Home Depot credit card fees

While checking out with a $51 purchase in June 2018, I agreed to apply for a Home Depot credit card. I did provide a personal credit card and thought they had charged my existing, non-HD credit card as I was applying for their card and didn't realize I was getting approved on the spot. The cashier entered all my personal info and I was given a receipt for my purchase.
Recently I was contacted by HD for lack of payment. The amount due was $141, almost 3-times my original purchase! They even dinged my credit report to all 3 major reporting agencies.
I NEVER received a credit card nor a bill/statement from HD. After speaking with one of their representatives, she confirmed that both my credit card and bills were returned as deliverable and that wouldn't wave the almost $100 in late fees. Their fees are ridiculous! Especially since it was a Home Depot employee that entered my address incorrectly so my card and bill never arrived.
I've spotless credit and am upset by how I've been treated.

Home Depot siding installation

I live here in Shepherdstown, WV, and I was approached while in my local Home Depot in Ranson, WV, in early May about being interviewed for the installation of siding. I agreed to have someone come out and give me a free estimate, and on May 23rd Brice Duvall came to my home and looked over my home and gave me some choices of siding (their R2 factor and colors) to pick from with their accompanying costs. I agreed to pay $9852.00 to have the Tuscan Olive green siding installed with white trim and four maroon colored shutters to be put on the side of my house, seeing how I already had three shutters on the front. Mr. Duvall assured me that I would have siding installed no later than July 28th. While walking around my house together, I pointed out a missing down spout and asked Mr. Duvall if he thought someone could fix that for me while the men were here. He assured me that he didn't think it would be any problem.

Well, I started calling Brice back around mid-July to see if the siding installation was still on target, but I couldn't reach him, so I spoke with a lady from customer service who didn't have any order information on my installation. I called quite a few different phone numbers trying to find out what was going on. Finally, I was told that because of business being backed up, I probably wouldn't be gotten to until the end of August. As the end of August rolled around, I started my phone calling again, and I ran across the numbers of Chuck and John Brown. Again, no body knew what I was talking about, and nobody had ordered any siding for me. I talked of cancelling this order all together at this point. I even went into the store here at Ranson, which was what I was told to do if I wanted to cancel and spoke to Trent the assistant manager, who didn't seem to know what to do. I came back about a week later after I hadn't heard from anyone, and I spoke to Dave the manager, who agreed that some of the nonsense being pulled on me was ridiculous. He said he would take care of this personally. He put me in contact with a man by the name of Arlin, who through John Brown's supervision, assured me that I wouldn't need to cancel, that this would be handled by him and John Brown themselves. Well, by the time I could get a date set for any future installs, I was told that it would be mid-to-late September. Arlin came out at mid-September to look at my house and all it would take to put up siding and to fix my down spout. Arlin came out because he hadn't been told that the shutters were to be installed to the sides of my house and that I would need a down spout. I was happy to comply with whatever he felt he needed. He further told me what an easy installation job it would be, and that they could knock it out in one day.

Eventually, my siding order and inventory arrived on Tuesday, September 25th, with a promised installation day of that following Thursday. I went out that same evening and checked the siding, and it was the wrong color. They had brought me a Sage colored siding, so I called Arlin to inform him of the mix up. He told me that it was the color I wanted, and I informed him that I still had the original siding order which clearly stated in Mr. Duvall's handwriting that the color was Tuscan Olive green, where Arlin informed me that he didn't think siding came in that color; I assured him that it did. He called me back on Wednesday, and told me that Tuscan Olive green is a color they carried but that it didn't have the R2 insulation he thought I wanted. We came to an agreement that I would accept the Sage green color but at a discount of 10%. So, we were back on track for Thursday's installation. The men came out; my daughter had been home and saw their arrival, but that they had left shortly after. I checked the weather and saw that it was supposed to rain that afternoon. When I arrived home from work, I noticed all the siding and inventory had fallen over without any plastic covering it for protection from the rain. My daughter informed me that she had heard it fall over-night, but the men who came didn't see fit to cover it up from the rain. Furthermore, they left an empty pack of cigarettes in my yard. Texted Arlin about the litter and asked when he thought he and his crew would back to install. He told me Friday (09/28/18), he and his crew would be out to begin the installation. Well, no one showed up and no one saw fit to explain to me why until I started contacting John Brown, Chuck, and Arlin. Finally, Arlin texted me to say that everything needed to dry off, and that he and his crew would be back today (Monday, 10/01) to install the siding. Since my daughter wasn't going to be here, I took today off to be here. Well, it is now 11:07, and nobody is here installing anything. I called my circuit of people: Arlin, John Brown, Chuck, and Brice Duvall. Everyone assuring me that they would start the job, but nobody is really doing anything about it. Furthermore, when I spoke with Arlin on the phone about the job not beginning, he said that the job was harder than I knew and that it was going to take at least two days to complete it.

All this complaint should be illustrating is how little you all value your customers, how much your workers take advantage of your customers, and how much I am supposed to feel as if you all are doing me a favor by agreeing to do this job in the first place. I am frustrate by the incompetence, by the stalling, by the lying, and by the devaluing your workers have subjected me to. I will not be recommending Home Depot services to anybody within my sphere of influence, I will not be using your services ever again for anything, and if there is any legal action I can take because of all of this, I will be taking it.

Home Depot home depot on halsted avenue, homewood, il

My wife and I went into this store on 09/18/2018. We were looking for a washer machine. We look and waited for
a sales person for about 20 minutes. We went to a desk and they call over the system for someone to
meet us in that area. That did not happen, so we started look at the washer until we found the one we like. It was another
twenty five minutes before we could get help.
I would like to know if the cooperate office know this. We were not the only peoples waiting. Someone know how these
customers are been treated so the company can save $$$. I will be quite until someone call me with some satisfaction

Home Depot employees using and selling prescription medication briana obrien/thomas linda hollsworth

Employee Briana Obrien/Briana Thomas has been buying prescription medication from cashier, Linda Hollsworth. I have personally witnessed this. She comes to work high and under the influence and no one does anything. She carries the pills on her, and sometimes hides them in her wallet in her locker. Briana sets up people to come in Home Depot. Last year sometime, Home Depot had a theft where a bunch of theives who belonged to a theft ring . Employees chased the theives out the back sliding doors. Briana was involved with these people, she helped set it up. She helps set up shoplifters regularly to steal, as she is addicted to prescription medication.
If nothing is done about this, I will contact the FBI and DEA. Briana and Linda are using, and Linda is selling her prescription medication, which violates federal law. If Home Depot does not take action against these two employess, they will go on the record as allowing two employees to break federal laws, and Im sure the FBI and DEA will love to take action against Home Depot's CEO and against Home Depot (victoria texas) upper management. Once again, this is Home Depot, Victoria Texas Store # 6587. Briana even brags about how store managers Gary and Barry will do nothing to her,

Home Depot issue with product as well as extremely bad installation service

I hired home depot for some installation service but I had a terrible experience.
They have very bad and non professional installers.
Installer who did backsplash did not clean grout and did the grout in a very bad way, he dropped grout over my counters. Damage my range hood.
My quartz counters are chipped from several places. And one countertop has more than 3 inch scratch.
They did my railing very bad not secured, no finishing. He damage my new paint, my trim. Iron balusters are not straight, very crappy work.
I feel I am the victim of their installation service. Bad customer service
Try to contact with manager he told me I was told to stay away.
I was told at the end of installation store manager and contractor corry will come. Nobody come. Stay away from this crappy installation service, extremely bad. Very very disappointed. Unfair customer care service. They sold me defected countertops. They damaged my home.

Home Depot paint

I order in the store a paint preparation and take with me a code to prepare the paint. The color was different and go back to my house to find the last can of paint that remain in my home. The paint center employee fefuse to adjust the paint color, and I went to customer service and explain the situation. The customer services gave order to the employee to adjust the paint a I got the pait. The problem here is that the last year the paint was change from behr brand to Lanco, and belive that was the same employee that refuse to adjust the color. I am using the same color for last 4 year and take the paint color to the sore and the paint was prepare without problems. I think that the problem was cause by chnage the brand from the original Behr brand to Lanco brand. Please said to the employee that some color are register from the brand that create the brand and this may be a pattent issue. And the most important thing is that the employee of the paint department is kinder to the clients.

The store is in Los Colobos In carolina, Puerto rico

Home Depot gutter installation in framingham ma

I waited for more than 2 months for gutter installation and now winter is coming and I still cannot even get it scheduled. Recently they told me lady Stephonny with ph # [protected] will call me. She never ever bother to call me and even I called her million times.I think she is too busy running for her own errands and no time to serve customers. I even called her manager Brent and he never returns my calls either although he promised me to call me back asap. Even worse they are playing games with me. I have spent 2 whole days for this and a lot of my other spare time. This is rediculous and not acceptable. I have called homedepot many times about this and transferred to many departments. By my experience and compare with other departments, the team is so horrible that I never met before. Here I especially thanks to kassandra with ext 34558 who helped me with this hassle although by now it has not been solved. She shows polite and helpful and very professional way. Thank you very much, kassandra and thank you for reading this. Doris zhang

Home Depot credit card false promotion ad

While online at the home depot website a promotional ad for opening a new credit card kept appearing: save $100 on first qualifying purchase upon opening a home depot consumer credit card. This ad pops up constantly. So... I bit. I opened the card. Asked for a account number right away so I could finish the online order. Jumped through the credit hoops and got a number. Ok. Good.

Well, not so good. I asked for the promo code or whatever to save the $100. OH. Wait! It is for $1000 purchases or more. No where on any of these annoying promotional ads did they release this information.

After many attempts to verify this information, including calling the local store, I got a new number for credit card services and CANCELLED the card. I guess the "qualifying purchase" was a $1000!

This what the consumer gets for trying to save a little money. Don't get me started on Menards!

Home Depot rude employee

We were in the appliance department today to look for a new dryer. There was just one staff there and serving a couple. So we were just wait and then more people come but still no one to serve us. Then finally after about 25 mins, the other staff come, and we tried to speak with him. The way he spoke was very inpatient and said' I think other people come earlier than you.' Well he just came and I don't think he really knew the situation . So we explained to him that, we already waited for 25 mins and was earlier than the other people. He left with' I will be right back' and then went to talk to other people who came later than us.
We went to this home depot very often and never met anyone like him. He is rude and treated customers unfair.
Then we just went to COSTCO website to order a new dryer, I won't go to home depot anymore.

Home Depot terrible experience parking at home depot

Today I was working in Jamaica New York and needed hardware for a job. I drove to Home Depot at 92-30 168th St. Jamaica NY 11433. It was around 1pm and before I shopped I went next door to McDonald's for some lunch upon my return my van was towed away. Security told me to call the towing company whom charged me $217. Of course I didn't go back in to buy what I needed but went straight to the manager to complain that I was not warned. He told me if you leave the property at all this will occur. If I am not reimbursed the $215. I will never shop at Home Depot ever again as I live near a Lowes. I will also let my friends and family know not to shop at Home Depot as well.

Home Depot lawn mower

I bought a lawn mower from Payson, AZ. For my daughter and she used it three times on a small 12x15' piece of grass in front of her home to comply with HOA requirements. When it wouldn't start I returned it to the service department and though they were considerate rather than swap it out, they chose to repair it. It took some 5 weeks before some phone calls that it was ready for pick up. She has since mowed that meager piece of lawn twice before it again would not start.
My daughter is a single mom with a 6 year old daughter and between work, daycare drop offs and pick up along with cooking, cleaning, driving, etc. she has no time to deal with this matter.
I have since moved away and can not help her. She has had to purchase another "yard sale" mower so as not to be cited by her HOA.
Before I contact the BBB on slam HD on social media I am asking your sssistence I'm swapping out her mower for what I believe is a "lemon"!
I have spent hours to know avail with your automated/ menu customer service line and am done. What are you willing to do for her seeing I am not there to help.

Home Depot b-hyve smart wifi indoor sprinkler system 4 channel

Hello my name is William and I purchase this product from Home Depot in Lancaster California about three weeks ago. The system worked well at first and no longer needed the box. Lately it has been not turning on at the time I set and also not linking with my phone. So I went back to the store to get an exchange which was a rather difficult thing to do without a receipt or the box. I was rudely turn down by customer service her name Robben, and when I asked to speak to a manager it never happened. I'm not even sure if the store has a manager. At one point she was going to allow me to exchange the item as long as everything was there. I had everything with me but she said I didn't, I kindly asked what was missing and she wouldn't tell me. Now I have a defective product and no way to water my grass. I have bought many things from Home Depot from my washer and dryer to my carpet on the floor and paint on my walls. Now I would never want to return because of the rude and dishonest employees you have hired. I could understand if I have done this many times in the past but the one time I lost my recipe this is not what I expected from a large company that should stand by their products.

Please if there anything you can do to restore my trust in the company, I would greatly appreciate it.

Best regards

Home Depot carpet

Hi, I bought a carpet on April 20th from one of the branches in Houston, but unfortunately I encountered a lot of problems from the store when the carpet was delivered and installed. First of all, it was delivered to me too late, and although I had provided a sample of carpet and the one which delivered was very different from the one I expected. The installers behaved very unfriendly, and the color of the carpet was very different from the sample that I asked for. Because of the late delivery of my carpet, I fell down and my foot was injured. I regularly e-mailed the store and each time they changed the date and time of the visit for various excuses. Have done. And yesterday they came to my house to visit the issues and told me that I should pay over 400 dollars to fix this situation. And I decided to file a complaint because of my innumerable losses from your company. I ask you to give back to me a thousand dollars that I paid and I do not like the performance of your system at all. I will send you a copy of the receipt.

Home Depot carpet installation process

Home Depot Store 0728 N Knoxville
2751 Schaad Road
Knoxville TN 37921
Date: 9/12/18
Receipt [protected]
Order ID: H0728-66185

I wanted to buy and have carpet installed by Home Depot. They have a free installation, free stairs, free furniture moving, no hidden fee, no surprises carpet installation process when you purchase the carpet from them. This is completely false advertising. They should say free furniture moves on items that can fit though the bedroom door without disassembly. I paid the $35.00 fee to have our measurements complete which went great. I then received a call from the corporate carpet installation processor who asked to go over the estimate with me. She starts telling me about the fees I will incur due to furniture moves. I informed her that Home Depot has a special that furniture moves are free. She agreed but said that is only for basic furniture. Here is what they were charging me:
Daugters Bunk Bed $150
Son's Queen Bed $75
Excercise Machine $25
Pool Table in our Game Room was completely left up to us because they would not touch it and would not lay carpet in that room with the table in the room.

I expected the Pool Table. I told her I was going to have our service team build me a platform with wheels and put the pool table on there so it could be moved around in order to stretch the carpet over a third of the room. The installers could then nail or screw it down, roll the pool table back over then continue to stretch the remainder of the room. They refused, no carpet unless the pool table is disassembled. This is an italian slate pool table that can't just be unassembled. It is not just a pool table purchased at Sears or somewhere. There is no way to disassemble without harming our UT Vols Orange Top Felt.

Here is what I did not expect. The fee for the beds. My daugters bed is a white metal twin over full bunk bed. I would not allow them to disassemble this piece because it has no less than 100 screws and they will never get it back together correctly. I am not sure why Home Depot would want to take on this liability anyway. I explained to the processor the way to stretch the carpet and move the bunk bed around the room. Again, this is a huge room, they could stretch and do a third of the room before having to move the bed back onto the carpet.

The next fee of $75 for my son's bed was not expected. It is my opinion (I own a furniture company) that a bed is basic furniture. The advertising says furniture, the employees say basic furniture and the processor called everything basic furniture. A bed in a bedroom is not basic furniture according to home depot. I would say this is the very basis of the word bedroom and most would expect to have a bed in the bedroom. How much more basic can you get?

The last and most disturbing fee was moving my excercise equipment for $25.00. I have a foldaway treadmill that has wheels and rolls around with 2 fingers. However some carpet installers just can't be responsible for rolling this to the hallway unless they charge $25.00 to do so. This was laughable, no tools, no muscle, no disassembly fees, just pushing it out of the way was $25.00.

So, after this disappointment, I said let's just not go any further and I will take my samples back to get our $35.00 back for the measurement. She said that would not be refunded because they sent someone to measure. I agreed and asked if she could just send me the measurements by email and I would use these to get someone else on the job. She would not give me this information either because it belonged to Home Depot.

To that end. I went to home depot and gave the samples back and asked for the $35.00 to be refunded. They refused as well under the same premise. They also refused to give me the measurements. As a matter of fact, Bobby the salesman, wanted to argue and have a word about anything I said. It was like dealing with my 13 year old son. He knows more than anyone about carpet installation and you are not going to be right. I asked to speak to his manager and he called him on the phone. The sales person gave him the spill over the phone and then when he hung up the results were still the same. No $35 refund. The manager even walked by us on the phone with Bobby and never stopped or looked our way. The manager of a department in Home Depot can't come talk to a disatisfied customer.

I am completely floored that Home Depot would do this type of advertising and then not refund the $35.00 fee. It is disturbing that Home Depot would rather have negative reviews and disatisfied customer than to credit the measley $35.00. What a waste of my time filing this complaint and also going to all social media to tell everyone the same story. How many home depot customers across the nation have paid this fee and then found out that free furniture moves are not free. They must be making quite a large sum of money on this fee or they would have refunded my money today. No one wants a disatisfied customer especially with the social media outlets available today.

I would like a refund on the $35.00 for myself. I would also like for the Home Depot Corporate office to take another look at this advertising. The sales people should be instructed to explain what "free Furniture Moves" really means prior to taking a deposit for measurements. The sales people do not say anything but yes, they move all basic furniture for free.

Home Depot ridgid power tool

I purchased a pneumatic air nailer 2 years ago after recommendation from friend about the great warranty on Ridgid power tools. Within 2 months of moderate use, the nailer started giving me grief; I went to local Home Depot to either exchange it or send in for repairs; customer rep AND manager said that policy changed 2 years ago and that Home Depot no longer takes care of that for customers and I would be responsible for sending it to a service centre for analysis...I'm a contractor and cannot afford down time waiting for a technician to determine whether unit can be repaired or should be replaced; the service centre also is 3 hours away from me; I'm also submitting formal complaint to Ridgid, but Home Depot policy was not explained to me at all; the manager was not very helpful either and rather terse in his explanations ; not a great experience!

Home Depot online ordering / customer care

Order # CD30938899
This is regarding my experience while trying to order Internet #[protected] on September 18, approximately 1:00pm. The time is important because the item indicated it could be delivered by September 20th if ordered within 35 minutes.
I called customer service asking how thick cushion was, after few minutes was disconnected. Called again and although I furnished rep with words Hampton Bay Ridge Fall line she was unable to locate item and told me to go to store. I then called Customer Care was put on hold and once again was disconnected. Went to store on Southside, Jacksonville, FL and spoke with Scott Stearns, who tried calling vendor, Hampton Bay and no one was abled to furnish him thickness or other dimensions of cushion other than it was put together in China. Scott did go out of his way to help. We finally decided to place the order through the store but was told it wouldn't be delivered until 9/25-9/28. This was unacceptable as my husband would be out of town by that date. I did speak to Brittany this morning and we placed the order and she said she would send the shipper an e-mail asking order to be expedited. Don't know if this will happen. She did offer 10% off because of my problems. Felt I was penalized because I couldn't place order sooner.
Think you should be aware of my experience.

On May 17, I purchased a mini fridge online and paid using my Paypal acct. Everything when smoothly.
Fast forward 2 weeks later, 6/1/2021. I when online to check the status of the fridge, that's when I realized the order was canceled. I was shocked, the updated message read, ( Your order was successfully cancel) I also noticed that particular fridge in white color is now out of stock online. I when on their customer service's live chat and see if they can look into this matter.. I would have accepted a simply apology, but instead she, the representative say the cancelation was due, because Payapl had denied the charge. When I showed her the invoice from Palpal she didn't offered an apology, worse yet she insist what had occurred wasn't their fault. I purchased the fridge for my son that moved in his own studio downstairs from us with out a fridge for 2 weeks. I would have accepted the fact, if she had acknowledged somehow they drop the ball on their end instead of laying the blame on someone else .

Home Depot service/appliance/damage

Home depot #2955 9/6/18 my samsung front loader washer & dryer were delivered by home depots 3rd party vendor. Whom sent 3 non professional men who first questioned my ethnic backround, and did not properly install my dryer due to ventilation under mobil home (which I was not told when I purchased dryer) but I was told about how to keep rubber dry around washer so mold wouldn't build up, than he left electrical wires uncovered on back of dryer. Than when he went to install washer he busted hot water valve spraying water all over and leaving part on the ground for me to find well cleaning up water that my new appliances were sitting in. I was than told "he didn't flood my home and it would have costed more to repair than what my home was worth"and he would fix what he did for $ on the side. And in the end he wrote a false manager name for the warehouse that never called me. So I went immediately to home depot since I had no running hot water in my home to be told by randy the store manager that he could not do anything but have me do a incident report and maybe they would reimburse me for a plumber. I explained to him that this is not ok so he was willing to give me the parts, but I explained I have no idea on how to fix what his people did. So his associate jerry who did more for me at that moment she offered to call a contractor who could come out next morning and did (got part from store). But again randy said I would have to pay him (plumber). It wasn't until I said I might as well return the appliances since I have no water and called my brother inlaw who paid for them that randy than offered to credit me the cost of the plumber off my appliances but that was it (whom was in the end very nice and repaired the damage pipes). Now on to sedgwick (claimes department) gary kaplan whom states"its pure heir say the 3rd party damaged my $1400 appliances". I explained my experience the fact that both machines sat in water until I could clean it up (well I was at the store with randy), I had no running water until I could turn on atleast the cold water, I missed 3hrs of work the next morning to wait for the plumber. And sedgwick would not warranty the appliance that home depot non professional, insulting, side job seeking employee compromised. His response was I will send you a $60 check today and you will need to have the manufacture come and inspect the appliances? Really so please dont ever buy from home depot all a warranty would have costed them was $180 instead they will loss a customer for good and remember the names mentioned and home depot northtowne lane, reno nv 89512. And the fact that there 3rd party delivery people will offer to repair what they damage for side work, and sedgwick isn't there to actually stand by home depot product and customer satisfactory when its obvious they damaged my property and appliances than insulted me.

Home Depot flooring/bathroom quote

On Sept 8th, 2018, my husband I went to the Cranberry Township, PA Home Depot to request a quote for sub-flooring, flooring, and toilet for a master bathroom. I repeated to the associate multiple times that the sub-flooring would need removed and replaced as this was the most urgent of our requests.

We paid for the toilet and took it home with us. He told us that we paid for the disconnect and reconnect of the toilet and to relay that information to the person coming in to measure.

He provided quote #[protected].0 which he described would cover the removal and install of sub-flooring and flooring. He said we would receive a separate phone call from someone to install the toilet.

I received a call from the company who measured the bathroom. They said they DO NOT handle sub-flooring at all. They also said that they DO NOT disconnect or connect plumbing even though I was told I paid for that service.

I called the store and they stated I was given the completely wrong information when I came in the store because their installers do not handle sub-flooring at all...WHICH IS THE REASON WHY I WAS THERE IN FIRST PLACE!

This service is absolutely unacceptable. I have one bathroom and am urgent need of repair due to the rotting of the sub-flooring. The whole point of getting quotes and re-doing the sub-flooring, flooring, and toilet was to fix this major issue. This store has done nothing but waste my time!

Home Depot air conditioner

We will never buy from HD again, ever and we will advise our many friends never to o either. We bought an air home air conditioner two years when at the hottest week end of summer ours when out. Never in any of this did we dream that our Home Depot account would be turned over to Citi Bank, the highest interest rate company in the world. Now we are being bomb- barded with huge interest on top of interest at 28%. that is such false advertising on their part. Now our bill jumped from $6500. to $11, ooo. because of the interest rate. We are on a fixed income so how are we supposed to pay this off. We have tried to settle this with Citi Bank with no results, and we are being charged over limit on the card because of interest they have added to our card.
The interest rate was $5500.after paying on this for two years and we also had problems with air conditioner breaking down every summer since install. This unit was contracted with HD with three different companies for preventative maintence without satisfactory service. Ben & Josie Hamby Phoenix, AZ
