Very bad experience. Tried to rent a student room in Rotterdam twice with them. The first time, the landlord changed the conditions of the rental after booking, we had to cancel and luckily, the money paid was returned. The second time, after moving in, their conditions allow to cancel within 48 hours, if the property does not correspond to the description. We asked for viewing before signing the contract and that was rejected by the landlord. The room did no correspond to description, it was extremely small - 6.31 square meters and also there was a passage right in front of the room - which was not explained/seen from the pictures at the point of booking. Also, charging the contract fee of 125 Eur, which the landlord's agency chsrged is illegal in the Netherlands. They did not even answer our wuestion on this. They neglected our request for cancelation and we lost 750 Eur! The angent Pryia was very arrogant and ignorant. They keep side of scamming landlords!

On July the 10th I concluded an agreement with Housing Anywhere about renting the studio at Carrer d'en Robador, Barcelona. At the conclusion of this agreement I assumed the following situation: "Very cosy studio in the center of Barcelona. Open diaphanous space of 35m2, with a kitchen, living area, dining table, a closet, with balcony to the street. Very bright. Spacious bathroom Double bed. equipped kitchen Charming ceiling with exposed wooden beams and a warm atmosphere in the center of the city".

However, the actual situation is as follows: The studio did not coincide with the advertisement. I found mice excrement in the kitchen and a cockroach in the corridor. Also the furniture was damaged. The street is a very unsafe place for a single woman. It is a criminal environment with junkies and prostitutes at the front door (and not at all a warm environment). This was not mentioned in the advertisement.

If I knew in advance what the actual situation was, I would not have concluded the agreement with you. There is therefore an error now. You have withheld information regarding the bad and unsafe neighbourhood while you knew it was important. You have indicated / promised me: " Very cosy studio in the center of Barcelona. On the basis of error (Chapter 5 Article 1266 of the Spanish Civil Code) I cancel the agreement. I request you to respond to my letter within 14 days of the date of this letter and to repay the amount of € 912.50.

I would advise you to be careful.
No one is going to refund if something goes wrong. HousingAnywhere is not the wort service, but it's definitely not the best one and if you're not lucky, you may lose money. There's no guarantee from the company that you'll stay safe and warm, they won't protect you if a landlord will lie to you or steal your money. So you should realize what you're going to do.
So, remember this thing: if you spend money on their service, it will never be refunded no matter what.

This website is a scam.
I provide rooms to students who paid ahead of time through the website and o course, it's not their fault that I have never received my money.
I asked those students whether they paid or not, they showed me confirmations about transactions, but my money was never on my bank account.
I won't let anyone move in until Housing Anywhere pays me

I had a free room in my house and decided to rent it. Found HousingAnywhere website and decided to try their service. I was happy when someone actually contacted me and wanted to rent. That happened pretty fast and I was really impressed.
So the person moved in and lived here for three weeks. He seemed nice and friendly, but unfortunately he was a scammer and liar.
One day when I came home I saw that he was missing and all his items (clothing, gadgets and etc.) were gone! He took his stuff and disappeared (also took the key). He never paid for the rent. I tried to call him but he did not answer. Later I found out that he also gave me a fake name and that everything he told me about himself was a lie.
I tried to find him on Facebook, emailed many times, but everything was useless.
Beware! I think that he wasn't the only scammer on HousingAnywhere!
I'm only glad that he didn't steal anything.
