Money missing three times off my emerald card. Had 1200 before I went to sleep woke up to only 700.00 did not use card. 200+900= 1200. Than we had two months ago 988 and somehow only used 140.00 and had 0.00. This is ridiculous can't get through to anyone

H&R Block / HRB Digital Charge to file taxes

I do my taxes online every year. This last year the irs kept rejecting it and H and R Block kept giving me this pop up saying not a problem it would be fixed it was never fixed and finely I tried to many times and now that was the reason it was not accepted. I paid the extra on line in case I needed help. I could not get help. I went to the local office was given a number to call did not work. I went again and was told t make an appointment. The lady went through my taxes thought she was checking for mistakes. None there it was alright. She got it to go right through was not rejected this time. Hmm it was the same thing I had, why? Than she returns and says $308.00 that I owed. I paid but I already paid on line. I thought they would just send a refund, not a word back they just kept it all.

Desired outcome: $308.00 for doing taxes already done

H&R Block / HRB Digital Poor customer service

We filed our taxes with Anna Bennet the OFfice Manager and Senior Consultant at our H&R Block here in Rock Springs WY. Not only was she rude from the get go like we were below her for her to do our taxes, that was January 30, 2021. Then when we had to amend them due to my ex, We set up an appointment and when we showed up she informed us that she had already taken care of the problem and faxed in the necessary papers. When we asked why she faxed them when we had e filed she said it was fine the IRS got it quicker. Well that was March 31, 2021. It is now almost end of June and still no refund. I have called the office and the receptionist informed us that H&R Block cannot find out anything for that they have done their part! So much for signing and standing behind every refund. They were suppose to get me a copy of the papers that needed done, when I went to pick them up they didn't have a copy for me. Anan rudely came out of her office and said I should try looking at my online file and it was there, sorry Anna but no its not there! SO WHERE IS IT? I emailed Anna hoping she will email me back before I started this but chances as I have learned are slim. I even called this office and asked for IRS phone numbers and they gave me the 1040 one which I already had, it is impossible to reach a person at the IRS and at H&R Block.

Any help for you is great appreciated this is so very frustrating.

H&R Block / HRB Digital Tax preparer/employee

Hello im trying to get a awnser to my past tax refund that was done by a office in elverta, ca that was missing a very large amount. I just recently came to the discovery from a audit I asked for on child support that they did not remove the amount missing from my return. I have tryed numerous ways to obtain information about that year 2016 which I received in 2017 and if there was a advance taken out on the return without my knowledge. I say this due to my ex and I splitting up after filing and the card being sent to her before me and the fact that at the office we went to file is where her ex husband worked and was manager (michael marcott) who had a grudge of retaliation towards me. I have got no help at all finding this information out nor have I been directed in the right direction to get a awnser. Also when visiting a office in search of a awnser I became aware that all my other tax years done with h&r block which was several have disappeared from your files. I have been dealing with identity theft and I believe this is where it may have begun. Please contact me [protected] [protected]@gmail.com

H&R Block / HRB Digital Haven't received my Tax Refund

I have been waiting for my taxes since February 2021. The person who filed my tax return told me it should take about a month. It's been three months, and I'm still waiting.
I've reached out to H&R Block several times and always get the same response. They can't tell me when I will be receiving my refund. I am still furloughed from my job, and contrary to what the news says, I want to go back to work. I like working, and the monies I get from unemployment isn't enough for me to take care of my family. We need help.

H&R Block / HRB Digital Amended Taxes

I had a appointment on 5/17/21 with Maureen La Rose at the Taft St in Hollywood fl she refused to do my Amended taxes trying to send me to a different location saying she need all documents when she didn't this is not my first time filing a amended taxes as long as i did my taxes with H&R she could have look me up in the system easily and she ask for my documents when i did my taxes which i had and gave to her she still refuse to do my taxes then you had another employee in the cubic behind me looking over my back putting her two cents in i asked to speak to the Manger Maureen said she be the manger sometimes never went to get a manger and i told her i would be calling the corp office making a complaint which i did. why should i have to go else where and my appointment was for that location very unprofessional staff and location i wouldn't recommend to one to that location and when i spoke to H&R Block Corp i told her i don't have to come file my taxes with this company i have choices

H&R Block / HRB Digital Mastercard Gift Card

In appreciation for referring two people to H&R Block I received in the mail two gift cards. Each for $20. Then came the pandemic & I just put them in a drawer . They both state good thru 04/2024. I received an email from H&R Block reminding me to file my taxes & I remembered that I had these cards. When I called to activate I was informed that due to lack of activity the funds were removed from both cards, & I was given a case # [protected]. To date nothing done. Is this any way to treat customers?

Desired outcome: Send two new $20 gift cards.

H&R Block / HRB Digital H&R Block in person filing and customer service

have been calling for two or three weeks now and waiting the three days every time with nobody calling me back from the escalation department. After asking for a second look after my original tax preparer did not file my taxes properly, my second look tax preparer did not respond to any of my calls or my emails. Nobody called me back from H&R Block customer service after waiting the 3 business days each time. Every time I call they filed a new note and told me to wait another 3 business days. I was told today that they had notated information somebody put in their system that I have been in constant contact with my tax preparer filing my second look amendment when this is a straight lie and I have not heard back despite many calls and emails and voicemails to their local District office and to him by email personally (as was requested method of communication). I only received one phone call that went to voicemail because I was in a work meeting and it was from the manager of the district local office at H&R Block and they said they were working on my amendment to try to figure out why they couldn't fix an issue and the supervisor said they would try to call me again the next day which I waited for but they never did. They called from a restricted number so of course I had no way to call them back. And now I've had an amended return filed without my consent or without knowing what is on it. And I've been told that my case is now closed out even though I've had no resolution, H&R Block has not kept their promises to me in anyway to help resolve case # xxxxxxxx (withheld). I was told that all I could do is schedule another appointment with a different office and when they called and spoke with me from the different local H&R Block office they told me they could do nothing to help and I would have to speak to the district office which I called multiple times already and always went to voicemail the same number I've already left multiple voicemails without return. I then called back the H&R Block customer service and was told I had to open a new case number for my complaint because of the closure of the case. And they also scheduled me an appointment with this district office to call me at a specific time which I waited for and never received the call that was scheduled. Now I have an amended return by which I did not agree to and I have no idea what is on it or how it will have affected my original filing that was incorrect to begin with. I have had nobody contact me back from either corporate or from the tax office besides the one mentioned call and I'm left not knowing what will happen with my amendment that was never approved by me or discussed with me beyond the initial second look appointment that I had to point out an error to the second person filing doing the second look and they told me they would have to get with their supervisor and get back to me before amending at which point I never heard from them again and had only found out that an amendment was processed without any word from H&R Block due to my tax transcripts. They never responded to my calls or my email about noticing an additional error related to an additional form missing and filing that was put in incorrectly that should have been filed to qualify for the 10% penalty 3 year repayment for early 401K withdrawal due to covid-19 related matters. I don't know the legality of it that they filed an amended return without consulting with me or giving me any idea of what the amendment contains but I know that it is absolutely horrible customer service and I will never be filing with H&R Block again. They have made multiple mistakes on my filing, they have not kept their word on returning any of my phone calls from local offices or corporate over multiple weeks now. And they have cost me at least $2, 000 in difference likely for incorrect filing. Worst filing experience ever from somebody that has been an H&R Block loyal customer for many years but not anymore.

Desired outcome: Refund filing costs and contact me back to know what has been amended and ensure my amendment was actually filed correctly.

H&R Block / HRB Digital emerald card

on 2/24 i went online to check my emerald card balance, and saw my account was missing $400 from a online transfer that I didn't make! i was outraged, I called emerald card customer service number on the back of the card, (Big mistake) thy said it was a online transfer made from an unknown external source! i told them that was an unauthorized transfer i didn't make, i don't have any bank accounts linked to emerald card, then after hrs of being transferred back and forth and disconnected from the customer service rep said there was funds attempted to load emerald card but didn't go thru insuffeint funds they told me that i was trying to transfer funds to my emerald from some unknown source, but i never did and don't have any bank account linked to emerald, i said i want to report fraud because the funds were never added to my emerald card just taken out of my account $400. Then when i asked to file a fraud claim and dispute the $400 that was stolen from my account, the customer service rep said i bet it was a family member that made that transfer then laughed and hung up, i calld back for 3 more days to file a fraud claim and dispute the unauthorized $400 transfer with no luck emerald card reps wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor or file a fraud claim/report they no joke keep disconnecting the line every time . i submitted a written request, but still haven't heard anything back and I'm still out my $400!

Desired outcome: I want My $400 back that was taken out of my emerald card account asap.

H&R Block / HRB Digital Emerald Card

I specifically asked not to have my federal money placed on an Emerald Card. My stimulus was. You cannot reach anyone by phone. The fees charged are ridiculous. I want my money taken off the card with no fees attached. Please advice me as to how this can be done.

When trying to logon to H & R block software I get the following error: This application is already running. I already purchase the software and filed my return. I was going to do my daughters return. but now I get the error. For $50 charge I was told the they would resolve the problem.

H&R Block / HRB Digital E-filing of my federal taxes

My wife and I had our taxes done by H & R Block. They said they were filed, but the IRS has not seen them, they were filed on Feb 12 2021. My wife tried calling them to no avail, then she went back to h & r block but all they said was they had been filed and there was nothing they could do, I know they filed my state taxes because they confirmed it. It's over a month now and the IRS still hasn't gotten my taxes, I don't know what to do now.

H&R Block / HRB Digital Tax specialist service

I went to file joint taxes with my ex husband because we are ordered by the court to do so. He makes an extremely disrespectful comment about my children not all having the same last name, in front of the tax specialist, Sharon Horrell, who was assisting us. Shortly after, she starts asking me all these questions as to why I am claiming my own children as dependents & needing to list A., B., C., and so on reasons as to why their dads have no rights to my children. First, I have never in my life been asked such questions on top of her just witnessing my ex shame me in public. Second, not anywhere ever was it ever stated that their fathers did NOT have any rights. I explained to her that I am the custodial parent, they are the non custodial parent and physically live with me. That answer was not good enough for her. And at that point, I just had to leave that office because I was extremely offended by this person I've not met before nor has any insight to the relations or how many fathers even! Solely based her questions off of assumption. As I proceed to leave, I overhear her encouraging my ex husband to go ahead and file taxes with her, regardless of the current court order put in place which states NOT to do so without both of us present & authorizing. I turned around and advised her that I did not authorize that and if it took place, I would turn around and sue every person involved in the illegal filing of my tax return. I could not believe someone supposed to be a professional, not only fed off of disrespectful behavior, but also encouraged illegal filing knowing it had already been stated there were court orders in place for specific means of doing taxes together per our divorce decree. I will never go back to that place and that woman Sharon Horrell is a poor representation of a professional tax preparer.

Desired outcome: She understands customers have rights to choose to file their own return or not & not encourage illegal transactions. Also, how to respect clients & not judge.

H&R Block / HRB Digital Remote tax filing service

So I applied for the new Remote Filing Service after receiving the promotional email from H&R Block.

Been doing my taxes with them for the past 3 years. Didn't mind paying the fees, because I'm the type of guy who'd benefit from the money now rather than later.

After filing, I asked when could I expect my refund. They told me 2-4 weeks.

Preposterous. There was no mention of such a delay during ALL verbal and written conversations with the remote tax agent, nor was it even mentioned on their website.

I paid over 200 dollars for this. If I knew the refund would be instant, I would have had filed my simplistic taxes myself.

I complained a bunch via email with my tax filer, and she denied not mentioning this BEFOREHAND. But it's clear in the communications that there was no mention of a delayed refund till AFTER I paid and filed taxes.

I asked why does filing in person qualify me for getting an instant refund while filing remotely doesn't.

She didn't have an answer for this.

She said her Regional Manager would contact me, and low and behold, no word for over a week.

H&R Block, you're obligated to provide consumers with enough information to ensure your clients make an informed decision. Not doing so is sketchy AF.

H&R Block / HRB Digital Emerald loan

In December 2020 I applied for a Emarald loan. I recieved 700.00. I was asked to participate in the program where a payment will be made by H& R block if I left the remaining $55.00 in my account. I did that and for some reason H&R block sent me & $30. 00 they now have $25.00 and my $27.39 plus late fees $7.39 and accruing interest and possible on my credit report for being late.
I would like to be resolved. I had a agreement from your company to pay this. I have been out of work due to being sick with COVID 19 and find this error that has been made by your company so unacceptable on the way you are engaging in business with the public. Please assist with this to so it can be resolved. It is clearly your companies doing. I have been a H& R customer for sometime and wish to be treated with fair and logical way of doing business. I don't want to go to another company but if I must I will. It is beyond me why you would ask to pay this amount and hold on to it only to send it back with no explications and not pay what is supposed to be payed with this money. It is fraud to say one thing and do another. Are you banking on the negligence of the American people to over look this issue. As they try to figure this error out with no help from your agency. Why would you want to gain from that. Bad business.

Desired outcome: I would like the payment to be made from H&R block as agreed And pay the late fee and interest that is attached to this error.

My husband and myself, we have filed taxes with H&R Block for at least 7 to 8 years now, for the past 2 years we have gotten an Emerald Advance. Year 2020 we received $3, 000 dollars of our money in advance, fast forward to year 2021 went ahead and filed our taxes and tried for the Emerald Advance again expecting the same outcome as before with the same amount of tax refund as year 2020 and low and behold they only disburse 500 dollars. I'm very confused as to why that outcome is different as our credit is sufficient as well as our tax refund. Nothing has changed except with H&R Block having a new bank.

H&R Block / HRB Digital Emerald Card

Starting Wed. Jan. 6th, 2021
I have been trying to reach HR Block Emerald Card for the last 2 days. I even got up earlier one day to try and be there one of their 1st callers, but as soon as the automated voice tells me that they are going to transfer my call to a representative...I later her another automated voice tell me that they have reached the maximum amount of callers and it tells me to try to go online for any questions. Now I tried to go online as well on my mobile phone as well as my laptop and they do not offer a complaint or question box so that they can get back to you via email or phone number. And on their frequent questions they have my question...but their response is to call the only number listed to call them by, which obviously I cannot get through to talk to someone.

After calling the HR Block Emerald Card Customer Service number over 30 times within the last 2 days...I decided to try and call H&R Block for help. Now this is my first time trying to reach out to H&R Block and their wait time does not coincide with what their automated voice tells you as well...it tells you that your wait time is 30 min. and 5 to 10 min. later it tells you that your wait time is 35 min. Who knows how long it will take for them to answer my phone call, all I can do is try.

I know that my stimulus money has been deposited to my account...however one of the two companies sent me a new Emerald Card which I activated assuming that my stimulus would be deposited there...only for it to be deposited on my original card which I cannot access the money now.

I also am aware that they are experiencing high call volume due to the same thing happening to so many others, but they should at least have another way you can reach them.

Desired outcome: I just want Emerald Card Company to contact me to resolve issue
