HomeGoods - ceramic pottery - rae dunn

On Saturday 11/16/2019 I was in the store at opening. I walked past the stockroom and saw 2 red canisters that I was interested in purchasing along with 4 mugs (w/santa hat toppers). The tank was sitting next in line to be flowed to the floor. I waited for several hours before finally approaching an employee and asked if I could have the merchandise. She went to the back and pulled the 2 canisters from the tank and was bringing them out when another employee stopped her and told her NO. She came back out and said she wasn't allowed to bring them to me, I would have to wait. The tank was then purposefully moved to the back of the line and out of site. I waited until around 1:00PM and they refused to pull the tank. I asked another employee if the canisters (2) were still there and she said yes. Finally around 1:45pm I asked for the manager. The manager Ray walked past me several times and never made eye contact, I even approached him and called him by name and said hello to which he replied as he was briskly walking past me. Finally, the new shift manager, Selena, came by and she asked if she could help me. I explained why I was there and waiting to which she replied she could not pull the tank or the merchandise and I could come back the next morning. I told her there are 2 red canisters and 4 mugs. She never denied the quantity nor did she go back and look until after I left the store. Sunday morning, I arrived at opening and was the first in line. My friend also arrived. When the door opened we went straight to the department to only find 1 canister and 2 mugs. Selena then tried to say there was only 1 canister in the stockroom all along, when in fact there were 2! I saw them and confirmed with 2 different employees. Selena said there were 4 mugs however only 2 were on the floor. We searched for over an hour. Someone intentionally moved 2 mugs because when I called back to the store and spoke with Ray on Sunday afternoon he said someone purchased 2 after he came in. My problem with all of this is the lies and total lack of customer service. There were 2 canisters but then only one made it to the floor. There were 4 mugs and only 2 made available to purchase at opening. Someone is hiding product and playing games. Ray was so very rude and in the end told me I could shop at any other store in the Atlanta area, there were several to choose from. I was appalled. I will never return to this store. Not to mention, I live 45 mins away and drove there 3 times this weekend hoping to find that particular canister. The rude comments and lack of customer service shown to me was over the top. I was very respectful when approaching the employees and the managers and had it been any other piece of inventory, they would have been happy to bring it out to me. But they hear the word Rae Dunn and their attitude changes. I am not the enemy. I am here to purchase product just like every other customer. Thank you for your time.
