Home Depot window installation and siding installation

Two years ago we signed up with Home Depot and their 3 year credit for window and siding installation.in May someone came out (a day late and at 9 PM, there until 10:30), and it went downhill from there. A month later we got a call that they might be able to come out and install windows. I asked they call back when they had dates so I could take time off work. No return calls. Same thing happened in July, August, and Sept. No return calls. My wife contacted Home Depot approx. 20 times, and got the run around. We came to find out there were contractor issues (quitting due to better opportunities elsewhere, and Home Depot quit doing siding (which they did not bother telling us). We had to cancel painter because of this mess.

We tried again in spring of this year to get the windows installed and worked with Andy (very nice and was frustrated as well). He arranged to have the finance company to apply our original deposit of $5000 to a new finance agreement to get windows done. After waiting for an hour for approval we were told application was denied. No explanation given. We later received a letter from finance company saying we were denied due to "duplicate application" whatever that means. Andy said there was nothing further Home Depot could do and we would forfit the $5000 deposit.

This is not acceptable as this was not our fault. Home Depot did not live up to the contract as there were no reliable people to do the install. We would either like our deposit back, or for Home Depot to complete project. A lot of the problem is now with the finance company HD uses, and complaint department itself. We have 3 pages of phone attempts to get this resolved. My phone # is [protected], and name is James Niles. Home address is; 1445 Mt. Baker Hwy. Bellingham, Wa. 98226. We will go to an attorney next if this is not resolved.

Home Depot full kitchen project (creation, delivery and installation)

In the end of July 2019 while searching for a project for the kitchen remodeling in my new house, I visited Home Depot in the Northeast Philadelphia. I was introduced to their designer by the name Nick, and he created a Project which would have met my expectations. I was very encouraged, and a week later Tony, the installer, came to my house and obtained necessary measurements. The measurements turned out to be incorrect, and he returned, and performed another measurement, and it was incorrect again. That is why I refused to use Home Depo installation team and hired independent installers. Next day, on August 5, 2019 I signed a Contract and Home Depot Project Loan. I was looking for beginning and completion of my Project in excitement. Soon my encouragement and excitement began to wean off and turned into a psychological and financial nightmare.

Three weeks later the entire kitchen was delivered, but it was finished differently from the initially chosen one. Next day Home Depot came and picked up the wrong kitchen. I went to Home Depot again, and Nick, the designer explained that such design cannot be applied to the kitchen we chose together with him, and we had to change design so that the material would be consistent with initially chosen.

Three and a half week later the correct kitchen was delivered, but two corner cabinets were damaged. Besides, the installers whom I hired from outside, detected, that wall corner cabinet was missing. It was explained to me by Carol, the Manager, over the phone, that such cabinet was never ordered for any reason. She took the charge and reordered damaged cabinets and ordered the one which was not ordered to begin with. I was assured that the new shipment would take place in three weeks. Then there were delay, after delay, after delay. Finally the delivery occurred on 9th or 10th of October.

A couple of days later, the installers realized that two reordered cabinets were 3 inch less in depth and width, and the wall cabinet above the sink - 6 inch narrower, which was a mistake of a designer as per explanation by Home Depot representative.

During all this process, I have visited Home Depot and had telephone conversation with them numerous times. I sorted those people who I was dealing with into two groups: those who were incompetent, and had no clue of what was going on, and those who knew whose fault it was, but preferred to hide the truth. Lie, after lie, after lie, delay, after delay, after delay, while I had no choice but wash dishes in the bathroom, and experience other inconveniences not only for me but my whole family (imagine leaving without a kitchen for more than 2 months in 21st century).

Considering all this hardly bearable experience, I decided not to reorder wrong size components, and my installers tried to make the best of it. Nevertheless, looking at those wrong-size cabinets cause any feelings but joy.

Finally, Michelle, another manager, offered a compensation for all my misery in the amount of $500. It is a mockery and humiliation to me and my family. I refused.

The purpose of this complaint is to ensure that those incompetent people who were in charge at all the stages of completion of the Project, will never be allowed to screw up other customers' projects.

Home Depot carpet

My new carpet was installed on SEPT. 20th, 2019. On the very first day, I noticed something odd about this carpet. Over the next few days my carpet went from a beautiful shade of gray to something that looks like it has been through a tie-dye process with deep footprints everywhere.

On Sept. 25, 2019, I spoke to Mr. Cody Jennings who is Specialty Assistant Store Manager at store #1507 in Littleton CO. After seeing pictures of the carpet on my phone, he suggested that I should email them to him so he could forward them to the manufacturer as soon as possible which I did the next day.

On October 16, after receiving my following up email Mr. Jennings responded saying that a manager from the vendor would contact me within 48 hours to set up appointment for a home inspection. As it turned out nobody did.

On November 5, 2019, Mr. Frank Yates - Customer Specialist - forward an email he received from the vendor - Mr. Robert Pacheco - to me. These were his exact words: "The photo show normal wear. The carpet will show footprints and this is considered a normal characteristic of carpet and not a manufacturing defect"

May I remind you that this carpet is less than two months old. It has this characteristic on the day it was installed. This carpet has fifteen years wear warranty. If this is a normal characteristic of a carpet then why people laugh every time I show them the images of my carpet.

While I could have purchased a new carpet elsewhere, I chose Home Depot because it is a reputable corporation that I can trust. And because I assume that Home Depot offers quality products and will stand behind the products that it sells.

I'm not trying to take an advantage of Home Depot. I'm open for all suggestions. Both refund or exchange will work for me. Although the preparation of new carpet installation is not something I would want to go through again so soon but I'll if I have to. If Home Depot give me credit for what I had already paid and I'll only have to pay for the difference between the price of the old and the new one then exchange would work for me.

I'll be glad to email the pictures to anyone who wants to look at them. Or set up an appointment for a home inspection if necessary. Please let me know how I can forward the pictures to Mr. Craig Menear if this issue is beyond your control. I do have his address and phone number but not where or how I can send him pictures directly from my phone.

I truly appreciate whatever you can do to correct this problem. Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

Suong Doshier

Home Depot refrigerator and stove

I order appliances two weeks ago, the night before the delivery I received a call just to be informed that it's going to be rescheduled because they never received the appliances. I had to wait another week for it, which at this point I sold my stove and fridge. Now I dont have stove or fridge for a week. I would preciate if they call at list couple days in advance for rescheduling.. So disappointed about this. Not trusting home depot anymore.

Home Depot online advertising

Online shoppers are misled to apply for a credit card and save up to $100 on first purchase. I will upload a picture of the cart. It shows an extra $100 off on top of the current sale and rebates. I let Home Depot run a credit check, and it passed. When I used the code, the total would go up instead of down because it would remove the rebate. I called and chatted online. Finally spoke with Cindy who offered to close the account then because the $100 doesn't work with the rebates. I asked to speak to someone else and that manager said it's on the credit website. This is completely misleading and a waste of my time.

Home Depot payment not credit as bill stated

I recieved a bill that had some promotional offers on it and some interest bearing amounts also. The bill stated that I had to pay $1022 to avoid paying any interest. The billing fine print also stated that if a promotion offer didn't expire before the due date then payment would be put towards interest bearing amounts first. I paid $1200 to insure that that interest bearing was paid and some extra was put on the other balances. Turns out that they applied my payment to the promotional offer, leaving me with interest bearing amounts still. When I called to ask, they stated that it doesn't matter what the bill or fine print says, there billing hierachy applies payment to promotional if they expire within 2 months of the current bill. So even though the online payment and bill state to pay a certain amount to avoid interest, they apply it differently and you still get charged interest. Total misinformation and lying on the bill.
Avoid completely. I am paying off my bill and canceling my card.

Home Depot stove

I have had the WORST experience ever ordering a stove from Home Depot. I am a property owner / manager in Toronto and often order appliances for apartments. I thought for a change that I would try ordering a 24" white electric range for one of my units, since the product had decent reviews and was well priced.
I have been on the phone with HD as well as the delivery company they use ((Same Day Delivery) about 8 times just for this one item.
There seemed to be differing opinions depending on whom I spoke with as to whether the item could be delivered into the apartment and the old stove taken away. I was assured that both could be done. Then this changed and over the course of many holds, transfers and literally hours of my time, being wasted and my frustration growing, I was told that neither were possible. Finally, I got ahold of someone who was able to guarantee the stove could and would be delivered to the apartment (as opposed to being dropped off in front of the building), but they would not be able to take out the old appliance - fine.
The delivery happened this morning and the delivery company called 20 mins ahead of schedule to let me know they were on their way - i appreciated that.
However, when they delivered it, they just dropped off the stove in the cardboard box and left - they did not unpack it or inspect it. Lo and behold once our superintendent unboxed it he noticed right away that there was an obvious chunk of the enamel that was gouged out on the top right hand corner and also the front electric coils / burners would not fit in properly.
I have since called and asked HD to p/u this stove and I have been assured I will be fully reimbursed. They still have to have someone call me to "schedule" the p/u and that probably won't be for another week to 2 wks. In the meanwhile, I will be ordering a new stove from a more reliable company with whom I have never had any issues. That'll teach me for trying to save a few bucks!
I have never had such a horrible, maddening and time-wasting experience like this one. From start to finish (and sadly it's not finished yet) it's been a complete F&#K UP on Home Depots end. Total incompetent system going on with their appliance orders and deliveries. No two CSRs have the same information from past calls and everything has to be repeated AGAIN. Not only that but the original order was done through text messaging - I kept asking the "live agent" if it wouldn't be easier to talk in person - but nope. That took over an hour just to order the goddamn thing. Okay, I think this has driven me to drink. I'll be glad when it's over.

Home Depot countertop service

Quartzite installed by Stoneworx on Oct 29th. I realize quartzite is a natural stone and seams and pattern differential will differ however end result looks completely unacceptable. Stoneworx and Home Depot customer service dept actually agree this is the way it is to look. Stephanie at Home Depot said I picked out granite and that is the way a natural stone looks installed. If she truly researched it she would realize I picked out quartzite and it too is a natural stone (unlike quartz). It is not the pattern differential that is upsetting me it is the fact on either side of the seam it looks like 2 different colours. I have asked friends and family's opinion and even my children asked why it looks so bad. I am stunned Home Depot will not stand behind satisfaction of their service. I wish I had of read all the negative reviews about Stoneworx before agreeing to the work. I am currently in the US for the weekend and am unable to contact the store in Brantford ON. I am assuming they will agree with the other feedback I have received. I am so upset I am not letting this go. Can you please direct me to the correct person so I can express my concern and show ALL the pics of this horrendous job?

They said my counter top came from the same slab but I find this hard to believe considering the size and number of counter pieces. When I get home on Sunday I plan on taking a video as it displays a better view of the work. I have attached pics but it truly looks worse in person. There are 2 seams however the one to the left of sink is what I am upset about.

I also have mentioned there is a small chip by the sink which no one has even responded to.

Home Depot customer service in the lumber area

The employees that are assigned to work in the lumber area never want to help the customers. They walk around with cell phones in their hand ignoring the customers. If you ask them a question, they say its not their section. I stopped an employ and asked about where the 1x8's where. He said they are over there, and turned around went the other way without another word. When I turned around to go see if I could find the boards I needed there was another customer shaking his head. I asked him if he was looking for help and he said yes. I have been remodeling my house for the past 2 years and have been buying all my materials there. Before this house I remodeled my other house to sell. When I sold it I paid off my credit cards that I used to buy most of my materials from home depot. They exceeded $12, 000. I have spent over $10, 000 on this house.. Also I didn't buy the boards because a 1x8x8' was $13.48 ea.. I went to sutherlands and they were $8.02 and they were treated boards.. I will start shopping there now.
Thank you for your time, Jerry

Home Depot window installation

We had windows installed in our home the summer of 2019 and right from the start we had issues. After having 2 measurements done, on the day the windows were supposed to be installed we were told that the windows were the wrong size and would have to be redone. So we had to wait another month. We were discounted 10% off our bill to make up for it. So after another month we had 3 windows installed but 2 of our windows were missing. So they had to be found and installed at a later date. This ordeal took up our whole summer and now we are trying to have one of the windows repaired because it was put in incorrectly and have missing caulking now. Our contact person has been Vincent Carrante who is the exterior services manager and he hasn't been much help. Someone came and took pictures of our damaged window but hasn't contacted us again. It's almost November and our windows are still not fixed. We will NEVER have Home Depot do another job in our home. We want our window fixed! Home Depot is horrible. Vincent Carrante is even worse because he doesn't know how to help customers or even know how to treat a paying customer. He just ignores our phone calls and emails and think we will just go away. Home Depot is the worst and I will be bringing my business to Lowe's for now on!

Home Depot wrong door ordered by home depot personnel

Ordered two doors and two storm doors. Home Depot ordered the wrong door, I ended up having to take two days off instead of one to compensate for the installation of the correct door once it was ordered and arrived over a month later. I've called numerous times about compensation for my time due to home Depot's negligence of failing to order the correct door and checking to make sure the correct door arrived before setting up installation, no one answers the calls or return my calls. I called the claim center last month in September and was given case number [protected] and was told I will get a follow-up call on the 26th of September but no such call was received

Home Depot credit limit decrease - home depot

Received notice that my credit limit would be decreased due to lack of use. Just for your information. During the past 12 months, I have had two knee replacements (Nov 2018, Feb 2019), crashed my bike during the rehab period. I was not in the home improvement mode needless to say.

I have been a customer for years, but I could care less if you use these sort of letters without knowing the details.

In fact, cut it in half, cut it by 3/4. Or cancel my account if you please. You are not the only game in town..

Last four CC# 6424.

S Fichter

Home Depot late delivery of an online purchase order and poor communications

My products were paid for by credit card on the 02nd of october 2019 and delivered 14 days later to my forwarding company, who then delivered them to my specified destination. I made it clear at the onset of my purchase that I would be leaving that specified destination and that the products had to be there in time in order for me to clear them from customs. With my merchandise leaving home depot on the 16th of october 2019 little time was left for me to pick up my bill of lading, find a broker and to clear bahamas customs and retrieve my items from storage. My order could have been handled more expeditiously, which would have given me a few more days to personally deal with my order; 12 days would have even been sufficient but 14? Even if I would have been reminded that my order may be later than expected, I could have made adjustments to accommodate my time schedule.

As it turned out (due to the late delivery), I had to locate a company to clear from bahamas customs and collect my products for me, because my return flight to germany on 20 october 2019 could not be postponed. My frustration was how the home depot representative (hdr) handled my order. I became so frustrated that I decided never again to make and online order at (calle ocho's) department store again!

Here is a chronological account of that purchase history:
30 sep 2019
Me:ok sent you an email with attachments of the stuff I picked out online. Did not pay just have them im my online basket.

Home depot rep (hdr):ok perfect you want the shingles too
Ok we are ready for payment
As soonest you are

Me: yes the shingles but only the 48 bundles which is cheaper per bundle. Ca you make that one palate for everything? And how do I pay? I thought you could charge my credit card?

Hdr:the order is ready to pay... If you want please send credit card information... Through this way... Thank you...$.. 1, 931.12... Thank

Me:is that the price without taxes for export? I ask because my online order was less

Hdr:how much couse on line you pay taxes and we send it to the vip room
Let me check
Im checking give me one second

Me:online my price was 1710.27 pickup at customer service

Hdr:hi... The total is $ 1, 819.27... Included the delivery...$ 1, 710.27 plus $109.00... $1, 819.27. Thank you

(we got things sorted out and now we can finalize payment)

Hdr:I am going to charge your credit card tomorrow morning ok

1 october 2019 and 02 october 2019
Credit card at home depot declined twice. Contact with my bank in germany revealed no stop on credit card payment. The decline was from home depot. I am using my germany credit card (the same card being declined at hd) parallel in the bahamas making daily purchases.

02 october 2019 employed a different credit card. Did not bother to find out why home depot was declining my credit card when I was using it elsewhere as payment of hotel, car rental, shopping, etc. This one was accepted by home depot.

Hdr: this one went through tomorrow I will do the one on line
Text me
Please

03 october 2019
Me:hi (name omitted): sorry for this late request but I need 1 more item...

Bait block peanut butter flavor anticoagulant rodenticide for mice and rats (144-pack)

And then I leave you alone

04 october 2019
Me:good morning (name omitted). All is ok with you and work I hope. Were you able to complete my order? You wanted to do the rest of the online order. Please add the bait block peanut butter rat poison and finalise my palette for shipping. Thank you and let me know when you are done please. Muchas gracias por tu ayuda

Hdr: yes everything is order already! Thank you very much
I will send your email shortly

Me: (although I had asked her on a voice message to do this, I wrote it as text once again):
Please place an itemized listing of the products on the palate so that the shipping company and customs can see what is on the palate, not just my name. This is better for me when I have to pick it up here in new providence and something turns up missing.

7 october 2019
Me: good morning (name omitted). Hope all is well with you. Hate to bother you again but could you email me a copy of the receipt of the rest of my online order. I still have only one receipt for the first part of my order (h0277-215116). The second part I am still waiting on. Thank you

8 october 2019: received per email 1 receipt of some of the items ordered. The invoice had been split into two, so I had to inquire as to the second one.

Me:good morning (name omitted). Hope all is well with you. Hate to bother you again but could you email me a copy of the receipt of the rest of my online order. I still have only one receipt for the first part of my order (h0277-215116). The second part I am still waiting on. Thank you

Hdr:ok good morning I had a family emergency today I didn't go to work but tomorrow as soonest I get there I will send it to you ok thank you and I am sorry have a wonderful day

Me:entiendo. I hope all turns out well. I am only asking so often because I will be leaving the bahamas in 10 days and it would be great to have the order delivered before then. Now I know your situation. Keep your head up :)

Hdr: thank you and I will let you onow tomorrow

Next day: receipt of email from hdr but with the same invoice as before, therefore a new inquiry

Me:good morning (name omitted) elena. Hope all is well. I checked my email but the receipt you sent again is the same one from last week. No reverse osmosis system with filters etc. I sent you images of all the items I had in my online basket and the total came to around $1800 including shipping. The receipt inteceived again this morning is $1377.42. Some items are missing. What is going on?

Hdr:I send you the 2 invoces can you please chack
And ley me know
If not I will send it again
Ooo thank you

Me: the two invoices are the same
I 👀 only some of the items I on that invoice (which I already have). Just incase here is my online basket again (I send her an image of my basket again to jog her memory)

Hdr:ok let me send you again
I send it again

Me:got it now 💪

Hdr: jiji ok

Me: thank you very much

14 october
Me:hello (name omitted): hope all is well with you and family. I was wondering when my shipment will come to the bahamas. Can you please tell me when you sent my order to the shipping company best way international because I haven't heard anything from them about a delivery date. On sunday I will be leaving and going back to germany. I hope the shipment has left home depot because if not we have a small problem. Let me know so that I can make a decision on what to do. Thank you.

Hdr: no I haven't send your oder
The specialorder they hmget here on the 16 so hopefully when we check and is the correct items we wolud deliver to your fright forward

Me:hi (name omitted): sorry but I have a problem with this order. To be honest, the 16th is really very late! From 02 october until now (14 october) and my items are still there; that is almost 2 weeks! What items are so special that it is taking so long? If you won't be shipping my items until the 16th, inwill not get them here in the the bahamas before the 20th of october? It will take at least another 4 days to get here and another 2 to get the paperwork done for clearing customs. Which means those items will not be ready for pickup until around 22 october and I am leaving the bahamas on 20 october : (. I don't know what to do or say. Didn't know it would take this long.

Hdr:on line items yeah today is 14 and 16 is on wednesday

(this is the part where things escalated a bit because she had difficulty understanding what the problem was. The hdr said she would try to get the items to my shipping company by the 16th of october 2019.)

(I made one attempt to cancel but I was persuaded by a friend to not cancel and try and find someone in my absence to pick the merchandise up.)

16 october 2019 (hdr recommended that I give the name of the person who will be clearing my items from customs to put on the invoice)

Me:send to the shipping company. The name of the person who will pick it up in nassau is mr. (name omitted) smith from 21st century welding. So in the invoice you would put (name omitted) thompson c/o (name omtted) smith. Tel: [protected] (office number). The people at the shipping company knows him. Now you can ship my items to the bahamas. If you have any questions ask me please.

Hdr:okay sir thank you very much I will do
Have a great night

18 october 2019 (no changed invoices to accommodate clearing from customs other than myself. So an inquiry was made)

Me:hello (name omitted). When will I get a copy of the invoice with the change that I sent you several days ago. I should have a new invoice which includes the name of the person (mr. Name omitted) who will be picking up my items from customs)? I thought that was the reason for me sending you that additional information. The invoice in my possession are only with my name. I am a bit confused about all this

Hdr:you tell the company the change the invoce goies in your name you have to tell the shipping company and let him know unless you want the invoice to go under his name and I change it and send it to you now

Me:send invoice as follows:

To mr. (name omitted). Thompson
C/o mr. (name omitted) smith
21st century welding
N.P.; bahamas

🙏🏿 please!

19 october 2019 (1 day before my return trip toeurope)
Me: (name omitted) thank you. Received one invoice today with the change (perfect). Now all you need to do is the same with the second invoice. Please! The one with the reverse osmosis system (the special order). Thank you very much

Hdr:ok no problem

21 october and no information or second invoice from hdr. But this time I am really aggravated and have had enough.

Me: (name omitted), if you have not made changes to my invoices as inrequested, then forget it. Instead of telling me ok no problem, you may as well have said don't bother me.

Hdr:good afternoon sr I did change your invoice

Online invoice that I didn't change is becouse I cannot change anything to it I don't know what the issue is but I am treating you with respect and doing my job correctly as much as I can sr I work from monday to friday 9/5 sr

Me:the last thing you said to me a few days ago was "ok no problem". So what was that suppose to mean? I will change it or I can't change it? You said nothing until just now! How am I suppose to know that you are having or had a problem when you say nothing? That is not how you communicate with customers. When can't do something you tell them not @ ok no problem " because they are waiting in the bahamas for the changes invoices (not one but all two) and I told them I am waiting on you. Now you tell me you can't change the second invoice! I can't know what is going on when you remain silent.

Hdr:did you check you email sr

Me: (name omitted), you sent me 1 changed invoice per email on the 19th of october; invoice h0277-215116. That is all! I told you that it was ok with those changes and that you only need now to send the second with changes.

I am in florida and will be returning to germany in the morning. It would have been nice not to have had a problem with this online order. I won't do it again because it was a disaster. My mistake thinking it could work out well but I think the biggest problem is the language. So let us just leave it at that and discontinue this futile conversation because it has brought nothing but frustration.

Home Depot scarce to empty shelves and absolutely no service rendered by hd employees

I arrived at hd approximately 3:15p 11/20/19. My aim was to purchase some hex-head screws. I went to the hardware section and looked. Many of the packets of hex, flat & round-head screws were mixed together. I went to a cashier and asked if someone could assist in aisle 13. A pa call was placed. No one came. After 20 min. With no one assistance, I walked to the rear of the store, no one was available. I asked another clerk if an employee could assist in aisle 13. Another call was placed. Still, no assistance. My fiancé called claiming that I had been in hd for 2 hours; it was more like 1.5 hours. This hd is located in the south loop of chicago. It services many customers. And for that reason; it should be a quintessential hd for the city. Instead, you're lucky if you can find items and good luck getting assistance. However; it's good to know that there is another chicago hd on north avenue. It's perfect! Clinton employees need to visit north avenue to see how it's done. I left hd and went to elston ace hardware. They had the 6 x 1 hex-head screw for $.15. Much cheaper than hd. Ace is closer to my home. I don't know why I bothered with hd in the first place! Home Depot roof warranty

I called your warranty (or installation dept) the last week of September wanting to file a claim to have my roof repaired. I had a new roof installed by you all on or after 2012 (Please look up my details of purchase for specifics). Several things have NOT occurred since then.

You all were going through transfer of roofing contracts and I was told "I'd be in a queue to be called the first week of Oct." First week goes by and no phone call. I called a second time to inquire where I was in the queue and when I can expect a call back. I live in Florida and you can imagine the rainy season and the leaking. I was told you all don't have access to the contractor's information and that I'd have to wait - you were not able to provide an ETA on a call back.

I call a 3rd time to ask again, if there's a way to find out where I am in the queue, and ALSO, I requested a copy of my warranty be sent to my email address. ZERO of that has happened. I hope you can understand my frustration with all of this - as a homeowner, the longer I wait to fix a leaky roof, the potential of more damage and more costs.

PLEASE can someone contact me asap regarding my roof warranty and walk me through the process of filing a claim. I appreciate it you in advance,

I have no idea how you can even reach me through this site w/o posting personal info.

I am in the same boat except I started my phone calls on 7/28/2019. I was made promise after promise after promise about being contacted by the "end of next week" or 1st week in September", etc., etc., etc.including "get two roof quotes and we will pay for the repairs". Then I submitted my roof quote and they told me, "You're too late. You missed the deadline."

Home Depot rude customer service

I have been going to this location since I purchased my home in 2011. Today 10/18/19 I went in to return some tile because my project was completed today and I had 7 unopened boxes of tile. The lady (with the thick glasses) was very rude. She told me I might not be able to return the tile and their system would flag my drivers license and I wouldn't be able to return goods to any store. I asked her since when a paying customer can't return goods they purchased if those goods don't work out. I told her I paid for the merchandise with my debit card and am not even asking for a refund but am asking for a store credit because I am a homeowner and always need stuff.

This lady act like I committed a crime by returning tile that wasn't used. As I told her, sounds like it's okay for me to spend thousands of dollars at Home Depot but not okay for me to return products that aren't needed.. I am highly offended and consider Home Depot to be on my boycott list.

Home Depot freezer delivery / cancel refund for online order

I am complaining about Home Depot (online appliance order / delivery / cancellation refund). It was one of the most ridiculous experiences I've ever had.

I ordered a freezer online on 10/10/19 but I had to cancel it because Home Depot would deliver it tomorrow morning although I specifically requested afternoon delivery because my wife had a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning and also because the next earliest available delivery date is too remote from today.
I contacted the customer service to cancel my order. After canceling it, customer service told me that I have to visit in person Home Depot store. She told me ANY store will be good.
I visited Manhattan store (62nd St, 3rd Ave) but the store said they cannot help me and told me to go to Yonkers Home Depot. I refused to go and asked for help. After giving me wrong explanations several times, the 62nd street Home Depot supervisor (Mi Mi) finally told me that customer service misinformed me in the first place. I never needed to visit store in person. Also, there will be no delivery because it was already cancelled and the refund will be issued in 3-5 business days.

Why does Home Depot provide the "special request about delivery" filed on the order website which it would not honor?
What if it was Denver Home Depot instead of Yonkers?

While I am writing this complaint, I just received a call again confirming it will be delivered between 8:30am-12:30am tomorrow.

I write this complaint because I feel obligated for a future person who would order online from Home Depot.
