After researching this rescue group, I found information regarding this organization that I feel needed to be shared with the public. The President of Great Dane Rescue Alliance, Brittany Dail, post (via Facebook) that she needs to stop collecting dogs, and describes herself as a hoarder. She also specifically post she has 10 dogs at the time of the posting. (These are copies of FB Postings.

October 5 at 6:09pmMelissa Cain I'm sure she's taking the conservative route. Yes, it's about6ml if blood. easy. Our office is 'capable' if your vet doesn't want to do it. lol

She also comments that she is in the double digits. Ten Great Danes in a small home in a sub division cannot be a good environment for these dogs especially the fosters who already may have issues. The donating public and families considering adopting and or fostering from GDRA need to do their research about the way this rescue came existence and the way they operate at present day. Many of the volunteers and administrators as well as the President of GDRA formed the Great Dane Rescue Alliance only after Mid Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League suspended the NC/SC Chapter for not follwing core MAGDRL policies and procedure. Statement from President MAGRDL (MAGDRL has been a respected and well known rescue since 1979)
This was copied off the MAGDRL FB Dated May 21
May 21
From Mary Fran Cini:

The NC//SC Chapter has been suspended. This decision
was not made lightly. The violations there have been a chronic
problem and many warnings were issued over the past several years.
Those violations included:

1. Failing to evaluate Danes and securing a foster home before
bringing the Dane into MAGDRL.
2. Failing to request BOD approval for Dane expenses over $500.
3. Failing to request BOD approval before bringing in a Dane with
extensive health issues.
4. Abuse and non-compliance with the kenneling policy by boarding
orphans at veterinary offices for days to weeks at a time.
5. Failure and/or inexcusable delay by the North Carolina Chapter in
sending money collected in MAGDRL's name to the treasurer.
Documentation as well postings on the MAGDRL Facebook states the Danes that were fostered by the NC/SC Chapters were removed from NC/SC Chapters and sent to foster homes up North with existing MAGDRL. These posting and the statement from The President of MAGDRL can be found on the MAGDRL FB looking back to the postings May 21, 2012. Great Dane Rescue Alliance was formed in June 2012 with many of the same volunteers and administrators who were suspended on was actually terminated from her position. We feel confident that others will post comments that will help families who may be considering from Great Dane Rescue Alliance and the donating public make an informed decision before having anything to do with this rescue. Also the way this approved GDRA foster home treats this elderly Great Dane by blowing smoke in his face is nothing short of appalling and should be seen by all who may consider rendering their animal to this rescue. You can view this dog under their adoptable Danes on their website, The story about the care and treatment of this elderly Dane is in not quite this story this pictire depicts of his treatment. Postings by the care giver state he has had this foster Dane since August. Randy Hinton - We still have a sweet older male Dane ready for adoption we've fostered since Aug. Let me know if you're interested!

( This is a fecbook posting on the Great Dane Rescue Alliance facebook page, this is just to show documentation that he is an active APPROVED Great Dane Rescue Alliance foster care provider and has been fostering this Elderly Great Dane since August.)

Please do you homework about this so called rescue group before volunteering your time, donating or adopting.

I submitted a application for adoption and received a rude email from Brittany because I had a dog that got pregnant in the past. She went on to deny my application based on that fact. I can understand lots of reasons for denying a request but to write a rude email telling me I'm an irresponsible owner because my dog was not spayed ( we lived on a remote island with limited vet care) was ridiculous and "high and mighty" of her. I would suggest if you are going to adopt, find another rescue.

I am not a bit surprised by this complaint. I am happy to see someone is telling the truth about them and making the public aware of the truth. I am impressed that someone is finally sharing "facts", rather than just making opinionated complaints like they have done to Dane owners who surrendered their pets to the rescue and/or breeders in the past. They should be ashamed of themselves. If the public quickly goes to their FB accounts (before they discover they are being exposed and delete their postings), you will see that the above posts are accurate. I read them myself. Plus, you can do your research and confirm they were indeed suspended from the Mid Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League. They have been caught stealing, deceiving, and cruelty to their "rescues".
I wouldn't give them a dime of my money after learning the truth. Shame on these groups who exploit well earned money on their immoral deceitfulness. Greedy fanatics!

We were looking at the Great Dane Rescue Alliance Facebook page over the weekend and we saw where they had received a grant from Petco for the "Wilson Seizure Dogs"

We saw where there was a posting regarding the to the reference Wilson Seizure dogs and they posted that GDRA should be actually referring to them as the Wilson Settlement Dogs or the Wilson Illegally Seized dogs. The posting stated that anyone could view court documents showing where GDRA actually settled with Williams regarding these dogs by giving them amount larger then Petco grant as well as returning their family pet. Before we could copy the posting it was blocked from viewers you can verify as the Petco grant posting shows 3 comments but only two can be viewed.
