Harbor Freight Tools There business practice!!

I received a card from them last year. I made one purchase and when I tryed to make my payment online it wouldn't go through. So I called them. My payment was supposed to be 27.00 but they were wanting 57.00. They told me my Nov's payment was late but my Dec payment wasn't due until the middle of Dec. yet they were wanting me to pay it in Nov. I told them I would just pay everything in Dec.
I made my FULL payment as promised. Then I received a letter stating my limit went from $800 to $160. This was last year. I have made charges and now I just pay off the balance. Now my card has been paid off for the last 3 or 4 months now. Today I tryed to make a purchase total of $185 and it was turned down. When I contacted them I was told my limit is $160 so I requested to get a balance increase and I was turned down. This is outrageous. I have 3 other cards. This is unreasonable. I'm getting the impression it's harbor freight not wanting my business.

Desired outcome: Not sure there is a solution to this

Harbor Freight Tools Centec 4 in 1 power pack

I have a centec 4 in 1 power pack that worked fine. I only used the air compressor and never the cables. I re charged it each month but last re charge was about a month and 1/2 . Well now it will not charge, stone dead, and not happy with this unit. I have been corresponding with product support but get no where. The internal battery should not be dead this soon. Help!

Went to buy a generator. 3 day holiday Sales. At register to purchase was told sold out. Asked when more would come in, girl said they didn't know when next truck would be in. 2nd clerk said the next truck would not have any either. Asked why run a 3 day sale on something you don't have in stock. The 1st clerk couldn't answer any questions the 2nd made effort but then a third person who worked there showed up cutting in never identified herself. She was rude, abrasive, condescending, nothing constructive to add, and succeeded in an escalation. Said, No ordering in store, they sold out yesterday and did not keep them on the floor but in the back, sold out due to hurricane(which was over a week ago). I had been in 2 days earlier and there were none out, yet the higher priced had 1 in box on floor and the cheaper ones were boxed on floor. So why weren't they in the back? There was no out of stock sign on anything. I never got a "I'm sorry. Or even a "Let me check in the back to make sure."The 3rd had nothing helpful to say. It became an irritating exchange in a store I normally shop at but will refrain from now.

Harbor Freight Tools Employees at harbor freight store on Rosedale Highway in Bakersfield

I went to your store in Bakersfield that is off of 3745 Rosedale Highway, and while I was in the there I asked two employees where a product was located, Both employees were very rude and when I looked in to their eyes I could tell their eyes were dilated and one of them smelled like marijuana, I feel like being at work high is very unprofessional, I did catch one of the names it was Austin and the other one started with a V. I have never been treated so poorly in a store, does the company not drug test their employees, Like if one of them would of caused me to get hurt believe me there would be a lawsuit against the company! If the store wasnt so close to my house I'd never shop there again and I'd tell my family friends and I'd post it on my podcast that has over 3000 subscribers but I feel like neither on of us want to go that route so irl rather see disciplinary action get taken then to get you to lose alot of customers.

Desired outcome: I feel like disciplinary action needs be taken and drug test need to be a priority

Harbor Freight Tools Sales Supervisor

I enjoy going to Harbor Freight to shop. Since I have visited the Whiteville NC store my shopping experience has not been so nice. the Retail Supervisor, Jason, is very unpleasant. Every time I have been he has seemed to have an attitude and very disrespectful. His demeaner is less than desirable. He seems to be disrespectful not only to customers, myself included, but to the cashiers. His tones, facial jesters, and body movement states it all. I a have heard him talk profanity to them as well. I am really displeased with him and his actions. I hope someone can work with him to be a better person or let him go. I am not the only one that feels this way. I have several friends that feel the same way. Something needs to be done.

Bought into your Lynxx line. On the web, you say you have replacement parts. When I call, your replacement part is only the battery. You don't carry the line anymore. I want to buy a replacement motor or to buy a replacement String Trimmer. Learning I should not buy anything expensive that I expect to support from you?

Harbor Freight Tools Policy/sales

Hello. My name is Ryan Canfield. I am shopping for tool boxes and the US general 72 inch top/bottom box seems to be the best bang for the buck and well built too. Here is the problem; local stores do not have any in stock and the manager (she was polite and professional) at my local store in Culpeper Virginia told me orders are 2-3 months out. There was a nice green set (floor model) sitting in the store. I asked if I could buy the floor model and was told "no that policy prohibits this.
So a loyal Harbor freight customer like me wants to buy a big dollar item that is sitting on the floor i. My local store that can't be ordered in a timely fashion for months and Harbor Freight refuses to make a sale? That doesn't sound like a good policy to me. It just frustrates customers like me and prevents sales and dampens revenue. Why would (under these difficult logistics conditions and lead time in ordering) would Harbor Freight not bend their policy a little to make a sale and keep a loyal (Us Veteran) customer happy?

Harbor Freight Tools Compressor

I went to your Buckhorn PA, store to buy an air compressor. I looked through all models and sizes, found the one I wanted and was told they did not have it in stock. Apparently none of the stores had it in stock. I was told it was probably something that was being discontinued. No problem I said, how about the floor model, and was told they are not allowed to sell them... The one and only model I wanted in the store... I couldn't buy. So I inquired maybe then when they change over I could buy that one... At a topping discount of course "joking" with the guy... He says maybe you could buy that one... I asked to put me in touch with someone I could set that up with and I was told I would just have to keep calling the store to check on it for god knows how long till I got the ok to buy it. So I gave up and left quietly, I went elsewhere and bought something I really didn't want because I needed it 'now'... Sorry to say that I call that pretty shoddy business practice and would hope that you folks could find a way to make sure that it doesn't happen to anyone else. Harbor Freight Tools Tailgator 900 watt 2 cycle gas powered portable generator, pneumatic file

Just had a horrible experience at your Quakertown, PA, store. Not only were your employees rude and terse, happy only to get rid of me, but the item tail gator 900 Watt 2 Cycle Gas Powered Portable Generator was listed online as in stock and it was NOT. They also wouldn't let me purchase the floor model when this is a clearance item and will no longer be available... as far as I know. It was difficult to know anything since your employees kept repeating that they had no idea about anything, whether more were coming in, whether there was more in the back (after a 30 second search), or whether there was a suitable replacement, AND couldn't wait to get rid of me even though I was courteous and patient. NO, I did not provoke your ignorant employees. They had NO interest in customer service. I am NOT HAPPY. Asking about another item I know you've sold for years (pneumatic file) their answer was, "I don't know what that is." I've worked in retail and helping people find what they need is NOT that hard. — Don Sweet

Desired outcome: I'd like to know something was done about this. Your training at this store is HORRIBLE and no customer should be treated this way.

I was informed I could do in store pickup with icon toolbox. I talked with two harbor freight employees yesterday both said I would be contacted yesterday to do instore pickup . Talked with the local manager Ryan in the queensbury location also with no return phone call I spent over 10, 000 with your company in the last 3 weeks I would like some help today with this issue

Harbor Freight Tools Coupons and prices

I just want to express my opinion to the Harbor Freight Brass. I have been a loyal customer to your stores for years and part of that was due to the 20% discount coupons and the little freebies you offered. Now that you have discontinued those, I will shop at other tool stores. Also I notice your prices for Chinese tools (which I have no problem buying, not for their quality but for the price) have gone up quite a bit. If your prices compare to Home Depot, Lowes, and tractor Supply, I will shop there instead for better quality. Please don't price yourselves out of my business. Please DO NOT blame the coupon issue on the Wuhan Flu like one of your employees tried to pawn off on me, We all know that is BS. Thank you for letting me vent my disappointment with your store.

Desired outcome: Bring back 20% on anything, and freebies.

Harbor Freight Tools not sticking to price

This morning I pulled a picture and price of 209.99 for a cement mixer. I sent a driver 2hours to Dubois Pa store and was told the price is now 229.0. so I come inside and look it up on the computer and find that it is changed. I spoke with the manager and was told sorry and that his rep explained it to my driver.
A customer that will pay a driver to go 2hours to pick up a product and to be told this. shame on Harbor freight. I did in the past buy a lot of tools from Harbor Freight and a Harbor freight at that time the closest is 2 hours. Well with this kind of service you will not see one cent from me or anyone that I talk to. It is a shame that you can't honor your prices all day at least. 20.00 dollars is not the biggest problem the fact that I sent someone 2hours is. Think the next time your employees brush off someone as that 20 dollars cost you a whole lot more, at least hundreds in not thousands in the future .

Desired outcome: at this point you can't do anything to get me back Oh yes there is ship it to me at 209.99 plus the 6% sales tax of a total of $222.59. Delivered by Saturday January 30th as I have a job to get finished

Harbor Freight Tools Tools/Work Environment

I just thought I should mention that I was in a Harbor Fright Store and it really STUNK of something like manufacturing, or machinist's oil. I guess they use it to produce cheaper tools (I think their cheaper, at least)? That can't be healthy to breathe or get on your hands. I can't believe it's even legal.

Come on Harbor Freight! Show that you give a damn for more than just the bottom line!

Harbor Freight Tools Cen tech item number 64003 3 in 1 jump starter.

I purchased this 3-in-1 Jump starter item # 640003 6/16/2020. For I purchased this 3-in-1 Jump starter item # 640003 6/16/2020. For what ever reason the jump Starter has lost its work light the battery condition indicators and its ability to jump start. I have one of your older jump starters I have had for years and it works very well. I am very disappointed in this Cen Tech as it has given me very little service for the few times it has been used. I have purchased many many tools etc: from Harbor Freight and have had good results with each purchase but this tool is a great disappointment. Purchased at store# 00140 Reg: 03 Tran: 406795. If there is anything you can do to help correct this I would be greatly appreciate.

Harbor Freight Tools I ordered a 9 drawer tool box they sent me a 1 drawer tool box.

I ordered a 9 drawer tool box when the truck showed up they shipped me a 1 drawer tool box. I rejected the tool box I have been waiting for a refund of 288.99 now I have received a bill from the trucking company...
Now the trucking company wants 352.06 from me... I still have not received my refund of 288.99.

Harbor Freight Tools Closed store before closing time to prepare for district manager store walk the next day. Unbelievable.

I arrived at 7:40pm and the store was closed. A bunch of employees were there. All working frantically. The store hours were posted and closing time was 8:00pm. After much knocking and tapping on the door an employee arrived at the door. He explained they closed early to prepare for a store walk by the district manager the next day. Unbelievable. I therefore missed a special buy price as it was the last day on the coupon special.

Harbor Freight Tools Angle grinder 9"

I'm a long time, Harbor Freight, inside track customer. I bought a 9"Angle Grinder #69085. It was on a clearance, so I bought it. The first time I used it, the grinder slowly ground to a halt. This is a heavy-duty grinder and it didn't last 15 minutes. Now, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. The local Harbor Freight store could not find the sale, which was in August of 2020. I was told from the 1-800 number that the"brushes"that might have allowed me to repair the grainder were NOT available any more. The folks in Camirillo refused to help, telling me that a district manager would get in touch with me in 2-5 business days.

After 30 years as a Harbor Freight customer, I'm ready to demand that Harbor Freight helps me get this angle grinder running. I don't need the money or the any free stuff... just a way to get this 9" grinder running. If this is what Harbor Freight is willing to do to sidestep their responsibility to take care of me... then I will go quietly, but will never darken your doorstep again.

Harbor Freight Tools Order not fulfilled, no refund.

Since June 21st, 2020 I have not received my last item (see order listed below) which is a 6 in. Ultra-Fine Foam Polishing Pad - White. I paid this order using a Harbor Freight gift card I received for Father's day. All other (4) items in that order has been received. I have sent numerous emails to Harbor Freight customer service asking for refund and or credit/gift card. I've gotten the same automated response saying a gift card would be sent but have not received anything. It's been more than 60 days with no results. I'm about to accelerate this complaint to the BBB. One thing I learned from this is that I will never again order anything online shopping at Harbor Freight Tools.

Harbor Freight Tools Service

Store manager and store employee of the harbor freight store in Marble falls, TX we had called they told us item was available and when we got here store manager said they didn't have any whilst the store employee said they did that it was in the back or in the truck. They were not friendly or helpful either. Looks to me they just didn't want to offer the Customer service that they were hired to do.

Harbor Freight Tools Customer service/shipping problem

Bad customer service and worse shipping experience ever. Placed an online order. Over a week didn't receive any shipping notification on order, emailed customer service. Take 2 days for a respond. They claimed my order were on backorder. I request to cancel the order then. 2 days later received another email saying they can't cancel order because it was shipped prior and gave me a tracking # which supposed to arrive in 1 week. Week past and nothing showed up. Trace the tracking with Fedex and they showed the order was pasted onto USPS to deliver. Trace the tracking with USPS and its been 5 days now USPS still claim they have never receive the package from Fedex. Contacted Harbor Freight customer service and still no respond.
