Gregory MacDonald Summertime Parking Abuse Blues Continues

Gregory R MacDonald has not one sense of common courtesy or decency. It will be going on two years since he has allowed anyone especially me access to park in front of my home. Each and everyday (see photos) I have to look at two of the most large and obnoxious trucks on the block. The only satisfaction we get is that he has to spend all of his waking hours worried about moving his trucks back and forth each day or three days according to the Torrance Code to keep that spot. During the 4th of July weekend he decided that he would park his City of Carson Truck beginning on the Thursday before the Monday Holiday. This would mean that he would violate the 72 hour rule if he left it until Monday. As usual, he leaves for days sometimes on the weekend and leaves his truck in front instead of his driveway. So I notified the Torrance Parking Enforcement which promptly came over and left a notice (see photos) and marked his tire. Unfortunately he came home later on Sunday and saw the notice. He promptly pulled his truck into his driveway (of course he moved his other truck in front of our home first) and washed off the markings from Parking Enforcement. Then he put the truck back the next day which was the Holiday. They are well aware of his parking abuse and have acknowledged that they are in the process of filing a complaint on our and the neighborhoods behalf. A couple of weeks ago our other neighbor to the left of us tried to get him to move his truck so that the street sweeper could clean in front of our homes, but he had an excuse for that too. According to Gregory MacDonald, "the street-sweeper does not clean this part of the street because he cannot get to the curb". How ridiculous is that! I talked with the street sweeper and he said the same thing..."I cannot do your corner cause this guy will not move his truck". Our good neighbor said she was amazed how obsessed he is about that parking spot in front of our house. She could not believe his stubbornness and then watched him take a broom and clean the street to try and make up for his stupidity. Gregory R MacDonald obviously has nothing better to do with his time and wants to be chained to his home so that he does not lose his parking spot! What a life...what a human being. Hopefully, someone will buy his home soon! Wishful thinking! If you want to read more about this abuse check out all of the complaints on Gregory MacDonald, Gregory R MacDonald. There are quite a few since this has been going on for two years this month.

Well, can you believe it. After almost 3 years he finally moved out. It took his ex-wife and a great real estate person to motivate him to leave so they could fix up the house so it could actually get sold! They said it was in sad shape and no wonder it never sold. He did nothing to make it presentable for potential buyers. I got a good overview of what a jerk he really is from them. It is like a breath of fresh air not coming home to his piece of crap Ford pickup and that ugly City of Carson truck in front of our home every single day. He will not be missed or mentioned again in my lifetime. What a waste of air and space on this earth I wish his new neighbors luck in dealing with Gregory MacDonald...

Very very easy to take care of. You live in torrance, lots of cash tow truck drivers. Tow it up the street and park your car there. If he says anything you and your neighbors can say "i think you're losing it your truck was never there". One thing i used to do is to use a valve stem T and let the air out of the tires. It does zero harm so is not illegal but is a pain in the ### for the person.

Gregory MacDonald Parking Abuse Continues through the Holidays and Beyond

The abuse goes on and on with Gregory R MacDonald of Torrance. It has been since September of 2009 that he has continued to block my family, friends and myself from parking in front of our home. His actions are just rude and infantile to the point of being laughable yet sad. During the Holidays when he had to leave his City of Carson truck at the corporate yard, he brought in another small silver Ford truck to put in front of our home so that we could not use the space when our relatives were out visiting for the Christmas Season. He just did it again last week again! He has no sense of manners or courtesy and now has his young sons mock us when they see us...unbelievable! What a lesson to teach your children about common courtesy. His latest event will probably get him in trouble. The local high school kids lock their bikes to the light pole that is right in front of our home where he controls the parking space on the street...Well guess what? While he was backing up his City of Carson pick up truck to hurry up and park, he hit one of the bikes that was locked to the pole. He got out, quickly threw it back against the pole. Again, no sense of responsibility or courtesy. We notified the owner and the City of Carson. This is the kind of human being we are living next to. Sure wish someone would buy his house so we don't have to be abused by Gregory any longer. Feel sorry for his next neighbors that will have to put up with this childish and rude behavior.

Wow, I cannot believe he is the same even at work and towards the citizens of Carson. Why do they allow him to abuse his co workers and others? I'm surprised human resources has not been monitoring this. I really feel for you all.

I like your idea...actually I have a couple of friends that are in a Harley Davidson club in Flagstaff. His wife and him want to come down and hang out in California. He knows of my issue as well and it really bugs him when he has visited (with his car).

Thanks for the comment. You are probably right! Every time there is an open house his ugly white City of Carson Truck is parked right in front. He makes no effort to make his home more approachable or welcoming to prospective buyers, not to mention his smug rude demeanor to other people. You'd think that working on behalf of a community he would have more respect for others especially his neighbors. Wishful thinking!

Sorry to hear that...Why can't people just be considerate and treat each other with respect and kindness. I guess everyone has a Gregory MacDonald in their neighborhood that thinks they own the street...

I am actually going to go that route and talk with the City of Carson to try to resolve his inconsiderate actions for over a year. I have to look at this City of Carson vehicle every weekend from Friday to Sunday (he has a furlough day). The City of Torrance says you can park in the same location no more than 72 hours so he knows the law. However, at night because he is lazy, he will switch his City of Carson Truck with his personal truck and park the City of Carson Truck in his drive way so that he does not have to move it in the morning. I have never met anyone like this Gregory MacDonald. Everyone has suggested the destruction ideas, but I would never want to stoop to his level...I think his supervisors and city leaders will have a stronger impact than that anyway. We shall see...

Guess what...the power company this week is fixing the leaning light pole. Can you believe it, Gregory did not even move his truck. They had to work around it and remove the pole without hitting his truck. Today, they poured a new base and had to put plastic and wood panels on his truck to keep from getting cement on it. He is such a child and inconsiderate!

Thanks for the comments. The problem is that he puts his City of Carson truck up against his Ford truck and visa versa each day so that there is no way to cut him off the parking space. He does this religiously each day. The only time he parks in his driveway is when he is not going to drive his Ford truck (see photo). Can you believe this has been going on since September of 2009! Will see what his bosses say at the City this week for his miss use of City property.

I have an idea that may help you with this very frustrateing problem. If he comes home at nearly the same time each day have two friends, coworkers, or someone you just ask to help you with motercycles ride up and park in the spot has he makes the swtich between cars.

I was thinking, , Mabey no one has bought his house because they come around to look and see all the parking in the street goings ons and may think it's the neighbors and not him doing it and get turned off. I was interested in a home not to long ago and went looking at night, when I seen the would be neighbors two cars in drive (one a company vehicle) and one parked in the street with it's butt end sticking in front of part of the drive that would be mine I got turned off and did not pursue it any further.
I feel for you, looks like you have a nice house and just want to live your life without the A hole that wants to take over .
Good luck with the City of Carson.

they do that on my street to people will literally park in front of our drive either closing us in or not letting us park its crazy and makes me so mad so sometimes i just park in front or park right in the middle so other cars cant fit it just pisses me off especially when they park infront of our drive way and then walk down like 2-3 houses ? also theres a fire hydrant to the left of our house and they park in front of that also !

Dang that sucks! They fixed it and even protected his piss of a vehicle instead of making him move it, unreal.
I guess it wasn't in the cards for him to go that way then, lol.
Have you ever thought of throwing some tacs down around there, or small pieces of broken glass? A flat tire on the way to work would brighten his day a little, hehe.

Gregory MacDonald Gregory R. MacDonald

Well, Gregory continues to be rude and infantile with his "I own the street and the front of your house" attitude. I finally got the Torrance Police to stop by and discuss Gregory's abuse each and every day. He said that he was humored by the fact that an adult like Gregory MacDonald could be so immature and petty about parking when he has a great driveway. He used the excuse that his old beat up Ford leaks oil so he cannot park in the driveway...Why not fix it, oh that would be way too easy or maybe use an oil pan. No, he would rather pollute the street and have it run off into the ocean-unbelievable! The officer marked his tire so that he could track the amount of time he leaves his City of Carson truck on the street each weekend. Which by the way, he leaves for over 72 hours! However, not too long after the officer talked with him and left, Gregory MacDonald put his city vehicle in the driveway and washed off the markings. He left the vehicle there long enough so that when they come back to check it was not there...

The only good thing that is coming out of this is that they now have a ultra violet marking that the officer's can put on his tire that he cannot see. They claim they will be able to log in how many times he continues to abuse the parking on the street. Now that he has mocked the police, they are going to be recording his infantile abuse of common courtesy. The officer told me he was full of excuses and rather smug about everything. Hopefully, Gregory will learn that you cannot always be this way...life is short.

We'll that wish may come true with the way Cities are trying to cut costs...Many of the Cities are finally not letting employees take City vehicles home anymore. He is 10.6 miles away from the city (Carson) he works for. He drives there and back everyday except Friday. I have to live with his City issued truck parked in front of our home for three days each weekend! We shall see!

Lucretia, I appreciate your concern. However that is what is great about sites like this. It gives you a place to vent rather than resort to other means. If you read the whole post you will see that I have complained to the Police and the city. Unfortunately, there is little they can do because of their parking rules. He does not want to work it out and is very rude about it. It has been over a year since this issue started and he has only allowed one time for me or any of my friends and family part there. This started 9/20/09. In fact, during the Xmas weekend, he brought in another truck to park there so that he can use his personal truck for the weekend. Thus, again making it so that I or my friends and family can park there...Now you tell me if that is not childish. In common law jurisdictions, slander refers to a malicious, false, and defamatory spoken statement or report. That is why this site has a neighbors section...

Brenda, thank you for your kind advice and words. It's nice to know that there are people out there that are willing to listen to other peoples issues and frustrations, no matter how trivial it may seem. I'm not one to complain about too many things, but this has just gotten to be too much over the year...even my friends and family ask me about it every time they come over and see his truck in front of our house. It has become a running joke with them that they know just irks me.

The funny thing is that I have tried to be nice to him throughout the year. When he had no running water while he was remodeling I offered him use of our bathroom if he needed. When his garage door got jammed and messed up, I offered to help him get it back on track and he refused my help. He was nice talking with me, but he has this hidden side that refuses to get involved on a personal level. I also came to find out from my gardener that he yelled at him when he was cutting my tree. My gardener went over to his house to ask if it would be OK to put a ladder on his side of the fence to control the falling of the branches so to not damage any of his plants or fence...His father was home at the time and said it was OK. However, when Gregory came home and saw him with the ladder he verbally abused him with fowl language. The gardener proceeded to explain that his father had said it was alright. Greg told him that his father was crazy! and to get that @#$@ out of my yard. So as you can see, there is no reasoning with an unreasonable person.

The jerk hole works for the City and can't get his oil leak fixed? How dare he think it's better to oil spot up a city street than his own precious driveway. That cop should have laughed in his face and told him that isn't the way it works bud. The City should make him a streetsweeper and only give him minimum wage, with no more Co. vehicles to take home.
Yep, hopefully Gregorys life is short. What a loser.
