Hair Club For Men spam

I received a Spam email from the Hair Club which seemed enticing, since my hair is receding (now I realize that I must have been identified by someone as a potential sales lead and no doubt there is commission at stake if they reel me in. Well, having a little idel time on my hands, I took the bait and clicked through to their web site at HairClub.com and found they even had a location in my own city here in Tampa, Florida. Wow, how convenient I thought! Hmmm, I was seriously thinking about taking their free promotion to inspect my hair and scalp (a $250.00 savings) forgetting that my $15 Barber could offer some free advice. Anyway, I thought what's the harm with letting them take a look and giving me some options, information and free advice. Then, on a hunch, since there are so many scams now-a-days, I went to Google and searched for Hair Club complaints and was so thankful I did, because after reading all of the horror stories from people who had done business with the Hair Club (or should I say, attempted to do business with the Hair Club) I got all of the information and free advice I needed without even leaving my chair and keyboard. So, for all of you who had such a terrible experience with the Hair Club, thanks for at least taking the time to post your comments here and elsewhere, because you really are helping others avoid the same grief and there is no telling how much money you have saved other individuals like myself, who might have been sucked in to a scam like this if it wasn't for your efforts to warn others. Thanks again ... I'll keep my thin hair and keep smiling too!

Hello my name is lozamar Alexis, I was a hair club member for about a year, when I signed up with them they told me that I should get my hair back in about 4 weeks, 4 months came no new hair growth than 6 months a year still no new hair growth, I paid them $2500 for nothing, I tried calling them, they told me that they didn't know why it didn't work, I need to know what I can do to get my money back from them, can someone please help

HCFM in Puerto Rico is a scam! do not go there if you live in puerto rico nonono. Hi my name is Edgardo and I ve been rob by this people telling me that I look good, and when I got aut to my friends they laft at me because it, s realy look bad, not natural at all. And I ask for a refound an they say no way jose, so I lost $2, 600.00 I guest Im calling my lawyer. So I you know think before you go and be weare of this people, they dont care.

You should go back to Hair Club and speak to you consultant . If your are unsatisfied with your appearance, you should know that Hair Club has other options avilable to you for your hair loss. So not only can you treat your hair loss but also so you did not lose out on any money.

Hair Club For Men product and service

Do Not Use or Buy this product. I was a client of Hair Club for Men for 3 years from 1997 to 2000. I decided to give them another try and on my first visit I ended up walking out.
Nothing about this company has chenged in 9 years. Terrible product and terrible service.

First of all, I am not a man. I am a woman who lost my hair due to medical condition. I have been a member since 2006. My job causes me to travel all over the USA and so I have been a member in many states. The hair was gorgeous, the stylists excellent, and the ease of getting an appointment was wonderful until yesterday when I tried to transfer my membership to Jacksonville, FL location. The manager was rude, condescending and so horrible to me that I was reduced to tears. For starters she called me a “person off the street” who walked in as unknown expecting to be a member. She stated that she does not know me, has no equity in me and she went on to say that I was “not worth the risk”. The manager in Philadelphia assured her that I was a member. That did not matter to this Joy Griffiths. Nope. She continued to say that a basic customer was not worth her time. She said that I would just buy hair and disappear! Then when I decided NOT to be a member of her shop, she raised her voice and became even more verbally abusive yelling and screaming at me, “Are you effin serious?” Now, I am a professional, I am a member, and a good customer who always bought product and have a reputation of being a good client and a good tipper. I have sat for hours in the chair since 2006. I KNOW how to do this myself, however prefer a professional. I can buy hair off the internet. I can write evaluations like this, and I can tell everyone I know how Hairclub in Jacksonville treated me! Joy Griffiths told me to “go ahead” Said she has been at her location since 2006, “knows her business and was not concerned about a person of the streets like myself”. I intend to report her and this story to the corporate level. I am a professional woman and I have access to many wealthy men who don’t even know that I go to Hairclub. I can change that in a second and stop them from going there. Who do they think they are that they can blast a person for a job relocation? I don’t want to know any more about Joy Griffiths in Jacksonville, Florida. She is rude, nasty and has a terrible level of ridicule. She is mean and just not my type of human being. Maybe in this economy she does not need customers. I don’t know, but I plan to post this story everywhere so that people in Jacksonville can know what a horrible person she is and what a rotten business she runs. She also said that she would call the Tampa office and “warn them” about me- basically blackballing me from business! Look it up folks. I have been a good standing member since 2006 and this woman is the most nasty individual I have ever encountered. No woman without hair should be reduced to tears! Joy, you are right. You don’t know me. I did not get where I am today and learn to work every day even without hair to have the likes of you insult me. Go to Jacksonville, Florida at your own risk

Sorry you did not have a good experience at the Hair Club you visited. However it does not mean the all Hair Clubs are unsatisfactory. There are many Hair Club clients who are satisfied and have been members for many years. Being a previous member, you know how the product can vary, as it is hand crafted as well as your own reponsibility of home maintance . Being able to communitate properly with the consultant as well as your own personal stylist would had ensured a more satisfactory result.

Well I was a customer for 3 years. All I have to say is that after you get your new hair and wear it for one month, the hair starts getting very dry and brittle and starts falling out of the hair system. I called and complained many many times. Kelly the manager in New Haven also made me feel like it was my fault. She would always say that I was not using...

Hair Club For Men dishonesty

First of all I made full payment 6 weeks prior to treatment. When I was called for consultation I was introduced to Bio Matrix. The consultant, Alexander made Bio Matrix sound like part of my hair. I got excited because I thought hairtransplant cost arm and leg maybe Bio Matrix will do samething. Here is the dishonest part, Alexander or any other consultant that you may encounter will never tell what really Bio Matrix is about. Let me make very clear what Bio Matrix really is. Bio Matrix is equal to Wig, that is right you read it correctly it is wig that glued on your scalp. You sleep with it, you take shower, or when you sweem it is there. It may sound good but, take it from my experience it is like living in hell. First of all it makes your scalp ithcy, second of all when you comb your hair you won`t be able to comb your hair through, you just have to go a lttle higher. Worst part is you have to go back and get new hair and glued back on your scalp very painful process not only that everytime you get new hair you pay another $1500 plus there are variety of product that you have to use in order to keep the wig on your scalp healthy. Keep spending until they make you go broke. I am telling you from my heart go bald but never give a chance to Bio Matrix, because your health is more important and why would you want to give your hard working money to dishonest business(Hair Club). If you do a little calculation you will notice for the long run Bio Matrix is the most expensive treatment you can ever have let alone all the time that you would be wasting by going back there so many times. I tried Bio Matrix for less than a week I could not take it and I went back told them to take the hair piece off my scalp. I lost $1500, I was hoping to get some of my money back but I was told refund was out of question. Those who got ripped by Hair club please lets get together and show them that, they can not intimidate us. This high way rubbery can not go on. If we can get united we can defeat giant corporation. We must have a voice.

I am myself a victim of hair club the one in west palm beach. The product extreme that they use is not working for me after 9 month of using them and went every month for treatment. I am still bald in my crown..and my hair overall hair grow only 3 inches. I went to them because of that problem my crown part of my hair was falling off. they decided to shave my hair almost completely that i regret. Unfortunately i lost 1 377.10 partial of the overall cost and still have a balance of 737 that i am not going to continue to paid them. I am so happy that i found that blog hope other people find it too and all together we can stop that ..

Does anyone know what may be a better solution to Hair lost? Has anyone tried Bosley or are they all alike?

Hello there. I am a former Hair Club member. About 9 years ago i noticed my hair thinning..not too much just on the top and sides. I was beginning to get depressed and tried many different things to help the growth. I came across Hair Club online and decided to get the free scalp analysis consultation that they offered. My stylist that I had was shaving my head all the way around on the top edges and not only applied the medical adhesive to the wig but also DIRECTLY onto my scalp! Now I have baldness all around my head. My hair will grow a little longer but won't fill in at all. After all this time I haven't seen an improvement with my hair growing back after them using the medical adhesive. I actually see it is worse now. Since hair club I have been wearing wigs for over 8 years now. I wish I had NEVER went to Hair Club in the first place. I have left so many jobs due to harassment and ridicule. I have lost tons of money due to believing in this false hope. My confidence is gone. I want to be a part of a Class Action lawsuit and join anyone who is interested. It is time to get our due diligence for all of us who have been scammed and hurt in the long run, either emotionally or financially. Please, will anyone stand with me and get our justice? I am considering contacting a lawyer. I live in Michigan.

I wished I could have read this before I was mislead. Every thing I've read is very true. Stay away! I'm Suppose to go there tomorrow to tell them to take this dry hair piece off! They lied and was mislead like everyone else. I've had the piece for 3 weeks. The first week the thing fell off and when I went back last week to have it adjusted I was told it wouldn't fall off again. I have the integrated matrix put on with micro clamps and I have to say I can't sleep because my hair feels like it's being pulled all nite and in the morning I feel my scalp in swollen hot and painful. When I shower the top (wig) yes wig. (And let me tell u they will get literally angry if you use the wig word) feels so heavy when in the shower it feels like someone is pulling your hair off. It's awful. I can't brush without pulling my scalp. It's always painful. I'm getting head aches. I am scheduled to go in tomorrow to take this thing off. It not a good experience. They are trying to have me switch to the glue down matrix and after reading all the feedback I don't think I will. Thank u all for inputting your honest experience. Is I too strongly feel this company is a misleading company. I had reserve when I first went and no one working there had the system on them especially when some had thinning hair themselves. Yet they were trying to sell me the 3800. Or so price I paid for a piece of dried up wig. stay away!

Thanks everyone for your input. I went today for a consultation. They said the 6 month treatment is 2, 000 and the 1 year treatment is 3000 for the year plus tax. They allowed me to read the ingrediance of there shampoo and conditioning. I always read the ingrediance on a product before I use it. they where explaining that I needed to remove the dirty and built up in and around the hair follicles. Then they allow the minoxidil to set in which allows the hair to grow and also taking vitamins along with it. They are saying totally different from what everyone else is saying. I don't Think i want to move forward with this company after what everyone just said.

I was just a victim of Hair Club this Tuesday from the Chicagoland office 2500. Is what I lost and I was told I would get strand by strand to match my hair in the thinning areas instead I have chemical burns all over my scalp from th relaxer they use. Been crying fir two days haven't been back to work since so embarrassed.

Hair-club is a total scam. Trust me, i dealt with them, the use insane pressure tactics to lure you in, you will to a point where you feel like they are about to grab you by your collar if you attempt to just get up and walk away. they try to take full advantages of your insecurities about baldness and thinning hair, they make it seem as you will shunned by society for going bald. Well, i had the courage to get up and walk away, they weren't able to get a penny from me, there were follow up phone calls trying to come back in for another free consultation, i just kept hanging up on them.. Scam..Scam..Scam..If you really want a permanent and effective solution to your hair loss problem, get a hair transplant but yeah it does cost an arm and a leg, save up for it for a couple of years and go for it.

Hair Club For Men scam charges

Thanks for all the reviews about Hair Club. It helped me change my mind and save money. They seem like just a business trying to rip people off. When they asked for deposit they processed everything really fast but for crediting my money back, they are acting so slow and do not respond my calls back! Shame on such a business!

Yes, the Hair Club is not cheap and there is some selling behind getting you to join, and there even is some maintenance to keeping your hair (and appearance) looking nice, however it beats the heck out of being a cue ball. Give the company and process a break. I've been a client for 10 years and have my full confidence back. For me, HCM is what they say it will be. I look and feel great!

Hair Club For Men fraud and cheating

I absolutely would NOT recommend The Hair Club for Men and Women to anyone! I was charged $1000.00 and received no services or products. I signed a contract (after a great deal of high pressure tactics, I might add) to receive the product they call "my hair" on all their commercials - in an attempt to make people think it's not really just a wig glued to your head. The very next morning I called and told them that the glue they had used in the patch test had left a terrible rash on my head and I therefore, could not agree to have a whole wig glued to my head with this stuff. They offered to do one of the other procedures - which they had already told me would NOT be effective for me based on the hair analysis they had administered themselves. I told them I also wasn't willing to pay thousands of dollars for a procedure they had already told me wouldn't work for me. The whole experience with The Hair club was a long, ugly process involving several unpleasant phone calls and my written dispute of charges, etc. But in the end, I still had a $1000.00 bill for which I received NOTHING! Oh, and by the way, they won't tell you this, and they will conveniently leave it out when reviewing the contract - which they won't give you time to read yourself before pressuring you to sign, but the hair piece which cost $2000.00 only last 6 months then you have to start all over. Not to mention that you have to go into them about every month to get the thing removed and re-glued since it's glued to your hair line. I've done a little research since then and found that many others report having dealt with The Hair Club only to learn that they sell an inferior product at an outrageously high price and don't stand behind their product. When you start having problems with it (in my case before I actually even received the product), that's just too bad. They have your signature. You're stuck!

i'm a current customer of Hair club in Colorado. i have been a customer for over 3 years. I agree with all of the complaints. I paid almost $500 per month to get the better quality Matrix which is supposed to look more authentic. The more expensive "better quality hair pieces" fell apart. They are removed and reapplied every 3 weeks and replaced every 9 weeks which is approximately 6 hair pieces per year. However, the hair would shed excessively usually in the back or the sides but sometimes bald spots develop in the front. I had to fight with the customer service team to get them to replace the hair. at times, i was made to wear the balding hair piece for several weeks while new hair was being ordered even though i payed for the higher plan that was supposed ensure that i always had a spare hair piece on hand should there be any issues.

Sometimes the hair would tangle and mat at the scalp. this problem would start a week or two into the new hair and continue to get worse and worse over time. i'd comb out the tangles but with in 20 - 30 minutes they would return. i was given all sorts of reasons for this problem from we have no idea, to we have had lots of problems with our suppliers, to a portion of the follicle was not removed during processing, etc. The only thing that fixed the problem was replacing the hair.

Management, unbeknownst to me, started ordering a hairpiece with a plastic base all along the hairline as as solution to the shedding issue. Due to the plastic lining, this hair piece was uncomfortable and bulky, and it looked completely unnatural. No matter how much i complained about the new plastic lined hair piece they continued to order it, but the shedding continued. One particular hair piece that i recieved was lined with silicon along the hairline in the back from ear to ear instead of plastic and would not attach to my head because the glue and the tape would not stick to the silicone. i had to wear this hair with the back unsecured to my head for the next 3 weeks while i waited for the new hair already on order to arrive. i could not switch back to the previous piece because it was so badly matted. this is an inferior product.

it took more than a year of constant complaining and finally telling the manager that i had enough and was going to discontinue the service. the manager offered to freeze my account (meaning i would not be charged) while they looked for a solution to the many problems i was having . he said that it may take 3 - 6 months before they found the right solution but to please be patient and work with them. so i did. and over the next 6 months they continued to order the same product. There were no conversations as to what they would order in terms of hair, matrix or suppliers. there was zero communication. I kept getting the same old product and experiencing the same problems. Finally at the end of the 6 month period, i received a hair piece that had a new matrix and different hair. I was excited. It actually looks pretty natural. As soon as it was affixed to my head - and i mean as soon - the assistant manager asked me to step into her office. where she demanded that I begin making payments again. i explained that this was the first new technology that i had received since the manager froze my account and promised to find a solution. I needed to see if this new product would last the full 9 weeks before i made my decision to stay with hair club and begin paying again. she insisted that i could not wait and would have to begin paying again right away. This has turned into a battle Royale. I have been accused of not using the company hair products implying that i have caused the hair problems. I currently have 27 bottles of various hair club hair products under my bathroom sink. i dont buy more product because i dont need more product. I have escalated to the manager who doesn't returns calls and is rarely in the office. i have to track him down, leave messages, etc. and when i do speak to him, he doesn't provide an answer. He hems and ha's and then says he will get back to me after he speaks with his boss. but he never does. He will wait until my next appointment when the assistant manager will call me into her office again and we will argue and i will escalate again.

i have a type of alopecia that causes partial hair loss. i also allowed Hair Club to shave my head to allow the hair to be glued to my scalp and make it easier to remove. they don't tell you of the need to shave your head until after you've signed the initial 1 year contract. i am terrified that after 3 years my hair will not grow back in the two inch wide ring around my head where the glue was applied. i should never have done business with these people. Do not do business with this company. they will over charge you, you will not get what you paid for, they will not follow through or follow up. this has been 3 years of distress. as i told the hair stylist, i can have bald spots all by myself, i dont need to pay them for the privilege.

It was by far the biggest rip off I have ever signed into. They totally lie with what you are going to receive, saying they will regrow my hair back to my old days but only to really give me a wig. The money you spend is really the monthly maintenance for the wig. I was totally shocked when they applied that thing on my head, but they took the before and after picture so quickly that I couldn’t even have time to process what was going on. Because they have pictures of their service being used, I was unable to get my money back. I called, spoke to the managers, and they quickly went to becoming extremely rude, aggressive and unhelpful.

Listen, there is a reason why they make new patients wait in a totally different room from other patients, simply they don’t want you to see what you’re really getting yourself into. It’s totally obvious that it’s a wig. Don’t fall for their lies or any other fancy word they use for wig. If you walk in to the patient room, they will quickly tell you to go to the other side in the new patient room which is really the trap room.

I agree with you, i watched many Men coming out of the salon with a an obvious toupee on their head that didn't blend in with the their natural hair. Its was very obviously a different texture and sometimes a different color. I even brought it up with a stylist once and she indicated it was the customers preference, if you can believe that.

Hair club for women needs to be shut down. All this money for some glued on wigs and still have to pay for the hair products. I wish I would have never gone. I was desperate. I have a form of alopecia so I have hair loss. I just wanted my hair back. What a disappointment. I told the manager that I wasn’t coming back. He said what will you do without your wig( from them). I said I don’t know wearing it bald sounds a lot better than dealing with y’all and I RAN 🏃🏽‍♀️not walked out of that building never looking back😀

Hair Club is a fraud. I went to the Louisville, KY Hairclub. They had fired one manager and need to the present one. They think we are stupid and I guess we are because we fell for it. You can get Rogaine at Walmart and Viviscal Vitamins at GNC that are the same we paid hundreds for. I was even told my 9 treatments had to be consecutive..lol Things come up, people get sick.. I was told when I signed up that if I colored my hair I had to let them do it. One of their operators at Louisville told me they use permanent and semi permanent hair color and same thing I used at home..

I'm concerned that they shaved my head at one point until I vehemently protested! Now when they do the monthly maintenance I have total bald spots ! So what is causing my new hair loss ? The glue ? The fact that the wig is suffering my hair follicles ? I'm very confused !

Hair Club For Men Bad service

On October 6, 2007 I went with my boyfriend to look into hair transplants and similar opportunities. Hearing about the hair club for men and women, I figured it would be a rewarding experience. As it happened, it was completely the opposite. We went in and talked to a consultant and was explained the process and completed the interview portion. She took us into the trial room and explained the payment procedures. She said we were eligible for a DISCOUNT card and said we could pay $75 a month to pay off the debt. She mentioned this a few times. She had him sign and me cosign. We even specifically asked if it was a discount card and she said yes. She then had us sign a paper that supposedly she explained everything on. The bottom of the paper with the address and company information just happened to be cut off. A couple weeks later me and my boyfriend recieved a credit card in both of our names with a $3000.00 charge on it. I called and cancelled the credit card immediately. We called the Hair Club repeatedly and got nothing. I guess that is normal procedure for them not to answer or call back as it has been mentioned previously by other complaints. Once we got hold of the consultant she blatantly lied to us over the phone saying she never said discount card. She also said nothing of a credit card, mind you, and she claimed she did. We are 1000% perfectly sure she said DISCOUNT card. When they did not work with us we filed a complaint with the better business bureau. After working with them the hairclub still had it come down to us paying half of the $3000.00 that we recieved no physical services for. So basically they reject any refunds for doing nothing, and they make you pay for recieving nothing, and in the end their customers lose. It is my advice to anyone reading this to not trust them and to read everything they ask you to sign, no matter what they say.

Doncosa cut my hair completely off. I used it for a year and was wasting my money everytime. Then I said enough is enough and started weaving my hair. Stay away from Doncosa if you want to keep your hair.

Hair Club For Men scam

Hair Club For Men's "consultant" is nothing but a trashy, smooth-talking salesperson. In the so-called "free consultation", I was informed that their awesome product was not a wig.

Like an idiot, I let the "consultant" rush me into signing their rip-off contract. When their amazing product arrived, it was nothing but a cheap, obviously fake wig stuffed in an envelope! By the way, she did not tell me that they were going to shave my existing hair till AFTER I was dubbed into signing. What a scam! I intend to fight this outrage because I'm not dissatisfied, I was just ripped-off.

I went to a consultation to Hair Club recently in Burlington, Canada, where a new Hair Club just opened. I thought it was strange to start with, that some one from a call center would call me to confirm my appointment. They said to be sure that I attend the appointment because a consultant would be waiting for me. I was 5 minutes early, but ended up waiting for over 10 minutes before being seen by anyone. Then I filled out an information page, telling them my situation and my expectations. The consultant was friendly and seemed concerned about my hair loss. I noticed that she was pressuring me to join at the end of the consultation because she told me that I needed to get started ''right away'' because I had a chance of saving my hair because it is not too far gone yet. She said the sooner I started, the better. She said I would not be a candidate if I waited another week, and seemed annoyed suddenly. I asked her why not and she said because I would lose more hair by then. How much more hair could I lose in one week to cancel out being qualified for hair treatment? I was told I would pay $2, 700 plus taxes for a 9 month treatment with their hair products, a laser comb, and monthly intensive treatments at their office. I was also told that I would have to use them ongoing or my hair would shed again. I told her about the products I was using and was told they would not help and that theirs will bc of the ingredients. I was told about their satisfaction guarantee and that although I would not get a refund if it didn't work, I could try something else. By the sounds of it, that 'something else' would be a wig.
I was told that I have a week to decide to join, otherwise I would no longer be a candidate and could not. I said that I needed to think it over and would make an appointment in a few days. I was troubled by the pressure to join right then, so I decided to research them online. I am so glad that I have done research on the internet regarding Hair Club because it just saved me thousands of dollars that I can not afford. I am still desperate as a woman, to save my hair and stop the shedding, but I also do not want to get ripped off. Thank you to EVERYONE who posted their bad experiences with Hair Club and I am so sorry that you went through your ordeal. Keep posting out there, you are helping others.

First of all, if they had provided a product that was what they told us
it was going to be I doubt you would see all of these complaints
that we have posted. Secondly, they tell you they have a 3 day window
where you can get your money back if not satisfied,
and then they find ways to worm out of honoring this warranty. This has
also been posted and it's amazing that you have missed all of this,
and if you have one of their wigs why don't you know any of this?
I was told of my options coming in, i chose the wig because it
seemed like a viable option at the time, they have a very slick presentation
that makes their wig look like it really is undetectable, when what you really get is a joke.
At the time (20 years ago) I had just finished college and i couldn't afford surgery,
i have since used that option and it was close to $25, 000 by the time they finished,
but it was well worth it. I wish this forum was in existence 20 years ago, i'm just
trying to offer advice to people to save them from the same mistake i made,
whereas the few people who try to sell people on it all sound like they work
for Hairclub. We have a court system that is clogged with thousands of people suing companies
who didn't provide what they promised in writing in their contracts, it sounds like this is news to you.

First of all, I'm a woman. Secondly - you didn't answer my question. Finally, why should a company refund you money that you signed a contract stating you would pay them? If you read what you sign, you won't have a problem.

I also think that HCM is a big lie from the time you step in the door. I would not recomend it for anyone most of all women. It is a hair piece, wig, ( system, matix, applacation ) they have so many names that you don't know what they are talking about.
There was 2 of us and consulant, and the 2 of us went out the door thinking and agreeing with each other that we we both understood what the procedure was, the 2 of us were on the same page.
After the first couple vists things didn't seem right and I started to ask more question and I was directed from one person to another. Each person handle diffrent parts of the procedure and plans. When I put all this togather it was nothing like we were told in the consultation. I asked for a list of products and pricing which was never given. They said I was recieving a discount how do I know I don't know what the price is to begin with. So many thing are wrong about this place there's not enough room to write it down.

If Sajber is happy with one of their horrible wigs
that you could spot as a fake from the space shuttle
good for him, but if they stood behind their product
they would want to satisfy the unhappy clients
and offer a solution, even half back would be better
then the total rip-off they have now.

I wear a wig from the Hair Club, however I know for men they also offer transplant surgery and Minoxidil based shampoos - why do you act like you only had one option?

I had this "system" years back, it was awful i ended up suing them and i won. It is a digrace, and your right they don't tell you a ton of stuff when you first go in. I learned alot from the experience though. Buyer beware and ask questions!

Hair Club For Men terrible company!

I signed an (over-priced) contract for one year and was told I had 3 days to rescind it. Then the sales consultant, Keith,? said 'we can get you in today for your first "treatment". I said OK, I'll try it. Well, I did ,and when I got home and reread my contract he had scratched out the part about being able to rescind the contract, AFTER I had signed it.!

So beware, Look at the contract before you leave. Do not take a first "treatment" the first visit there.But most of all... the program is NOT worth 3 grand. I could have done the same thing at home, with products from a salon or beauty supply store.
Save your time and money.

I have been a Hair Club customer for five years. When I joined, there was an initial charge for the first application, and then monthly charges for service and hair. The contracts are quite specific and the company is trustworthy. However, there are varying skill levels of stylists and sometimes you receive a less than desired cut and style, as sometimes happens at any barber shop or salon. The process requires some work by the client at home to keep the hair looking good, and Hair Club products like shampoos, conditioners, and sunscreens are specifically designed for the hand made hair application. At the St. Louis Hair Club, the stylists tell me that they service sports stars, airline pilots, investment bankers, corporate people, as well as ordinary working guys like me. The Hair Club system is not cheap, but they stand behind their work, and in five years, I have only had one hair application replaced due to problems. Hair Club is not perfect, but show me a company that is.

This also happened to me here in Atlanta and I was rushed into the 1st treatment on my 1st visit and paperwork brought to me during that treatment which gave me no time to even read what I was signing. Now I have found out they have already collected the full 12 months payments and I have only had that one treatment. I understood I would be paying monthly but that is not what happened. Now I have a $3000 charge on a credit card. What is my recourse for this?

I went in today for the first time, (Houston). My experience seemed like I was getting hustled rather than helped. I asked what the cost would be and they were vague, but then they asked me for my social security number and my drivers licence. Then they went and opened up a credit account for me within the next few minutes without my consent and and asked me to sign for 500 dollars down on a price that was later quoted to be over 2000 dollars for the EXT: EXTREME HAIR THERAPY, which only seems to be a few bottles of shampoo and conditioner, and maybe a few other products. These products seem way over priced. So far it seems like a hustle. I'm thinking of going back to cancel any further business with them.

My wife and I had a terrible experience at hairclub. The chemicals used (citric acid) to remove the glue (adhesive) caused more damage. After a initial 3 1/2 consultation, Care Credit paid Hairclub $500. for services not even rendered. Then when she went, on 12/11/07, they adhered the first cap onto her head. Hair Club For Men Incompetent hairstylists!

I recently became a member of Hair Club for Men and Women due to thinning hair from medication. I signed up for their EXT therapy which consists or special products and vitamins as well as a monthly heat/moisture/massage treatment and a monthly cut, style and color. I was told all this was included in the more than $3000.00 I'd pay for a year of services and products.

They neglected to inform me until after my first visit that I was expected to tip as much as I would pay for the services at a high end salon. I tipped the girl $10.00 my first visit for a a wash and style... which I had to re-do when I left because it was just teased & tangled. On my next visit, I received a notice that I was expected to tip more. They did not have my products there as promised and I had to wait nearly two weeks to get some of them while others were 'forgotten.'

My hair was below my shoulders and blonde. Because of the monoxidil my roots were coming in dark so, I decided to have my hair changed to a light brown. My eyelashes and eyebrows are also blonde so, I made it clear I didn't want to go too dark and look unnatural. I also was very clear with pictures that I didn't want my hair cut above my shoulders and or to have many layers.

The stylist colored my hair an unnatural dark red and chopped all but 2-3 inches of my hair. It is uneven and looks as if a child did it. After the first cut I turned around and asked her how much she took off. She showed me the length of my hair and how much we had agreed to cut... then she chopped off another big chunk! I mentioned it again and she assured me the color would not be that dark when she was finished and that she was not taking off as much as it felt like. She said she was using a razor to 'fluff' my ends and give my hair more body. I walked out of there looking as if I were ready for Halloween. I guess since I didn't tip her what she wanted on my first visit she didn't want to have to deal with me the rest of my contract.

According to my contract I am entitled to the amount of the contract in products if I'm unhappy with the services or vice versa. Hair Club is refusing to honor their contract or acknowledge their incompetent stylist ruined my hair.

My hair was thinning, and I was tired of wearing wigs, so they promised a permanent solution, they have caused true baldnesd, and wig the glued to my head sheads so much I am afraid to comb it most times. I have had at least 4 different people working on my hair. I want to leave but so much of my hair is missing now, I look like a balding middle age man.

Recently I was rushed into an agreement with HC, my fault. Yes, they are not professional stylists, intentionally cut and damage your hair so that you will need to continue their service. They fail to tell about the high cost of maintenance, I am so not satified with the results. It is nothing more than a wig glued to my head which is reinforced with tape, that have to be replaced every two weeks or less. According to them the idea service agreement is a $439 monthly Gold Plan. Don't Do It! When they remove the wig from my head they cut/trimmed away nearly half of my natural hair in error, then had to reorder another wig larger to cover the area they damaged. This is a nightmare! I visit Charlotte NC location...

Hair Club For Men contract violation!

Hair Club offers moisture treatments, products, cuts and styles for people with thinning hair as an alternative to hair replacement if that step is not yet necessary. What they don't tell you is that they try to damage your hair in order to get more money than the original contract amount when you have to have hair replacement due to their incompetence. They also refuse to honor their contracts.

I became a "member" at the end of October 2007. I had 4 visits for "treatments." My products were not received in a timely manner and when some finally did arrive not all of the recommended products I requested were in there. Their hair stylist colored my hair a WAY too dark red. I have light skintones... and was clear about the shade of blonde I wanted. I even showed her a picture of the shoulder length cut I wanted. My hair is now only 2 inches long in the back... shorter than some of the men I work with. Kim obviously had no common sense and can't follow directions or she was just malicious. I believe the goal with the dye being so dark was to force me to lighten (so it didn't look like a Halloween wig for work) and therefore make me a candidate for their hair replacement so they could get even more money.

I would not recommend the Hair Club for my worst enemy. They are schiesters.

Please help, this company still changer me every month, I canceled my membership ( February 8) the location in Salt Lake City refused to help me, $325 is what they charge every month,

I too had an awful experience with the hsn based out of nyc. for 1600 dollars my piece fell apart in two weeks. The "bio-matrix" is nothing but a full lace wig. While I sat there ctying in their office, they (all of the staff and my consultant) were suddenly "unavailable"" they let me leave their primise with a hair piece that most of the hair fell out, to make matters worse one of the staffers lied, to me and told me that I would get a new piece and none of my calls are not being returned...where do I do to complain?

There are many levels of programs they offer. It was explained to me that each higher level gives you more systems per year anywhere from 2 to something crazy like 24 a year. Each level I just learned is a different lace type, some more fragile than others. I get six a year and have been very pleased. I have alway been able to pick the lace I want which is the thinnest most fragile best looking avaliable, its wears fine for me but maybe not for others less careful about its care. Now out of the blue I am told I cannot pick my lace and have to go with a lower quality more durable system because thats part of the 6 systems a year package (Silver I think) and cannot be deviated from. I am extrememly ticked off at this. My local HCM was just recently turned into a Corporate owned store so they tell me those are the rules and no more flexabily is allow even after years of being allow this. I don't understand the issue hear and the lack of flexabilty thats imposed of the customer. I am currently looking elsewhere but up till now have been very pleased although not all offices offer the same quality. The Oakbrook Chicago facility is one bad example of a poorly run operation unless things have changes over the years.

I've been a Hair Club client for almost 2 years now. I'm on the bronze program as well because of the monthly cost which is the same as what William pays each month. I have no complaints other than the price - but all the systems I've received - I've been happy with them.

The staff, for the most part, are wonderful. My stylist is an instructor as well-very knowledgeable.

I've been a Hair Club client for at least 8 years now I believe and have had my fair share of ups & downs with them. I've never heard of a discount card in all my years with them. I currently pay 250 a month for the Bronze program (which is the low end program). Sometimes I can deal with the quality of the wig and sometimes it just looks horrible. Why I'm still there one only can figure.
