After calling for months and being on hold each time 2+ hours, I still have a strong hate for this company. This all started in June 2022 when my mother passed and they froze our account. We set it up as a tenant in common account with me being the beneficiary. That did not matter! Nothing mattered! I spoke to several people who lied and had me jumping through hoops with forms and forms and forms. Submitting death certificates, letters of domicile, and the will, I was told I would be able to move 1/2 of the funds while I was awaiting my probate hearing. I was told they were sending me a check to write to myself and deposit it into my bank account. The check never came. I could never get the two people on the phone who told these lies to me so I spoke with a manager Jenna Schultz. Jenna proceeds to tell me that they are extremely short staffed and the new employees do not know all the rules and that I need to sympathize. WTF? I need to sympathize? My mother just passed and I have no money! Jenna assured me that once I got the letter of testamentary that all I will need to do is submit that and they will transfer the money. It's been months and I am having the probate hearing tomorrow so I called Jenna to make sure everything I needed could be submitted asap and the funds would be transferred immediately. Again, I was on hold for an hour and was told I could not speak with Jenna because she was not available. I spoke with Ricky Thakkar who told me that after I FAX (who has a fax machine?) the proper form then I will need to wait for it to be approved from their legal dept. How is there no modern technology at this company? Why can't I submit the forms as a PDF? I was told they do not give out their email addresses. He then states this process is CLIENT DRIVEN- meaning I will need to call and be on hold for god knows how many days for 2+ hours to check and make sure the legal department received the forms. THEN I will need to call back and give a VERBAL AUTHORIZATION to their distribution team letting them know I want them to release the funds. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I've been calling since JUNE! Why do I need to give a verbal authorization? I told him to mark it in my file that I am authorizing. He refused.

The amount of back and forth and waiting on hold and jumping through hoops and never getting an email address or extension number of anyone working their is such a big fat JOKE! They made my mothers death extremely stressful for me. I hate this company! I would never do business with them OR Bank of America. They are horrible!

I think people should be warned that when you put a Pay on Death Beneficiary on your Merrill Lynch account, it does not mean that they will easily receive the money. My father passed at the end of June. After jumping through all of their hoops, I still can't get my father's money because they transferred the money to the wrong account. Will file suit.

My father has a check here from 2018. I’ve called and spent hours on the phone trying to find out where he can get another check disbursed. No one is helping us. I keep getting the run around. He wants his hard earned money and no one will help us. I have the original check here and they can’t find him in the system. He has dementia and can’t remember much of anything so I’d really like to get this resolved asap. Every little bit helps since he is in a home now. I’m his daughter and have power of attorney.

In October 2021 I file for beneficiary of my husband’s Merrill Edge account. I am sole beneficiary. In November they needed a Death Certificate. December needed certificate of domicile. All I wanted to do was have everything transferred into my name. Called in February everything ok. I get an email in March everything will be finalized soon. Call in August they need more paperwork, now need L8. Send that. Now they need me to go to one of their offices and bring federal ID, ss card, bill showing where I live. I have not had any access to this account since October. They also state the account lost money, my loss.

Never want to do business with them. Would never recommend. No one needs to jump through this many hoops when dealing with the death of a loved one

I have provided all necessary PW to retrieve my funds and I started this is JULY 1st, and have not heard a thing from you until I finally called the complaint dept this past Thursday, 9/8/22. I finally spoke to Tiffany Williams who promised me she would call me back by the end of the day on Thursday to confirm she received my documents that we determined were needed. I have emailed her back begging for a response. She will not respond, nor would she give me here direct number.

WHY are your hold times to speak to someone 2 hours then the automated system hangs up on me.

My Brother is also a Beneficiary. We mailed both our packets to you on July 1st.

Tiffany told me they do not have his. I gave her a new address for my brother, to please mail him a new packet. Why is this so difficult? When will we receive our money? Should we contact an attorney?

I am the Trustee of my late brother's Trust. I have completed all of the paperwork to have his Merrill account closed and the balance of his Trust account transferred to the BofA bank account that I opened for his Trust proceeds. Vezzafina in your Menifee, California BofA branch has devoted herself to getting this process completed for me. Even she, as a Merrill employee has been frustrated with Merrill's lack of communication regarding this process. She has tried so hard to get this done for me.

In the meantime, I have managed to clean out my brother's house, get it listed and sold, with the escrow closing next week, while Merrill sits on my brother's money. I find the excuse that the department who handles this kind of situation is so very busy. They are apparently even too busy to communicate with one of your own employees, let alone with me.

This kind of treatment is inexcusable and as the Trustee of my late brother's account, it is a treatment that I don't deserve after the loss of my brother.

Incidentally, BofA has closed his checking and savings accounts and paid me the money that was in those accounts. If only Merrill could be as efficient.

I would like to get information on my accounts but do not have a password or user id. I live in the UK and used to work for OSI & Amgen pharmaceuticals. I do not get statements on the accounts and not sure what has happened to these dormant accounts. I have tried to log into without much success.

This started in Late 2021 when my husband passed away. He left his IRA to me and I have ben given the run around ever since. I send notarized copies of everything asked for numerous times. Have even gotten an affidavit and court order and can not get a phone call answered or an email responded to. It is one excuse after another and I guess I will let the judge know his order was ignored.

I have a Walmart 401K plan managed by Merril Lynch once i reach a certain dollar amount i transfer the money from my 401 to my Merly lynch edge cash management account.

As i am now 60 in the vent a issue occurs, and the family needs a little cash i can pull out the cash out of the edge and transfer to my Suncoast federal Credit Union

seems that more than one if i do two withdrawals from the edge account to the Suncoast credit union one is recorded and transfer and the other disappears in this case i have 105.00 that is listed in the edge account and has been transferred to the Suncoast back but not the balance in the Lynch account still shows 105.00 but O in the ledger and the Suncoast bank never got it

I can no liger email them or send document they removed that function for there Sofware all i can do is someone pickup on the phone good luck with that

I have several dividends that are not moved to my account nor they are sent to me via check. These dividends are missing. I have called several times, but no resolution. First, it takes more than 1 hour to reach a person on the number shown. We are busy is automated message every time, every day. Second, there is no resolution of my problems. I have not received the dividends. Now I am looking a way to move my account to other company, because the customer service on Merill is very poor. There are different answers from different reps but my dividends are just sitting in Merill Lynch activity page and they are never moved to my checking account.

For the past few days I have made numerous attempts to speak with a ML customer representative. I need to transfer a cash dividend held at ML to my checking account at BOA. I called the [protected] number, was put on hold, but no one picked up after up to 30 minutes on hold. Sometimes I was on hold up to 45 minutes. I went to the ML office at my Bank of America office, talked with their representative there who said he couldn't help me with the transfer (?) and gave me another nbr to call [protected]. Same result. Then the BOA representative told me to call [protected]. Same result, put on hold, musak, no one picks up. I'm very worried something is wrong with Merrill Lynch and I plan to call the business reporter at my newspaper and ask for his help or if he knows something. Are they bankrupt? I need to be connected with a live person to transfer this money to my checking account.

My father passed away in December 2020. Somewhere along the way, I became aware of an IRA account my father had with Merrill-Lynch. I started attempting to get this transferred into another account I (the executor of the estate) could withdraw and parcel out to the others in my father's will and myself. I finally was able to get some movement in August of 2021 (almost a year at the time of this review). I submitted a document and then... Heard NOTHING. I finally started calling the customer service line, each time waiting on hold no less than an hour and 20 minutes. It turned out there were errors on the form submission. NOBODY contacted me to let me know. The validity of the form expired and required re-submission. Again, nobody contacted me. I sent emails. NONE of which were answered by my current case manager.

Yesterday, I actually did finally get a call from my case manager. He told me the new account (evidently, they simply cannot terminate the account of my deceased father and release the funds to the estate bank account) was awaiting approval and that he would call me back later in the day. It was no surprise to me the call back did not take place.

Today, I called AGAIN. This time on hold for one hour and 52 minutes. I was told again they are awaiting creation of the new account. The amount of money is neither monumental nor life-changing. I simply want to FINALLY be able to put my father's account and the estate to rest. The lack of empathy, care or honesty is simply staggering. I feel for the poor customer service people who have to answer these calls. The daily grind they're subjected to from people justifiably angry, frustrated and disgusted with their employer has to be soul crushing.

Merrill Lynch issued a disbursements in 2 checks (one saving and one checking) from a decedent account. It was required to have BOTH executors sign agreement per instructions of Merrill Lynch.. However, only one executor signed and Merrill Lynch released the funds.

I want to open an inquiry to why this was allowed.

I am attaching a copy of both the letter from Merrill Lynch requiring the 2 signatures as well as the check. I am the second executor whose name was not added to the check. The first executor has or had the funds exclusively.

Have tried to login into my account on 25 May and 26 May 2022. I can change a password and it confirms that the password has been changed successfully but when I try again, it gives me an error.

You have locked me out of my account. I tried to contact you on April 15, 16, 18. Wasted hours on hold each day. I wanted to access tax information to file my taxes and I wanted to sell Netflix. Your Complete, total and inexcusable lack of service has cost me $1000 since Netflix has subsequently fallen like a rock plus IRS late fees

Mother died in 2018. tried to get her account closed. i have been trying for the last 2 years to close it. I have spoken to 3 different agents and provided all necessary information several times with each new person. Each new agent told me i needed more paperwork which was supplied. The last time i spoke to an agent i was told the paperwork submitted so i had to supply new paperwork. (ridiculous). I did so in January this year and when i emailed the paperwork i asked to be notified if there was anything additional needed. I did not hear back.

As of this date i have not received the check. (half of the proceeds are going to my brother (who i was told had submitted all the correct paperwork) and half to me. I emailed the last two days and he never got back to me.

This morning I called the last agent and i was on hold for 40 min. I then called another general customer service number and waited another 30 min. Did everybody quit,? because noone answwers the phone, or offers a callback. I am livid that what should have been an easy transaction has turned into an unbelievable fiasco. I am sure the value has gone down and will continue to due to the lack of attention to this matter. By the way, i tried to login and afyer the second wrong login my account was frozen. Another phone call was made to unlock and once again i was put on hold for another 10 min.

This account was open without my knowledge. Please close it!
