Grand Canyon University [GCU] Rachel Brockway. MKT 315

I have grown to exceeding amounts of frustration due to the lack of teacher influence within discussion posts and assignments. It seems as if she is letting her students just to talk to each other without any input from her whatsoever. I am in week 4 of MKT-315. Up to this point, she inputs once or twice a week to make a superficial announcement. Not only am I frustrated, but have tried to reach out numerous times but ignored in private messaging. I don't understand what the problem is but this is not professional and misuse of my money to this university as well as her position as a professor. I can be reached @ [protected] and my name is Benjamin Rogers.

Grand Canyon University [GCU] Unethical behaviour

Hello GCU customer care, I have evidence to implicate a student in your university with cheating. I am a private tutor based in Kenya Africa and I have been doing all of her papers. I have her Facebook name and a Gmail personal account which we use to transact the academic materials. I have been doing all of her assignments and it has been business for me. She however, opted not to pay and bought time by claiming that she is Covid-19 positive and is not able to pay for my services. I understand that she is using services of my colleagues in the education cheating industry and I would like to expose her so that she is punished for what she does best 'cheating.' Her name is Cindi Lee (as depicted in her original Facebook page) a psychology first year college student. This is the link to her Facebook profile: https://www.facebook.com/Cyn.Lee.78/
Her private Gmail account for such transactions is : [protected]@gmail.com
I have inbox messages of our communication and a private Gmail account that she uses for communication with me while sending assignments. She does these in exchange for completed essays and research papers and in return she pays the stipulated amount of money. I am willing to produce screenshot messages and the academic papers that I offered to her for scrutiny. I look forward to your response. Attached are some papers I did for her and a few screenshots of the communication we usually have. I am willing to provide more of the required details on request. My email is: [protected]@gmail.com

Grand Canyon University [GCU] Unethical handling of my student loans

The financial department seems to care nothing about getting the student the money they need and are qualified for. They keep the money to get as many classes paid for as they can. They do this with no regard, students have living expenses book expenses, and many others that maintain their success. Any other school would not do this.

My classes should be paid for through March 2021, and yet my student loan has not been applied. I argued this preciously and I was told GUC does not receive the entire award, they reive the award as requested, I don't believe this is true. I ask that all my approved student aid funds be credited to my account and disbursed as it should be in good and Godly faith.

Grand Canyon University [GCU] Unethical behavior

I completed the DNP program at GCU with a high GPA in 2/2020 but I still needed to receive the final DPI manuscript stamp from the dean. So GCU did what they are known to do which is making me pay for and extended course and pay for editor services. I question so many times as to how did I complete all my courses with high GPA, finish my final oral defense presentation with excellent grade and my final DPI manuscript is not ready for the dean to graduate? I kept getting the run around and for long time there was no dean and no one knew who the dean was including my chair. So then I tried to file a formal complaint on 5/14/20 with the assistant dean Dr. K. Fetter and it was never acknowledged. I again was given the run around and was treated with insults, bullied, and targeted by the assistant dean Dr. Fetter. Dr. Fetter has made several false statements and when I threated to seek legal counsel she created even more unethical behavior including bulling me even more. Now here I am still waiting for my degree. This school has taken over $79, 000 student loans not including paying out of my pocket for extended course and editing services and it has been 5 months since I was suppose to have my DNP degree that I worked so hard for. I have so may documentation to support my claim of this school. I want me my degree that I have worked so hard for and the money they forced me to pay. Please help!

Grand Canyon University [GCU] Grade appeal

I received a non-passing grade in a course, BIT 415 IT Project, I took from 9/23-11/17/2019. This course includes access to the learning platform, electronic textbook and applications which are required to complete the coursework but were inoperable throughout the course. I had technical issues that were out of my control. I made the issues known to the GCU instructor (Michael Grimsley), GCU Student Services (Julia Babler & Kristyn Miller), Cengage Technical Support, GCU Technical Support and GCU Resolution Team. The instructor stated I would not be penalized for lateness as a result of technical issues but penalties were still applied. It is unfair that GCU's expectation is that I retake the course which would set me back on time, grade, effort, finances and graduation date.
[1/7/2019 - 1/1/2020: Cengage issue ([protected]) affecting access to textbook, assignments, quizzes and exams.
11/3/2019 - 11/22/2019: GCU Technical issue (#2376969) with accessing MS Project in Citrix workspace.
I completed all course assignments despite technical issues which deserve a passing grade. Grade appeal should result in my favor and late penalties removed as technical issues were out of my control.

Grand Canyon University [GCU] stipend check

I've never seen a college that does what gcu does with their students money. Regardless if it's financial aid money or not, this is absolutely crazy! They give you nothing but the run around. My financial aid posted last month and a week later went to "0"... I was told my check was mailed on january 30th... I've yet to receive anything in the mail... Nothing takes over a week and a half regular mail to get somewhere.. After reading all the reviews of 1000's of students having the same issues, I am debating on switching colleges. This is nuts. Not one other university does such things. I think they just want to rob you. Also when I enrolled I was told i'd be getting 2 scholarships and I only received one. What a scam! Just a way for them to pocket more money... I am debating also if a class action lawsuit should happen, i'm sure i'd have plenty of people to join me!

I have had the same issue with Grand Canyon University, it is so said the way of learning from some colleges is to rip off the students. I mention to Grand canyon I did not owe them anything I did not enroll in class and took off a semester. Grand Canyon University must had already pocket the money, they sent me a bill for not signing up for classes I explain to them I have never experience anything like this in my life long of time in school and three degrees from other colleges. The school is a scam and I was warn that this school ripped off students and a patient of mines fault a law suit with them. I tell you what with all the scams going on I am going to push they be investigated, if a class action is persuade I will be the first to sign.

Grand Canyon University [GCU] cheating and plagiarism

I am a master's student and reported that another student, that also works there, was cheating. She copied and pasted all of the answers for her DQ's from Wikipedia and Chegg, a homework generator. She hasn't gotten into trouble and is still in the program. She also made detrimental personal comments about a professor and again received no punishment. GCU reports that they are an ethical, moral, and Christian college, but they are only after your money. Don't go there.

I was informed that my cohort classes would all be in person with the exception of my intro course, it was online. Their online classes are awful, the professors are rude as they aren't in person, the questions and papers are biased and long winded, and you don't learn anything. At the last minute they added a course and changed my last two coarses to online. I and several other students complained, requesting a cohort instead. They not only declined, but lied to me repeatedly that I was the only one complaining. I spoke to other students that had not only take the classes as a cohort, but also I spoke to other students that made formal complaints as well. The student advisors don't care. No one listened to our complaints and they repeatedly lied to us. Don't go here.

Grand Canyon University [GCU] I am a direct descendant

I became pregnant in April 2019 and informed my university immediately of my condition with my student Counselor Shannon Bhavsar. I completed my courses with great grades and during that time made verbal arrangements on a recorded line with my counselor to take a medical leave of absence from Dec 22, 2019 until February 17, 2020. This arrangement showed up under my scheduled classes and I assumed all was clear for me to be ready for time with my baby, I was also reassured by her that this was the case. My counselor failed to send me proper paperwork in order to complete this request despite her knowledge and was negligent in doing her job. She also had time to take a vacation during this period in which she returned and still had not informed me of not completing the agreed leave. She then had me schedule to start class on January 6th 2020, while I had informed her I had been in preterm labor for almost two weeks prior and provided documentation of my increasing medical conditions from my OBGYN. Upon finding out about the mess up with my schedule I called the university and was told that I would have to take a month off from my deferment due to her not doing her job correctly. I also sent in a faxed letter from my Doctor showing that I am due to give labor any day from Dec 27-Jan 14 2020. I am protected by the TItle IX to prevent the above listed charges and was not offered fair treatment.

Grand Canyon University [GCU] teach grant practices

I enrolled in GCU on August of 2015. My enrollment counselor told me that since I was in a program to get my teaching degree I would be automatically enrolled in the teach Grant program that would give me up to $4000 in grant money per year. During my 1st academic year I inquired about the teach grant and my academic counselor told me I don't qualify because I didn't sign up for it. It was then that I explained to her that the enrollment counselor told me it was done automatically. She then explained to me that that particular enrollment counselor had been fired for lying to people to get them to enroll. She had me go in and complete all the documentation necessary and then the University told me it was too late that I didn't qualify for that academic year but I can try for the next. Fast forward to the next academic year I completed my teach grant paperwork in a timely fashion but yet GCU still claimed I didn't qualify and came up with a bunch of excuses. Long story short I never got any of my teach grant any of the years I attended and they screwed me out of thousands of dollars. Scam of a university!

Grand Canyon University [GCU] lying to students

I was contacted by my student councilor and was informed that I could retake a class one time for free. This is a lie. I had to withdraw from school due to family issues only to learn that now I owe GCU almost 3000 dollars. I have tried to get in touch with the councilor only no response. They are always calling until you decide to drop out. Do not ever believe these people. My student ledger states a refund was posted on December 11, 2019 so I tr to get a hold of someone to no avail. Only to receive an email stating that means I owe GCU. whats going on?

Grand Canyon University [GCU] doctor of education program

GCU professors continuously changed the expectations set forth in the dissertation classes. GCU refused to follow their own rules professor communications. The university is holding my transcripts hostage preventing me from attending another university. After 2 dissertation classes, I did not have enough feedback from the chair to graduate at the end of the program thus I would be placed on the continuation path with no feedback as to how many years or how many thousands of dollars I would be expected to pay for no feedback before only possibly graduating. The grades were bogus and the weekly class assignment for all three 8 week dissertation classes was to copy a sentance and paste it into the digital classroom. The program fails to uphold any doctoral integrity. There is no respectable doctoral learning. After 3 chair people, there was zero agreement on the direction of the program. I placed a ticket requesting feedback, tuition reimbursement, and a chairperson who would assist me in graduating and instead received no tuition reimbursement, a chair who lied and said we had met, when he clear could not have proof of such meetings, and a new chair who told me I would need several extension courses. At that point I withdrew from the program, received a bill for the full amount of the class and a refusal to release my grades to the new university.

Grand Canyon University [GCU] financial aid/refund stipend

I am current GCU graduate student and I have had the absolute worst experience dealing with GCU's financial aid dept. Wait, does it even exists because I am constantly getting the run around when I call/email about my financial aid posting to my account. I started courses on 10/24/19 and it is now DECEMBER 2019 and my financial aid STILL HAS NOT POSTED TO MY ACCOUNT. I've even received a letter from the U.S. Dept of Education stating the funds were disbursed to the school so why hasnt my financial aid funds been dispursed to my account. They will definately call you a million times about class participation, attendanc, etc. but WILL NOT CONTACT YOU ABOUT IMPORTANT MATTERS SUCH AS YOUR FINANCIAL AID! And they want to know why I'm not posting in my course...hmmm maybe because I'm too stressed about knowing whether or not my financial will be applied to my student account! It is very stressfull and irritating not knowing or receiving confirmation that your financial aid docs have been received and is processed. Like really, is it too much to ask for students to be informed and notified in a timely matter that their student account and/or financial aid is being processed! I am 99% convinced this is a sign that I should withdraw immediately and attend a different school. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

Grand Canyon University [GCU] refused to work with my during my illness

Like many others here I too had a horrible experience with GCU. I fell ill during my final courses of the program with only 8 credits left, and despite many attempts the school refused to work with me during that time. My adviser was fully unaffected by my pleas for more time to recover from surgery and I was forced to withdraw. Now that I am healthy and able to return the school has "updated the program" and I now need an additional 18 credits (instead of 8) and an additional year, plus the additional thousand of dollars to complete. I was told I could either comply with their demands or forfeit the thousands of dollars and time I have already dedicated to this program. For any organization, much less a faith based one to gouge people in this way is truly disappointing.

Grand Canyon University [GCU] transfer credits

Gcu

When I enrolled in GCU I was as all students do shopping around for the best fit. GCU offered me 56 credits to transfer in 3 years ago. First I was told my last 3 classes and tuition fees to the school had to be paid out of pocket because I've run out of Aid and I was skeptical being I only used a part of the funds to bu a laptop and a camera for my digital film package not to mention extra charges for textbooks and class accessing for online textbooks but I agreed to pay the additional $7000 out of pocket in payments just to finish my degree. I am now 2 classes away and $2000 out of pocket from walking the stage and They have added 3 completely unrelated to my program classes on to my program without even informing me and when I questioned it they came back with " upon there review I was accidentally transferred in to many credits from
Their associate upon enrollment 3 years ago. They then proceeded to send me alternative loan links in email with huge financing percentages resulting in me having to obtain an attorney to assist me with this matter. When I told them I have now have legal counsel and I have them 3 choices:
1. I will take 3 additional classes but they will pay for them and they will change the classes to be relevant to me and my field of study.
2. They will repay financial aid and my out of pocket all the money and I will start over elsewhere before paying them another dime. A very sincere desperate option but one I would prefer over their blackmale
3. Give me my credits they ensured me and allow me to walk the stage as agreed.

There was response from my counselor who I must say must have been the 30th change of counselors since I started replied with " I have sent your email to the legal department."
Since then not a word nothing and now I have to have a lawyer proceed thru this to help me out of this mess as they are jeopardizing my standing with the department of education, my current loan deferment, and my ability to receive my degree through their blackmail.
Attached is an email from enrollment in 2016 and one from last week.

Grand Canyon University [GCU] doctoral program

I have been attending GCU since 2011 and was able to maintain my GPA and degree for the past 8 years. Since I did not get the support I needed during my doctoral degree I had to drop out. My academic adviser was inconsistent with the information she gave regarding instructors, GPA's and academic probation. The instructors who graded my work gave no insight on how to better my grades. There were no resources for the doctoral degree to help me improve my writing skills. I would have benefited from 1-1 contact or someone I could actually talk to who would help guide me through my work. The course work would take days to complete and then I would get a D or F as a grade. I begged my adviser for help and ways to problem solve so I didn't have to drop out. I am extremely disappointment in the doctoral program at GCU.
I am getting a ton of voice calls now that I owe money!
