Hazelton's Products paid for were never delivered

I ordered a gift basket on 6/08/20 as a birthday surprise from the Hazelton's CA website. Our order (HU531170) contained several of the customization options available on the site. I ordered 2 specialty wines and a specialty cheese that added over $100 to the cost of my basket, but were never delivered to the recipient. Repeated attempts to reach customer service to resolve this issue have failed; and after over a moth of chasing a resolution, I would like a full refund.

Did you ever get your refund.? I had the same experience and after a month I have not. $165 basket, suppose to be delivered within 3 days, it sat in atlanta for 9 days at ups, (sender requested that it be returned to them, on day 5.) they claimed it was delivered to the friend, as if I was stupid enough not the track it. loren dutos is a thief and has had so many lawsuits against him and his wife, christine I believe her name is.

Hazelton's Basket

Purchased a wine basket for a friend and she received rotten fruit! She also did NOT receive 3 items that I paid for. Customer service tells me I should have purchased faster delivery so fruit wouldnt go bad. Delivery was already $30! Why offer something when it's not suitable for your package? No compensation for the items that my friend did not receive. No delivery of the items to my friend that she did to receive either. I paid $120 for a small basket of items in which the fruit was rotten. They included cookies in which I did not ask for. Terrible service. Do not use them!

Hazelton's Not what you want, not even on time, horrible company

You will get an old and not fresh present not at the date that you want your delivery with plans look like ...

Bad service and worse customer service that you kind find to send you bucket to a love one

The balloon as you can see as a picture look like condoms...

Hazelton's No delivery of gift basket

Order # H3122495 ordered May 7, 2020 scheduled for delivery May 11, 2020. I ordered on credit card, they had me listed as e-transfer, took days to rectify finally on Sunday, May 10th I submitted my credit card through PayPal and payment was received. May 11th I was advised the gift basket would be delivered May 12th or 13th. Today is May 14th and still no delivery. I have emailed customer service numerous times and do not get the consideration of a reply to my inquiries. Your telephone number directs me to email only there is no live agent. I am extremely frustrated, this was a very important birthday gift for my brother's birthday on May 11th. I spent $203.39 and cannot even get the courtesy of a reply. Can someone please let me know if this will be delivered and if not, please refund my money in its entirety. I will not deal or recommend with your company again,

Hazelton's New order

I have left three messages and get a receipt in email stating that a "customer service rep has been assigned" and have not received a response. If they are not able to take orders due to the Covid 19 then the that should be advertised on thier web page. I have left a message to the "ordering" customer service department to return the call or emial me thier response. After this order if I ever receive a call back and deivery does happen it will be my first and last order to this company. Order # H3122846 being delivered to Ottawa, CA k2p 1B5

Hazelton's Champagne & french chocolate dipped strawberries bouquet

This was a 21st Birthday present for my daughter who is living in New York. As you can imagine during these difficult times I wanted something special to be sent to her and got nothing of what I ordered.

Not only was the delivery a day late (I understand) but the cheap sparkling wine and chocolates that were thrown into a basket was not what I paid for or expected.

I have sent three emails with no response. The customer service number gives you an email (ha).

I just want a refund so that I can get my daughter the present that she deserves.

Please complete these fraudsters to the Canadian anti fraud centre. I just did and the more complaints the better.

Ive ordered a hamper worth $350 from these people and something was received worth about $30.

Everything either broke, stale, gone off, squashed or missing.

No satisfaction from Company. My emails were even rejected!

I'm going through the EXACT same thing right now! I'm talking with a customer representive, but he just keeps repeating that they can't help. I ordered the same thing - champagne with french chocolate covered strawberries, with an extra balloon for my friends birthday. He got champagne, ALMOND ROCA, a chocolate bar, and a random little cutting board. WTF?!?! They are the most terrible! I'm fighting the good fight with a rep, but reading all these comments and reviews gives me no hope. They robbed me of $83.

And after some google, I find out he has several address listed for Hazelton’s and they are all fake . One was a flooring store, one a fitness center, a dry cleaners, not one is legitimate address for hazelton’s or “blooms “ or Gift group “. All made up names for his companies .

Hazelton's 2 wine basket

I ordered 2 wine bottles of Chardonnay for my valentine's day gift.
After the only email of order confirmation, I never got 1 other communication of whether my order was shipped, if it was on time for the delivery date, if it was delivered, or if they were making any substitutions.

Finally, when my boyfriend did receive my order, it was 1 bottle of cheap red wine local to the delivery location and some hide and seek biscuits and candy. All local to where I sent it. And I paid $29 in shipping!

Now my questions are:
1. Why wasnt I ever sent a "Your order was shipped" email. How was I expected to track my consignment which cost me $75.
2. Why was I not informed about substitutions made from the local market?
3. Why did I pay international shipping all you sent was some 5 cents biscuits with some cheap red wine.
4. How do you decide on the substitutions? When someone orders not ONE but TWO bottles of WHITE wine, doesnt that tell you something ? That THEY DO NOT LIKE RED WINE?
5. When I reached out to them wanting to speak to their upper management, all they replied with was, We will not issue a refund - Is that what I asked you for ? a refund? or did I ask to speak to your manager?

TWO words. STAY AWAY.

Hazelton's box of chocolate covered strawberries with bottle of champagne and glasses

Our son who lives in Langley, British Columbia ordered a gift box from Hazelton's of Scarborough, Ontario, to be delivered to Destin USA. He sent the order on Monday December 9th, USA on December 13th 2019, for my husband birthday. The package was delivered on Monday 16th December so three days late, it was in a huge box with no indication of the up or down side, so when the parcel arrived the bottle had mashed the chocolate covered strawberries, and it was full of strawberry juice in the box. I sent an email to complaint but they say that there is nothing they can do because it was perishable item, sorry but if it was delivered on time in a proper box it would not happened!

Hazelton's hazelton's cake which arrived crushed and disgraceful customer service.

We ordered a birthday cake for my son who is away at college from Hazelton's USA. I cost more than $70 to be delivered and included a happy birthday message for my son which cost an extra $8. The cake arrived crushed with no discernible message. Because my son did not take a picture of the damaged cake on his 18th birthday, Jane in customer service implied that we were lying and did not offer even a partial refund for the very disappointing product. To make matters even worse her response was a cut and paste email referring to our basket multiple time, not cake. There was absolutely no concern for our situation or circumstances. Disgraceful delivery of product and customer service.

Just went through the same experience. I can see why they aren't on YELP, and why they don't even have a facebook page. They are literally hiding from bad reviews! I'm going to find everywhere I can to give them a bad review. Worst customer service I've ever had, and completely unexpected too. My friend was supposed to get fancy champagne, chocolate covered strawberry bouquet and a birthday balloon which I paid extra for...he got some weird champagne, almond roca, a chocolate bar, and a random cutting board. Most disappointing experience I've had with a company. I may dispute it with my bank...they rob people!

Hazelton's gift basket

My complaint is exactly like the others here. Ordered a gift basket, the order allowed me to select a day for delivery, but instead of that day of the week, a plain box arrived at the recipient's office late on a Friday afternoon where it sat all weekend.

NO customer service at all; all the items perished; there was NOTHING on the box that said it contained perishable items, and their horrible customer service by email (they have an automated answering service if you call with no live support) was atrocious.

Hazelton's wrong delivery date

Please see the attached photos. My order was specifically arranged to be delivered on 26-08 but so received an email saying it is out for delivery. Why then ask for a delivery date? Plus now my recipient will get a gift on the day that's not their birthday. Making me look horrible like I don't know when it is!
I don't understand how you get this wrong. Even in RSA where I am from they get it right and we are a third world country. I am really upset with this!

Hazelton's delivery of flowers and chocolate

My mother ( client # HC296092) received the flowers and the "Boss" chocolate as expected July 15th. However, my mother told me that the flowers were rotted, dripping in water and had putrefied. The odor was so bad that she actually threw them out. The chocolate bar was swimming in water an inedible

Honestly, I have ordered from Hazelton's on several occasions and have never experienced this. I have always satisfied and thus, I was quite shocked.

Hazelton's Gift Basket with Champagne - she rec'd lemonade!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I ordered a gift for my sister in Norway - a specialty basket with fruit, 2 champagne glasses and paid an extra $88 for a bottle of Veuve Champagne.
It arrived late and it was a box with 2 bottles of lemonade and some crappy crackers and chocolates. NOT WHAT I ORDERED and I was never notified of the change. Nothing in there was worth the $150+ I paid (not counting shipping). To make matters worse - a couple days later she had to pay a customs bill for $65 more!

Tried reaching out to the company and got nowhere. DISPUTING THE CHARGE AND WARNING EVERYONE!

Hazelton's Don’t waste your money

I paid for a custom basket for a diabetic senior and asked for soft fruits like banana and mango, and I paid and extra 15 dollars us for a singing ballon. Almost 90 dollars total and they sent a basket full of apples and chocolate... And a basic balloon. I paid 90 dollars for a basket of garbage that the recipient was not able to eat! Their excuse was that they can substitute for "like items" without even letting me know?! How on earth is chocolate and apples anywhere close to soft fruit and specifically no chocolate? When I reached out to explain that this was not what I ordered, they basically said they can do whatever they want and there was nothing I could do about it! I expected more from a canadian business! Stay far away from these theives!

Hazelton's late delivery

I had a similar complaint as others here. I ordered a gift basket for my nephew who had just had serious surgery. I got a notification shortly after making the order that it was on it way. Several days past and it still had not arrived so clearly it had not left when they said. Meanwhile he checked out of the hospital - even waiting a few extra hours for the basket he now knew was coming.

We had to re-route the basket to his home. Hazelton's was no help at all. Fortunately Fed-ex was more helpful and was able to deliver it but still a few days later.

Clearly Hazelton lied about sending it when they said they did. I think they send the notification so you can't change your mind.

I complained but they were unapologetic. So, be careful. Never again Hazelton.

Hazelton's sympathy gift basket

Not only did the basket arrive disarrayed; they also substituted "less than" the quality of the wines advertised and which I paid "extra for", plus they omitted another item I specifically" paid extra for"..granted, I understand the "substitution clause", but at least send something of equal or better value, which they did not, ...and a phone call would have been appreciated to discuss what they couldn't fulfill and to decide if the order should be cancelled, delayed or if their substitutions were acceptable...obviously that did not happen...and when I expressed my dissatisfaction of the basket they delivered (because I happen to be there when it arrived), all they could say was that they were sorry for my dissatisfaction and that substitutions were part of their "clause"...I emailed them again expressing all of this, but have not heard back, ...obviously they could care less...and thus I could care less about being a repeat customer...and will warn others about using their services/website/company to send special gifts to those they care about. - Laurel Sutton

Hazelton's gift basket

This company should not be in business!
I placed an online order for a colleague going into surgery on 3/23/2018. They confirmed the shipment will be delivered on 3/24/2018 since I ordered it before 2PM.
3/24 - He never received anything
3/28 - Received a tracking email from Hazelton's stating it will be delivered USPS on 3/28.
3/29 - He still hasn't received anything

This company will never get another dollar for any type of item, gift, etc. From me. Customer service is awful! I ordered a Great Harvest Gift Basket with fruit and chocolate on 3/23/2018, expected to be delivered on 3/28/2018. I called after the tracking button did not work in my email. Hazelton's customer service said the courier "evidently" lost my shipment. I instructed customer service I am canceling my order; and disputing the charge from my bank. They said we understand, but our policy states; if we deliver your order then we are not liable for the condition the package is it.
WHAT? You got to be kidding me. No credit is due or will be given from Hazelton's. So I am now letting my bank handle this with them. I received an email notification today, 4/2/2018 that my package arrive. Again, you've got to be kidding me. Why in the world would they deliver a perishable gift basket with chocolate after 11 days being with the courier. $114 +?
I will blog and warn others not to ever order with this company again!

Hazelton's service

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. Ordered online from out of province for a package to be delivered on Valentines Day. they delivered it a day early, forgot the additional bottle of wine I ordered and got the address wrong. The worst part was that when I made a polite inquiry, they refused to respond. Don't waste your money, they are useless and don't care about building a customer base

Hazelton's gift baskets and customer service

Hazelton's Gift Baskets in Toronto (under the business name "The Baskets Group") needs to be exposed and shut down. They not only have an 'F' rating with the BBB, but they have a long and sordid history of deceiving customers out of rightful refunds when mismanaging their orders (which is surprisingly very frequent - almost too convenient). I am one of them.

I ordered four (expensive) gift baskets in December 2017. They omitted items in two of them. Since then I have made numerous calls and sent dozens and dozens of emails to get my money back, to no avail. And on two occasions they told me a courier was coming to replace the baskets, which same never arrived. When I finally did manage to get a live person a few weeks ago ('Fahad'), he advised that they would e-wire my refund that day, which never came. Then last Friday he said a cheque was in the mail, but again, nothing was forthcoming. And now they're not answering their phone.

During further research I've come across literally hundreds of people who have had similar (or worse) experiences with this company (and that's just the people who have posted their experiences over the net. I truly believe they are making a part-living out of robbing innocent people of their hard-earned money and have not been held accountable. Not even the BBB can get a response from them.

Please everyone, contact these media outlets with your stories and let's shut this place down once and for all!

Hazelton's delivery of rotten food - small credit with high delivery fee - 2 months attempting to resolve

I received a basket from a client Order #52073 the fudge was rotten the crackers stale and the Tim's travel cup broken when I contacted customer Service 2 months ago December 4, 2017 I was told I would be issued a $25 credit i thought great and ordered a non-food item - Oak cutting board - went back and forth waiting for a tracking # it was before Christmas they're busy so I waited . . nothing . . emailed again . .provided tracking # for the original order shipped in November... I explained yet again. Finally I received an "Invoice" $25 + Tax $ back and forth they removed the tax . .then came almost $17 in shipping fees . . this is crazy would someone please just stick the board in box and mail it - Canada Post - - it's been 2 months I don't need express shipping @ $16.93.
Even the Tim's wooden box is in poor condition.
