My sister and I went for last minute Valentines Day items. We first stopped by the floral section then made our way around the store till we got to the Valentines aisle. While looking for items my sister mentioned that an employee kept looking at us. At first I just told her he's not cause he was stocking/moving Valentines items. At the line I noticed an employee staring at us and she wasn't trying to hide it. Now that was making me uncomfortable, didn't say anything because I didn't want to make a big deal. When we were called up next the women followed us and literally stood a little bit away at the end of the register while I unloaded my items from my bag to the counter. I don't know if the employees do that with every customer but I did not appreciate being kept an eye on while shopping. That is rude, invading my space and uncomfortable. Only staff that was polite to my sister and I was the cashier Allison A, thank you for treating us like customers.

Hobby Lobby Stores hobby lobby lost a customer

Saturday February 1st 2020 my husband and I were to Hobby Lobby . We bought 9 different items and expend $77.41. One of the items was a metallic Home Décor for our house (I paid $17.49). We paid all these items at 7:55pm. The store closed at 8:00 pm. My husband loaded the items in our car except the metallic Home Décor. Later we realized that we did not bring the metallic Home Décor and we came back to the store. All shopping cars were inside the Store. Sunday the store was closed. Today, Monday February 3rd in the morning, I went to the store and I asked if somebody returned the item or an employee found it in the shopping car. One of the cashiers told me that the shopping cars are entered to the store right after the store closes. The cashier spoke with the manager of the store. The manager informed that nobody returned the item. When I asked if anything can be done, they told me that I have to pay the full price for the item when on Saturday was 50% off. The manager did not talk with me and they did not give me any reasonable solution. While I understand that it was our mistake I was expecting that they will offer me the item for the same price that I paid on Saturday. I am not going to return and buy anything else at Hobby Lobby.

Hobby Lobby Stores either a cashier mistake or a computer glitch... which?

Thursday, January 16, 2020: Don't we all know that all the items (without a credit sign and without any subtractions at the end) on the right column of the sales slip are our charges. I noticed a charge for $9.99 and under it a $4.99 which was the sale price of the same item (Paper Studio). So not only was I charged the correct half price of the item but also the full price on top of that. I also confirmed it later using the calculator. Also, Hobby Lobby does not use SKU numbers making it harder to identify a specific item. I knew I had no other purchaes for $9.99. However, when I told the manager this was a mistake, she doubted my honesty though we checked off all the items. I asked her if she thought I had it hidden in the car (since I'd already taken my purchases out and was looking over my slip). Her words: "Do I have to check?" "No!" I replied. I was embarrassed to think she suspected me of dishonesty, though it is conceivable individuals may do that. The cashier for the refund the manager authorized (not the orginal cashier) was very gracious saying that mistakes like that do happen.

My question is: How can an advertised sale item keyed into the system appear on the checkout charging BOTH the original price and the sale price? Will Hobby Lobby be able to address this glitch for those unsuspecting customers? The only solution I can think of is to never neglect checking diligently the sales slip before walking out of the store, though sometimes this can be difficult to do on a tight schedule. Your word may not suffice.

Hobby Lobby Stores Customer service (lack of)

I went into the hobby lobby store in morton grove, il 60053 (a relatviely new location) and this was my first visit ever to a hobby lobby. I was told they are a christian store and closed on sundays, so I wanted to give them my business to support them.
I will never visit a hobby lobby location anywhere again. Verrrrry, very rude, unprofessional and unhelpful employees ever! I encountered three employees and each and every one was unfriendly and not helpful. I bought some fabric and "she" (no name tag) was so cavalier and of no help at all. The cashier (janette c listed on my receipt) was giving the person ahead of me a hard time while checking out and when it my turn - no greeting, no smile no acknowledgement, not even a thank you. (there was only one cashier). I could have very easily gone to the michael's across the street, which is normally where I spend my money, but thought i'd give hl a chance. My mistake!
I went online and now see hobby lobby gets lots of complaints and not just this store or even in il. It appears their poor customer service, discrimation and harassment happen in many states! Very sad!

Hobby Lobby Stores stereotyping, harassment

I am retired and went to your store with my daughter to get some ideas for Christmas on the evening of November 30, 2019. We always take our time and have fun looking but for an unknown reason were followed around the whole time we were there. A woman followed my daughter and a man kept watching me. Suggestions: a few larger shopping carts (we had no place to put our coats but in the carts) and a bucket or small container to put "little" things in without them falling out of the cart. When we went to check out the man raised his voice unnecessarily saying "No one shops for 3 hours!" and he could "arrest my daughter for stealing" because she put a few small items in a case she was buying to keep from them falling out. The woman watching her saw her put the items in but did not offer any assistance or solutions. We were both so upset that we left half the items there and the girl at checkout did not assist either of us with our coupons. Between the two of us, we have over 55 years working with customers. Businesses usually would like customers to take their time and enjoy their stores. The longer you shop, the more you buy...right? Your Orem store blew it! We were and are both embarrassed, and very upset. I hope you might try my suggestions and help make shopping at your stores more pleasant for any future customers.

omg! i was handcuffed and threatend at hobby lobby for a check i wrote that I PAID! from july and this happend in january! This is FAR from a christian store! and they are rude and of no help.. i was handcuffed and then told i coul dgo after three hours! definatly working on the lawyer this will not go dismissed! i called corporate you kno wwhat they did sent it to district manager! who sent me a cold letter saying they were right! i had to file a police report on hobby lobby and the officers! i woul dtell everyone they are shady and theives themselves!

Hobby Lobby Stores check out service.

So im in check out and im about to pay the girl I hand her an old $20 bill as policy they check the big bills under a light she had the bill double checked by 2 other workers before calling the manager up bec some green light wouldn't show up when she ran the bill I told her I got money from the atm and it gave me a bunch of old $20 bills. The manager came up checked it again under the machines light and askec me if I had another form of payment I said yes but I didn't want to use my card he said we cand except my $20. I was so pissed off I walked out without my items.
First of all my time was wasted having my $20 bill being passed around from worker to worker an not to mention the girl checking me out had asked for my other $20 bills that were also old I was so hesitant to give her. Secondly the manager didn't even bother to use a counterfeit pen on my bill which was stupid obviously if ur machine isnt doing the job go to the next step.
Well I bought a counterfeit pen from staples and checked all 9 of my $20 bills all came out clean. Def not happy about how they were.

Some people are stupid and can't spot older money and therefore should not be cashiers. I have been a pt cashier at home depot three nights a week for a long time before that I was a cash mgr for best buy. I work days as an hr manager for an insurance firm now but am a single mom hence two jobs. They need to train cashiers better and for longer periods of time to make them be able to identify money a little more effectively!

Hobby Lobby Stores service

I was at hobby lobby on Wednesday, as soon as walked in I had staff following me around the store watching me. "Stereotyping me". I felt very stereotyped, as I went to the register to buy my items I was watched as I paid for my items, on the way out the door the staff proceeded to take pictures of my car, I asked can I help you? He said no, and continued to take pictures of my car. All I did was walk in the door and got stalked for assuming I was going to steal items from the store. It was very uncomfortable and not sure I will ever be back. I should not have been treated like that!

Hobby Lobby Stores cashier

First time in this store and I go to check out. The cashier doesn't say hello or anything and I hand her my coupon and she smarts off telling me I cannot use it on sales items. That fine I knew that but I honestly did not check the price on a single item I purchased. I got smart back and said just check me out. The manager I am assuming asks if everything is okay and I say no and she turns to the other employee and starts talking to her again. Then the cashier wraps both of my ornaments in the same paper. I start to leave and the cashier tells the person behind me hello how are you. I will not ever go back in this store. Store # 804

Hobby Lobby Stores coupon

For years I have shopped at hobby lobby for both personal and business. I have always used the coupon when available and used for two transactions if I was buying personal and paying with my personal credit card and business when paying with the business card. Today the cashier would not let me use a coupon for two completely separate transactions, something that has never happened. They told me it has always been this way but that is false as I have always paid separate and used separate coupons for business and personal. This really upset me and I was embarrassed severely as they basically called me a liar in the fact that I have always done this. Very disappointed !

Hobby Lobby Stores store stock vs online info

This company not only has the rudest employees and management that doesnt give a [censored], but they cant even bother to coordinate what they say they have online in store with what actually is in store. Most pathetic seeing section ive ever seen but tons of xmas and pottery deco JUNK. Wasted trip wasted time wasted patience. To hell with hobby lobby wasting peoples time by lying to them about stock.

As I'm waiting in line and the customer in front of me was checking out, as he was the employee Named Rita G started talking to another customer in another line and started ignoring him. He said thanks have a good day and she still continued to talk to someone else. As I approached the desk she said nothing to me but continued to talk to the other customer. And I wait there not being helped for almost a minute she finally starting ringing me up. Doesn't say anything to me and still continues to talk to someone else. Only when she has my total does she tell me my total I give her the money and she gives me my change I said thanks and she replied and said nothing to me once again. Now I'm not the type of person to typically complain about service, but when I'm being completely ignored and not even thanked for my purchase I think that's completely not ok. I love Hobby Lobby and I will never return to this location again.

Hobby Lobby Stores customer service

I had four items all the same with one being a different price, a lower price. A manager was paged several times, never showed. I waited well over 10 minutes. There were several long lines of people waiting. This was very unacceptable treatment of a customer. I am a very laid back person, but this was ridiculous. Poor treatment of the cashier, very unprofessional behavior. Someone needs to check out what these managers were doing that one couldn't come settlement this issue. Everyone in line was aware of what was going on. I'll think twice about going back to hobby lobby...

Hobby Lobby Stores why hire people if they won’t help you

Tonight during my trip to hobby lobby there were 3 registers open. Only 2 had lines on them. I did my shopping and paid on the register all the way to the right. I wasn't able to catch the name of the older gentleman with glasses 50s/60s on the register all the way to the left. Instead of letting customers know he was open he was hiding in his register. Literally. I walked over to ask for help and before I got to him he duck on his cubicle/register area. Should of been the first warning sign right there. I didn't care and proceeded to walk towards him. I asked him for help on an item hanging on the wall. His reply was I can't get on a ladder, to which I said well can you call for help then? He told me yes thats what he's going to have to do. Again the other 2 registers were busy with lines. The next 5 minutes my mother and I just stood there looking at this older gentleman. He didn't move. Then we asked him if he was going to get the help/call someone. He literally just stood there. No pager, he didn't even look at someone, but repeated the same as before. I felt like I was in one of those pranked shows, or it was a joke. Finally we walked out because if you're going to hire people who can't even bother to call someone who can help when they clearly don't want to, is not the place I want to shop at.

Today Oct. 19, 2019, I had an awful experience with customer service. I normally get good customer service, but today there was a lady who would not give me a price check to confirm the price of an item I got from the clearance section that had the top off. The other wall stick on was $6.49. So, I thought it was the same. I went back to the back to get another item to show her the price. The cashier sold me the one I bought up to show the price. When I got outside, I checked and realized I had the wrong item. I went back to the store to ask about the one I wanted. I, then asked for a price check about 5 times and she would say it is going to be $34.99. We all needed to confirm what I thought was for the cashier to do a price check. The attendant that stands in front of the lanes kept saying it is still going to be $34.99 with the top off the tube. All could have been resolved if she would not have had such an attitude and allowed the cashier to do a price check, then everything would have been confirmed with the price. I do not appreciate being treated so rudely in what is supposed to be a customer-centric business. If she treats all the customers this way, you are going to lose business because a simple effort could have continued the strong reputation I was associated with your company. Now I do not see Hobby Lobby as being customer-centric if you are going to allow people like this to work in your store. A simple price check and a little customer service skills would have been the thing to do. The desirable resolution would be a price check for the wall stick on and if it is the clearance price, I would like the item and an apology from Hobby Lobby for allowing rude associates who do not understand customer satisfaction means a lot to a business.

Hobby Lobby Stores unicorn projector light

See attached 2000 words on previous statements I just sent? The item started on fire, black smoke and I could have lost everything I owned in this world! Because of cheap purchasing stores selling garage faulty products for profit... I took pictures and videos of faulty wires and where the flame burnt the light it self. I also have physical witnesses that saw this happen in person. It could of been a really bad situation! And I tried filing a accident claim form with the store itself. No mgr on duty, rude employees and no accident claim forms! How scary is this unicorn projector light! The store's selling it for profit? And for kids and claiming they're christian based? For real? What type of people do this?

Hobby Lobby Stores store manager

My friend & I visited this store on 10/3/19 - at check out there were only two checkers with customer standing in line past the first main isle of the Store.. Store manager walked by & we asked about sending more help to checkout to which she rudely replied I don't have any ! No I'm sorry -
Later she came back opened a register & started hand picking customers to checkout ! I have never seen this before- it's usually next customer in line .. we, all got with others in line couldn't believe what we were seeing. Her name is Angelic- photo attached !

Hobby Lobby Stores fabric

I bought a cut of fabric and got it home to find that it was very crooked on the bolt and by the time I had it straight I was losing 5 inches. I went back to the store and they told me they couldn't do anything about it. It was no longer on sale and I ended up having to buy a whole new piece plus an extra 1/4 yard to make sure I had enough to account for the crookedness, at full price. I have a toddler and a young baby so even having to go back to the store was a major inconvenience in itself. I've always been happy with your merchandise and the politeness of your employees but this time was very disappointing. The person even made it sound like it was a common thing. At the very least you should have your employees warn customers to buy extra or just give some extra. I'm familiar with fabric and expect some shrinkage or being off a bit but 5 inches is more than I should need to account for.

Hobby Lobby Stores harassment by employees

I am an avid crafter. That being said the closest hobby lobby to me is about an hour away so I don't get to go there often. However 2 days a month I work in pensacola where it is. After a very long tuesday at work my coworker and I decided to go shop at this store. Upon entering I noticed in the first couple of aisles we were in a man on a phone was standing at the end of each aisle. I didn't pay much attention because I was loving all the christmas products they had out. But then a short stocky woman, who's name I came to find out at the end of this is tina, started following my friend and i. When I say followed I mean she was within 5 feet of me the whole time I was in the store. It was very aggravating. I'm a paying customer trying to have fun picking out things I don't get to see that often. Needless to say after an hour of her following us I confronted her. I asked if there was a problem and she said no. I asked why she was following us and she said she was just an employee. She said that over and over again. I told her I was almost ready to put down all my merchandise (around $200 worth) down and leave and she offered to take my basket.! I am beyond disgusted with how we were treated. I spend around $5000+ on craft supplies a year. I will never shop at the store again. She stalked us, harassed us, and if I knew how I would have her fired for doing this. She followed us literally to the registers where she went and hid by the manager who stayed as far from us as he could at that point. I would love an explanation for all of this. Absolutely disgusting.

Hobby Lobby Stores register lines and employees

I was in one line behind 3 guys trying to purchase something and charge it to their company account; I stood in line behind them for at least 10 minutes, while there were 2 employees talking right next to that register, not opening another one. The other line was at least 8 people long and not moving. So when I realized that the line I was in was not going anywhere, I asked one of the employees not doing anything, "are you going to open another line because we are all just standing here." she did not look at me but gestured with her arms and said, "there is only one line open." and walked away not ever saying sorry or I can't open one or any other reason.
I have spent thousands in that store and I put my stuff down and left. I know my measley amount of money will do no harm to them, but I can't go to a store and give my money to people who don't care about their customers. They need to open more registers as we, as artists count on them to respect us as customers. Fort collins colorado needs to be aware that many women are always standing around while customers are waiting for a while. Thank you.
