Harvey Norman customer service/ outcome of device needing repair

Hi my name is Melanie Searancke.
Around 5 months ago I bought a Lenovo idea pad, Lenovo tablet and other items.

On returning home I noticed that something there were tiny bright dots on the screen. They were not there all the time and not being tech savvy at all I thought they would just go.
About a month the screen started half disappearing. Sometimes when I restarted the device the issue would be gone.
Eventually the screen problem stayed. I took it into Harvey Norman's Porirua. I was under the impression the extra warranty I purchased with the Lenovo tablet meant it could be replaced if faulty but found out this was wrong.
I was initially served by the lady behind the customer support desk.
She called to the tech support working who was in the back room but in direct sight line to me. I waited at least 5 minutes and being the only person in the line decided to call out.
I explained the situation above. He then looked at it and said " You've dropped this it's cracked". I told him I did not and there were problems with the screen from the start. With barely any eye contact through the whole exchange, I found him rude, unhelpful and unwilling to even process my side.

Then I had to take a call from the doctor at Wellington hospital as my elderly father (who lives with me)
had been admitted to hospital previously. I was told I needed to pick him up that afternoon which stressed me as I also had to buy a fridge that day as the old one died.
I said "f#%@*n just send it in I did not break it or drop it!"
I want to apologise for that.
I then walked off and bought a fridge.

Marcus (tech support worker) called 2 days later to say they had sent Lenovo photos and Lenovo had said it wouldn't be covered.
I am disputing this. I believe the problem was there from the start.
I would like a repair or replacement of the Lenovo tablet as I do not believe I am at fault. Also I was led to believe by the sales rep an idea pad was more robust and made stronger than similar models?

Harvey Norman delivery of the product

Hi I bought 75 inch tv and fisher and Paykel fridge paid $4500 plus $65 delivery fees on 24/12/2019. Before Christmas Day and planned delivery for 26/12/2019 because we had family friends coming over on 26/12/2019 in evening with kids. Now on 26/12/2019 they called me in morning for delivery they only delivered the fridge and said we get Informed only about fridge, highly disappointed then we call back to Harvey Norman warehouse those people Didn't even say A single time sorry Infact he said it's all depends on delivery guy if he can come back and delivered the tv for you... and then we get a call from the delivery boy he said sorry I can't come back now only possible tomorrow. Very highly disappointed spend nearly $5 grand and these type services we getting from them
Never gonna come back again

Harvey Norman couch

I bough one couch and noticed too many faults. After sending so many emails and making around 40 phone calls and going there, supplier came to check and mentioned it's a manufacturer fault products shouldn't be sell. After that they denied the request to replace and so rude and then I complaint and they replaced after 5 months. New couch came after 5 weeks and as soon delivery guy opened he said oh my gosh.its faulty because the nail was out from the fabric, fabric was so dirty, threads are everywhere, ottomans layer is uneven. He send straight away pictures to Emma in Broadmeadows store and I chase up so many times. Same story supplier need to come and after sending so many emails no one bothered to chase, phone call are made anti had all records of phone calls and emails and photos send by delivery guy that he send to them as well.
Also when we ordered the pattern was different on Othman but they send wrong pattern.
My question is is Curtis a fool?
Is this a customer service?..
No one is there to resolve it ?..

I need my money back.

Harvey Norman online order [protected]

24/12/19- I ordered 3 lap tops for my children for Xmas 3 weeks ago. I followed up a week ago as I had not received a response, I was told they would be in Moonah on Friday or Saturday. I then again followed up on Friday to be told they would be on the courier and should arrive on Saturday and call me back. With no returns calls I called again on Sunday (no answer) and Monday. I was then told that they would forward it on Courier to arrive that afternoon. I have since called again to be told that they had not arrived. I am again waiting on my 4th return call with an update.
So apart from my mother passing away 6 weeks ago and my mother in law passing away on Sunday it looks like my children will not have their Xmas present this year.
The customer service and indifference is appalling at this time of year. There are no words to express my upset for this sort of indifference as a customer. I will never recommend Harvey Norman either on line or in person.

Harvey Norman buy laptop online and not get any proper service and update about shipment of the product after got order confirmation email.

I bought a laptop on 29/11/2019 (Black Friday), then got my order confirmation. I have been waited for a week to get a further updates about my order. After a week I called online service team and they said order being process by Launceston Harvey Norman store so try to contact them. Called to store and they said try to contact online service team. This have had happened 3-4 days long as I mentioned. Then they said they do not have that laptop in stock now across Australia and do not have ETA (Expected Time of Arrival) as a result they offer me Refund but I decline it because I gave the reason, I bought that laptop for my personal use so refund is not an option for me. However, The next day they give me an alternate product option by looked at that alternate option (another laptop option) it is vast difference between which I ordered and one they offer an alternate. Moreover, I talked thair customer service representative team leader and I explained her all process and I gave them one alternate option which is same laptop as compare as I ordered but price is major concern, it is now on normal price and not in offer so she said she will contact upper management and contact with me, but till the date no positive answer from Harvey Norman (Online Services). Can you help me out in this situation because as I hone through they have been told everything different each day. I attached some proofs as I mentioned above. Please guide me and give me the right direction.

Harvey Norman online store/business practice

I ordered items that they do not even have, they have falsely advertised their services and available items - deceptive and misleading conduct.
They have no phone numbers to contact, just channel you through live chat and they live chat representatives are slow, don't know anything and fob you off. I have been in contact several times and get told they have a high volume of traffic? They have been in business for 30 odd years, they have been online for more than 10 of those and they can't handle customer traffic? They just want to mess people around and scam people out of money.

Harvey Norman Non-delivery of a chest freezer

I bought a freezer from Harvey Norman (O'Connor branch) and had it on hold for my collection. When I went back to collect it some time later, they couldn't find it. After some time, they said that they will call me once they find it. There were no news for a long while. I went back there to check with them again, they claimed that I have collected it. I definitely did NOT collect it. They said that they will check again and let me know. After some time, which they did not contact me, I went back again to check with them. Again, they claimed that I have taken it! I told them that we have been through this before and that I had NOT collected it yet. I told them to produce the POD (proof-of-delivery) that I signed if I had collected it. They couldn't produce it. They then said that they are having stock-take and will definitely get back to me. Until now, there is still no news and I have had enough of their unprofessionalism and lies.

I still have the receipt.

Harvey Norman furniture department

I don't think it's my mistake to be a customer of Harvey Norman, we trust you so we come to purchase, if all customers stop coming Harvey Norman will no longer exist and none of you will be employed in this business so you should think about customer satisfaction as well .
I purchased mattress, washing machine and two tables on 20/10/2019 but not arrived at store nor delivered to me, I contacted by phone and face to face many times but no result, either I purchase worth of $100 or 1 million, I should not be discriminated .
What is the point of paying full payment of mattress if you can't deliver in time,
One of the sales person had rudely spoken to me to cancel and refunded, is she allowed to do so ?

Followup and be responsible, if you can't deliver in time then it's your problem you did to fix it otherwise you can shutdown your business.

Harvey Norman delivery of refrigerator

Yesterday I took the day off so my new Panasonic fridge/freezer could be delivered. Now keep in mind that the Dandenong store had no trouble fitting 2 huge sofas much wider than the fridge through the front door. Yet these two fellows one was very short and the other not much taller but skinny couldn't get the fridge through the door. I even signed a statement saying I would take full responsibility for any damage. The problem was the fridge was bigger than they were and they nearly tipped it off the trolley twice before reaching the door. Harvey Norman why would you employ little Indian/Sri Lankan fellows to be delivering heavy bulky white goods? What you need are men who are tall big and brawny of any nationality. These two fellows just wanted to go because it was too hard and too heavy and they didn't want to listen to any suggestions. They were lazy and rude and left my new fridge in the middle of my garage walk through and no one can get past. Shame on you Dandenong Harvey Norman you need big strong delivery people who are experienced and can man handle big white goods and be able to do something as simple as turning the fridge on an angle or how about this open the frigging doors of the fridge. I had emptied my old fridge and turned it off. I had to stop them from taking my old fridge as I had to put my food back in it. I rang the manager and he refused to call them back even though they had left 3 mins ago and was only interested in assigning blame to someone else. ie my husband. What happened to the good old days of dinkum Australian service

Harvey Norman apple macbook laptop that I bought few month ago

I bought apple Mac book lap top last February which cost me lots with product care, i look after this lap top very well, always i cover it, always keep it in dry place, when i try to turn on this lap top, not turn on, so i took it to Harvey norman shop At Auburn to replace or refund my money, after a week they told me that you spell liquid on this lap top, but it was lie and not true, i look after this lap top so well how can i spill some liquid on expensive item? they treat me in a bad way when i explaining them that i look after this lap top very well and i did not do any things .
i want raise complain to the fair and trading if not pay attention to my complain, i want refund my money, your item was faulty and blaming on customer.
Please investigate this matter and give me your last response.

Harvey Norman laptop

Three days ago I collected my laptop from your Harvey Norman after it being away for repairs through product care for five weeks. I didn't use the device until the following day, and when I did look it over I a noticed significant recent marks and scratches that were not there previous to being sent for repairs. The laptop looks as though it has been dropped onto the charger connection, which is now also bent. There is also a dent at the front of the unit. A peice of the mental casing which I had previously bent has been "fixed", now its rough and sharp, and very unacceptably repaired.
I then took the device on Saturday, around 1, into the store to speak to someone regarding this matter, I think it was Adam. Adam wasn't overly helpful. He offered to keep the device there to show Sarah who wasn't available at this time, but after having it been away for 5 weeks I had a lot to catch up on and did not want to leave it again. I asked to speak to a manager as I had the feeling that Adam did not believe what I was saying to him, and he told me he was pretty much it. So adding insult to injury I then drove home with the result that I would hear from Sarah later.
And I am still waiting!

Harvey Norman lack of communication

Good afternoon

I'm having a lot of difficulty getting the correct replacement signal line from the supplier of my Everfit Treadmill that was delivered Monday 18 November. I'm also having difficulty getting responses from the emails I send to Harvey Norman regarding the replacement of the signal line for said treadmill. I have called Customer Service online phone number and person has said they will message the person handling my case but so far no luck. I'm getting quite frustrated at the lack of communication from Harvey Norman to me and Harvey Norman and their supplier for the Everfit Treadmill. Can someone please get back to me regarding this matter

Harvey Norman laptop repair / replacement (unethical behavior)

Just wanted to let you know about a bad experience I had with the Bathurst Store when trying to get my laptop repaired/replaced after it malfunctioned back in August 2019.

Back on the 21/08/2019 I took my laptop computer in to the Bathurst Superstore after it became faulty. It was booked in on Job Reference Number - 4040 by Tommy as a PRODUCT CARE ISSUE.

After 4 or 5 weeks I went into the store to see if things were progressing - nobody new anything. A week or so later I received a call from someone from PRODUCT CARE telling me the computer was no good and that I can have it repaired or receive a store credit. I chose to have it repaired. Several weeks later they tell me they can't gets parts and I must take a store credit. I said ok lets do it. I will buy a new computer and the store offered to transfer data onto a new computer that they said would do me AT $898.00. No other computer types were offered as a replacement. On the 2/11/19 ( something like 73 days after taking my computer into the store ) I was finally able to pick up the new computer but they charged me $199.00 for the data transfer. ( I wasn't told there would be a charge for this at any time ) Total bill for me was $497.00 plus store credit of $600.00 to replace the faulty unit without product care cover, as I couldnt afford another $275.00. The sales guy on the day of the pickup was quite rude and treated me like the whole issue was my fault. He also said that he couldnt help me with Microsoft Office installation or the Trend security that I had on the original computer. According to my docket the operator was JBOOTH or Zane B. The saddest part of all this is I was made to feel like I was a second class customer that had the hide to return a broken computer. Nobody apologised for the excessive delay in the process or accepted responsibilty for any part of the issues that arose during the process. I am now a very unhappy customer that has to find another business to help me install the missing software that I had on the original laptop and this is another added cost for me. Not fair I believe for someone who was very patient during the whole saga and I feel that the $199.00 data transfer charge after all of the time I went without a computer, was way over the top. Harvey Norman lounge set

Terrible Customer Service- rude and unprofessional Store Manager
On 26 May 2019, I purchased a lounge set from Harvey Norman Castle Hill store for $3, 009 (Original price $3, 239 less Discount $230). Finally the lounge arrived on 18 Sep after so many promises but store charged the full amount $3, 239 instead of $3, 009 from my Go Master Card. Later I contacted to the sales person and raised that issue. Sale person escalated it to her store manager (Jignesh) as she wasn't able to resolve it. In early October I physically went to the store and spoken with the store manager about that issue and I was promised by him that the money ($230) will be reimburse into my account within a week.
It almost six weeks since then but money hasn't been reimbursed into my account. This morning I therefore call the store manager and ask about my refund. However, the guy (Jignesh) was so aggressive and refuse to answer my questions. One stage he accused me falsely that I told him "money is in his pocket" what I never said to him. Unbelievable rudeness and absolutely unprofessional manner - as a result I had to stop talking with him.
Think before visit to the Castle Hill Store - better to avoid that store

Harvey Norman gift card received when purchasing electrical items

I received a gift card when purchasing 2x TV's from your store at lakehaven last year. I have since tried using the card in store and have been advised the gift card is not valid as it should have been activated. The store manager has informed me there is nothing he can do as the card needed to be activated within 6 months of receipt and that there should have been instructions on the card to do this (which there were not) and the salesperson who is no longer working for them should have also provided a form with the card with instructions to activate the card (which he did not). As I am a regular customer of Harvey Norman I don't find this service to be acceptable and I would like a new gift card reissued to me with the appropriate instructions to activate the card as soon as possible. I would appreciate a response to my complaint as soon as possible or I will be taking the matter further. My contact number is [protected]

Im fully disappointed regarding Harvey Norman Service and Feedback.
I was send in twice for warranty the item.I went to Sunway Pyramid more than 4 times due to this kind of service and issue
1st - Sales Team miss selling to customer.As per he mention, if the item is under warranty and unable to repair will be based on the actual price that customer bought.
2nd - Customer Service contact with me and told my item is unable to repair.Harvey Norman will replace another one for me.After i go to Sunway Pyramid and check.The item that replaced is totally unacceptable for the price range and design.My item is under Limited Edition.Im bought 3k included the warranty and the item is just almost 2 years.I was send in twice for warranty issue.Based on the replace item is basic and no warranty protection.What kind of warranty that i bought!And during i told to Customer Service regarding this matter, They revert this is not under their control and matter.This is totally not responsibility at all to customer.
3rd - Customer Service doesn't helpful at all and Keep force me to make decision that im not satisfy.They keep on delay my time and no feedback at the end and its take almost 2 months!

Harvey Norman delivery

I bought a matters on 3th of November in Harvey Norman located at Supacenta Kensington NSW, and the seller said they should deliver on next Saturday on 9th. So I didn't work on Saturday waiting for the deliver and until now I haven't got any contact from them. My husband called them on Sunday asking about, and they said they would call us on Monday to book the delivery. I haven't heard from them until now. I'm very disappointed and frustrated with Harvey Norman service. I would not recommend.

Harvey Norman Quality and warranty support of my new marina leather lounge

Really unhappy with Harvey Norman Bundall Gold Coast, disappointed with the quality and warranty support of my new Marina leather lounge purchased earlier this year. The pigment has peeled away and it has been deemed not to be covered by warranty. Having spent $3000 on a 3 seater lounge that has deteriorated in under 6 months is deemed faulty in my eyes. Having owned several leather lounges this is the first time I have had pigment peeling away. Harvey Norman needs to stand behind their product they sell instead of making excuses it was our fault and not the faulty leather, not happy Jan ☹, I will never buy anything again from HN, we just feel they just don't care, look elsewhere to buy your furniture.

Ours did exactly the same.. Purchased from a Harvey Norman Store in WA
When we made contact with the Store of purchase they told us it was us not cleaning it correctly. We purchased their cleaning product recommended at an additional cost to give us extra Warranty - apparently not.

The electronics have failed on one side and there is something loose underneath on the other.
Great service on selling it to us but voided warranty grrrr ! Its ready for the tip !

We have experienced virtually the same leatherwork problems to those reported above by Gerardm (Harvey Norman — Quality and warranty support of my new marina leather lounge) on lounge chairs we purchased from Harvey Norman Furniture Townsville - and received a similar response from them when reporting the problem. So we wonder just how many others who purchased similar Chinese made leather lounge products from Harvey Norman experienced similar leather deterioration problems. In regard to the post by Gerardm (Harvey Norman — Quality and warranty support of my new marina leather lounge) above, we have experienced virtually the same leatherwork deterioration problems with Chinese made leather lounge chairs purchased Harvey Norman Furniture Townsville - and received a similar response from them. We now wonder just how many other similar cases there are out there? Harvey Norman dining table marble (worth rm 8000)

I purchased a dining table . Person in charged was Rizal (s.pyramid malaysia) convinced us it is real marble etc etc. However, However The table was ruined and peeled (to our surpised it wasnt a real marble). He later argue that it was because of water! I am sure by now you know your customers well, and no one would pour such heavy water on dining table! Then i Was asking for replacement till Mr Tan (cust servce department) contacted me regarding the matter. He also argued and refused to exchange it till i told him im gonna lodge a complaint to HN aussie. So Today he came up to me with ridiculous cost i need to bear for the exchange goods amounted to RM 1020! The reason being i have to bear for the delivery charges. And also GOODWILL (RM 500)! He attached an email from serena ( HN HQ malaysia regarding this ) i later asked what is goodwill the company is on about he told me its the dismantle and installation fees. Why the heck i have to bear the costing as much?! When it wasnt even caused from our end?! This is ridiculously stupid and unpractical!for the quality and poor service it is a ripped off price and i felt such as daylight robbery!

Your sales person gave misleading info bout the product, amounted us to enter into sales and purchase goods and now, the customer service trying to ripoff from us for some irrelevant fees! It is such an embarrassment for HN aussie to have such people to represent the compny's good faith! And it is also such an embarrassment for the company to charged customers for the sake of making more money on top of the poor quality products!

I need explanation on this matter. Or else i want a full refund back. Cleary the table wasnt real marble, then they putting on costs for me to do exchange and they are verY arrogant, unhelpful and giving attitude such (take it or leave it)! Harvey Norman whitehaven theatre chair

I bought a theatre chair in August that has faulty lights. I complained to Harvey Norman, Booval and over a month later they sent out a guy who replaced the cup holders. That didn't work so another month later he replaced the lights...and that didn't work. I am done with this chair and dealing with the girls at your Booval store, they are rude and have never updated me during this process. I am left to follow up this myself and I'm over it.

You have my money and I have a lounge that doesn't work properly. Why does a product that is faulty get put into a box and sent out anyway? Is this floor stock?

and why are your girls that work the showroom floor so overly nice when people are looking to spend but as soon as you get a stuffed product and complain, the girls act like you're the worst person?

I want a brand new chair that works.
