Honey Baked Ham seven pound ham

Yesterday, we received a gift Honeybaked Ham to be served for Christmas dinner. The instructions say to start thawing it 24-36 hours before serving, but it was delivered warm and thoroughly thawed a week before it was to be used. Honeybaked charges a premium price for a premium product and service. The consumer help line was a good way to listen to Christmas music for an hour, and the call back service was useless. Today, I took it to a Honeybaked store, and after another go around was able to exchange it for a fresh ham. (Technically this wasn't the store's problem). There was no way to tell how long it was thawed, and I considered the item to be inedible - not something I could safely serve (pork is pork) ...

Honey Baked Ham several

We ordered a ham because we received a gift cert from our neighbor, we went in and ordered our ham the lady kept opening the hams to show us. When we went and got our ham we beleived it was going to be sealed, but it wasn't, It looks like they price the hams by weight $10.99 lb, then they leave them opened and take slices off each one of the hams when people come in to order sandwiches, It appeared that our 7.88 lb $58.and change ham was really around less then 7 lbs, Lots of slices missing and it wasn't sealed as we expected. I beleive that they price them then use the slices from each ham, How fair is it that because of that you pay closer to 15.00 a pound. If I didn't have a gift certificate I would have never gone there, I will never return. We thought we ordered a sealed ham and that isn't what we got. When we got it home it was all dry and it wasn't good. I'm upset that Honeybaked ham thinks this is ok to do out in front of people and think that people aren't smart enough to know what is going on..Thank you Doris Beckwith email address is [protected]@yahoo.com

Honey Baked Ham order

I ordered a honeybaked ham and a turkey on Nov 7, to be delivered to my son on Nov 26th. When it hadn't arrived by 3 pm central time on the 26th, I called customer service and was told that UPS said it couldn't be delivered because there was no apt number on the address label, and the person on the other end of the honeybaked line stated that she, however, could clearly see an apt number on the address label so it was not their fault but UPS's fault. UPS says it was not their fault but HoneyBaked Ham's fault. HoneyBaked then offered me a refund or my son could receive the ham and turkey the day AFTER Thanksgiving. Now, this is my son's first year alone for the holiday, away from family, and he does not know how to cook so I ordered this for him. And, at this late time of day, and he works 12 hr shifts, he could not even go to the grocery store when he got off work, so he now has no food for Thaksgiving thanks to no one taking responsibility for this error. I ordered correctly, ordered early, paid promptly, and now no one claims responsibility and my son is alone and hungry on a holiday. When I put a complaint into the HoneyBaked Ham store, all I received back was a refund and a form letter. That is very, very bad customer service, especially after being a customer of HoneyBaked for at least 25 years.

Honey Baked Ham zero customer service

I ordered a $70 ham to be delivered 11/25/14, the TUESDAY before Thanksgiving. We were leaving town Wednesday to be with friends on Thanksgiving. I did NOT Want it delivered Wednesday Wednesday because we do not get UPS deliveries until 8pm.
I Placed my order, paid $15 for shipping, received confirmation of delivery on TUESDAY. Somewhere along the line Honeybaked took it upon themselves to CHANGE THE DELIVERY TO WEDNESDAY without even bothering to tell me they changed the date. If I had known I would have cancelled the order and gotten a ham at Costco. As it was, the ham went to waste and we had to find something else for Thanksgiving dinner. Screw you Honeybaked, I intend to dispute your charge on my credit card account. You have PERMANENTLY lost several customers.

Honey Baked Ham Order charged and not received

I ordered 3 $75.00 gift cards and was charged for them. When the envelope arrived there was a receipt for a charge of $75.00 and only 1 card. My American Express had been charged $228.50. They never answer the phone no matter how long you let it ring.

Honey Baked Ham they send me old and stinky products

I ordered products from the website www.honeybaked.com. I was really upset with the services and attitude. They are really unprofessional and not recommended. I ordered ham from them, but its usage date expired, and it smelled horribly. I started to complain, but the seller didn’t care. I haven’t asked for money back, ‘coz the seller wouldn’t return it. They are liars and scammers, and I want to find other deceived customers, who lost money. Please we need to stop this company and return our money. Post your comments.

Honey Baked Ham poor quality, inedible ham

DO NOT ORDE A HONEY BAKED HAM TO BE SHIPPED! ALWAYS PICK UP AT STORES! MAKE SURE YOU CHECK IT.

Ordered my Christmas Ham with the assurance it would arrive in 3 day. It arrived in 5 days, after setting on the melted cold packs for that length of time it had the texture and taste of a cross between a can of Spam and "potted meat".

This is a $100.00 rip-off, they have nobody to take a complaint or even care.

My dogs enjoyed it.

Honey Baked Ham cornbread dressing, turkey and garlic mash potatoes

The cornbread dressing was the worst I have ever tasted in my fifty one years of life. I usually order the cornbread dressing and turkey from honey baked every year for the past 5 years. ^Yhis year the turkey was fatty, the garlic potatoes had no flavor and the dressing was not palpable. It's as if they changed food vendors.

Honey Baked Ham terrible ham and smoked turkey

Ordered a 7 pound ham and a 2 pound smoked turkey breast for Thanksgiving from the Honey Baked Ham Store on-line and spent over $100 (not one of my brightest decisions). We haven't had a Honey Baked ham in years and was really looking forward to a special treat. They arrived well packaged and still frozen. I pulled them out just before dinner to warm. Before putting them in the oven I noticed the ham had a lot of fat and marbling - not at all lean as they claim. Decided I better taste both and the ham tasted like salt and the smoked turkey was so strong we could only envision eating in small amounts on crackers. I did serve them and everyone ate a bite, but they were awful. Everyone agreed the Costco ham is much, much better, no comparison. Both the ham and the turkey will be going in the garbage, they are just not edible and no one in my family wants to eat them. Don't know what happened to the Honey Baked Ham of old, but I will not be purchasing again, way to expensive and really bad tasting.

Honey Baked Ham poor service

I reserved a smoked turkey on Sunday to be picked up today (Tuesday). Sent my husband with the information to pick it up. Got home, the lady have him turkey breasts not a whole turkey. She didn't even look at our order form. Just assumed. So he returned it and comes home with a whole turkey but now it's roasted. I said this doesn't say smoked. He said the lady at the counter claimed it was smoked. So I said no it's not. So this time I went.. Now keep in mind this is the third time going there... They finally gave us the right turkey but with attitude and horrible service. Making me out to look like a dumb person by saying always check your purchases. I said I didn't know I couldn't trust the person I bought the turkey from when they were siting there telling me this is the right one. I asked for money back or half off because we spent more on gas than the damn turkey. He just walked away said sorry about that check your purchases. And that was that. Rude, horrible service. I will not be going back. Is it that hard to read a label and read the confirmation code like you're suppose to? Oh and to add... It wasn't busy in there so it's not like they were just slammed and rushing to get people in and out.

Honey Baked Ham heat seal

I had a Honey Baked Ham shipped to a family member. When they recieved it the heat seal on the turkey breast was not complete.
I tried for a week to contact Honey Baked ham and finally emailed them. They explainned that UPS rattled the box to much and the heat seal must have broke. The then explained that they can not ship a single turkey breast and it is in a combo pack. they can only give us a certificate for the turkey breast. My family member does not live by a honey baked ham and a 14 dollar gift certificate doesn't buy much online considering shipping cost .
I will not be buying honey baked ham ever again. They will blame ups for their heat seals not being properly done

Honey Baked Ham rude employee

I would never go back into the Honey Baked Ham store on Washington Rd. While visiting that location the employee there was very rude. I placed an order for a 7-8 pound bone in ham and I stated that I wanted the butt end of the ham. When I arrived at the store my order wasn't ready I had to wait. It wasn't enough glaze on the ham. The ham was very, very, very fatty I asked if I could see another ham. When the lady pulled out the ham it was a 10-11 pound ham I asked if I could see one around the same size I had order or smaller. She stated that I could wait 15 mins. for them to glaze one she gave me nothing but attitude. This is not the first time I have went into that location and recieved the same treatment. The lady is a short mexican with short dark hair. She is never nice or in a good mood. I will never spend another dime in there again.

Honey Baked Ham poor quality

We bought a 75.00 ham for the holidays and it was all fatty about an inch all the way around the bone. We have been buying these hams for the past 5 years and have never been this dissapointed. Most of the meat will have to be for soup or just plain waste.

Every year I use to get a Spiral Ham, but was too expensive so would get one from Costco, which was seemingly better than the ham's I got in Pleasanton, CA. This year I thought I would give it a try here in Sacramento, Ca as they had the special promo with a turkey breast @ $19.99. OH MY ... The turkey was SO DRY my dogs wouldn't touch it, the ham had a taste of burnt, smokey flavor also dried around the edges on that one. ( NO I DID NOT over cook it to warm them up either.) They looked that way once I was ready to take out of the packages to heat them up. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER HONEYBAKED HAM OR TURKEY AGAIN. Seriously, Costco, Sam's Club is much better and cheaper. I so wish I could get a refund and maybe paid money for handling it to the trash. Ruined the first Thanksgiving I had with my very young grandchildren as I had to apologize to them that we did not have any turkey for them. Not the best Thanksgiving I have ever had that's for sure.

Honey Baked Ham rudeness

I was purchasing a ham on Dec. 22 2009. I entered the Riverdale Utah store on a snowy day. Surprisingly it was not busy, only 2 people ahead of me. I noticed a tall woman with long brown hair leaning up against a counter with a stop watch in her hand. Clearly she was timing someone. I thought it was odd to have a worker doing this beings how there was not a line and a rush to get the customers out the door. She told a co worker that she needed to speed up her presentation. From what I observed the sales girl was doing a great job on presenting the ham and answering any questions that the customer had. When does time become more important than a presentaion on a product you are selling! Especially when it was not busy. How RUDE! Let's be a little more inconspicuous with your timings! It was very unprofessional! I could see the girl being timed was very nervous in trying to do her best in the "allotted time" given. Treat the customers with more respect and give them the time they need to purchase an item that will work for them and don't make it the Indy 500!

Honey Baked Ham poor customer service

I brought in a flyer from Honey Baked Ham showing 1/4 hams available for $19, 99. I went to the Rancho Mirage store with this coupon and was informed that price was with a reservation only. Otherwise the smallest ham they had was $39.00. Since I am on a fixed income and are only entertaining 3 additional guests I made a reservation to pick one up the following Monday. I was given a reservation number with $19.99 and the number 21Q written on it. I drove back to the store on Monday to pick up the ham and was then informed it would be $36.99 as that was the smallest ham they had. When I questioned the clerk (I had made a reservation, etc) she dismissed me with the comment "it says price starting at". I thought of asking for the manager but the clerk had a long line and said do you want it or not. I was upset but needed the entree so I paid the price.

I feel very upset that this is a bait and switch program! I have purchased many hams from Honey Baked but will not in the future. I will go to Sams Club and glaze the ham myself. I also will make sure I pass this information on to all my friends. I realize Honey Baked is having problems right now. I read in the paper that they only want to sell full hams. Why bother to advertise smaller ones then? One other thing. I have always received instructions with my purchase. This ham came with nothing. A very dissatisfied customer

Honey Baked Ham poor customer service

I always buy a honey baked ham for Thanksgiving and Christmas and then buy meal throughout the year. I will no longer being do this due to poor customer service. The manager at the Columbus store is rude and unhelpful. I used to get coupons through the mail and no longer do. When I called the store I was told they would be in the local paper all week. I went and bought the paper and there was no coupon there. I went to the store to complain and the Manager whose name is Thomas stated they would be in the paper Wednesday. I told him I would not be in town as I am an over the road truck driver and would not be back until right before Christmas. His remark was that was all he could do and he virtually did not care. I asked him to have his employees be more knowledgeable and asked for the corporate office number. When I called there they were not concerned that he was rude and stated I could get a coupon online and that he should offer to put people on a mailing list. They stated he would be called and told to do that but, that was it. I guess it is okay to pay over $60.00 for a ham and then get rude treatment. Well no more for me I am not buying them anymore.

Go to the Grocery store, don't bother with them again. But understand that the statement, "I don't get coupons through the mail anymore from you" is actually an annoying statement for CS reps to here.

Honey Baked Ham bad service

In December 2008 their was a new broadcast regarding recall of a ham purchase through the catalog. The company provided a telephone, which I called three time and I also emailed the company. No one contacted me. Everytime I called I was promise someone would call me back. I never to date received this call.

I gave the 1-2 ham purchase through their catalog to my son residing in Penns. I was informed that someone would contact me for my son's address. I had my son discard the ham.

What should be my next move?

Honey Baked Ham - on line orders

I Placed a order on line for 2 honey baked hams. Both arrived 12/23/08 at the correct locations. But they were shank hams not the butt ham. The local Honey Baked Ham store hams, that I have purchased have always been the butt hams not the shank portions. I would not have paid almost $150.00 for shank hams from anywhere! I was told by one manger from the...

Honey Baked Ham Poor quality hams, high prices, and non-existent customer service

I preordered a spiral cut ham of 15-17 lbs and was told it would be $74 with my coupon. On the 24th of Dec. I waited in line for the usual 30 minutes to get up to the counter. They gave me a 17 lb. Ham but told me the price would be $84 with my same coupon. When I complained, the response was "that is the price".

When we unwrapped the ham to heat and cut it, we got a major shock. Rather than spiral cut, someone had attempted to make it look like one. They had used some kind of cutter and made indentations about 3/4" deep on parts of the ham. We had to hold up dinner for our 23 guests as I had to spend a great amount of time trying to cut pieces of meat out for serving. The ham was also of significantly inferior quality - full of large areas of fat and gristle.

After the holidays, I tried to call management at the store to issue a complaint. After attempts on three different days I gave up as it apprears nobody ever answers the phone. I then contacted the corporate office and made my complaint. They were receptive, but said the local franchise would have to deal with it. They forwarded a written complaint to the franchise with instructions to contact me. It is now nearly a month later and no contact.

They obviously do not care about their customers. I have been a 30+ year customer at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but no more!

We've been Honey Baked customers for years. Last year we moved to Nevada (Reno area) and there is no store here. We decided to order a 9 lb ham. Ham arrived in time and we put it in the fridge. On Christmas day we opened the ham to warm up several hours before serving. What a disappointment. The famous crust was near absent, , the exterior along with 1/4 in and in some places 1/2 in was burned, the ham (the un-burned portion) was extremely salty and dry. Not sure what changed at Honey Baked; but it is not good. I guess it is prime rib from now on. Goodbye Honey Baked!

After going to another HoneyBaked Ham store and they didn't have what we wanted, we tried this store. I actually called twice first to make sure that they had the Barbeque 'Beef' Ribs. After waiting in a long line, when we got up to the counter we were told that they had no Beef Ribs just Pork. They don't carry them anymore in the store just online. We settled for the Pork Ribs after waiting so long. At home I called back to speak to the manager. I explained that I called twice and asked why was I told that they had the ribs. She then started to argue with me that they no longer carry them. She never answered my question or even apologized for the inconvenience. To add insult to injury we got sick from the Pork Ribs. We should have just purchased the ribs from the grocery store! We are never going back to this location!

My wife died in August. Thinking that I couldn't properly cook a Thanksgiving dinner for my boys, I ordered a full turkey dinner, with stuffing, sides, desert, etc. I placed my order in October. The meal was scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday, November 27, the day before Thanksgiving.

On Wednesday, November 27, I received a message from the shipper that delivery had been rescheduled for November 30. I called Honeybaked Ham and they response was (1) it was the shipper's fault; (2) they never guaranteed timely delivery. They refunded my money and acted as if they had done me a favor.

Not one person at Honeybaked Ham was the least bit concerned that our Thanksgiving dinner was ruined.

Never, ever trust Honeybaked Ham to deliver as you would expect.

We have been having troubles with a Honey Baked Ham franchise in Duluth, Ga, also.
In the past we would order a ham for my wife's mother for Mother's Day. Not this year.
The people at that franchise are rude and there is no way to do business with them.
We will no longer attempt to purchase anything from Honey Baked Ham. What an awful
company. Zero customer service, so zero purchases from us.

I lived by the Culver City Honey Backed shop back in the late 1990's and early 2000's. The shop was nice enough, service was good, and the Ham was what you'd expect. Good. The sandwiches were great.
Since I moved back to a town where my mother lives, and taking care of her in her late years of life, I decided to drive to the closest honey baked which is about a 25 mile round trip. I had to try with every bit of my fiber and a nice tip to get the two ladies there to "be nice". One of them clearly doesn't like life. Anytime someone is making food for me I always make sure they know I'm going to tip them. In the case of a store like this you pay before they begin making the food (in the case of sandwiches) so I could tip them first. Anyway, the set up for sandwiches was WEAK, The were OK, not like the Sandwiches I used to get in Culver city, those were the best Ham Sandwiches I've ever eaten, and they were always good.
I wanted some GOOD Ribs, so I bought 20 dollar slab of beef, usually I only make Baby Back pork but thought the beef would be good and meaty.
SUCKED! No meat on the bone and what was there wasn't good. For the price there is not excuse.
Last time I'm honey baking. The photo's, well, they are always good. I was shocked at all the negative comments. Customer Service has really nose dived in America the past 30 years. The past few generations of Americans are missing What the WWII generations had. Honor, discipline, everything they did had to be right and they always kept their word.

In regards to Honey Baked Ham in Sioux Falls, SD, my first experience was terrible. I walked into the store, looked around, stood at the counter for a few minutes, and no one came out to wait on me. I walked out and didn't go back for a long time. The next few visits were positive. I was impressed with the customer service and the quality of the ham. However, it all went downhill in the last year. I bought a ham that was overdone and burnt on the edge last year, and I contacted Honey Baked Ham headquarters. The store manager apologized and sent me some $10.00 and $5.00 gift cards. I used those a few times at the store. This summer, I bought a pack of ribs. I have always had good ribs from Honey Baked Ham, but these were so bad. They had very little meat on them, the meat was like shredded tree bark (over cooked) and the sauce was not the original Honey Baked Ham sauce. I was grossed out! Yesterday, I went to Honey Baked Ham for lunch. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich. It, too, was really gross. It had no flavor, and it had so much gristle in it that I felt like I was chewing on gum! Unexcusable, and it's terrible that someone would serve this to customers! I will never go back to Honey Baked Ham again.

Honey baked ham company put a $7 coupon in the local paper her in metro detroit - for the past two holiday seasons.in an attempt to undercut local retailers - who have invested a lot of money to put their honey baked express kiosks in their stores - they are refusing to honor the coupon when redeemed by a honey baked express retail location. Hundreds and hundreds of customers are being sent away angry by hb express retailers so they can wait in line outside a honey baked corporate store. Times are tight around here and $7 is $7!

If this company cannot keep up with the demand for their products, why would they be so greedy to their express retailers that they would compete against them?

This is ridiculous - they are not worth it! Not with all the recalls and complaints I have read online. If you are in michigan - buy a dearborn ham - they care about their customers!

The associate ringing us out swiped our card multiple times and now we have four charges on our account for one order. The store manager basically told us they couldn't do anything for us and sent us on our way. No customer should have four of the same charges on their card. That holds up money in our account funds.

On 5/12/2019, I purchased a Coconut Cake from Store 38, in Suwanee, GA.
I am Disappointed because, the cake is burnt and taste stale. I have pictures of the sliced cake and my receipt, but I can't upload, because the error message keeps saying my pictures are too large. Tell me where I can send the pictures. I want to be reimbursed. [protected].

Order [protected] for sons Son received Brisket damaged on Good Friday. I called around 2pm Good Friday; Customer Service said they would refund or resend...Thursday delivery...to which I replied, that doesn't help son's Easter dinner...Poor Customer service. They should have overnighted the replacement at their cost.

I ordered a Thanksgiving dinner that was to be delivered on Friday, 11/17/17. After 6 calls, I have been given a runaround with the item still not shipped. Each and Every call the customer service blamed UPS. They cannot deliver what YOU don't provide. I hope UPS will stop accepting shipments from this company. An outrage. Disputing charge.
