Hit Web Design took money will not do the work

Same deal as everyone else they call and call and call BEFORE they have your money then stop. HOwever TELL THEM YOU WILL ONLY PAY $50.00 TO $100.00 DOWN

Here is the funniest part. I saw all of the complaints on the board and told them that based on their information on the internet that claims that they are liars, thieves, and rip offs. They tried to say that anyone who has built as many sites as them will have some unhappy customers but percentage wise that number was acceptable.
So They cut the price to 1/5 of the original quote and I told them I would give no more than $100.00 up front which they agreed to. Then the next
3 days my account manager switched twice and each one tried to sell me more items to add on. I told them several times NOT UNTIL ITS BUILT. Finaly I told the last guy that There is no way in Hell I am giving you anymore money until it built. Well that was it, That’s the last time I was able to have contact with anyone there. No return calls no return emails NOTHING……
I contacted BofA and they opened up a claim and assured me I will be getting my money back…..
SO IF YOU FEEL INCLINED TO USE THEM MAKE SURE THAT YOU SAW ALL OF THE [redacted]S AND THAT YOU WILL ONLY GIVE THEM $100.00 TO START………OR JUST TAKE THE ADVICE OF EVERYONE AND DON’T USE THEM……… Here are the people that I had contact with…….

FYI: The Heraldextra did not check out any facts and therefore its new release is flawed and primarily the words of a criminal defense attorney Sonny Olsen. Any other releases using this information are also flawed.

One must ask who Sonny Olsen actually represents? Kevin Morrill i.e. isowebworks etc or Heritage Management Services, LLC aka Heritage Web Solutions aka Hit Web Design aka David Aiken, Mark Strong, Leah Young, Eddie Dockery, Bradford Stone? Remember that Kevin Morrill was a key management member of HIT and is family related to David Aiken. He claims to have quit March 4, 2011, the day that employees at Hit were made aware of the lies that were being told. Kevin claims to start up a new company within 4 days with 20 new employees from HIT. That takes a lot of capital, equipment, software and leads etc.
Why has Sonny Olsen participated in a campaign to clear Kevin Morrill and isowebworks. Isn’t this a conflict of interest?

Kevin Morrill told employees he was in the same boat as them. Kevin did not sleep in his car in the freezing cold because he was locked out of his apartment because he was not paid his wages. Kevin Morrill did not beg for patience to keep a roof over his head because he was not paid his waged for weeks and weeks. Kevin Morrill was paid.

One must ask how much money was taken from people under false or misrepresentation of products or services when the tax bill is 17.1 million. If 17.1 is representative of a 20 percent tax that would make the take $204 million dollars from around the world. Not to mention the Hatti donations that HIT took from its employees and the public. No one has released any confirmation that the funds taken in for Hatti actually went to Hatti. These pages now reside under http://hithumanitarian.com/hit-hope.shtml Do not make any contributions through this site.

HIT’s web pages for sales leads remained up and running for days before posting a notice of its closing.

Any former customer of HIT who has been contacted by Isowebworks, PPC Management, Hit development, remoteitresources or any related company should contact the Utah County Attorney’s office directly.

Ask yourself if the same people are running a new company with the same equipment, the same people, the same software that they have placed their new logo on, why would you expect different results?

People have been scammed and defrauded. Any attempts to profit there from is inappropriate.
Anyone who wishes can prepare a site for free at http://demo.joomla.org/ It has been designed for non-programmers to get their sites up quickly and easily. Within minutes or the same day your site is up and running. The site you create will look professionally prepared for free.

You can do social sites, e-commerce sites, and much much more.
Who uses Joomla?
MTV Quizilla
Here are just a few examples of Web sites that use Joomla:
* MTV Networks Quizilla (Social networking) - http://www.quizilla.com
* IHOP (Restaurant chain) - http://www.ihop.com
* Harvard University (Educational) - http://gsas.harvard.edu
* Citibank (Financial institution intranet) - Not publicly accessible
* The Green Maven (Eco-resources) - http://www.greenmaven.com
* Outdoor Photographer (Magazine) - http://www.outdoorphotographer.com
* PlayShakespeare.com (Cultural) - http://www.playshakespeare.com
* Senso Interiors (Furniture design) - http://www.sensointeriors.co.za

Check out their sample sites and portfolios at http://community.joomla.org/showcase/
A Joomla site through the Demo is hosted for the first 30 days for free on cloudaccess.net. You can move your site to any hosting company you desire.

If you need to add a feature to your site like a shopping cart the add-ons are free or have minimal costs of $0-$30. If you wish to change something the software helps you do that for free. If there is a feature that you would like and there is not an add-on available, you can make a request for help. The costs are reasonable. There are no high pressured sales people to worry about.

Joomla is type of software that allows companies like isowebworks and PPCmanagementllc to produce a website for your review quickly. They are not building your site nor coding to build your site. They use free open source packages like Joomla to build the sites. This software is available to the public (you) for free. Why pay someone else to do this when you can do it yourself with ease and for free. Before you pay someone to build your site give Joomla a try.

Joomla is a free open source content management system (CMS). Some companies put there name on top of the CMS and call it their product when in fact it is the work of many who have devoted their time to the free open source development projects.

We are not against anyone choosing to pay someone to create the sites using Joomla. We are only against not giving credit to the free open source community who actually developed the programs such as Joomla and disclosing its usage to the public.

Because of the short amount of time it takes to build a site with Joomla, use care when paying someone to build your site. Make sure they have actually built sites from scratch and understand CSS, XML, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Perl, and AJAX at a minimum. Make sure they have and are building some sites from scratch or have disclosed to you that they only use a CMS. Make sure it is disclosed in your contract if they will build the code themselves and have qualified programmers or use free open source software.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
1. Never sign a contract that does not provide a full refund if you are not satisfied with the product or service.
2. Make sure that you do not pay for hosting until your site is live and functioning the way you requested.
3. Make sure that you ”own” your site code with no strings attached except payment for the building of the site as agreed to in writing.
4. Never sign an agreement that does not require a deadline for building the site or provides for phased rollout with deadlines of features. You can even request that there is a penalty for each day the site is past the due date to motivate the completion of the site.
5. Never agree to jurisdiction outside of your own state or country.
6. Never agree that the full price as been earned or is due unless the site is built to your satisfaction.
7. Make sure you have documentation of what is in scope of your request and what is out of scope for your request. Get it in writing.
8. Never let anyone pressure into purchasing anything. Tell them that you need to review it with your partners and that until you have your partner”s sign off you can not make the purchase. Then take the time to research and review the information before you buy. Get a family member or trusted friend to be your partner in helping you make the decision. Get three opinions before you buy. If you are uncomfortable in any way don’t buy. It is better to wait than be sorry.
9. Always read the terms of the agreement before you sign. If you don’t like the terms you can change them. Any company that is unwilling to work with you on the terms is giving you a sign of what is ahead. Run don’t walk away from a company that is unwilling to work with your terms.

I just contacted the Utah County Attorneys office and they now have an OPEN case against them. I told them of my horror stories and they told me that they can't hide behind their LLC. She also stated that there are hundreds of complaints from businesses and now they are getting complaints from ex employees. so if you are an ex employee, i suggest you contact utah county attorneys office. What they did was criminal. KNOWING that they are closing and having employees work. Its ironic that they closed their doors when the employees should have received their checks.. how ironic...

I worked for HIT for just a few months. By far the worst place I have ever worked for and had the job market not been so bad in Utah, I never would have worked there. Try being an employee trying to sort through 80-120 calls a day (all complaints in my time being there) and also trying to learn their ropes of the business. Asking questions to "supervisors" who are too busy to answer a question. My favorite was a conversation that went something like this... ME TO SUPERVISOR: I have so and so on the phone and he is upset because his site is live. There are several issues that should have been done before it went live. He feels the designer tricked him into going live because he doesnt feel he told him to go live. SUPERVISOR TO ME: Oh well, not my fault he accepted it. Tell him it will cost XX amount to fix it or he can purchase HIT DESIGNER and make changes himself.
Imagine getting this response as an employee and as a customer? It was hard on several employees while I worked there because of this company wide attitude. This is only 1 story. I was there for every single one of my shifts for the few months I was there. So imagine how many nightmares I have with this company. The complaints they hear about the awesome BBB rating they have... they will tell you oh well any big company will have several complaints. Look at WalMart. Well, HIT is one entity. One rinka dink building in the middle of Utah. Its nowhere close to being on the same scale as WalMart. So if your looking for web design and your thinking about hiring this company. Think about it, if a business had good business ethics (even if you find a few people that arent fans) do you think they would have this many complaints? I think not. You find trouble when you look for trouble. This company will squeeze you for whatever they can then put you on the back burner.

The liens have not received any payment. The labor board has not received payments. Outsource is not paid. In house is not paid or should it be said that family members are paid.

I have to admit that everything that i have read here is true. Its a shame that theye have scammed so many people. I dont think dave aitken or the other management really tries to scam people up front. I honestly dont think that is their intial intention. The problem is that there is so much pressure to sell that the sales people say anything to get the sell. Also, I noticed that about 2 years ago very few people complained. Now, its almost every phone call. They have no collateral, cash or anything of value for when they go bankrupt. (which will be soon). Now, the owners can be accused of scamming people because they know of the problems and dont fix them. I think that they are hoarding every dime right now. Where is all their money going? maybe towards all the liens? I just cant believe that they have lasted this long. If you are with hit web design. I would xfer your domain now... the clock is ticking and you will be holding the bag. I wonder if criminal charges could be put against the main principles?

Hit Web Design Scam

This company did not start work our website for one year, then we had to pay outside firms to complete the project at a cost of thousands. This is after over 800 emails to them and hundreds of call. They also did not keep the quotes they gave and we got sucked in for more money thinking it would be cheaper than hiring a new firm - it was not. The company is a bunch of kids - it is very hard to find an adult to talk with. I wrote the CEO numerous times - no response. No one in this company is responsible for anything. It is always someone else. We had so many people changes - it was actually hard to count. Some just said - I don't want to do it. Other wher fired. When you find an adult chances or someone honest - chances are they will be fired. They will not answer you in writing.

Hit Web Design Rip Off Artists

DO NOT...under any circumstances ever consider hiring HIT Web Design to develope a website for you or your company! I hired HIT Web Design in December 2009 to build a website. It was to be a totally custom website that they said would be completed within two months. I was going to be charged $10, 000.00 for it. Six weeks went by and the price increased to $13, 500.00, then I find out later that they purchased a pre-packaged program in which I could have purchased myself for $795.00. The program they purchased was encrypted with IONCUBE. They tried to modify the program, but they could not get the program to function correctly. I have tried to talk to them about this, and have been very patient with all of the incompetent, arrogant employees that they have working there, including one of the owners (Mark Strong). What I purchased and what they want to give me now are two totally different things. I did not agree to purchase a pre-packaged program that a bunch of half witts have tried to patch together to make it somewhat work. I had an agreement with these people to build a nice, operational, fully functional website, according to the database specifications for the project. Now, a year later the website is still not functional, or what I had agreed to purchase. They are saying that I either have to accept the program "as is" or pay them more money to complete it as it was supposed to be. I am not willing to do either of those things! So, in conclusion, save yourself the headache, find a different web developer. Spend the time to do research on whoever you choose to build your website, but if you don't want to get ripped off, stay away from HIT Web Design!

I was looking for a company to provide a knockout website at a good cost. They gave me a good song and dance and I bought it. I was promised top quality work with all the customer support I needed. Needless to say that was far from the truth. Once the received there payment, communication just stopped. After threatening to cancel my account I received a very generic template that could have been made by my 10 year old. I requested a call back from the supervisor to cancel the account and now he is MIA. Please stay away from this company!

CHRIS STREBEL/MICHAEL PATTERSON-This is who was in charge of my account.
I had signed with HIT over two months ago. Since then they charge my credit card yet nothing has been done and nobody can be reached there. After calling over and over and you finally get someone they promise it to you by the next day which never happens. They string people along and thats how they make their money. To this day I have not received my website and still no one has contacted me.

I bought a website from this company last year, 2009. After having paid $340 for a basic website package, I received a call from my account manager stating they would assign a designer to my account and get the website up and running. Three weeks later, however, I hadn't received a phone call or e-mail regarding the work in progress. I called my account manager expecting the website to be nearly completed only to be informed that they had placed my account on cancel for some unknown reason, and would get a designer on it immediately. It's been over a week, and none of my calls or e-mails have been acknowledged. They will not call or write me back. I called their "customer service" line, only to be placed on hold for 40 minutes. Their customer service, by the way, is an answering machine - that's right, you do not actually get to speak to a person about the theft of your money. They basically took my money and ran. I'm guessing this breaks quite a few laws and will be contacting the authorities. Be wary of this company - it is a scam!

Utah county, state of utah is one of the leading places nationwide in white collar crimes that go un-prosecuted due to a lack of funding and allocated resources.

The utah county attorney cannot or will not investigate nor prosecute a crime without a police report. once they receive a report, they must choose which cases to pursue. nsf checks payable to employees or consumers are low on the list. they refer the lack of payment of wages to the utah labor commission. they refer the nsf check to customers to their local police department. the local police department refers the victim to the police department where the business does business, which in this case is provo police department.

Consumers must file a police report before the county attorney can even consider the case regarding the taking of funds from account without authorization, the promise to deliver services and the keep of funds paid even though the services are never delivered or delivered satisfactorily.

The utah county, provo police department discourages the filing of police reports, claiming that the victim has to prove intent. they have also informed individuals that they can take the report, but that the county attorney will just send it back to them and do nothing.

The attorney generals office gives out this response:

“thank you for writing to the utah attorney general's office. the attorney general’s office is counsel to the state agencies. a case would have to be referred by a state agency in order for this office to get involved as we can only advise our client agencies. the labor commission is a state agency and they would have to refer a case to our office in order for us to get involved and we would represent them in court.

I trust you will find this helpful.”

The bbb take reports, it does not resolve them nor does it possess any authority to do anything about the complaints. it has been under investigation for buy outs for improved ratings, though this company has the lowest rating it can get. filing a complaint with the bbb make the complaints available to anyone using the bbb as a reference, however the marking of the complaint as resolved does not necessary mean to the satisfaction of the consumer.

Employees who have not been paid:

You can continue to work for the company and file a wage claim. if you have not been paid, we encourage you to really think about why you work for free. the claim that you will not get paid any faster if you file a wage claim is simply not true.in addition to your wages, you will also be entitled to receive ½ of the 5% daily penalty. you can contact the division of labor at [protected] if you have any questions. you can fax it for $0.98 at http://www.gotfreefax.com/. even if you work outside he state of utah, you should file your wage claim with the utah division of labor as the company is within its legal jurisdiction. other rules may apply to your state, we suggest that you contact your states labor division for any questions.

If you live in utah you can file for unemployment benefits for just cause of non-payment of wages. a partial wage is not a full wage and therefore qualifies as non-payment of wages. contact the utah unemployment services at [protected] or apply on line at https://jobs.utah.gov/ui/initialclaims. you will need to register for work through the department of workforce services at https://jobs.utah.gov/sso/login.aspx?application=uworks&returnurl=%2fjsp%2futahjobs%2flogin.do

The unemployment office will tell you that they need to review your case before making a decision to see if you qualify. you should be aware that the unemployment claims of those who have left this company for non-sufficient fund payroll checks and/or, non payment of payroll have been approved. there is usually a 1 week delay before benefits begin. the amount of benefits that you may receive is determined on a case by case basis. you may speak with a representative of the utah unemployment services to help you determine the amount of benefits you will receive.

Many employees who have left the company have found new jobs and are much happier due to the elimination of the stress of not know if or when they will be paid.

Consumers that have not received the product or are dissatisfied with the service:

You may file a civil suite for failure to deliver services/product in a timely and workmanlike manner with the utah county justice court. the small claims court address is:

310 west center street
Provo, ut 84601

Main telephone: [protected]
Main fax: [protected]

Forms are available at

Filing fees

Small claims
$2, 000 or less (1) (c) (i) 60.00
Greater than $2, 000 and less than $7, 500 100.00
Greater than $7, 500 and less than $10, 000 185.00

Amounts over $10, 000.00 are filed through a civil proceeding in the utah county district court, located in provo utah.

If you live out of state or cannot travel to appear in court, contact the court and request to appear telephonically. you must appear either in person or over the phone. if you fail to appear the your case may be dismissed.

Contact your credit card company and file a claim for reimbursement of non-deliver of a product. ask for a new credit card to prevent any further payments for being debited.

If you used a debit card, contact your financial institution and request a stop payment on any transaction from this company. request that your account number be changed due to unauthorized debits.

Keep in mind that this company will use the contract against refunding any payments.

The (tos) terms of service that states

7. intellectual property policy

Domain names purchased by hit and website designs, databases, stores, or programs created by hit are the property of hit until client has paid all fees including one full year of monthly hosting. (see domain names purchase/hosting agreement

11. completion timeframes
Client understands, agrees and acknowledges that hit does not guarantee a time frame for completion of any website.

34. cancellation fee and refund policy

Minimum cancellation fee – client agrees that a minimum cancellation fee of 50% will be retained by hit on all cancelled accounts even if no work has been started.

100% cancellation fee will be retained and no refund will be issued by hit if client cancels after 90 days from the initial sale

No refund will be issued on any website cancelled after services have been rendered, including but not limited to, the design work having been completed and/or the website taken live.

Beware of any contract that states:
• cancellation fee of 50%.
• does not guarantee a time frame for completion.
• no refund after 90 day of initial sale.

Such a company is not under any pressure to perform, they postpone the work as long as they like and then claim that it is past the 90 days and you are not entitled to a refund. there are plenty of developers out there that will not have you sign a contract such a contract. an ethical company would provide a full refund, if services are not rendered, they would also deliver a product to the full satisfaction of the purchaser.

Be advised that this company does not own the web servers that the sites are hosted on. at present they lease the server space through fibernet, they use freeware os and server software. their contract locks you into payment of one year of web hosting through them or you do not own your site.

This contract is too one sided and not for mutual benefit of all the parties. stay away from it.

Other information:

This company owes more than 8.5 million in taxes running back to 2006. they owe approximately $340, 000.00 in back wages with a bimonthly payroll of $120, 000.00 or $240, 000.00 per month. plus they have a judgment against them for $44, 000.00 from aetna health. they have no assets and lease a run down bowling alley.

They receive an estimated $600, 000.00 in monthly merchant transactions.

The inside set up resembles a boiler room. it does not presently look like the pictures on its site. it is fairly dark inside because most of the lights are off. carpet is torn and unclean. the treatment of its employees has been described like a sweat shop. several employees have lost everything and have become homeless due to the non-payment of wages.

Hit Web Design Scammed! Unfinished Website!

HIT WEB DESIGN IS FAR BY THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH! I started my project with them in July 2010, as of today, December 20, 2010, I still have no website completed by them. They had done a website for me before for my other business, I liked the website, so I decided to hire them to do a website for my other business which was a huge mistake. I should of never, ever, done that. However, I didn't know that it was so many complaints against them. Even when they did my website in 2007, there were complaints against them, I just didn't know about it. I have paid them money to do an e-commerece website, and the cost is like $12oo. I have emailed, left voice messages, and you never get a call back, or a reply ftrom them at all. The designer hired to work on my website is named Chelsey Vuyk, and she never returns any of my calls, and just like dropped off the planet of the earth. I also emailed her Supervisor, Joe Nielsen, never got a reply from him either. What kind of Supervisor is he, huh? I then spoke to a guy Carlos Kidman who is suppose to be the Senior Customer Service Representative who you speak with to help you with problems, and getting them solved. Well, he got angry because I asked for a refund, then I found out I could cancel, but couldn't get a refund. So, at this point, I said to him, just ask the designer Chelsey to contact me we can at least finish the last few things so I can go live with my website, to avail, she still hasn't contacted me and its Dec. 20, 2010. This is so crazy, almost 6 months to do a website. So, now they just completely ignore my emails, and phone calls, and won't call me back. I am not going to sit back and let them think they are going to get away with getting my hard earned money. We all who has been scammed need to get together and put them out of business, and file a Class Action Law Suit. If anyone knows of anyone that has already started a lawsuit against Hit Web Desgin please let me know, as I want to join as well. If you know if anyone or an attorney working on a lawsuit against them, please ask them to email me at [protected]@yahoo.com
LET'S GET TOGETHER AND SHUT THIS COMPANY DOWN!

Violations of Anit-Discrimination for non-payment of wages and paying wages with NSF funds have been issued against this company. Employees who have not been paid are encouraged to file a wage claim through the Utah Division of Labor. There is a 5% penalty per day up to 20 days for non payment of wages per pay check. Outsource employees from any state can complete the wage claim form. Google for Utah Wage Claim. It is available from the Utah Division of Labor. You can continue to work for the company and file a claim. If you have not been paid, we encourage you to really think about why you work for free. If you live in Utah you can file for unemployment benefits for just cause of non-payment of wages. Many employees who have left this company have found new jobs and are much much happier.

Consumers are encouraged to contact their credit card companies and request a refund for failure to deliver a product. Due to the heavy indebtedness of this company it is encourage that your file as quickly as you can. It is estimated that the company owes $340K in back wages in addtion to the liens noted above. Consumers need to know that their sites are on servers through Fibernet. This company i.e. HIT Web does not host websites, it sells website hosting through a third party vendor i.e. Fibernet. When this company files bankruptcy, which it should have done long before now, your site may shut down for non-payment of services by fibernet. There is a question of where all of the money this company has taken in has gone, the IRS is not paid, Aenta Health was not paid its premiums and was granted a judgment, employees are not paid, the company has no assets. Those defending the company here on this site no longer work for the company. The promise to pay wages knowing that you can not pay them is fraud. The only purpose for telling anyone that you will pay wages when you know that you cannot pay them is to obtain labor from them for free. The information contained herein has been reported to the Utah County Attorney's office.

Many ask why this has gone on so long; in the words of one management member "because no one knows how to take us to court". If you have not been paid wages and have been promised to be paid, if you have received NSF checks that are still outstanding you are encouraged to request that the Provo police crime division take a report. They will attempt to discourage you by stating that you have to prove intent. The proof intent has already been gathered. If the detective will not take the report, ask to speak with the Cheif. The county attorney's office cannot do anything unless they get as much information as they can on this company. If you have problems with the police taking a report, please contact the attorney's general office ask for Scott Reed the criminal attorney. You can find the information by going the the UT Attorney General's website. The Crime goes on because no one will prosecute due to lack of funding. The attorney's general office can request funding if the complaints are sufficient. Also, please contact Sentor Orin Hatch's office. Funding in Utah county, State of Utah needs to be available for this type of crime.

Hit Web Design - Failure to Refund

Listen up customers that are in the market for a web site. DON'T USE HIT WEB DESIGN!!! they are by far the worst company I have come across. They are the first site that will pop up in Google search for web design so don't be fooled. I handed over $300.00 dollars to have them create a website for me. One month later I still didn't have even a writer...

Hit Web Design Service and Website

I hope this does not have a limit!

I had HIT WEB DESIGN create me a website. I spoke with the sales person for over a week. After talking to him it all sounded good. They said it would only take 2 weeks to do the site and would do it exactly how I wanted it. Gave them a website to base it off of. After a few days I was contacted. Then a week later I contacted them to check about the progress. I did not reach anyone. Sent email. Called again, sent email. Finally someone got a hold of me after 2 weeks. They said my account manager was no longer working here but I am here to help you NOW. (NOW? COME ON!).

I needed this project done. Then to come to find out it was going to take about 2 months to do. I told her what I was told and then she said he didnt know what he was talking about. The designer contacted me and the site was put together in a couple of weeks after that. The basics anyway. Homepage. Then I told them a lot more had to be done.

Then a designer for all my stationary and email templates contacted me. Crappy job. Then I did not get the files yet I was charged for them. I have yet to see them. This was back in July 2010. It is now September 2010.

After talking to people, support, customer service over 40 times my site was finally finished. So I thought. Now that I have downloaded their software the program is not working correctly. I can not work on my website. It is not finished. I can not do anything. No one knew what to do or how to fix it. Then my account mamager called me and gave me a temp fix to edit the site until they get this issue fixed. This was over 2 months ago and nothing has been fixed.

I finally got the email to the CEO. I emailed him once a week for the past month. No response. I cantact customer service. They just say sorry and contact support at [protected] Ext. 1798. I call and remail on hold for over 15 minutes and hang up. Try again and again. Nothing. (I DONT THINK ANYONE REALLY WORKS THERE)

To this day I am unable to use my website www.giggleswine.com. I have spent over $10, 000 in marketing and website to have $0 to show for it. I have every email ever sent to me with the complaints and the responses and response times. I would be happy to share these with anyone as proof! DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! You can email me at [protected]@yahoo.com.

From your description seems you purchased a custom design for a website and not a complete website. From what I see the company you mentioned does web designs. Not complete stores. After you purchase a design (in general have one) you need a web developer to create the site out of the template.

This process from what I understand is a different one, In other words to make the template interactive, to have an administration back end to manage the site's content etc. In your description you mention multiple times contacting a designer so I understand the deal was for a design only.

Still for the lack of contact and lack of explanation, you have a point. And they should tell you in advance what you're really buying.

You have a right to voice your opinion. Hit Web Design aka Heritage Web Solutions aka Heritage Management Services, Inc., is a company of great individuals. They are great at sales. The CEO David Aitken background is sales so it makes since that he leads a very effective sale group especially in the light of all these complaints. When you request a company perform work such as building a website be realistic and ask for a schedule of deadlines such as when will the design phase be completed, when will the shopping cart be completed, custom programming should map out the dates you should receive your functionality. Get it in writing before you sign a contract. Make it part of your contract. If it is not delivered by the deadline, then you should receive information as to why and what is being done to get your site out. There are many free services out there to build a site quickly and are designed for the non-programmer to use such as WordPress and Joomla. You can google to find the download and instructions. These products include news cast/Blogs and shopping carts.

If you enter into a contract with any company and have not received your product as promised and are not satisfied with the responses you are getting you can file an action with the appropriate court in your state where the transaction occurred or where the business resides such as Fourth District Court in Provo, UT where HIT Web design is located. You must file the suit in the state where you agreed to jurisdiction if stated in the contract. Don't be afraid to file out of state. You can contact the state court and do everything via the telephone or by mail, I have worked with many cases that the person appeared by telephone when there is a hardship especially at hearings. You can sue for a refund of your purchase price or sue for performance. Information is at the state's court website. Some court sites even have free form examples for you to use. Search the Web for free forms to file a complaint for breach of contract with more specific information such as failure to perform complaint. Each court has a set of fees it charges for filing a complaint, if you don't have any money you can request the court to waive the filing fee. Filing a complaint with the BBB won't amount to anything concrete. It is my hope that HIT Web Design and other companies will quickly resolve any concerns you may have, however you have the right to pursue a remedy through the court system if you are not satisfied. If the contract states you agree to arbitration then the courts will most likely require that you do so. I recommend that you require the Arbitration Association of America to keep it clean. If it states mediation, do your research through Martindale Hubble and find a good attorney with high references to serve as mediator. Never let the offending party choose the mediator. There are bad mediators as well as mediators that will do whatever an attorney or company requests. So be wise when agreeing to a mediator. If you are not satisfied with the results of the Arbitration you have the right to appeal the decision to the district court. If you are not in agreement with mediation you are not bound and can still pursue the matter through the courts. When filing a complaint or an appeal there are deadline established by each state. Search your state's court site or codes for "deadline to file". Another recommendation, do not pay more than half the amount due until the work is complete or you have tested the preliminary roll out of your site to your satisfaction. This will minimize the frustrations you are having. File a dispute of charges with your credit card company, keep a record of a phone calls, who you spoke with, get any changes you agree to in writing. Often in programming it is not defining the scope of the project correctly or fully that leads to unrealistic deadlines and frustrations that the site or software is not performing as expected. Make sure you understand what you want. Get it clearly mapped out before signing the contract and paying your deposit. For work that is over 40 hours, you may be charge a small write up fee that will go towards the contract for services. This is because the write up can take hours of evaluation time especially on hand written/coded programming. For sites that are developed or put together with quick development tools such as WordPress you should only require a deadline or you can build the site your self using these tools. They are fairly easy to use. You are not powerless to participate in the resolution of your complaint. It is not always easy nor quick to resolve. You will need to research the courts, BBB, contact your credit card company and yes you may even need to strive to get a written plan of action from the company you contracted with to get a resolution to the problem. Never allow yourself to feel helpless.

Hit Web Design Non performance

I signed up with HIT on Aug 4, 2010, after a referral from VendorSeek. HIT was advised by me that my business was opening on 10/1/10 and that a website presence was a must before that date. Well, I got nothing.
On 9/9, I was told that a temporary "under construction" site was available on my domain. This was a one page piece of crap that had my logo and some graphics that I supplied. The irony in this all was that I provided a six page prototype design which contained all the customer information needed to be presented on the site. My web design was written in HTML/CSS and I told HIT to use that as the preliminary website while they created the "professional" one. But no, they couldn't even do that.
I went weeks trying to get project status updates, but to no avail. Finally, after threatening legal action (in emails and VM), my sales rep, Rick Visser called. It seems he was out of the office for a week and my project manager, Jon Faulring, "was no longer with HIT." My project fell through the cracks.
On 9/9/10, I got a call from a Vijaya C. informing me that she was going to be doing the credit card processing development on my site and asked me if Paypal would be ok to use as the vendor. This was the total discussion I had with HIT as far as my website was concerned.
I provided them with, in addition to a working prototype design, but requirements and a DB schema. AND they did nothing.
I fired them on 9/13, removed their servers from my domain, and informed them that legal action would be initiated if I hear nothing constructive by COB 9/14. Of course, nothing has been heard yet.
My invitation to all my fellow suckers is to join me in a class action suit aimed at closing down those crooks and getting our money back.

The claim that you will not get paid any faster if you file a wage claim is simply not true. In addition to your wages, you will also be entitled to receive ½ of the 5% daily penalty.

Contact the Utah Unemployment Services at [protected] or Apply on line at https://jobs.utah.gov/ui/InitialClaims .

Forms are available at

http://www.utcourts.gov/howto/smallclaims/

Filing Fees

Small Claims
$2, 000 or less (1)(c)(i) 60.00
Greater than $2, 000 and less than $7, 500 100.00
Greater than $7, 500 and less than $10, 000 185.00

Amounts over $10, 000.00 are filed through a civil proceeding in the Utah County District Court, located in Provo Utah.

If you live out of state or cannot travel to appear in court, contact the court and request to appear telephonically. You must appear either in person or over the phone. If you fail to appear the your case may be dismissed.

Hit Web Design Website purchased 13 months ago and still don't have a functioning site

I paid for my website 13 months ago. Since that time, I’ve had little help to get a functioning website. Prior to me signing an agreement with Hit Web Design, I had a functioning website doing fairly well. I wanted more functionality so I thought I’d go through a redesign. I wasn’t ok with the sale person selling me the services over the phone so I requested a meeting. In the meeting I sat down with the sales person and pulled up my current site and explained that I wanted all of the functionality that my current site had but additional functionality as well. We discussed everything page by page. Then later that day, I received a proposal via email for the site. Only it was very generic. It listed just the number of pages and the different features. It didn’t go into detail page by page like we had done in the meeting. I sent a follow up email asking for confirmation that I would have all of the functionality of my current site along with the additional features. Since then, I’ve been told over and over again that I didn’t purchase the functions and they can’t help me. This was a bait and switch. First of all, before having any website designed, understand function terms for instance, roll over navigation and expandable navigation. I had both of the functions on my previous site but I didn't know what they were called. I left it up to the sales guy to include in the quote all of my functionality. It didn't happen.

In addition, they can’t get anything right. I’ve sent well over 100 emails and made numerous telephone calls but no one can seem to help me. No one is doing a thing on my site and in the mean time I’m losing so many sales.

Save yourself hours of time and the frustration of dealing with a highly unprofessional company and don’t use Hit Web Design aka Heritage Web Solutions. You're throwing your money away if you do. Consider yourself warned!

Look up WordPress on UTube and you can get your own site up and running in a few days for free. You don't need to know programming.

Known FACTS:
Tax Liens 8 million, plus and growing.
Unpaid Wages $340K with a bi-monthly payroll $120K or $240K per month.
They take in $30K on ave per day through merchant account sales. That is $600, 000.00 per month in up front sales double that and you get the actual sales of $1, 200, 000.00 per month.
They pay fibernet to host the sites. They have no assets.
David Aitkens is not nor has he ever been a programmer. It is believed that David Aitkens is a con man who manipulates others through the art of intimidation or highly agressive sales techniques. David Aitkens is the sole person governing this company.
Mark Strong is the main officer of record on the company .
Based upon information received the principals of this company are involved in corporate kiting as well as check kiting ie. float.
They have over 800 complaints with the BBB. (BBB does not resolve complaints it only documents them.)
The programmers can't program if they are not paid. They cannot work for free. So sites just sit waiting for completion.
Basic Math: overhead Employees $240K per month, Building Lease and utilities at best $10K per month, Fibernet $60K per month, google ads $40K per month less $600K revenue leaves roughly $250K. Still plenty to pay taxes, insurance premiums and take a modest income for the owners. (They use preware to create the sites.)
Many who build the static sites are not nor have they ever been programmers, they have been taught to use pre-built parts to put together a site and call it done. They could not touble shoot code nor create a custom build.
The question remains, where is all the money going that this company takes in? It does not pay its obligations, sites are not built to the customer's satisfaction nor in a timely manner, which is key to staying in buisness.
One must ask why one would ever do buisness with this company after learning all of this.

Hit Web Design BAD BAD service, overcharged, auto charge

They over promised, took forever to design website. Their designers were not very good. I practically had to design the page myself, even though I paid them to do it. Took about four months to complete design, and charged me all that time as if I had a live website up! They then overcharged me. When I caught it, I had to fight and fight to correct it. Finally only half corrected. They tell you things when selling you their service, but they don't put it in writing, so later they can say, that's not what you got... They automatically charge you, even when you tell them you don;t want the service! This company is obviously all about growth (theirs-- at all costs) not about serving you.

Hit Web Design Website

This company has "no shame". Our company depends on our website for our children book purchases. HIT is a monster company that is truly despicable in their company practices--unethical in following through on customer complaints. They are also nickle and diming us to death. Our website was wonderful but now it is in shambles because it isn't working properly. We want in on the class action lawsuit against them. Their faulty software gave our website updating issues and their technicians screwed up the change back. Don't ever give them your credit card information. What a sham!

These robbers promised the moon when they pitched the website but after paying $300 dollars they did absolutely nothing, . I called and wanted to cancel. Holly Stickney senior customer service agent and rip off artist assured me the website would get started, and a website designer would contact me.

A designer did who sloppily photo shopped a picture and put a mess called a website together. Then there was nothing for a week until I called again and threaten to cancel. Andrew in the customer service department advised me none of my money was to be returned. I did have a account manager named Kaden Jensen who was totally useless but he did get a programmer to call me.

Their programmer called regarding RSS feeds I requested to be on the website. He was a nice guy but there was no direction. I was also trying to get a hold of the website designer with ideas to clean up the website. I emailed and called; never a response.

At this point in time I decided no more cash was going to this fraud machine. I called Holly - the person who was suppose to be watching my account didn't even know what was going on. She again reiterated monies were no available for refund. I was so tired of calling these cretins and waiting for 15 to 20 minutes to get a live body I just wanted out.

It seems like I'm not the only one that has had an issue with this company and they need to be shut down.

FYI: The Heraldextra did not check out any facts and therefore its new release is flawed and primarily the words of a criminal defense attorney as well as other releases using this information.

HIT web pages requesting donations for Hatti were up days before its closing and were taken down quickly upon notice of a criminal investigation. Is this a coincidence?

HIT’s web pages for sales leads remained up and running for days before posting a notice of its closing.

Any former customer of HIT who has been contacted by Isowebworks, PPC Management or any related company should contact the Utah County Attorney’s office directly.

Ask yourself if the same people are running a new company with the same equipment, the same people, the same software that they have placed their new logo on, why would you expect different results?

The claim that you will not get paid any faster if you file a wage claim is simply not true. In addition to your wages, you will also be entitled to receive ½ of the 5% daily penalty.

Contact the Utah Unemployment Services at [protected] or Apply on line at https://jobs.utah.gov/ui/InitialClaims .

Forms are available at

http://www.utcourts.gov/howto/smallclaims/

No Refund will be issued on any website cancelled after services have been rendered, including but not limited to, the design work having been completed and/or the website taken live.

Beware of any contract that states:

• no refund after 90 day of initial sale.

Such a company is not under any pressure to perform, they postpone the work as long as they like and then claim that it is past the 90 days and you are not entitled to a refund. There are plenty of developers out there that will not have you sign a contract such a contract. I suggest that you follow my steps to get your money back, and hopefully you used your VISA or MasterCard when you went with Hit Web Design, because if you went with American Express or Discover Card it will be harder to get your money back.

Step 1: Call your Bank or Credit Card company, and do a charge back. Do not let hit get any more of your money and try to get as much of it back as you can.
Step 2: Contact the Utah Attorney General's Office and file a formal complaint with them about your relationship with Hit Web Design.
Step 3: Contact the BBB and file a formal complaint with them.
Step 4: Contact your local newspaper, radio and TV station and inform them of your experience.
Step 5: post ALL over the internet your experience, and post your results!

Hit Web Design Poor customer service

HIT Web Design is the most unprofessional company that I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Their customer service is a joke - they take WEEKS to complete ANY simple task and that's if you're fortunate enough to have them complete the task at all! They've charged my credit card for fees that I never authorized and offered no explanation for same. They never return phone calls or e-mails. I would HIGHLY recommend against using this company.

These people have been scammed and defrauded. Attempting to profit there from is inappropriate.

* IHOP (Restaurant chain) - http://www.ihop.com
* Harvard University (Educational) - http://gsas.harvard.edu
* Citibank (Financial institution intranet) - Not publicly accessible
* The Green Maven (Eco-resources) - http://www.greenmaven.com
* Outdoor Photographer (Magazine) - http://www.outdoorphotographer.com
* PlayShakespeare.com (Cultural) - http://www.playshakespeare.com
* Senso Interiors (Furniture design) - http://www.sensointeriors.co.za

I have been waiting months to get my website published. I spent $500 for them to supply me with "dig" software to develop my own website which I did. I received no technical support and now that it is complete, I cannot get anyone to publish it for me. I get bounced around between tech support and the design team. I've been disconnected twice and put on hold for 30 minutes at a time. They are a FRAUD! I am putting a stop on my credit card payments and filing a complaint with the BBB of Utah. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Are you...
Well it has been a rough two weeks, but we are getting through it. we had our family name drugged through the Mud, But we are still a strong family and I will stand by My MAN. It sucks that all people want to do is tear down people and not give that person a chance to tell there side of the story. They do not ever mention the good things that we tried to do, I guess its like when you are getting divorced or ending a relationship they only remember the crap not the good stuff. I am very proud of my man and I know all those who know us will no that none of the stuff that is been said is true. Plus the only thing that matters is when I STAND BEFORE GOD I KNOW THAT I AM A GOOD PERSON, WHO IS PROUD OF HER FAMILY AND HUSBAND!

http://twomoretolove.blogspot.com/2011/03/are-you.html

Candice Aitken, you are the worst kind of person, because you are trying to wrap all the horrible things you have done, and your husband has done in "love."

It is ok people went hungry, people lost their homes, people lost their cars, people's children are homeless because, "I'm a good person" ... it would be hilarious if it wasn't so tragic.

The claim that you will not get paid any faster if you file a wage claim is simply not true. In addition to your wages, you will also be entitled to receive ½ of the 5% daily penalty.

Contact the Utah Unemployment Services at [protected] or Apply on line at https://jobs.utah.gov/ui/InitialClaims .

Forms are available at

http://www.utcourts.gov/howto/smallclaims/

Hit Web Design Theft

2.5 months ago acalled HIT (hertitage) to have them design for me a website. We agreed to start designing the website for 500$, a hundred every month. However, on the same day they deducted 200$, not 100$ as we agreed. The same day I called them and sent them an email to cancel the deal and to be refunded. I did not sign any papers with them. They replayed they made the refund and it will take up to 1 month for the 200$ to be deposited into my account. After a month I started calling them and I every time they tell me the refund is under processing. Now they stopped answering my calls. One of my firiends talled me that he had themm desighn a website for him, but they were very slow and carelees after they received the money. Now he is asking them to give him the website's password because they dont help at all, and they still charge him at least 50$ for every change he ask them to do. They never give him the password. HIT is a gange of theievs and frauders.

Hit Web Design - SHAME ON Heritage Web Solutions / HIT Web Design

I am a recently laid-off, single mother who planned to start a small home-based business. I made the regrettable decision to use HIT Web Design, aka Heritage Web Solutions. I researched and contacted several web design companies before landing with HIT. Prior to signing a Terms Of service document, I had found some complaints regarding HIT and discussed...

Hit Web Design Incomplete Work No Refund

Worst company I have ever dealt with not an exaggeration! They promised about 10 things and couldn't deliver on not one. Website was suppose to be built and finished in a week, well two weeks later still not finished, 1 month later more promises, still not finished, 2 months later a promise of a full refund. It has now been 2 and a half months I just got off the phone with Holly and she says "you know what, we're not gonna give you a refund at all!" Wow, I spent $350 and have no website and no refund. These people should be locked up for this!

Hit Web Design Scam!!!!

This company is the biggest fraud! I paid them money to have a website built and I have yet to have the site built because the designers and the people working on the site found that my ideas were too complex. So they just gave up. No more emails no calls or anything. It is so annoying because they are always ready to call and try and sell you something but when it comes to resolving issues regarding the site, they cannot be found. I have made complaints but their customer service agents are horrible. They told me that there are no supervisors that I can talk to and that I should write an email to [protected]@hitweb. This has led me to a dead end and I dont know what to do. Is there a way for me to report them to some govt agency or consumer protection group?

Back in 2009, hitweb design charged me $2200 to complete a website with database features. They put on payment plan and paid a whooping $1400 with a balance of $800. They started designing the website with Asian theme, though the site supposed to have an African. I brought the discrepancy in their work to numerous managers: some include: Steve, Chris, Kaden, etc. They tricked you to approve unfinished work saying we can modify it when anything goes wrong. After you've approved it and there is something wrong with the design, then they ask you to pay again for them to fix the error. As I'm filing this complain, they still have not completed my website and have took my $1400. Now when I call no one response. Could anyone help me to get my money back or any legal action we as victims could bring against Hitweb Design.

They were not honest people, do not do business with any longer.
I just wanted to warn all those who have heard the rumors and thought it was just a bunch of bitter people, well yes and no. Are these people bitter, yes because they haven't gotten what they were suppose to and no because I'm sure somewhere there are people who have never had a problem with them. I unfortunately am not one of them. Warning do not expect any money from them. You may not get it.
and stop doing business with them, because they all fraud, if you give them your credit card number, and they will charges it and not te you.
I f they design a webiste for you and they will embeded their own advert with the code to for thier own bnefit.
Also if you disagree with them they will render your website useless.
case in point. wwwafricachoicenewsusa.net
They design auseless website that can not be used and embeded their own code to run thier advert. very uselss elements. They will never get my business any longer and I will tell every one I know about them.
They were not professional, very very deceptive people.

OMG. These People Are Nothing But Fake.
April '2010, We Were Promised a Website From Hitwebdesign.

Attention: Attention:

DO-NOT-GIVE-THEM-YOR MONYEY.!

Throughout The First Week Of Conversing With The're So Called Team Site Members as to What We Wanted (designwise).

They Were Nice On The Phone, and I Often Heard Alot Of Background Cheering Every Now and Again While Speaking To a Team Member From Hitwebdesign.

I Asked What All The Background Cheering Was all About, His Reply Was "We Just Finished Another Website For a Customer"
I Later Learned That all That Background Cheering On The Phone Was All "Canned Laughter" (a stunt).

I Was Promised a Website Within (1) Week From Ther Specialty Team Whom Builds With "Flash Elements".
I Was Also Promised a "Media Flash Player" On Our Would Be Website.

For (1) Solid Week, I Wasted Hours On The Phone With Them Trying To Explain What a "Media Flash Player" Acttually is.

It Seemd That I (myself) Knew More About Java, Script, HTML, and Content Than Hitwebdesign Actuall Did..

I Gave Our Downpayment of $475.00 In April '10 To The Our Website Started.. Well. During The First Week That Elapsed, I Began To Get Suspicious and Talked With Customer Support.

I Demanded My Money-Back, and Was Told I'd Recieve a FULL Refund.. Well. Today Has Been Over a Month. Still NO Refund As Of June 5, '10..

We Have Reported Hitwebdesign To Our Bank as Theft & Fraudulent.
We've Also Taking Legal Action as Of June 5 '10..

I paid a year ago to have my website designed by Hitwebdesigne .com. A year later, nothing is done. I have called and left many messages, no one contacts me. I am very frustrated now. I am reporting this company for being non responsive and lack of accepting responsibility on their site. This company used to be called Heritage web design.

Hit Web Design Fraudulant

After checking out their website and speaking with the sales person there, I initially had a lot of confidence in choosing Heritage web design when I hired them to create what was supposed to be a unique one-of-a -kind web site. I was excited and looking forward to my new web site but they are a supreme disappointment! To make a very long story shorter I paid them about $875.00 and have nothing to show for it except the endless frustration scars from trying to work with them over the past six months over the site, which I came to realize too late, would never be right. They don't seem to care about the customer or making a quality product. The web site was a template and basically you do a lot of the work yourself while fending off calls for up-grades to abstract more money from you. I hired them in November 2009 and told them I'd be moving soon and would not have time to work on a web site with them - they said fine, but if I want the deal I had to sign today, so I did. After I moved I contacted them to start the process and it's been a terrible nightmare ever since, trying to get the work done, having it look good and getting any changes made is frustrating to say the least - you can't talk to anyone, you can't chat online, they don't call you back or respond to e-mail and the quality is bad, bad, bad! I tried to resolve it with them, but they were not open to refunding any of my money and they will not work with you -without extracting teeth, so, they are being reported here, Twitter, Facebook and The Better Business Bureau and to anyone else who will listen.

We purchased a website and one year worth hosting from HIT. This has now been a year and a half and it has been nothing but a complete disaster. We are a new small business and HIT has truly compromised our reputation due to pathetic web design. Our site has never truly been up and running correctly and no one has ever tried to do anything to help us resolve the matter. We wanted to change our hosting to another company and see if that helped out and now for 2 months we have been able to get anyone to respond us to get all of our website data.
At this point, we are going to contact an attorney. We lost $1500 from this company, not to mention all the money we would have been making by now if we would had a legitimate website.
After looking at the Better Business Bureau reports, it is quite obvious this company scams many others as well.
Sad but true!
