Description:A struggling bar in New Zealand has hired wholesale halloween costumes http://www.wholesale-halloweencostumes.com/ a lingerie-clad waitress to help lift business over the winter months - but the owners say there is nothing sleazy about it. Drifters Halloween Costumes Outlet http://www.bnsds.com/ bar in Nelson, at the top of the South Island, recently launched a lingerie waitress night pitched at hardworking tradies. Owner Bryan Doran said lingerie waitresses were ‘huge’ in Australia and the reception so far had been positive. ‘Last week we got a lot of mechanics, butchers and [people from] around the port. Everyone that was here was polite and courteous,’ he told. The waitress, who works 6 to 8pm on Fridays, is fitted out in a corset, garter belt, short skirt and cowboy-style hat. The bar is on the lookout for a shirtless male waiter, too. RELATED ARTICLES Previous1NextA horse walks into a bar... no, really! Photo captures the...How rude! Share this articleShare Mr Doran’s wife Jo said there was nothing sleazy about it and noted that that some girls in the bars around Nelson wore a lot less. The couple, who owned a bar in Tamworth in New South Wales before moving to New Zealand, said they decided to employ the lingerie waitress when businesses started to slow down after summer. They hoped the scantily-clad waitress would be ‘a new thing’ and help bring people out of their homes. The bar employs a strict no touching policy and anyone caught misbehaving will be given ‘short shrift’, Mr Doran said. The new addition to Nelson's nightlife has received mixed reviews from locals, however. While there are several positive comments on Facebook, not everyone was happy. ‘Nothing sells like human flesh, do you have to stoop this low [sic]. It maybe OK in Australia, but I don't like seeing it here,' one woman said.
