Guardsman Leather Eric Church Chair

Broken mechanism - Filed claim in January 2021 and still have not received my part and its 6 months later!
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT BUY ANY GUARDSMAN PROTECTION PLAN!
Unfortunately they are the only ones that a furniture store offers as far as a protection plan goes but they are crooks. They take your $$ and then don't deliver on fixing or resolving any problems. It's like flushing your $$ down the toilet!

They need to be sued and go out of business!

Guardsman Recliner

The system has a glitch when entering the information. I tried 4 different times to enter my claim and it wouldn't accept my pictures at first and then it wouldn't change the date from 1-1-2021 to May 2021. I was told there's nothing they can do besides me leave a voicemail. I need someone to call ASAP and get this handled. We paid for the 5yr warranty.

Guardsman Lift recliner

I bought the extended warranty through Guardsman and sent them a letter to say my chair was broken on March 11, 2021. We had to wait until the end of April for them to send a repairman. The repair man said they would order the parts and mail them to us. But then they issued a letter saying they have to review the claim. Toady is Friday
May 21, 2021 and still my chair sits broken. I am handicapped and need my chair. I have called many times only to be left on hold for an hour. If you buy guardsman furniture insurance it is like not having any. They are worse than terrible to do this to an elderly handicapped woman.

Guardsman Protection plan

I filed a claim with guardsman for the outdoor fire pit I purchased from overstock.com. With the fire pit I purchased a 5 year protection plan from guardsman. The stone/cement on the top of the fire pit is cracking and crumbling. I was told today 4/15/2021 it wasn't covered and to look at section 6 of the agreement "what is covered". It clearly states in section 6.2 it is covered, but yet the claim was denied.
A similar situation last summer when all of the chairs I ordered at the same time as the firepit cracked in the area of the chair back. Again I was told it wasn't covered but yet it simply states in section 6.2 cracking is covered. On 10/15/2020 I was told I could order replacement parts (which I paid for and fixed myself) for $80.

Desired outcome: repair or replace fire pit - refund money for replacement parts

Guardsman Couch stain

After almost 6 months of having to deal with guardians warranty and the hours it takes on hold when you try to call them to discuss the status of your claim I've realized that people need to know not to bother buying the "service protection plan" because when the stain won't come out of your couch and they send you a replacement part the di-lots won't match the other couch cushions or the frame of the couch and that's not covered under the protection plan so you are basically stuck with a couch that is mismatched. In their minds the "issue/claim" has been resolved.

Had anyone had a successful experience with this company ?

Guardsman No warranty service

I purchased a living room set (couch, recliner, entertainment center) in 2017 from Ethan Allen Jacksonville office. I had some damage occur in December 2020 and January 2021. I submitted a claim in February and was denied because it was out of the reporting window.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB for guardsman furniture protection you sold me. Not only do they not respond to the complaint but they don't answer the phone, return messages, and stay on hold for hours. Refusing coverage during the pandemic to an essential healthcare worker because it is out of the time frame is despicable. I didn't have time due to working at Cedars Sinai, a 1000 bed trauma center in downtown Los Angeles, during the peak and also didn't feel comfortable having someone in my home until vaccinated which resulted in delay of reporting. My protection plan provided by Ethan Allen does not have this disclaimer.

Guardsman This company is fraudulent

This company is fraudulent I have a beverage stain and guess what they say they do not cover that. What is the point in buying a furniture warranty when they dont cover anything -- do NOT but a warranty from this company i know I will NEVER make the same mistake twice.

Guardsman Guardsman protection plan coverage

Protection plan on furniture purchased on August 21, 2018 from Nebraska Furniture Mart. It is a 5 year coverage plan. I filed a complaint on March 1, 2021 for a nail polish spill. I did not receive a response, so called on March 16, and they said it was being processed. I still did not hear anything, so called again on March 29, and was told that their plan does not cover nail polish. On their website, they specifically have a picture of spilled nail polish and show coverage for nail polish. However, I was told my specific furniture protection plan didn't cover it. I was not provided with options for protection plans, I was offered one plan, told that it covered all stains and accidental damage. This is a complete bait and switch offer and they should be shut down due to unethical practices.

Desired outcome: Fix or replace my item, as was promised when purchasing the plan.

Guardsman Protection Program Furniture Repair

Purchased their warranty from NFM on furniture and they rejected claim for inaccurate reason.

Purchased a beautiful Pub Table with 4 Stools from Nebraska Furniture Mart (Model: 1475 SKU: [protected]) in August 2017 including a 5 year warranty from Guardsman. Identified an issue with one of the chairs where the seat wood had split. Contacted Guardsman and they sent out a repair specialist that said it was something they could not repair and that Guardsman would have to send a new seat. After months of no response I kept calling Guardsman for a response and when they finally answered my call they put on a rude person who basically told me they were declining my claim. I asked for escalation and now I sit here 30+ days after the last contact with no return call.

I purchased 8 bar stools and none of the other stools have had this issue.

Guardsman Protection plan claim number: 12082532

I purchased a recliner from Ashley Furniture in 2017 along with $149 protection plan. This year, 2020, the reclining mechanism stopped working and won't open. I contacted guardsman and gave them my information, they were not able to find me in their system and I didn't have access to my receipt. So I reached out to Ashley Furniture by phone a number of times and they never answered the phone. This was during COVID 19 and due to a sick family member I did not make trips outdoors for fear of bringing the virus into the home. I finally got a chance for someone to pick up a copy of the receipt from Ashley for me and forwarded it to Guardsman who said that they were denying the claim because I took more than 30 days to forward them the receipt! Nothing has changed with the recliner, it still doesn't open. I didn't damage it more, it just stopped opening. I paid for the protection plan and this claim should be covered and my recliner fixed. Guardsman Replacement parts

May, 2020 - broken recliner switch. Called for Service, they ordered the part, I've been waiting since May 2020 for a replacement switch. I paid $570 for this Service and no one can get me a date for my replacement part. I's been 6 months and nothing yet.

They tell me it's not a 'parts warranty' but a 'protection plan'. They have no parts on inventory. No-one told me this when I bought the 'Plan'. It was misrepresented by the Sales person.

I'm asking for a refund but I get no answer or any help.

Guardsman Furniture policy

My claim was rejected by letter after not so much as an inspection or contact. I have to wonder if this is due to the fact I took out the cover through Harvey's Furniture who are no longer trading.
The policy however is valid for 5 years!
This is just outrageous service. Absolute RIP OFF.
I wish to raise a complaint and follow through to the regulatory body.

Guardsman Did not want to replace tear on sectional cushion

I have the Gold plan. During the pandemic my sectional received a couple stains and a tear on a cushion all from my kids being in the home for so long. When I filed a complaint they denied because of the "Overall" status on my sectional, from pictures, may I add. Worst customer service ever. It was the 1st time I filed a claim in the 4.5 years I have had this sectional. I even said, ok...forget the stains, ill take care of that, just take care of the tear. They would not work with me. What a company...not to mention during this pandemic.

Guardsman bedroom furniture

I had a problem with Furniture bought from Haverty, Haverty salesman told me that all the defects or damages will be covered, I had bought this GUARDSMAN warranty, filed complaint I received following .

Guardsman warranty division

I submitted a claim in April of 2019 for repairs to my couch. I purchased the Guardsman warranty when i purchased the furniture. I submitted all requested paperwork and photos. Its now November and my couch is still not repaired. I am currently on hold, recording this phone call. If I do not get an appointment to have my couch repaired during this phone call, I will be filing suit on Guardsman for Fraud and Theft of Services. I am no longer accepting excuses from this company.

Not sure if my claim was rejected by letter after not so much as an inspection or contact due to the fact I took out the cover through Harvey’s Furniture who are no longer trading.
The policy however is valid for 5 years!
This is just a joke £480 for cover and minor claim rejected without inspection!
Do not touch this insurance its a waste of money.
Notice how Guardsman only include positive reviews on their website!
That is outrageous as is their claims process. Absolute RIP OFF.

Guardsman guardsman customer service

Their service is awful. I have 3 rugs and foolishly purchased guardsman insurance policies on all 3 rugs. I had damage to 1 rug, I called them immediately and submitted a claim with photos. I wait 2 weeks, the service tech comes out and says the stain won't come out he will submit a report and they will replace the rug. I wait another week, I call them and spend one 1 hour on the phone trying to get anyone who knows what is going on. They tell me that they are waiting for the report. I then wait another week and receive an email saying we got your claim and are sending a tech out. Which made no sense since the tech had already come out and said the rug needed to be replaced. I then get a call from the same tech and he says well they are all messed up over there and they are sending me back out so the best way to move it along is for me to come back out and then send another report to them (he had already sent the first report to them). I set up an appointment with him. Then I get another email saying they received a report. I call them again to try to get more info and I get someone named kayla who claims to be a manager. Who then insists that I tell them what plan the claim is under. How can they possibly not know that? I sent in only one claim for one rug and they had already sent a tech out to me on that claim. I have no idea what plan number they assigned to that rug. Why are they asking me to figure out what plan they assigned to that rug? Kayla then, without telling me, puts me on hold (after I waited over 1/2 hour for her to pick up originally) and conveniently hangs up on me. I call back and wait on hold again for as long as I can. I don't have time for this run around. I have called the store where I purchased the rugs and the guardsman plans and have asked them to intervene. I really don't know what to do at this point. Awful customer service

Guardsman repair cover for brown montreal electric recliner

CLARICE gerring 39 meadowcroft bushey wd23 3by. Ref 228203. My chair stopped working and I put in a claim to fix it on 30 April 2019 it is now 19 September 2019 and it still hasn't been fixed I am a disabled pensioner and I rely on my electric chair so to not have it for nearly 5 months has been awful. They have said they are coming twice with the part and given ME a date but haven't turned up without any explanation which is very upsetting. I really hope you can resolve this issue as I am at the end of my feather. Guardsman furniture repair

In October 2018 my 90 year old mother contacted Guardsman online to fix her Lazy Boy chair. They contracted an independent contractor who went to her residence and fixed a broken spring and charged her over $220.
The spring broke and when we contacted them they said they informed her there was only a 90 day warranty which was a lie.
Don't hire them.

Guardsman I am complaining about product and service

I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service and Guardsman Warranty plan. I have had two previous claims that I submitted with pictures and both time I was decline because the items were not covered under the plan. I have a flyer that was provided to me when the purchase was made and both time the items were listed under covered. When I explained that to the representative both times they stated that the flyer was updated and that is no longer covered. I recently placed a new claim for my couch because when you sit down it started to sink in and you can hear a crack. A specialist called me on multiple time to schedule the visit, the first person I spoke with had my name and number correct but when he verified my address he had someone else address, I explaining to him that address was incorrect and he started giving me the other person information. I did not feel comfortable so I told him to give me his corporate number or have a supervisor call me, I then scheduled the appointment with the supervisor and explained why I wanted to speak with him instead of the other person and his only explanation was that they service a lot of people. The person called me to let me know he was going to be a little early from the time frame he had given me, so I told him I was 5 minutes away from home but my son was home and to please wait for me since he was earlier than expected. When I got home he was taking of in his vehicle, I asked my son what he did and he said he just took pictures of the couch and left (no questions asked). I try calling him back on the number he called but he didn't pick up so after a few attempts I left him a voicemail. After a few weeks I get an email that my claim was denied for normal wear and tear. I call the office to get information and the representative was rude and said we took picture and the spring and everything inside is good that's why it's normal wear and tear. I asked how do you know the springs and the inside is good and how he took pictures of the inside of the couch and if I could see the picture. She said no and there is nothing they can do. So now I'm stuck with a couch that will break once someone sits wrong on it.

Guardsman customer service

Guardsman is no more than a con of services that will never be met. Stay a way from this company, even if you know your salesman do not take a guardsman service agreement, it's only an agreement to give away your money. Twice we filed simple claims and both time same run around and form letters. They sound so nice on the phone but never come through with their promises. I don't do reviews but this company is terrible, you've been warned.
