I purchase a card on 5/13/2023. I put $75 on there. I went to use the card and it said declined. I activated it online and couldn’t use it after several tries. I contacted the customer service and they started a case for me, then immediately closed the case without notifying me. I sent them pictures of the card and of the receipt. They lied the entire time and said my card is registered under the name Esmeralda. That is not my name. The card never left my hand and after about 20 conversations with them they still haven’t refunded my money and everybody I talk to says a different thing. They’re definitely scammers.

They refuse to send my check! They lied and never sent it! Ckaim# 954295420343.. I have sent you the proof! Three times! What more do you need? What is missing. You have the complaint# you sent in a email telling me you were mailing the check to me.. This is it… I’m going to small claims court. I have email from you stating The check was Mailed. No more games.

Bought a card and put 100 on it for smaller bills. Got home and tried to activate and it says that something went wrong. Tried ten times and made absolute sure that no numbers were incorrect. Directed me to call the customer service hotline. Tells me to enter card numbers and I get the same issue. Where they loop you telling you to re-enter the card number. No service will be provided unless they accept a "valid" card number. Now I am out 100 dollars and can get no customer service. These guys are terrible. Last time I will ever buy greendot card again.

I purchased a GreenDot Prepaid Debit Card from a Dolkar General store and loaded $200 onto the card when I purchased it. I have been trying to register/activate the card and it keeps telling me the card is invalid or has been blocked. I have tried the app, online and on the phone. When I enter the card information I get the same response every time. I ned access to my money ASAP, and I am not at all happy that I cannot use this card that is supposed to be so easy to use. How is it that my card has been blocked before I even got to use it, and how can I get it unblocked asap?

I purchase 2 cards to use for betting on the Derby, I never could get either card to activate, the mobile app calls for you to be able to respond to an automated text message and my phone fails to do so automatically, I dont know why it fails on all automatic text messages to respond.

I have 40.00 on each card and cannot even activate them.

Please help.

$899 tax refund with Turbo Tax dwindled away to $684 once Green Dot got their filthy hands on it. Beware. Do your own taxes, there are clear walk through tutorials online.

I checked with the IRS and I was refunded the full amount and yet charged these excessive fees. I was not informed that these fees would be attached to the refund or I would have filed by paper. I suggest everyone paper file and print and send off the return yourselves, it will save you a lot of money. This is 25% of the refund, unacceptable. I did not owe anything from the previous year and confirmed with the IRS. It is a scam.

On march 29 2023 my funds were transfered to someone else's account, they locked my account and I filed a dispute. They closed the dispute in my favor and said they would send me a check with the refund and I should receive it in 2 weeks. When it wasn't received they told me to wait and I'll have it the next week. It wasn't here so I called again and they said it was sent so give it 3 more days. I keep calling and they keep telling me it was sent. I called yesterday for the last time and they said it would be here today and they would email me the tracking number, well I got no email and no check. I have got the letter saying that their sending the check of $1037 which is what the was taken out of my account. I only tecieve my social security and widows benefits. I need that money.

On March 17, 2023 a deposit for 600.27 was deposited into account number [protected]. My employer thought I had made this request, but I did not someone was able to access my information and had this money deposited into the above account. I contacted GreenDot customer service was provided with the information that was required to dispute this fraudulent account. My employer submitted the requested letter and as of May 3, 2023 my money has not been returned to me. I made six attempts to have this matter addressed via phone calls today 5/3/23 and every time, someone has hung up on me. I need someone to address this matter today. I filed a dispute on april 16 and was told that I could be eligible for a provisional credit. All of my tax refund was tsken and sent to someones cash app I dispute the charges even sent my dispute letter priority mail jus so that it would make it to the green dot dispute team in ample amount of time. Got a tracking number and mail was delivered on april 24. I was told by a repesentative that I had to have the letter in by the tenth business day (which it was because I paid extra to make sure it was)! But yet somehow green doy is saying they jus received my letter of dipute may 1st. (total bs) and now they are saying im not eligible because the paper wasnt in by the 10th day and it was.. Someone scammed me out of my whole tax refund. And I went through this senseless process seems like for nothing because I have yet to be able to speak with anyone that may b a supervisor. I'm getting taken on a complete run around. It's hard to get help from these unprofessional people. The customer does not matter when it comes to them. Who can wait for 45 days on money that should not have been able to be taken.

I am writing this on the behalf of my mother. Back at the end of March someone manage to get a hold of her online banking info with GreentDot and changed all the account info. then transferred all her Social Security and SSI money out of her account to another account. It's been now a month later and have submitted multiple ID Documents and other Documents verifying her identity and address. We feel like we are chasing our tails to get her money back.

Had a fraudulent charge on a Monday, they cancelled card but not account so on Wednesday someone accessed my account & tool all my money. They told me 10-45 business days to investigate. That's absolutely ridiculous & nobody should have to wait that long. They don't back their customers at all. I've called multiple times & get the same memorized responses from everyone I've talked with. I need my money! I do not recommend this company at all & will be seeking legal action.

I have not received my refund for the 2020 filing year and have tracked down my refund ($522) to your account. These funds were supposed to be sent to me, but for whatever reason you all held them in your account, and I never received a card.

Per the Bureau of Fiscal Services, I am to contact your ACH Department, however, none of the three phone numbers I've called will accept my social security number. The agent provided me with a trace number to locate my unlawfully held funds: 06022022111036170303457, and I would like them sent to me, preferably a check, I do not wish to use your card service. I never received my card. I looked at my transaction history and over 3500 had been took out of my account and put into a cash app. The cash app had my name on it but wasnt me . I even have the letter from the cash app support stating that wasnt my account and it was compromised. My card should of never been compromised. Green dot alloweed them to withdraw money from me. Im a single mom and that was my taxes io just thought they were on hold not used nby someone else. Green dot sent me a letter staying the wouldnt refund my money but its there fault they allowed someone to use my account,.

I have been trying to retrieve my federal refund since 02/23/23 since then a check was mailed from green dot in which I never received. I thought customer service was about problem solving and resolutions I have delt with misinformation and unprofessionalism I see that green dot has resolved 134 complaints hopefully I can be the next. I would like to get this resolved before any further complaints or before I file a civil suit.

Activated card to use. Used once. Tried using again. Unable to use. Declined. There is over $40 left on card. Tried to log onto site. States SS number does not match card number. BS. Tried to call customer service number. States SS number does not match. Cannot get past automated system to speak with someone. Unable to log in to chat with someone. This is completely unacceptable customer service. My money is sitting there and unable to be accessed.

I have had this card for several years. And the purpose of getting it was to not use a personal bank card. I went to purchase tokens for a game and the purchase was declined. There was money on the card. Called CS to inquire and was told card was blocked, why? gambling. This is why I got it! Gentleman informed me that I would be issued a check for the amount in my account and would receive it the following week, did not receive it, followed up with another call, they are saying they cannot issue a check. I can't understand why? They have my money, they how much, why can't they just give me a check. My account has been permanently blocked... I just want my money. I should have been given the opportunity to get the money out and then they could block it permanently.

I called to get my card unlock yeah I was mad But I was talking clearly U know how Ppl speak without raising my voice so they kept asking me to log in I did when I was trying to tell the thing the last 3 transmission she kept speaking as soon as I opened my mouth So I felt provoke Ppl I am sick to my stomach Green dot this is not the 1st time customer service made me raised my voice or hang-up I can't take the late response When I do reach out and report a opps I will advise everyone to jump ship because we are customer and they never make you feel appreciated it's 1:47 I spoke to them 12mi s ago and I will never call them I will be leaving as soon as my cash touchdown I moving and I just didn't need This I am stupid for being Lazy And staying for what 3456788 too many years I don't know to long

Nov 15,2022 they took $116 from my ssi/ssa direct deposit off my roommates card cause they said he was overdrawn/unauthorized transactions. To be investigated they told him. That has nothing to do with them illegally taking the money out of my direct deposit! I had to use his acct because I have a open case filed identity theft/freud & needed a acct immediately for direct deposits. I have been calling walmart,green dot only to get people who dont speak english and rude & dont help! Wrote the main offices & still no reply! Write social security office 3 times including my receipt & explained the illegal crime greendot/walmart did to me. They finally called me & told me that was illegal & ssi could not replace my $. I once again called green dot, spoke with one girl who did not speak english hardly then transferred me to her supervisor who was very rude and did speak english hardly. She did tell me it was on dec 17th supposedly back on card. Well where is it? I never received notice nor does roommate have card. Kept saying was for unauthorized)overdrawn acct! Not my card! My name is not on that card only direct deposit only! She then told me she could not issue me my money stolen out of my acct. Told her again it was illegal crime you pulled. Filing with BBB, FTC & want to file a law suit with my atty for more than you can imagine! By reading all these complaints, see how you are out to scam the american people! You really set me back. On a low monthly income. Rent, bills, food! Shame on you scammers! This should not have happened

Pay as you go Green Dot Visa Load and Go cards. I paid 100.00 cash at my local Bakers and the load fee of 3.95. When I got the card home it didn't work, it said on the site it is unrecognizable (the 16 digit card number) I tried to trouble shoot the problem, the only way you can chat to trouble shoot is if it recognizes that 16 Digit number, I also tried calling the 800 number same thing, so there is no way to resolve the issue. Then it said I had to give either the 16 digit number or my social security number, I am like no way. So the card I paid 100 for is worthless and no way for me to be reimbursed my money. you can't trouble shoot it through the 800 number because it doesn't recognize my 16 digit number, you can't chat because it won't recognize my 16 Digit number, so I can't get my money back the 100.00 and the 3.95 load fee, so this card is absolutely worthless and I can't get my money back and no way to troubleshoot the problem.
