Home Depot renting lawn mower

I rented a lawn mower from the store and the first time it was a very pleasant experience. The second time was not a pleasant experience at all. We rented a lawn mower and the next day we were 30 minutes late and charged a late fee which is fine.My husband had to stand in line before he could turn his lawnmower in and he got charged for standing in line. That added to our late fee which is very unfair.I have no complaints against the manager of this store at all. It is his employees that I have a problem with. They were not nice to my husband at all.I'm guessing because he was late on bringing the lawn mower back. He has a job and he could not leave right at the time he needed to leave to return the lawn mower by the designated time.I had called ahead and let them know that he was going to be late so that they would not think that he was trying to take the lawn mower. These employees that work in the rental department are not nice at all. They were not nice the first time we came either. But the manager was nice the first time we rented the mower and we appreciated him very much. He was not there the second time that we rented the mower.

Home Depot flooring and kitchen design/installation/delivery

Update: I am still waiting on a delivery refund of $161 - because Home Depot needs to "work with their IT department" to get something situated inside of their archaic computer system so that the full refund we deserve can be given. Great to know customers have to wait on an IT system to receive a refund. At least something is being done and we can *hope* a refund is on the way. Will update review when the full refund has come through.

Horrific experience with this store's flooring delivery and pickup subcontractors. We were charged $2, 000 and promised a flooring installation. All of the materials were dropped off by HD's flooring delivery subcontractors. Two weeks later, they were supposed to install the floor. This is weeks *after* the full measure was done - which should have obviously addressed if the floor was not level. The installer shows up and says he can't do the job because "the floor is not level." When he put the level down on the floor to show my husband, the bubble was in the middle. So, clearly, this guy just didn't want to do the job. Additionally, he groaned when he saw our (standard) wall radiator, and said that would be another issue preventing the installation. It made absolutely no sense, and was clearly an attempt by him to get out of the job. For whatever reason - maybe he doesn't like getting paid.

Throughout this whole time, Home Depot continues to hold our full refund amount. At first, they were holding $1800 of our refund because they couldn't figure out how to get someone to our place to pick up our materials, after the job could not be done. The first time a pickup was scheduled, we waited all day - 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. - and no one from HD showed up. The second time, the delivery person waited less than 15 minutes when I was outside taking my dog out in the morning, and left. Now, we are waiting for almost a week to receive a $161 refund for delivery - something that Home Depot wanted to charge us *even though* it was obviously their responsibility that they did not check if the floor was level *before* dropping off tons of flooring supplies.

Finally, let's talk about the kitchen remodeling department. We had a great designer that we originally worked with to start a kitchen remodel. However, he had to move stores. We then were transferred to work with Kurt, another kitchen designer. Kurt was less than helpful every step of the way. He first gave us an incorrect quote - almost double the quote that our former designer gave us - even though nothing had changed in the plan for the remodel. He simply didn't understand the work that the previous designer did, and all the effort he put in, and didn't care to learn. We completely had to let the project drop because we do not trust Home Depot anymore - not for *anything.* I can imagine a lot of floor-level staff hate their jobs because of the crappy company they work for, but it's amazing because the floor-level employees are usually very helpful. It's the managers and specialty department people who are the incompetent (and rude) professionals.

Needless to say, this store blows. I will never even buy a paper towel roll from this store again and will highly discourage anyone I know from shopping here.

Home Depot store manager lawanda/corporate customer service

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my most recent experience with my local Home Depot store located at 901 East Broad Street, Fuquay Varina, NC. On July 24, 2019 I ordered the GE 7.4 cu. ft. 120 Volt White Gas Vented dryer, and the GE 5.0 cu. ft High- efficiency White Top Load Washing machine. I spent a total of $1, 443.59, and had the items delivered on June 29, 2019. I used the washing machine two times; once on June 30, and again on July 1st. I did not use the machine again until I attempted to use in on the evening of July 4th, which is when I discovered that the washing machine would not power on. I tried multiple trouble shooting strategies, but the machine still would not power on. I called my local Home Depot store, and the associate in the appliance department told me I needed to contact GE directly. I had to wait until the following day to do so because of the holiday. I called GE on the morning of July 5th, and spent about 25 minutes on hold waiting to speak to someone. When my call was finally answered, the employee told me that I needed to speak with my local Home Depot, since the order was placed in less than 30 days. I called Home Depot again, and spoke to an associate about my issues. She told me that the store manager Lawanda, was not available, but she would explain my situation and have her call me within a few minutes. I ended up waiting over 2 hours but did not receive a call back, so I packed my two young children in the car and drove to my local store to speak with her in person. When I met with Lawanda, I explained my situation, and expressed my dissatisfaction that my BRAND NEW machine stopped working after a few days. I explained that I rely on my washing machine, and I did not feel comfortable keeping this particular unit because if it broke after a few days of ownership, there is obviously something wrong with the machine, and I wanted it replaced with a new unit. Lawanda rudely exclaimed that this was not an option, and that I would have to wait to have a service tech come out to my house to attempt to repair the machine. Then, she condescendingly remarked to the employee that she should make the service call for me so I was not "inconvenienced" in any way. This entire ordeal was an inconvenience, and I am very capable of making a simple phone call on my own! I expected the manager to attempt to resolve my issue in person, instead of dismissing me like I was the inconvenience! I ended up leaving the store more frustrated, and with no answers. My service call was scheduled for three days later, Monday July 8 between 8am and 5pm. I had to stay in my house the entire day waiting for this service tech, and let my evening job know there was a chance I would not make it to work in case the tech showed up late. Again, very inconvenient! The tech came around 1:45, and within five minutes he was able to inform me that my washing machine's main computer was fried, and a replacement part would not be available until September 11th! As soon as he left, I called corporate to attempt to arrange for a return and refund of both units, because at this point my trust in the quality of Home Depot's merchandise and the way customer service has neglected to acknowledge the hassle this has caused me as a consumer was enough for me to decide to take my business elsewhere. This phone call, from beginning to end, lasted OVER AN HOUR...even though I had a case number. I was passed from person to person, and placed on hold for extremely long amounts of time, and each person I spoke to was more rude than the last! No one seemed to have any answers, and their only solution was to put me back on hold! After an hour, I ended up being connected with the original source of my dissatisfaction: Lawanda! I was so fed up because I knew I would get no where with her, plus, I needed to leave for work, so I chose to end the call. My husband called her later on in the afternoon, and she told him she refused to give us a refund. But when he told her he'd continue to call corporate until our money was refunded, she told him she'd "see what she could do" and would call him the next day. This brings us to July 9th. I waited most of the day for some kind of communication about this situation. NOTHING. In the meantime, I had a laundry room with a useless washing machine, a bank account $1400.00 less, and two weeks of a family of four's laundry that needed to be done. Off to the laundromat I went..spending MORE of my hard earned money and time all because of Home Depot's lack of customer service. I attempted one more phone call to corporate, in which I rightfully lost my temper after being placed on hold and passed on to two different people, only to be passed back to the infamous Lawanda, who put me back on hold and told me she would finally have my machines picked up in another WEEK, and made it clear I'd only get my refund after the machines were returned. She offered not ONE apology, not one ounce of compassion, remorse, or professionalism in her position as my home store's manager. I have never in all my years been treated this horribly by a major company. I will NEVER spend another dime on one of your stores, and I will continue to blast this experience all over every single social media resource that I can so I could encourage any ignorant consumer to not fall victim to your blatant lack of customer care. You, Home Depot, should be ashamed of letting your employees function daily whilst treating customers in this horrific way. A simple apology, assurance that the consumers needs will be met. and a little bit of politeness is all it would take to make a customer like me satisfied. Instead, I am angry, frustrated, and will do everything in my power to convince everyone to choose a different store other than yours. I suggest you invest in some employee training in basic customer service skills. Because every single person I spoke to that works for you is severely lacking.

Home Depot impact french doors installed in my house

I had impact windows and doors installed in my house in December 2018. In June 2019, the french doors started leaking when a strong rain came. These are supposed to be hurricane doors, NOT STRONG RAIN DOORS. What would have happened if a hurricane came?! I called RIchard, a home depot contractor, and he found a crack in concrete where the doors were installed. It was an INSTALLATION PROBLEM. He fixed the leak but now I have water damage all the way around the inside of my NEW HURRICANE IMPACT DOORS! NOT TO MENTION A HOLE IN MY CEILING where the water damage is. I reached out to Richard and no response. I reached out to my sales rep, who called it in, and almost a week later, I have heard nothing! It is SOOOO ridiculous that I spent THOUSANDS of dollars and 6 months later, I am still dealing with this [censored]. If I could have them come take them back out and give me all my money back, I would do it. SOO DISAPPOINTED that they hire incompetent contractors that CANNOT FINISH A JOB CORRECTLY. Then everyone blames everyone else and no one knows how to take responsibility. I will never go through Home Depot again for a big job. SO INCOMPETENT.

Home Depot door locks

I've had the misfortune of being the recipient of the incompetence of Awilda in Customer service twice this week and requested to file a complaint with Dee the manager who insisted that she would not file the complaint and advised me to do so online
Unfortunately Awilda has not yet figured out how to do her job for online pick up or how to submit a return ultimately becoming rude and blaming the customer for her incompetence, removing the costumer and the items from her station without a word
I've been renovating homes for more than ten years and have made well over $50, 000 in purchases at the sunrise location on university drive with great service
Good bye Home Depot

Home Depot ada and terrible service.

On 6/27/2019 I entered store in corvallis or. I am normally in a wheelchair but recently able to walk a little. My plan that night was to hop in store scooter. Upon arriving at front of store that every aisle 20 foot from front of store was blocked with inventory stack blocking all aisle ways. So scooter was working but not accessable to store. I decided to walk. I needed something from garden area. Most aisles were completly blocked. I was looking for help to get things. Not one employee would help me. Attitude was horrible. This has been going on for over 3 years. I vowed after a horrible experience of humilation in my wheelchair never ever go back to corvallis store again (3 years ago and started coming back this spring).in corvallis we have older buildings which is harder to comply with ada but the retail employees in corvallis always help and rise above so it works. There are 2 facebook groups for disabled (local) that I belong to that are disabled advocacy groups. Home depot especially in corvallis oregon is one of the biggest offenders. Upon checkout as I could no longer walk I checked out and asked if someone could please help me load bark (10 bags). Checkout employee was rude an just didnt want to bother. Twice I had to go back and ask for help since I already paid and was too far to walk for for me to service desk! I was given rolling eyes and such an attitude that I was in tears. I had no choice but to haul bark bags. I am not supposed to lift more that 5 lbs but was so humilated that I loaded those bags. Still not one employee came out to help.in fact when some employees came out I was given backlash and was blamed for it wow. I am paying the price today and laid up for next two days.. I was out of breath and realized I should not have lifted those bags. Usually I have no problems since some employees know me but none were on duty. Between being blocked out, fire codes, ada violations, and really a hate for disabled people in corvallis store. It is the same managment as 3 years ago. Its clear that nothing is discussed or even offered to new employees about ada etc. Walmart in corvallis also hires employees to train for other store and empowers there staff to immediatly offer help to seniors and disabled. It shows in walmart in corvallis how much satisfaction that employees get out of helping and actually seeing me getting better. Although you have some amazing employees that have done the right thing you continue to ignore any ada and continues to discriminate against disabled customers in corvallis store. There have been so many pictures and complaints on facebook that we may start a protest and media blitz to inform community about these dangerous and humiliating experiences in corvallis store. I have talked to management a few times and nothing changes. Yes its a hard job but the attitudes that are allowed there are unacceptable. I would expect some communicaton back to know if this will be adressed. Its clear it has never been communicated to staff. Although I have had some really amazing customer service by a few employees the majority of your staff run from disabled like were some freaks. Of course a protest is always time consuming it feels like its needed to inform corvallis community of these horrible practice in your corvallis store. We feel that is the managment and improper training and focus on ada or even a senior who needs help. I took pictures of blocked aisles and how there was no way for any disabled people to enter beyond 20 feet of store. I have decided not to share pictures with home depot at this time as they have been ignored by manager in past. If there had been a fire how would I get out as I have to walk slow? I would like you to communcate this with corvallis store and somehow change this practice that has continued for years. Same manager same training.in this day in age especially in corvallis this is unacceptable practice and has been cemented into culture of home depot of corvallis oregon. I would expect a change in practice and at least a sincere apology with action. My personal opinion (I had a neighbor who worked seasonal and after I told him what happened 3 years ago he stated the manager is why he quit!) I refuse to release my pictures of last night fiasco as a potential protest and manager will just bury it forever as in past. It is awful to think there is a home depot in under 2 miles but will have to go to albany lowes for my future needs (30 min and over 10 miles). I am only able to go go out once or twice a week. It will be worth it to avoid any further humilation as a person who is disabled. Why bother? I am a retired rn ad have been an activist since 1981. Although time consuming a protest is easily achieved. Feel free to contact me at [protected]@aol.com or [protected] thank you james coe

Home Depot service from an associate in 7074

I went to the store # 7074 and wanted to purchase 21 Fire Pit Blocks. I had a cart to load the blocks and went into the Seasonal Outdoor Dept. to load the blocks. I saw an Associate named Tim and asked him where the blocks were located and he pointed and told me which Isle they were located. I asked if he could help me load the blocks when he had a moment. I then proceeded to the block area and started loading the blocks. Tim Did Not show up to help me. Their were 23 blocks left on the Pallet and I took 21 of them. 2 of the blocks were a different Shade Color Wise and I saw a Full Pallet Above that were the same Shade as the ones that I wanted. I went to the Cashier and paid for the Blocks, she was Very Friendly and helpful and I asked that she get a Lot Attendant to help me load the blocks into my Trailer and for her to call a Fork Lift Driver to get down the New Pallet of Blocks so that I could get 2 of the blocks of the same shade color wise. She did this and a Lot attendant helped load the blocks into my trailer. We left the 2 blocks on the cart that needed to be exchanged for new ones and went back to the Seasonal Dept. and Tim was not there so I walked into the Store looking for help to get the New Pallet down so that I could get the 2 Blocks that I needed. I saw Tim in the Indoor Store Area and called out his Name and he ignored me and walked away from me. Just then Brad from Pluming saw me and asked if he could help me and I told him that I needed to get 2 more blocks down from up above the home for the blocks. I told Brad that Tim did not want to help me and Brad called out to Tim and he just kept walking away from us. Brad said he would help me and he did. As Brad and I were walking towards the Block Area a Fork Lift Driver showed up and he and Brad talked, Brad was a Fork Lift Driver too. Brad went and got a Fork Lift with the other Associate and then the other associate went looking for Gates to block off the Isles as they needed 2 more gates as 2 were already there. Brad the took it upon his self the move the Pallet on the ground in the home for the blocks and got a broom and swept the mess up where the pallet was while waiting for the associate to locate 2 more gates. The associate returned with 2 gates and blocked off the isle so Brad could do the lift and bring down the new pallet of blocks. He did so and we exchanged the 2 blocks for new ones. I Thanked Brad for his help and his co-worker as well. Brad then asked if he could help me load the 2 New Blocks but I said that I could manage that. I headed to the cash and showed the cashier that I got the 2 blocks exchanged for new ones. She asked if I needed help to load the new blocks but I said that I was OK. She Thanked me for shopping at the Home Depot and I was on my way to my trailer. Tim was Terrible at Helping me but Brad and the others were Great. Mr. Brown.

Home Depot hampton bay swivel patio chair

Once again! Our Hampton Bay swivel rocker patio chair broke at the base! My husband is not a big man, only weighing 175-180 lbs, and he sat in the chair and fell backwards onto our concrete patio! This happened LAST summer as well! Company sent a replacement... it took about 7 months to finally get it though! Finally summer arrived in upstate NY and we brought the furniture back out, put new base on the chair that broke last year. And tonight, BAM! Happened again! This is such a safety hazard and I think something needs to be done! My 81 yr old mother (who weighs 90 lbs soaking wet) was sitting in that same chair the other day! What if chair broke when she was in it? Hampton Bay should have a recall on these chairs and replace everyone's chairs ! How can we get this to happen!

Home Depot service

While being waited on by employee in lumber department he took three phone calls from customers that called in for information.
I feel that the person that drove to the store should have priority over those that call in for information. Although the employee did put the first customer on hold I felt very pressured because I had a few questions I needed answers to regarding composite decking. I did tell him to finish up the call so that I would feel more relaxed. His phone rang two more times by customers calling in. I then gave up and took my business across the street to Lowes where I received one on one service with no interruptions. Employee from Lowes had full knowledge of the product and even printed me out all of the information and pricing that I needed. I will make my purchase for all of my deck project from Lowes.

Home Depot worst customer service in plumbing dept

I was looking for some bathroom materials in the Plumbing Department this morning at 11:00 am at the above address but there was nobody to assist me. I asked another employee to get me the guy manning the Plumbing Dept. and a male white male with a small beard came after about 15 minutes. H e was a night mare. H e did not even greet me rt chat but demanded what I was looking for. I tried to explain the items I was looking for and he simply pointed at the shelves and said, " You can find everything there" I asked him where exactly because I could not find the items and he just walked away.

I wish I had got his name but I wasn't expecting such rudeness by an employee. This job is not for him and I guarantee you that if I see him again I will approach him and report to the manager. This is the worst service I have had in the past 14 years I have lived in Keller, TX. and the worst I have had at this store. There was my buddy Billy at same store and miss that cheerful dude.

Home Depot home depot service provider-ars rescue rooter hvac

Home Depot preferred contractor ARS Rescue Rooter is by far the shadiest air conditioning company in Florida and Home Depot should be ashamed to even be associated with them. I wish I had read the reviews before I contracted them. Memorial Day weekend my AC went out in Florida. They made an appointment and failed to show up and when they finally did show up they charged$10, 000 for a two and a half ton carrier package unit for a mobile home. They did a partial installation and promised to return the next day but did not show up. Failed to show up for the next four days despite making an appointment and my taking off of work to be here and after the 4th day the air conditioner quit working. It took two days for them to come out to get some air blowing and again we were promised this time by the district manager Charlie that it would be completed before the end of business on that day. It was not nor was it completed the next day or the next day or the day after that and after five days we decided that we did not want to do business and asked them to come and remove the unit so we could get another contractor in the door. Despite my contact with their corporate location there is no accountability for what happened next. They sent an employee to remove the air conditioner off of my property and informed me that they had already been paid by greensky financing and it would be at least three weeks before they would "get around" to returning the money to the finance company and sense we had just gotten credit we were not able to request further financing from anyone until that account was settled. So once again I contacted corporate where I was informed that there only duty was to make sure that the unit had been picked up and that any further communication must be done to the local office where I was told they did not care that myself my child or any of the dogs that live with me had air conditioning or not. Read the reviews Home Depot. How can you allow your name to be associated with this shady business? Home Depot has always been a name I trusted but this experience has me driving past your store and going to Lowe's from now on

Home Depot military discount

I have a concern regarding your corporate policy for veteran discounts. Recently I ask for a Military Discount and was refused because my military credentials were not acceptable. I am a retired verteran, served in the Viet Nam era and had a DD 214 form to verify my claim. Wasn't good enough according to your Corp. policy. So I submitted same for to the DMV and had verteran status flad added to my DL. Tried again to get a discount with your Westerly, RI, store. Nope; so Idecided not to patronize Home Depo any further and spread the word with other veteran collegues. Will now do my business with Lowe's. Too bad Home Depot is not so understanding. Thanks for letting me vent. Dr. George B Wingblade, [protected]@sbcglobal.net

Home Depot online order for a appliance that was on back order

June 5 ordered a dishwasher online. The order gave a June 22 delivery date. Had to change to June24. No where did it advise me the item was on back order. Called to get a delivery status. Customer service gave me 800 number for the delivery service. Delivery service gave me number of the manufacturer. Manufacturer advised to call back to HomeDepot. Back to Customer service and the Rep called the manufacturer. She explained the website showed 2 items in stock. But that model had been on back order since early April. She canceled the order but I have to go to my local store to get the money put back on my gift card and HomeDepot credit card. Very dissatisfied with the online ordering system.

Home Depot shipment/delivery

I ordered a washer and dryer at the Newark CA Home Depot on June 7, 2019. A delivery date of June 12 was promised. On June 12 my shipment was cancelled because the appliance was damaged during delivery from the vendor. On June 17 I called and no replacement was ordered. On June 19 I called and still no delivery update.

Home Depot failed to notify the vendor of the replacement on June 12 after knowing that I needed a replacement. When I requested expedite delivery, they told me I needed to contact the vendor directly. I called the vendor directly and the couldn't tell me when the appliance could be delivered.

It has been 12 days and I have not heard back regarding delivery. I paid for the appliance with the promise that it would be delivered within 72 hours. This is unacceptable. I will not ship at Home Depot again. There is no regards to customer service and lack urgency with customer needs.

I purchased a refrigerator and was promised a June 14 delivery. It was delivered, but with two dents in the freezer door. The delivery guy said he would order a new door and put it on...THEN he handed me another customer's paperwork! Not trusting his word, I called Home Depot and learned his statement was totally bogus, and that doors aren't replaced, but I could get a refrigerator replacement and it was promised June 21. I took ANOTHER day off work, and started calling two days prior to ensure my delivery was to be made. I was assured that it would come on Friday. TODAY, June 21, after having to call four times, I learned that my refrigerator "didn't make the truck" at Daryl Flood Logistics, and that the soonest they could get it to me would be June 28. SO, for one refrigerator--three days off work. No one takes responsibility...every call I make, the finger is pointed at someone else. It will be the LAST time I purchase any deliverable item from Home Depot, and I'm making upgrades to my home.

Home Depot pick up order

Order not ready in 3 days! In store merchandise! The ship in stuff was ready, but this is my second bad experience and I will NOT do this again. My first pick up took well over an hour + 2 trips to the store. Second only took 20 minutes for the refund...I learned how to save time...go somewhere else to spend my money!

No need to resolve this one...I'll NEVER go back to Home Depot.

Home Depot customer service at service desk

Empmoyee provided me with false information about my online order and getting it refunded and was very rude the whole time. He didn't get my refund and I call the next day due to an email I received and call the same location and the employee who answered was even more rude and must have thought I was put on hold and couldn't hear him but I could hear profanities coming from him talking to another employee I believe. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

Home Depot customer service (check out/ordering)

201 road to six flags Arlington, Texas
Considering the extreme wait in line at the Pro Desk pricing is offset especially when the craftsman is paid for waiting on material that has been pulled from stock. One is lucky to get pricing if at all for special orders even when a sample is provided.
Home Depot once was my "go to" supplier now they on my "no go" list.
