Home Depot ge refrigerator

My brother & I bought a new GE refrigerator 2 week ago at 1706 Elgin Mills Rd East Richmond Hill Ontario and requested if it could be delivered in the morning only as i have a doctor appointment on that day at 3 pm in the afternoon and the salesgirl (Nigar) told us that there was no problem at all and that it is important that I went ahead and booked the elevator first as I am living in a condo. So i booked the elevator for the morning on the day of delivery.
At 6 pm before the day of delivery i received a recorded message on my phone telling me that my delivery will be from 11.30 to 3.30 pm the next day and that if i have any question please call the number on top of my order. I called that number and was told it was closed and would take me to the message center to leave a message. Then i was told my message could not be taken as the message mail box is full.
So I called Home depot store at Richmond Hill direct and the associate who pick up the phone tole me delivery is handled by another department. I tried to explain to him and asked if it could be delivered before 2pm as i had a doctor appointment at 3 pm. He said nothing they can do at the store as delivery is done by another department and that i should call the number on my order which i just did but getting no way. Also he said the salesgirl Nigar would have never said that to me that it was no problem to make the delivery in the morning for me. I told him I was not lying as my brother was there too.
So next morning at 8 am i called the number on my order to see if they can help. I explained my situation to the receptionist and she asked if i had ordered my Fridge from Home Depot and that Home Depot should have been honest with me about the delivery at the time when i ordered my Fridge and that she is sorry she couldn't help but hope that it could be delivered before 2pm.
The delivery did not come till 2.30pm and when i looked at it I realized the door was opened to the wrong side and i had pay $25 plus taxes for the door swing. When i told the delivery guys that the door was right and i had paid for the door swing, he insisted at first that i did not pay for the door swing and is not shown on his computer and that the $25 plus taxes i paid was for hall-away ( which i did too) . I said i could go up to my condo and bring the invoice to show him but he said " listen, i do what is shown on my computer here and you did not pay for the door swing" i said i did and i have the invoice and then he took a second look and realized i did pay for the door swing. with no apology they just laid the fridge flat on the concrete floor with no protective under the fridge and start undo the door . They even wanted to put the brand shiny new fridge door on the concrete but i stopped him and he then asked me to carry the door on my arms while they are taking out other screws and fixing them on the right side. It is heart breaking to see my New fridge was treated so roughly on the concrete floor and yet they were asking me for tips for their poor services and manner.
Took the fridge up to my condo and they were rushing me to sign the delivery as they needed to rush and i did and only realized then that there was a minor dent like half the circle on the back of the fridge .
First the sales girl " Nigar" was not honest with the delivery time but she just wanted to make the sale.
By the time all this was done with I was too late for my doctor appointment all due to Home Depot store's dishonesty.

Home Depot bathtub delivery

I purchased a tub & side walls on March 30th & I'm still waiting for delivery. First they told us we could pick up in store on 4/2. We went, no tub. Then they said by the 6th. We called the 8th, still no tub. They apologized, offered free shipping, to be delivered around 4/24. We call the 24th, again apologies that the side walls did Not come in with the tub. Side walls wouldn't be in for 2-3 more weeks. They then rescheduled delivery for May 15 for a buffer zone to maintain time guaranty. Granted the the previous 24th was a buffered time guaranty too. So today is the 15th & still no tub! Somthing about the truck left to late. What a joke! I will never shop through home depot again, & I will discouage others from shopping there as well. Home depot has been a horrible experience. Some sort of compensation would be nice for the terrible inconvenience to our remodel timeline, awful communication between multiple staff & customer, & poor customer service. This is at the Roseburg Or store.

Home Depot windows well broken and then reordered and broken

I placed an order for replacement windows on April 5th 2018. When picking them up over 3 weeks later they were broken. I did not accept them. I was told they would be reordered. Today May 15th 2018 I went to pick up the reordered windows. And was tried to be given the same broken windows from the previous month. Home Depot on Forest Avenue in Staten Island New York 2501 Forest Avenue.

Home Depot customer parking

I use the home depot #453.

This store has certain employees who park their private vehicles in the very first spot, closest to the store. This deprives customers the ability to park close for an entire shift. The employee in this case drives a blue spider style motorcycle.

I have complained by phone to the store manager twice with no results.

I am disabled and sometimes the disabled spots are full. This forces me to walk further. But even if I was not disabled I would complain.

Now I have two complaints. One about the parking and one about the matter not being handled by the store manager.

You are not the only game in town. Just the closest. I can easily take my business elsewhere. The most important thing a company can have is customers but that seems lost upon the store manager and his employees.

Close up parking should be reserved for customers, even if the employee is shopping.

This has been on going for several months. I yelped the store and also filled out a less than glowing review on another site but apparently that was not read or was ignored.

Please take care of this. Your company is not putting it's best foot forward.

Home Depot kitchen cabinets

I contracted for #12, 000 worth of kitchen cabinets to be refaced during the week of 4/9 - 4/13.This contract was signed on 1/24/2018. The first day was wonderful. The local store was enthusiastic. The contractors from 3 hours away were competent. However, no one contacted me throughout the ordeal which has lasted until now, May 9, 2018 so far. I contracted for while I was on spring break from teaching for a job I was told would take three-four days. It is now May and I have pictures of the disastrous work that has been done. I did not hear directly from the project manager until I went to my local HOME DEPOT in Ranson, WV for help. They promised to check into things. My only contact for the job was a person who would call me for appointments and simply said "I understand" to everything I complained about. He knew nothing. I found out later he was 22 yrs. old.
I have paid plumbers 3 times to come in and take apart my kitchen sink because of the measurement errors that have taken place. I have had to do dishes in my bathroom for weeks because the order was incorrect. I have pictures of cabinets which were ordered and put on upside down. I have hosted two family events and now a funeral this weekend of a family member. I will tell them who did the work!
I am requesting a partial refund, payment of plumber (several - which the project manager has agreed to do). I don't feel I have received $12, 000 worth of quality work. I am a widow, college prof, and have never spent this kind of money on a project for myself.
I have gashes in my walls and I am told that's normal. There are separations between my countertop and the one they put on top of it. I am told they can't take care of the paint job necessary to cover up the plastering. "That's somebody else's responsibility". ONly two of the three sides of the countertop are beveled. Why wasn't I told anything ahead of time?
I will never contract HOMEDEPOT ( which I have always loved and spent money on French doors, etc) to do anything again. Things are still not corrected, and I am told no refund is possible since I signed a contract and wrote a check in full. I was told that's all I could do. Now I"m told I could have gotten a credit card and withold. Too late now to know that. I wasn't told that in the beginning. Yes, I signed a contract. I used to have complete faith and trust in HOMEDEPOT's work. no more.
I am so very sad. I have had two family gatherings and a funerl this week here. This is disgraceful. I should be compensated for 2 months of expenses, inconvenience, and shabby work.
I am very disappointed and will not do anything with HOMEDEPOT again except perhaps buy a light bulb there.

My contract number is: 5311719

Home Depot riding mower delivery

I ordered the Z Beast mower with home delivery. It was supposed to be delivered and unloaded at the house. The carrier called to say it didn't fit their liftgate so they sent the mower on a 53' Semi. I do have a tractor and loader so was able to unload the mower with chains by lifting it and backing it off the trailer. If anything would have broken or came unhooked the mower would have been ruined. I returned my original order email with this information but they apparently are not going to reply. At the least I should be reimbursed for the liftgate charge the carrier added.

Home Depot allure flooring

I had about 1000 soft of allure flooring installed 4 years ago in a house with with a concrete slab flooring. I also installed 1/4" plywood on top of the cSlab as a barrier for the allure. After about 12 months I noticed separation between the 6" planks and slight bucking. Over time both got worse until the bucking in the dining room got so bad it was a tripping hazard. Called the company and they sent a guy out to inspect the flooring. All I can say is the 25 year product warranty is a sham.. they declined my claim because I had a west facing window with blinds and it was seeing too much sun.. the blinds in that room are always closed so the flooring sees virtually my sun at all.. they also said the 57% humidity in the house was the wrong humidity for that time of the year... what a crock of [censored].

Do not buy Home Depot Allure flooring.. . it's a crap product and the warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Home Depot service at the door and window department

I had an appointment at 5:30 pm PST at the Silverdale, WA Home Depot, today, May 11, 2018. I had made this appointment May 6, 2018. This appointment was with the door and window department. I was going to purchase and have installed a screen door.
I arrived at the store at 5:13, used the restroom, and was at the department by 5:15. There was only one associate there, and she was already engaged with a customer. I made the decision to look through the doors and various pamphlets available. As I was looking at the doors an associate, Skip, looked at me and continued walking without acknowledging me.
As my 5:30 appointment time approached I returned to the counter, another customer came up and was acknowledged by the associate there, she had not once acknowledged me. She informed the customer that the other associate, Garrett, was still on lunch. The customer said he would be back and left. Garrett is the associate I was to have the appointment with. I continued to stand there, looking at pamphlets. Another customer approached, holding a frame for a door window. A few minutes later Garrett returned from his lunch. It was 5:35, five minutes after my prescheduled appointment. This other customer was acknowledged, where I was not. Garrett chose to help this man who arrived after I had, and who did not have an appointment.
Garrett continued to assist the customer, without acknowledging my presence. The customer stood and walked off to look at some products, another associate approached Garrett, they had an exchange of equipment, I still did not get acknowledged.
I waited till 5:45, half an hour after I had first arrived in the department and fifteen minutes after my scheduled appointment. Not once did I get acknowledged. I then left and went to the customer service desk where four associates were chatting. I asked if there was a manager on duty. One of the associates asked if there was anything that they could help with. I explained the situation, and the response I got was two of the other associates checking the schedule of employees with a "Garrett is usually really nice. That doesn't seem right."
The manager appeared, after being told that I wished to speak to him, he waited for me to approach him, instead of coming to greet me. I once again explained the situation, said that I was going to take my business elsewhere, and all I got was "Ok" and "Sorry". He then asked if I had interjected at any point to say I had an appointment. It is not my responsibility to say I have an appointment when I was at the department well before my appointment time, I am a woman, my name was available to Garrett who knew he had an appointment, and he was late, then when he returned didn't bother to acknowledge me and turned to the man standing there.
To me this was a clear decision on his part to not speak with me. I had intended to spend $200-$300 today, with plans to return for other instillations. I informed the manager that I did not wish to hear "Sorry", but rather that he would deal with the associate. To my back he said "I planned to."

At 6:30 pm I received a phone call from Garrett. He called to explain and apologize for the mix-up. He stated that the other associate had not informed him that his appointment was there, but since I was and had been standing there, it was not her job to let him know. He then stated that once he starts with a customer he tries to stick with them, giving them all his attention. I reminded him of the interaction with a fellow employee that was mid his taking care of that other customer.

I have limited spare time. I work full time, provide care for my disabled mother, and am in university. I made the appointment so that I could guarantee that I would get the screen door. The screen door was to be a gift for my mother. Being ignored by all associates that came in and around the department did not sit well with me. The feeling that the manager was just trying to get me to stop being angry made it worse. I did not appreciate lack of respect that I received. I know they did not like that I was angry, and do not know my personal situation, but their lack of caring caused even more frustration for me. I also did not appreciate a phone call from the associate that was supposed to have an appointment with me yet ignored me.

Home Depot consumer credit card

I was completely mortified and embarassed while in the store this evening. I need a roof for my home and chose to use HOME DEPOT. I had the quote and went in to take advantage of the zero percent 18 month promotion.
The process took so long the store closed. I ended up with the sales associate and the manager and was denied the consumer card even tho i have great credit. I am a full time worker and am married and have owned my own home for 5 years now. My bank loves me so why would i be denied by HOME DEPOT!?
I am doing a huge renovation of my home and doing a roof and HOME DEPOT has lost my faith and business!
I am a midde age woman who didnt deserve to be humiliated and kept in the store over an hour to be denied without reason.
Now i have to look elsewhere for a roof and full kitchen

Home Depot lawn treatment

I went in tonight to the Greenfield, In store to buy some lawn treatment. I mentioned it to the cashier at the lawn treatment I had bought last weekend leaked all over my brand new Jeep. I was not looking for a refund due to the fact I did not have my receipt or the empty bottle. The cashier told me to go to customer service since I paid with my credit card and they would take care of me. When I got in line the store manager Ed helped me. He asked me four times who told me that someone would help me with this re: replacement. He was very rude and condescending. He did not hand me a store receipt all he said was I took care of it it was taken care of. I headed back down to the other side of the store to pay for my items because he would not help me there. When I got to the other side the store I apologize to both cashiers I told them that their store manager Ed was an [censored]. Next thing I knew the store manager was at the end of the line and very rudely told the cashier I took care of it we will talk about this. I don't appreciate how he talk to me Or your employees. I shop there all the time and it makes me not want to go back into that store due to his rudeness. What happened to customer service these days? Like I said I was not looking for a refund I was just stating the fact and trying to get information if they had had trouble with these bottles before due to the fact it it leaked all over my car.

Home Depot delivery of flooring

I recently purchased some linoleum at Home Depot in Burlington, NC. I asked that it be delivered as I had no truck or person to help me carry it in the house. The delivery charge was $99 plus an additional $25 to have the flooring placed in the house. The house being delivered to is a rental house which I am have to renovate so it is currently unoccupied. It is located no more than 2 miles from Home Depot. The delivery charge was outrageous for the distance. The delivery person's behavior towards me was inappropriate. He was frustrated that he had to wait on me to get to the house to open the door, but he only gave me a 5 minute notice that he was on his way and I had explained to the sales person at Home Depot that I did not live at the house and could they please call me and give me an estimated time of arrival. When I got there he had already laid the flooring on the porch and just wanted me to sign some papers. I told him that I had paid extra to have the flooring put inside the house and he really was not happy about that. He shoved the flooring through the front door and slammed it on the floor and left. I have several thousands of dollars at Home Depot on this renovation project as well as many other purchases. The delivery fee was unreasonable for the distance and the attitude of the employee was offensive and unacceptable.

Typical. But where else are you gonna go? It's like 1955 all over again. 1 or maybe 2 stores with a product, and it costs exactly the same wherever you get it. No competition like there was 50 years ago. We are evolving backwards.

Home Depot service of salesmen

Very rude and non caring sales persons in the store. Everybody was rude in the store and no one wanted to help. We asked for help twice in two different areas and no one came. We were about to spend over 1, 000 dollars in store and walked away because of the customer service we never received. It's ridiculous because when we found the actual worker he was bent over the counter talking to a female... absurd!

Home Depot employee rudeness

Went shopping at the home depot in zachary, La because we are looking for new cabinets and the employee who so called helped us was rude. He didn't give us a chance to talk, he kept interrupting me. I won't be going back to that store for my new cabinets. I will find another home depot to shop at. The guy asked us for our measurements of the kitchen which we did have and he gonna say oh no I can't do nothing with that. His attitude was not helpful at all. We are new customers looking for new cabinets for our new house and he barely wanted to help or let us talk. . All we wanted was a consult from him because he knows more than we know.

Home Depot ge washer purchased online

We purchased a GE washing machine, model GTW680BSJ5WS, serial # FL151683G online in March to be delivered to our new home in Grand Junction, Colorado on April 5 along with a dryer and refrigerator. All were delivered with ease and by professional nice people. All seemed to be fine until we began to use the GE washer when it was discovered that the intake valve was malfunctioning. Even when the machine was powered off water continued to come into the washer. This is where our frustrations began. First I contacted the delivery people who told us we should call them the first year with problems. I was not able to get any help and when I got finally could reach a person it was for maytag and they would look up my order and then cut off my call. Next I called our local Grand Junction store and spoke with some one who said, you have to talk to GE. Then I had to set up an appointment with a local GE appliance repair company. He was very nice and came saying yes it needed a new intake valve however he would have to order it which would be at least another week to get it. That was last week and I am waiting to hear from him and feel it will be fixed. Now it is a month since our washer was delivered and I have to go to a laundry for washing clothes. Overall, we are very satisfied with our appliances and also purchased and had window coverings installed through Home Depot. We have found this washer to be a big problem for us and feel we should have been offered a new machine at the time this happened as one expects a new machine to work. Thank you. Home Depot windows

It is much too long a story to go into here. I can do that in a follow up with the all details. But the order I placed with Home Depot for windows for my home was, I believe, based on wrong and misleading information from the salesman and caused me to think that the only option in my price range was to purchase these windows I did not really want. I found out yesterday that this was not true and, as a result, I refused the installation and had the windows returned to their warehouse.
I have spoken and emailed and texted with multiple people at HD about this and now I am threatened with being charged a large sum of money if I do not accept what I ordered. I know they are trying to intimidate me into accepting the order I believe I was misinformed about.
The only reason I never cancelled, and I did contact them several times asking to cancel, was because I believed, based on what I was originally told, that I had no other options for the windows... so I was stuck with them even tho they were not what I really wanted. And, as I said, when they showed up yesterday to be installed, I was told the information I was given by the salesman initially was incorrect and I could have had, for the most part, what I wanted from the beginning.
So, I would like to open a formal dispute on this order to resolve what I believe to be a mistake on the part of Home Depot.
I do take responsibility for not cancelling. But I did that based on the erroneous information I had at the time the order was placed.
Please advise on how to proceed.

Sincerely, Barbra Rhinehart

Home Depot flooring installation

Signed contract with local Home Depot store on April 6, 2018 to purchase and install carpet and vinyl flooring in my basement. Contract stated Installer would contact me. On May 2, 2018, after about a month had elapsed and still no contact from Installer, contacted local store for assistance. Store employees were indifferent, unhelpful and even rude, suggesting they were not at fault and could not help. They said fault was with Installer and Supplier. They said they would have Installer call me on that date. Installer still has not called. I don't know the status of my contract or even if an Installer actually exists. Cannot wait much longer. Need to get work done. Home Depot people very defensive and deceitful, always shifting blame to others. Need to cancel contract and look for another flooring source, but not sure how to go about it. I chose Home Depot in an effort to save a few dollars. Bad mistake. Will not be repeated.

Home Depot tool rental

I recently rented a belt sander from the Home Depot tool rental department on Coors and I40 in Albuqueruque. New Mexico. Today I received a call from an individual at equipment recovery and I was told I owed money for the belt sander I paid for at the tool rental department. I promptly called the store to investigate as I had paid in full for this rental. It was at this point, after talking to a store manager named Vanessa, that I discovered a claim was made against me for a part that was missing from the belt sander when I returned it. Problem is: I did not know there was a part missing when I rented it and I was not responsible for it being missing. (Seems there was a clip that is attached to the bag of the sander that they are holding me responsible for losing). Hence this complaint. I was told that I now owe $81.00 for a missing clip that probably costs less than a dollar. The price for this item--$81.00--seems to have been compounded at a fixed price by Home Depot from the day I rented the unit. My opinion this is a dishonest practice for 3 reasons: 1. I was not aware of a missing part until the day I returned the belt sander and hence I do not believe I should be held accountable for it. 2. When I discussed the matter with the individual I returned the tool to--and informed him I did not see the part he claims was missing--he did not advise me I would have to pay compound daily interest for it. 3. The practice of trying to charge good and loyal customers excessive penalties for a missing part unknown to the customer seems not only unfair but dishonest and extortionate. I have spoken to management at the store level. I have contacted customer care and I am now sending this note to the corporate office and asking someone there to intercede on my behalf and to waive this fee. I also warn all potential customers who do business with Home Depot to be aware that their business practices and how they deal with good loyal customers is horrible. I have spent thousand upon thousands of dollars at Home Depot and to have this kind of treatment speaks volumes about what Home Depot thinks about loyal customers. If this issue is not resolved--and I am not absolved of any wrong doing and the extortionate penalty fee is not waived. I am going to spend my off time writing complaints about the dishonest practice here outlined and cease and desist from patronizing Home Depot immediately.
