that they could give a rats *** about anyone but their greedy selves. I'm not asking for a handout. Im asking for access to MY OWN MONEY.
Am I supposed to believe that in this day and age that my funds havent cleared in two business days? This is clearly just PUNISHMENT from them for allowing my account to be overdrawn. They sure let me know who's in charge—the big, bad bank, that's who. Perhaps Huntington would like to get on the phone with my children and tell them sorry, no groceries for ANOTHER FIVE DAYS, and oh yeah, start packing because you're about to be put out on the street.
These are truly different and trying times that we are living in and I, just like everyone else on this planet, am trying to figure out what the new normal is going to be, My newly-started business is not going to move forward as planned, and I'm trying to figure it out. In the meantime, they are holding my money, charging ridiculous fees, and continuing to set people like me up for failure in a banking system that is rigged against the public. This is by far the worst customer service, lack of personal empathy, and biggest load of BS I have encountered thus far in this post pandemic world were all stuck in now.
When this money clears I will close this account and put my money in my mattress. And I will use every ounce of energy I have left to let everyone know, on any and every platform I can find, just how uncaring and predatory Huntington bank is.
If I could leave negative stars, I would.

good lord...all you have to do is google check hold times my man...quit complaining...at least you HAVE money to wait on. don't like it? i challenge you to call the Federal Reserve bank...they are the ones in charge here. There are anti-money laundering acts every bank HAS to abide by and no amount of any little person's complaining will do anything about it. Just be happy you have money to wait on.

Huntington Bank Rudeness from huntington tech employee on phone leaves my original problem unsolved

If Huntington really does record phone conversations between customer service people and clients, anyone looking into this complaint should listen to the recording of today's conversation.
date of incident: 5/27/2020
client info: Ann Russell, phone [protected]. Checking account [protected].

I have had difficulties signing into my online account with Huntington several times in the past. I suspect the problem has something to do with the system retaining an old user name/e-mail ([protected]@comcast.net). Every so often it pops up in the user name box instead of my current user name, which is annr4947. I have worked with the Huntington tech department on this exact problem before. I thought it was fixed.

Yesterday I made several unsuccessful attempts to log into my account, but was locked out each time. I tried again this morning, but was still locked out. I did try to reset my password. I did request a code, as instructed. I followed every direction I was given, without success.

I spent perhaps 15 minutes on hold before being connected to today's tech representative. He is a young man who may have been frustrated with previous callers. I can understand that, but he quickly stopped listening to me, repeatedly interrupted me, and was very condescending. Eventually I wanted to end the phone call, but he disagreed. I finally hung up.

I'm not an idiot. I'm a retired college professor. I taught my staff and students how to use computers for select purposes. Although I didn't mention this to the young techie, I found it especially insulting when he made remarks about trying to ascertain my "level of knowledge."

This is what I'd like to have happen:
Have someone in tech look at my account once more to see if the glitch I mentioned can be fixed.

Speak with the young tech guy about his aggressive attitude. He shouldn't be reprimanded or punished, but he may need to visit HR and learn about controlling himself when he feels stressed.

Huntington Bank credit reports

We have owned our home for 5 years and we have never had a payment be 30 days late we have never had an issue
However I called for information about a possible assumption Just for information
the person in charge would not come to the phone and simply told the rep on the telephone to tell me it is not assumable
So I in turn called the USDA office and was told it most certainly is which is what I thought
So the USDA office made contact with the representative regarding the matter
Now I had filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy back in 2016 and my house was not part of that because it is a joint account
The very next day after all this happened I had a derogatory remark put on my credit to TransUnion from Huntington Bank
Now perhaps this is just a mistake could be a coincidence but the bottom line is it needs removed from my TransUnion immediately and I don't know who to talk to to get this done but I have contacted Transunion as well as my bankruptcy attorney.
My payments are showing they are all 100% made on time and this is also what showing on my husband's credit however MY report is saying a derogatory remark has been made

Huntington Bank iphone case

I ordered an I phone case from the company Poukee.com. It was claimed to have been an apple I phone case in which it is not supported by apple at all. I have spoken with apple and they suggested me to dispute the charge. The case looks nothing like the one I ordered. I have contacted the company several times and they refuse anything more than a 10% refund. The item was 25 dollars. I will attach all the proof I have that not only is this not an apple case but also not much a case at all it has a border with stickers to stick to the phone. I have contacted the better business bureau over this matter also. I just want my money back and prove that is is false advertising. I have called Huntington personally and started an investigation my case number is [protected]

it's not the bank's responsibility to fix your bad choices. don't buy from wish.com or any of those other china companies as this sounds like it is. research who you do business with first. problem solved.

Huntington Bank credit card

I called exactly two weeks ago about a credit card I was transferred to the credit card department and applied over the phone and was approved the agreement was for a transfer balance from my Chase account to this credit card through Huntington Bank for $8, 500 then I called a week later to inquire about it because I saw a line of credit for $1, 800 on my Huntington bank account with $210 left so I called to inquire about that they said a man named Nicholas is the one who opened by count and he was a banker and they tried to get ahold of him and he was at lunch so they would have him call me back that was on a Tuesday he never called back on Tuesday or all day Wednesday so I called back to the credit card services again on Thursday
I was on the phone for a little over an hour most of the time I spent on hold only four the representative to tell me that Nicholas would have to call me back and clearly Nicholas never called me back the two days prior I was given Nicholas's phone number and tried to call of course he did not answer I left a message I called back to credit card services and told the next rep to have someone call me as I did not want to be on hold for an hour again and she said she would need some information from me to escalate my call and probably put me on hold for about 4 minutes then she came back and said she was an outbound call center so she couldn't call me back and I said that's okay I'd love to have a supervisor call me back or anybody for that matter to call me back she proceeded to try to explain about the protocol I said I have spent over an hour on hold with you all I will not be on hold again someone needs to call me back with that be Nicholas or somebody else but I refuse to stay on hold again for you all to do absolutely nothing and I hung up because she already had my call back information I tried to call Nicholas again I ended up leaving three messages with no call back today I received no call back again and I called him at 4:30 and left a message I had told the representative and Nicholas on his voicemail if I don't get a call back I am going to social media because this is utterly ridiculous I have a question to ask about what transpired when I open the account and no one will give me the courtesy of calling me about it

I have witnessed the Manager at this bank to be rude and unprofessional on numerous occasions. She has gotten loud with the employees there, favoritism towards some employees. Huntington Bank savings account closed without my knowledge

Last Sunday I discovered that one of my three bank accounts, a savings account containing $3, 000, was no longer listed on my portal. After calling the bank I discovered that they closed the account as they had requested information from me about it that I wasn't able to provide them because, I never received their notification which they sent me by mail. This came as news to me as I do all my banking either online or in person at the local branch, and the endless letters I get from them advertising credit cards or other products they offer, tend to get ignored. The bank representative told me my money was withdrawn from the account and a check was cut and sent to me by regular US Mail, which in our neighborhood is unreliable at best, non-existent at worst. At this point a week after the account was closed, I am still awaiting the check, meanwhile I have bills that need to be paid and am depending on those funds to pay them. I'm guessing my debtors will not accept the excuse that "the check is in the mail." Perhaps worse than this dreadful inconvenience was the lackadaisical attitude shown me by the bank. Ever since I first contacted them, I received not one communication explaining the situation. I just got off the phone with a supervisor named Robert who simply brushed off my concerns by claiming that the bank did its "due diligence" by sending me a letter of their intention to compromise my funds. When I requested that the bank simply cancel the check and deposit it into another of my accounts, he flat out refused saying that it was not bank policy to do such a thing. And what if I don't get the check with the money I entrusted to the bank for safe keeping I asked? Well after ten days call us and we'll cut another check and send it, you guessed it, by US Mail. This negligent behavior on the part of Huntington is unacceptable.

Huntington Bank repeatedly being told I do not have a voice credit card

I moved my saving and checking accounts from another bank to Huntington on May 9, 2019 and since that time I choose to do banking thru a teller rather than an ATM. I was making a deposit today, May 20, 2019 and for the fourth time I was informed that I had not signed up for the Voice Credit Card. I told the teller that this is the fourth time I have been asked and again I do not want the card. She apologized but said that they have to ask.

Now I would think that after a customer has said no it should be noted and not to asked again, and again and again. I find this very annoying. I certainly would like to see this policy changed and if a customer like me wants my account flagged that I do not want the credit card it should be honored.

Huntington Bank customer service

I had placed two stop payments/ACH from Check N Go, called numerous times, your bank still paid the item, causing fees. In fact I am owed $100 in overpayment from this shifty payday company that harassed me for months...Renee assisted me with quick reimbursement as I sent all email communication and proof, however at that point it was too late, your credibility was destroyed with me as a consumer and a fellow Banker. What really blew my mind was the process of how my interaction was handled with Valerie Washington at your branch. When I walked in her and another employee were just standing there, as I approached she asked me if I needed help and I stated that I wanted to close my account. She never shook my hand, introduced herself, or tried to save my account. After being a long time customer, I asked what the protocol was at account closing and if she is trained on retention efforts. Her response? Simply, "It depends on the situation" wow I thought, she should've just said "it depends on the amount on deposit". I explained where she failed with me and gladly walked out of your bank with my remaining $6.00 left after converting my direct deposits elsewhere knowing that any large deposits Huntington could've received from me, you now lost any opportunity of acquiring. I am glad to also share this experience with friends, family, and coworkers(in banking) as we are held accountable to the highest form of customer service standards regardless of stature, status, or walk of life. I would gladly work for your organization in the repair department to fix all that is broken internally. Get with the program guys n gals... signed;

Don't use payday loan companies... you never see them in good neighborhoods. I wonder why...
Stop pays in general at any bank are not guaranteed. I have worked for several banks so I know this to be true. placing stop pays also may cause legit items to get stopped and not paid as well if you place a stop for a dollar amount range. for pete sake quit blaming others for problems you create.

My husband and I went to the Heath Huntington branch across from giant eagle. We had an appointment to have some documents notarized.

Both my husband and I felt like we were inconveniencing the notary from the time she opened the door to let us in to the time we were finished getting our documents notarized. I cant give glaring examples other than to say we both felt that she was not welcoming.

one small example is...Our documents called for blue ink ; she never offered to find us one as I rummaged through my purse. . she said she was going to use what she had... she just looked at us.

This is a frustrating time for all - I think its important that Huntington not loose site of customer service. A friendly smile goes a long way. I used to go into my branch and knew everyone. Now I go into my branch and I don't see any familiar faces.
Im considering moving my accounts from Huntington! Thank You Marcie Madden.

Huntington Bank brooklyn ohio

Hate crime on black men at that location. Huntington Bank is sweeping thier racial profiling and discrimination under a rug. Refusing to provide public service other than police calls to wrongfully arrest black men who havent done nothing wrong. Federal lawsuits need to be filed against thier actions, civil rights attorneys need to contact the victims to bring charges against Huntington Bank.
