Home Depot home depot installation fraud! beware!!!

I purchased a regerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher .. paid extra for installation and haul away. They delivered but had to return the next day to install and then never installed refrigerator or stove. I've been trying to get the issue resolved for two weeks. Local store in Waldorf Maryland manager Carlos never responded. Then contacted supervisor Tasha from Atlanta corporate office who was rude and then informed me that I (the wife) was a third party and unable to help me. In addition she informed me that Carlos or someone from management team already called my husband and settled the matter ... more lies. The tactics they use to give unacceptable customer care- transfer you endlessly from department to department till you ears fall alsleep or get someone from customer care who lies to you ... and just hope you disappear. Shame on you Home Depot... hope each of you has to encounter substandard customer care in all you do. No integrity, ethics... never going back

Home Depot purchased a new washer

My wife ordered a new appliance for our rental property from Home Depot and paid extra to have it delivered and installed. First off, the delivery company was absolutely terrible to deal with. The name of the company is Fed Guy and they are located in the Ottawa area. The delivery company was suppose to call us the day before to confirm the delivery and give us a time frame of when we can meet them at the house. They never called so we missed the delivery and had to reschedule. When rescheduling, Home Depot and the delivery company were not on the same page at all. When the washer was finally delivered, the delivery guy used channel locks on the new hose and stripped the fittings on the back of the new washer so the washer leaks from the connection. The delivery guy then told me wife that she had bought the wrong hoses and that's what is causing the leaking and then left. I called Depot that day to complain. The girl said she would have a manager call me back within 48 hours. Two days later I have not received a phone call so I called them myself. I have now been on hold for 40 minutes and counting because the guy on the phone said he could find my order or case # and would get me in touch with a manager. This has been the worst customer experience I have received other than Bell.

Home Depot misinstalled dryer

Installed July 7, 2017.
H1978-24146
Never have I ever come across such poor customer service. We have purchased many goods for our new home from your store. On June 24, 2017 we purchased a dryer to be installed on July 7, 2017 in our new home. We were told we had "all we needed" and the team would come for delivery and installation - nothing else needed. They came and installed, but it was done without any connector hose. The delivery team only placed the two exhausts together and left. We had no idea this occurred until now, when there has been lint and water buildup around the floor and walls. The dryer was not drying properly due to the venting not being properly connected. When I called to report installation mishap, I was told I need to go BACK into the store, purchase the hose, and sign up for another installation (which would be about a week out). At this point I had been sold incorrect supplies, installation was not up to code, and NOW I was being told to go into the store and fix both problems myself. The person on the phone said she was unable to assist me in booking for an installation and couldn't do anything further. It was my responsibility to go and report to a customer service desk. So the next morning (today) I went to a store. I was then told by customer service I "should be grateful they even installed it at all" and they could do nothing since it was purchased from a different Home Depot than where I had gone that morning. I can honestly say I don't know if I will ever be able to go forward with another Home Depot purchase. I've bought appliances, all of my custom home shades, multiple gardening tools... and I believe at this point I will have to take my business elsewhere. I had to buy the tubing and was told earliest someone could come was the end of the week. I'm at home by myself with 3 kids and now I find myself fixing the installation I paid for that was done incorrectly which could have potentially caused a fire and further home damage. And not one bit of helpfulness from your end, only attitude and poor service. You need to coach your customer service staff about courtesy to paying patrons and customer rights. With today's social media, you really need to be aware of how poor installation, careless family endangerment, and failed customer service can seriously affect your reputation.

Home Depot 7x7 outdoor storage shed

Order Date 7/6/2017
Order number C619246266
3 missed deliveries - 2 days off of work and a missed Saturday delivery
Carrier - Estes Express Lines - tracking number [protected]

Estes now says they have no idea where the product is and wants us to call the manufacturer and give them their contact info and for them to call Estes?

Quite the disaster - I have probably wasted 30 hours waiting for deliveries and multiple conversations with Estes (typically 20+ minutes to be picked up)

I am now on hold with Home Depot customer care - they are calling Estes. This call is now at 35 minutes

When I asked the Home Depot Rep to just call me back so I don't have to sit on hold yet again she informed me she was at an inbound call center and couldn't call me back - again not good service.

Ideally I would just like a full refund and a store credit for all the wasted time.

Please call me if you need more details.

Home Depot washer & dryer

My 75 year old mother's washing machine broke on July 21, 2017. Since my mother doesn't drive and my father passed away two years ago-I more than felt obligated to help find her a new one. My daughter and I drove to pick her up and to go shopping for a new one. After looking at Lowes and Home Depot she liked the GE one at Home Depot plus it had free delivery. She purchased a new dryer as well to match plus purchased the hoses, so they could connect and do everything and haul off the old washer. She was given a delivery date for both machines for July 28, 2017. She was called 3x's on that Thursday confirming her delivery for Friday. On Friday morning she gets a call saying her dryer was damaged and would arrive at a later date, had to be reordered. After waiting on her washing machine during the time it was suppose to come and didn't, she called-was told warehouse manager decided to wait on delivery until dryer came in. She was upset because she desperately needed a washer! She called the number back explaining she had been waiting on her machines for a week and could they go ahead and deliver the washer. They told her not before Monday on the washer. My mother calls me and is upset, I told her I would handle it. I called the local store in Newnan, Georgia that she purchased it from to speak to management about the problem with delivery/warehouse issues. She took my information and said she would check on order, she took my name and said she would call me back. I told her if the issue couldn't be resolved today that we wanted a refund and would go back to Lowes. The washer should have been delivered regardless of the dryer problem. After two hours nearly, no return call! I called and was discounted "3" times while trying to talk to this manager. Finally got a complete conversation and her response was, he was suppose to call you and let you know the credit card was refunded. I don't know who he was but I let her know that no one had called me. Rushed to get off the phone with me she said its credited- not one apology or anything! I told her my salesman was absolutely wonderful which made me want to come back to Home Depot but the delivery/warehouse experience, no thanks! She cut me off and said thanks? We went across the street to Lowes that night and purchased a May tag washer/dryer-bigger machine and great deal. Well credit card today is still not credited and my mother calls and says Home Depot showed up with machines today 😳 My mother told them the order had been cancelled and she had gotten new machines elsewhere. This order was canceled Friday and also went in store Saturday and got receipt confirming it! 🙄 Between manager, warehouse, and delivery- I would say this store has major issues!

Home Depot multiple rescheduling of fridge delivery without notifying me

Home Depot has rescheduled my fridge delivery three times without notifying me. Today I was told delivery between 8am and 11am. No fridge at 2:00pm. I called. It had been rescheduled for Monday. Asked for supervisor. Told she would call in five minutes. No call. Called an hour later. Told she would call in half hour. Nope. Her name is Sarah Stokes.

The Home Depot in Lindon, Utah was supposed to deliver a fridge on a Monday, which was rescheduled to Friday. No fridge was delivered on Friday. I called their local number prior to closing at 7pm that night. No one answered and the voice messaging mailbox was full, so I could leave no message.

I called them at 7:05 am this morning, a Saturday, to make sure the fridge was delivered today. No one answered. I called the Home Depot national number and a very kind woman answered and tried calling the local Home Depot as well in order to resolve the problem. She was not able to get through.

She told me she would keep redialing until she got a response. The delivery time was eventually made and scheduled between 8:00am and 11:00am.

It is 2:00pm and no fridge has been delivered.

I called the local number and hour ago and was told delivery had been rescheduled for Monday. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold for ten minutes. So I hung up and called back.

I was told they were just about to call me back to tell me the supervisor, Sarah Stokes, would call me in a matter of minutes. It has been an hour. I called back and was told she was no longer available. They would not give me her number. Only her email. I was told she would call me in 1/2 hour.

I have been without a fridge for over a week. This is completely unacceptable.

Home Depot roof

In April of 2014, I had my roof replaced on my home as well as my adjoining cottage. There is a flat roof section which was replaced, deemed faulty and replaced again. Now it's July of 2017 and the second flat roof they replaced was installed incorrectly and traps water which then runs into the ceiling of my front porch. Now the front porch roof has water damage. I also expect the front porch ceiling to be replaced. I'm sure the water damage is is more significant inside. That roof needs to be replaced because of extremely poor workmanship. This has been a very frustrating exercise trying to get them back to fix it yet again. I luckily have photos from before they began to document the poor workmanship. I have persistently called several people to remedy the situation since 2014. I have dealt with at least 5 different representatives from Home Depot and nothing has been accomplished. This roof cost a considerable amount of money and I expect a legitimate response and action, not a patronizing one.

Thank you in advance for your prompt response.

Home Depot carpet installation that was late and lost

I went into the Home Depot store on Southside of Des Moines, IA and found the program of order carpet and install and quote within 5 days. I picked out the carpet in that section and to start the clerk wrote the wrong number on the account so I had to call back about the measurer coming out to my house.
I ordered the next day and paid in full of over $2500 dollars, we scheduled for this to be done on July 5, 2017 and got a call on July 3rd that the company delivered and lost my carpet. I had to reschedule and take another day off of work to have this mishap and accommodation done for Home Depot on my dime.

The carpet finally got installed and I went a week without a call back to make sure I was satisfied as that was the agreement since they were outside their promotion of that carpet and I heard nothing again. I called and spoke with the manager Randy and all he offered was $150 gift card since he said wasn't his problem of the 3rd party labor and not the carpet. I agreed under the stipulation that I was going to get call back on July 24 but I didn't hear back again. I called today the 28th and was told to do this.

Home Depot samsung over the range microsave

Just had appliances delivered, over the range microwave had no owners manual. Called customer service if you want to call it that. Explained no manual, placed on hold for a very long time. Leigh tells me that she spoke with her leaders and I can just go online and download. I told her no, I want a hardcopy and had she reached out to Samsung. Placed on hold again, longer than the first time, she comes back to tell me that if Samsung orders a manual, they will charge me $8-$10. Really! The manual wasn't in the box and they are going to charge me? I told her they can just come get the microwave. In the last two weeks, we've spent $2, 000 on appliances, . It's the principle of the thing. After 45 minutes on the phone, I'm told they can't go around Samsung. Home Depot and Samsung---you just lost a customer. Plan was to buy a washer and dryer, guess we're going to Lowe's.

Home Depot refrigerator and range purchase on [protected]

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator and range from Home Depot @ 877 E. 200 ST in Euclid Ohio 44119 on June 22, 2017. The items weren't delivered until July 5, 2017, when they were delivered the refrigerator was damaged and later realized the range was not all black as I requested (was partially stainless steel). I refused to accept the refrigerator and was told I'd have to speak to someone at the store regarding the range.
I spoke to Kenya at the store and was told another refrigerator would be delivered on July 13, 2017 and the range would also be retrieved the same day but, I'd have to wait until I'm reimbursed to reorder the range. I then decided if I have to start over then I'd like to cancel the entire order (No. H3852-29654) because I was now interested in a larger refrigerator but, was told I'd have contact the delivery company to stop delivery of the fridge. The delivery company of course told me I'd have to contact Home Depot.
On July 13, 2017 the range was retrieved and I again refused delivery of the refrigerator. On July 15, 2017 I was reimbursed $500.02 for the range according to the store but, have yet to be reimbursed for the refrigerator. I have visited the store several times in an attempt to resolve this matter but, quite often no one is even assigned to the appliance department and customer service will only tell you to go speak to someone in appliances.
This has become very frustrating, any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Home Depot lack of stock/customer service number

Went to The Sherman H/D yesterday (7/26/2017) to purchase some 1/2" blue pex line. Only one roll in view, needed three. Associate finally showed me several rolls on the top shelf (12' high). Tonight, back again, noticed the bottom blue pex was still empty, all the rest, still 12' high. However, that's what I wasn't seeking tonight. I needed ceiling boxes in electrical. Again, only 4 boxes. I personally had to roll the 12' step ladder to the isle to try and retrieve what I thought may be what I needed. Associates were few and far between. Not that they weren't helping, just not a lot in store. Moving on to the pex crimpers I needed. Again, none in stock. Associate's scanner shows 4 in stock. I even checked the web site for 75090 store and it showed 7 in stock, but none on the shelves and none could be found. I head to Lowe's.
Moving on to your customer service phone number/line. My credit card stopped payment of $600, just routine because I was spending a lot at H/D. I call and verify my purchase's. Then I call H/D to verify the purchase went thru. I wasted 10 minutes listening to a computer telling me to press 2. It took two phone calls. If H/D would like to see what real customer service is, contact Cabela's. They actually have real people who speak English, and are so friendly. Unfortutanlty I'm going to stop at another H/D in Weatherford, Tx and hope they have one of the 10 pex crimpers that show in their stock. As much money as I've spent lately at H/D, its a shame people have to deal with such poor service.

Home Depot service warranty

I have a serious issue with Home Depot and Home Depot's extended warranty company.
Last Thursday night, July 20th, our refrigerator stopped working. Friday morning my husband called the extended warranty number which was on the paperwork from the sale of the refrigerator. His call was transferred 7 times before he was able to talk to someone regarding the issue we were having. The representative said that she would not be able to get anyone out to look at the refrigerator until the following Wednesday, July 26th. My husband asked what we were supposed to do with all of our food and the response was, "Well that is why the warranty provides a $300.00 lost food provision". First of all, we had more than $300.00 worth of food in the refrigerator and freezer, secondly that is a totally unacceptable answer! The representative said she was sorry but there was nothing she could do.
My husband took the paperwork and went up to the Home Depot where we bought the refrigerator and talked to a manager there, who politely said he was sorry, but there was nothing he could do either. So we will sit here and wait for the service person to show up on Wednesday at who knows what time.
I can tell you right now that we will never buy another appliance or warranty from Home Depot, as a matter of fact, we will never step foot in another Home Depot. You have lost our business for good! I have informed all of my family and friends about this situation as well. It will be up to them if they want to suffer the consequences of dealing with Home Depot and their affiliates.

Home Depot military veteran discount.

My recommendation has to do with Home Depot's military veteran discount.

I’m a Vietnam veteran who served my country in the 70’s. Home Depot does not recognize my service with a military veteran discount. However, Lowe's honors my service to my country by offering a10% discount on all my purchases year-round. Online I see many other military veterans saying they are choosing to purchase their home building materials at Lowe’s rather than Home Depot. There is a huge pool of military veterans who don’t qualify for a military discount under your guidelines. In the past I preferred to do my shopping at Home Depot, but now, like these other veterans, I go to Lowe’s.

I’d appreciate hearing back from you about your policy and my recommendation. Thank you.

Home Depot floor installation

We ordered flooring from Home Depot in Mahwah, NJ. We needed to have it installed. The authorized provider that Home Depot used is horrendous.
They called once the measurements were done to schedule the appointment. The earliest date was three weeks but scheduled 2 days to assure completion. The two days scheduled were 7/25 & 7/26. I was told to call sooner to see if there were any cancellations. I did and was told there were no cancellations and my appointment was for 7/25/17 & 7/26/17.
Today is 7/25/17 and when I called this morning to verify the time they would arrive I was told there was no schedule for today, only for 7/26/17. When I told the person on the other line that it was not acceptable I need to have the installation completed by 7/26/17 he said there was nothing he could do. I later found out that someone called out sick leaving us with no installation today. I now received a recorded message saying the installation company will arrive between 8:00am and 12 noon.
At this point, I hold Home Depot responsible for subcontracting to a poorly run company. My husband lost a day at work today waiting for this company to arrive. I feel we should be discounted for at least part of the installation fee due to inferior service.

Home Depot dishwasher installation

I.bought a dish washer on July 1 2017, delivery on July 6th. The delivery guys told me that the installatiin cannot happen since the valve under the sink is corroded. Got it fixed for 100$ on July 8th. The agony of installation started after this from home depot. Even after paying for installation and following up several times..no reply from home depot or any third party for several days. The dish washer has been sitting up in my kitchen for more than 25 days. Customer service at home depot sucks big time.. don't go to home depot even if any appiances has deal..pay that extra money and sit back and relax.

Home Depot assistant manager bob

My name is vanessa espinoza i went to the 1320 eastlake parkway home depot on 7/24/2017 at about 7pm with my friend brenda. We came to purchase sod for her house but they were sold out. We continue to shop around for household items the assistant manager made a extremely rude comment to me after he had already been following me around which he was making me feel very uncomfortable. The very rude comment was "awe really all that walking around to buy nothing" and he grabbed my shopping cart and started to say he was waiting for me to steal. See i was going to exit the store to look at the hanging flower plants and i had asked the woman the register if i could leave my shopping cart there so i could look at a couple of items outside and that i would be coming back in

Home Depot ordered a shed online and was told three different times it was being delivered by an outside company, estes, and nothing

My boss posted this on social media:
******Warning******* It is my personal suggestion for what it is worth is to never make a major purchase from #HomeDepot. We ordered two sheds for our back yard. When we were given our first delivery date we dismantled our old shed and put the contents in my backyard because no rain was predicted. That date came and went with no return call from Home Depot. We then received a second delivery date which also came and went without a return call and then the rain started. We moved as much as possible to cover and finally received a call from Home Depot. We were informed that they contracted the delivery to a company called Estes Express. At this time we were given a third delivery date which BIG SURPRISE came and went without a call or delivery. We called today and spoke to Home Depot's Resolution Department. WHAT A TOTAL JOKE! We finally tracked the sheds down in Hammond Louisiana with a completely different delivery company. Sarah, with the Resolution Department, actually invited me to post my displeasure on social media. That was her best advice, post to social media like everyone else if I'm unhappy. So here it is. I have her supervisor's name but I'm not very confident that she will do much either. I urge anyone reading this to never make a large purchase with Home Depot!

Home Depot quartz countertops

In the spring of 2016 I purchased quartz countertops as a replacement in my kitchen. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to have them installed until the end of June 2016. After some other installation issues with the backsplash by MKD (Home Depot Midland MI subcontracted them to) I spoke with someone at Home Depot and expressed my dissatisfaction with the seam and the lack of proper cleanup of silicone around the edges where the backsplash met the countertop. The seam was placed in a spot that was cost effective for Home Depot & MKD, never mind that I was paying for the countertops. I complained to both companies and finally got a person from MKD back to clean up their mess. I still was not happy with the seam b/c the 2 pieces were not flush where they met. Long story short, some big wig from MKD came out to look at the seam and proceeded to tell me that it "was a beautiful seam job". That was hard for me to believe since I had countertops replaced in my previous home with out any problems and the seam was certainly not noticeable, nor could I feel where they met.
I'm saying all this to warn people not to use Midland MI Home Depot for countertops and if you do, refuse to MKD do the installation because their work is shoddy and they don't cleanup after themselves. As for me, it has been a learning experience and I will NEVER use Home Depot again for any kind of service that requires installation of one of their products (flooring, countertops, blinds, etc...) by an outside company.
