Goodwill Industries Im medical except

I was refused service because of no mask for covid 19 and they called the police in Fairfield California 94533 and the police told the manager i. Medical except and was still not aloud in so Im now suing them because of this

Goodwill Industries The casher

I went to the Good will in Cheyenne Wyo and the cashier was very rude I went up to pay for my stuff and she said did I call you up very rude then she over charge me and started talking to this guy and forgot to give me my sack I went home and remember I didn't get my sack called the manger and he wont do anything about it was very rude to me so I had to go back to Good Will and she put my sack on the other side of the corner showing off she needs to be fired she is rude. I wont be going back there again there is no reason to over charge and be mean to the people like she was.

Goodwill Industries Extremely rude employee

I attached a copy of the review I posted about this incident.
Courtney from the geneseo il store had my adult daughter in tears after berating her in front of several other customers just for trying on a top over her own clothes in the store. Since the fitting rooms were closed I did not see an issue with this but courtney called my daughter several unsavory names and thuraly embarrassed her. We donate items several times a year to this store but after today I will definitely not be going back to donate or shop. We are business owners and have several employees... This appalling behavior would never even be attempted in our establishment... It should not be tolerated in any establishment!

Goodwill Industries DVD

There's a Goodwill store that is #183 Potranco on 10422 Potranco Rd, San Antonio, TX 78251 that is completely overpricing its DVDs. Before it was $1.99 each, it's now $2.99 on everything. That never happened before. Plus, there is no single Goodwill store anywhere in San Antonio, TX, that sells DVDs for $2.99. You can check every store out and confirm that fact. The Potranco store needs to lower the price of all DVDs now, or it's just making money out of greed.

Goodwill Industries Unclarified mask requirement and aggressive store employee.

Yesterday, October 3rd, I was informed curtly by an aggressive McMinnville store employee that my mask was not acceptable in her opinion. She did not provide any written store policies to back up her claim. She told me I had to leave the store, which I did - she had lost my business with Goodwill forever.
This is equivalent to requiring everyone to wear a shirt (which is established state law), but then additionally requiring that everyone wear a RED shirt, but not telling them until they enter the store and shop for 10 minutes. There is no state specifications for masks, and as it is not a law anyways - this type of behavior from a business is illegal, unethical, and embarrassing to the customer. It's about control, not about health. When this is all over, consumers will remember who tried to control every aspect of their lives and who treated them with kindness and respect. My advice: change your policy of policing customers over masks.

Marietta Roswell rd employee gives one particular guy first choice on all electronics also changes price for him I think hes getting paid to do so spoke to management one told me since the guy doesn't have a job he hangs out there all day buying and selling like that's ok . It's not fair to other consumers I have more to say about this

Goodwill Industries Management

I worked for this company about two years and the more I worked there the worst it became. Am at were promoted over professionals. Their mission is to supply disabled/handicap people with jobs, and help the community. The district I worked in frowned upon people who fell in this category. If you were a hard worker and wanted to advance, forget it. That was reserved for people in the clique. Complaining to upper mana was a waste of time. One would lie and the others would swear to it. They allowed managers who had high volume stores but couldn't turn a profit to constantly manage them, while managers at low volume stores were constantly being reprimanded. Racism was also a huge part of the problem. Those low volume stores were managed primarily by blacks. Latinos were never promoted in the company and were given bottom of the barrel positions. Do not waste your time or donations with this company. Especially the southern region.

Goodwill Industries Store manager

I visited the new location on roswell rd / northridge, on 08/27/2020. I shopped for 1 hour and a half. I had over 30+ items. I wanted everything which was in my cart. Upon trying to check out, there were 4 items with no price sticker. The manager advised I could not buy those items cause would need to be re-processed. I advise cant you determine the price prior to me buying, she stated put items on counter and she will see what she could do, so I proceeded to do so. Out of the 4 items, 2 items would be no problem but the other 2 items she believed when to other items? I advised her that there was nothing in the area for either item to go with and I advised her I would not purchase anything unless I am able to get every item I shopped for. After waiting another 15 minutes I asked her was she gonna check on those items in question? she stated in a nasty tone, that she would when she isnt busy and would call someone up to do that and stated she had already told me that. This individual had no people skills and a nasty, nasty, disposition and she looked at me and talked to me with anger & hostility! nevertheless, reminding you that she only stated what I previosly typed and walked herself into a office behind a closed door, for another 10 minutes before coming back out. Plain out - r u d e! I did everything in my power to control myself so the police would not be called during my shopping spree@ the goodwill. So, I have now been in the store over 2 hours. When she came back out, she called a young man to the front and stated what she thought and for him to go check and let her know. He disappeared in the warehouse and I waited patiently and she returned to that front office, shutting door. Neither of them returned to the floor, after like a idiot, I waited another 30 minutes and I did not purchase any items in my cart and was treated poorly and unprofessional by this woman! this is goodwill, not saks fifth avenue! she needs to be replaced and find someone whom knows how to speak to customers and your employees. Just because she is a big black woman with facial expressions like a thug coming straight out of compton! she is highly aware, I am sure, you would have to be, that people are intimidated by her or will do what she states and never ask questions. I have shopped many other days at this location and never had to deal with her to check me out. She talks to your employees, which I remind you that are young adults or elderly people and she talks to them the same way for I have seen how she talks to them and over heard the tones. This woman is a bully! goodwill will loose customers and employees cause of your management choice for this location. She is not ready or she hates her job and it shows. I wasted my valuable time on straight ignorance instead professionalism. I know the items are no longer there from yesterday or I might could find a few of them but I feel strongly, this woman shows predujice through her actions and expressions and tone of voice, on how she speaks to other natonalitys and I refuseto go back until someone tells me or notifys me about yhis complaint.

A total of 5 hours of wasting my time now cause I am
having to take time out for filiing this complaint.

Goodwill Industries Discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination

Approximately around July 15 2020
I was at work and an emergency came up after a chip gotten stuck into my gums after my tooth broken in half with my gums bleeding and tooth in holding it in my hand in our break room I told the supervisor I was going to be out and that I needed to leave for the emergency and was going to be out that following work week because of the corona flu pandemic most days at the hospital procedures
Are that phones interviews are held before you can arrive into the offices visits due to doctor appointments and availability and due to this phone interviews were how they would manage who wold be seen on these basis you be seen by a doctor over the phone visits and appointments would be set three weeks to a month unless they decide that your going to have a surgery which I was going to have. While I was out off work because of medical reasons my Supervisors supervisor call me told me not to show up to work after he had asked me was I at work that day and I said no without explaining my reasonings for being out at the time because it was reported to the Supervisor already prior to me leaving off work the prior days to this incident the calling Supervisor Richard Scott called back explaining not gonna that because that day I was off I was being terminated. Which I told him that you order me not to come after the call he emailed me a termination letter. With that the complaints were from all worker who didn't like me and also I was sent to other sites because I was being watch closely by other staff that did not like me worked no with them so they made up reason to have me moved from my original work site not one worker on the floor I worked at express that I was a good worker because they wanted me out of the position because they didn't like me there selves and one Supervisors written me up after I wasn't fully awake at 7am in the morning coming into work I hadn't had my morning coffee so I looked sleepy but the lady had me sent home because of this and I wasn't sleeping I was standing listen to every word she said that morning but she had me sent home but these were the reasoning that they also said I had been terminated for but for they never handed me appeal forms or grievance to appeal there action to have me terminated there discrimination and harassment was on the consistent basis until they made the move to remove me a fair reasons

It seems this is some that occurs at all the Goodwills. I would love to be able to contact someone who can "clean house" at these stores and start anew. That seems to be the only way for real change to occur.

Goodwill Industries Unprofessional bad managers

Goodwill treats her employees like force factory workers back in the 1900s used to have to work in the heat and dirtiness they give their employees huge quotas to meet with huge dollars amounts daily and if the employees are going fast enough they will scream at you across the room call you out by your name and embarrass you in front of all your coworkers they only pay you minimum wage they only give a few pennies of a raise every two years you're not allowed to shop in your own store and if you're not doing good enough they make you work for your breaks they push and push and push you to get the product sorted it out on the floor if you do something wrong they will Yellit you in front of everyone and said taking you into the office and talking to you privately 101 you can never get your monthly bonuses because the quota requirements are set so high you're not allowed to call off work for the first 90 days of employment or they will fire you. They have favorites within their employees and they show it it's like they have a competition the manager and assistant manager who can be the meanest to their employees throughout the day. If you are caught with your phone on you or talking on the phone you'll get an instant write up but yet they walk around texting and taking personal calls all day.

Goodwill Industries Employee's rudeness

I was confronted by a member of the staff in Auburn California asking me questions like was I picking something up and honestly, I was thinking about answering his questions because to me they were odd. He said if I have a drop off I can get in line behind all of those people. The line began in a different spot than it always had so I didn't know. There were no signs indicating where to go. But the more I thought about my conversation with this man, I realized how very rude he was being for absolutely no reason. In times like these, especially waiting well over a half hour as I have done recently to drop off items, the last thing you need is a person condescending you and actually openly berating you like a playground bully just because...it makes him feel better? Please educate your staff better. He's lucky I wasn't a guy his size with a chip on my shoulder from waiting in line for 30 or more minutes.

Goodwill Industries Cash transaction

I shopped at the goodwill in Hilliard Ohio and my total sale was 11.03. She asked me if I wanted to round up. I said no, not today. (I shop often and usually DO round up). I gave her $12 in cash. She then reached into a tin on the counter and took out .3 to use so I wouldn't get .97 back in change. The phone rang, she answered it and proceeded to put my $12 in her cash drawer. I told her she owed me a dollar back but she refused saying I only gave her $11. Then she totally ignored me as she talked on the phone. I'm sure her drawer was $1 over but she probably put it in her own pocket. It's not about the $1 but she is not ethical. This was on 5-15-20 at approximately 9:45-10am or so. $11.03 cash transaction. Hilliard Ohio. I also tried to call corporate and got the run around from a male switchboard operator. He made comments "we just reopened and I thought everything was done by card". He refused to transfer my call to an administrator. Very frustrating. I also tried calling again and left a message in the HR line but no one called me back.

Goodwill Industries Nasty and full of germs

Goodwill Laundry & Linen Services is nasty and full of germs, because when you work in the dirty laundry part, You have to touch dirty laundry that has blood, s**t, poop, urine and vomit! Goodwill Laundry can't keep nobody in that department, because black, white, hispanic, co-workers and disabled co-workers be quitting when they work in the dirty laundry department! Laundry supervisors and Laundry managers be firing co-workers because of their work performance and misconduct. When I worked in Goodwill Laundry, They had me working in the dirty laundry part busting open plastic bags full of dirty laundry covered with blood, s**t, poop, urine and vomit stains until I quit! I told my job coach Lorie Pukenis that I don't wanna work in Goodwill Laundry & Linen Services no more, because It is nasty and It's full of germs! I rather have a job and prefer to work somewhere else where it is not nasty and full of germs! Find a job somewhere else.Do not work at Goodwill Laundry and Linen Services, Stay away from Goodwill Laundry & Linen Services, because they are not worth working for in the future!

Martin, Katrina Schultz, Monica Lim was hired until new laundry managers Orangetta Kelly, Jennifer Evancy, Chandra Henderson and Theresa Buford came and started ruining and tarnishing our lives by changing the rules, putting stress on co-workers, making co-workers uncomfortable, Firing good and disabled co-workers, Putting disabled co-workers in the factory department where the handicapped people work at where you don't get paid a lot of money. They will lie and make false accusations on youIn 2015 Theresa Buford started laying off Asian, Chinese, Filipuno, Hmong co-workers. Goodwill Laundry & Linen Services don't keep Blacks, Whites, Latinos, Native American Indians and Cambodians in that department! Goodwill Laundry and Linen Services don't shut down, They open on weekends and holidays. They don't care about Black, White, Hispanic, Native American disabled co-workers! If you look for a job do not apply at Goodwill Laundry & Linen Services, because they will do you wrong and They will lie and They will slander you after you quit or After you get fired! Stay away from Goodwill Laundry in the future, because they ain't worth working for in the future!

Goodwill Industries wrongful termination

I worked at the Searcy AR store for 3 years. I was told i was going to be let go because of my attendance. I had missed work but, had doctors note for thoses days. Was told "in the handbook it doesn't matter". I worked in textiles and hung my 700 per day and truck and donor door, while others that worked in textiles never got 700 per day. While i was let go because of my attendance, you have a manager who goes out in the parking lot to her vehicle and takes a shot of moonshine that she brought and goes back to work. A manager that has me hang a sweater on my rack so she could buy it for a coworkers kid. We had a safty manager let me say that again a SAFTY MANAGER they left the front door unlocked all night and was not even reported. Managment who "fudge" the quta numbers so it looks like we hung 1462 per day. I am not a disguntled ex employee at all. I have freinds that still work there and this is not fair or right to be treated like this. Managment does not care about the employees. I know nothing will ever been done to managment because it like they are above us low on the totem pole. I am thankful I am out of there and have a wonderful job that I like going to and the managment treats you like family. Thank you for your time and have a good day.

I have A youtube channel so I buy a lot of jewerly and clothes for my channel I would probably say I have shopped at this goodwill for about 3 years now and I am usually the one that buys most of there bagged jewerly, have bought at least 2, 000.00 of just jewerly not including clothes etc. I have become a victim of extreme harassment and embarrassment at least 5 different times at this store . On February 7th 2020 was the last straw . First off I FINALLY REALIZED THAT THIS STORE IS EXTERMELY RACIST. I am white and needless to say they hATE WHITES, they are all iranian and black the only white person i have seen work there is a security guard who is contracted out and they make hime show people jewerly and boss him around and tell him to do all kinds of things for them that have nothing tpo do with his job. every single time I check out with this one iranian checker she always does [censored]ty things likje make sure and ask me if i want the senior discount when im 43 and then she'll say of im sorry its not senior day really loud. IAM LIKE WTF.. I just pass it off but the lasyt 3 times have been outright rude and unethical. She rang up everything and i was 1 penny short she looks at me and i said i guess i have to run out to my car really quick, i wasnt more than 1 minute, and when i went to hand her the penny she said sorry you have to get to the back of the line, i am shocked as i look at at least 6 people in line I ASKED FOR THE MANAGER which this manager knows how much i spend in the store and automacticly took me over to the next cash register and rung me up right away and apologized for the cashiers actions. Then this new manager that works sometimes is totally racist against white people she knows that i buy most of the jewerly and she took all the jewerly out of the case when i was just about to buy some and repriced everything twice the amount that they have always been for 2 1/2 years i said that isnt fair and her reply was to bad if you don't want to pay it then so sorry for you, . I coulkdnt not believe it. Tahen this last time was an outrage the same employee and the same rude [censored] manager where closing the store it was 5 minutes before closing and I walked up to cashier and layed my stuff on counter and told her I wanted the bag of jewelry too, it was at the other case I walked over there thinking she was following me and when I turned around she was ringing someone else up I walked over to her and said what are you doing she pointed to the back of the line I said what are you tal;king about I call ed the managfewr over and the manager said of sorry its passed 8:00 its 8:03 please feel out the paperwork so you can pick up your items tomorrow since our store is now closed . what a joke I said no way I was here bewfore 8:00 to buy my things and she called the police and said I was refusing to leave. I want to know who can help me with these awful people who are getting away with totally harassing customers I want to know how I sue them for there toital uncalled behavior

Goodwill Industries re: policy on employing the disabled

It is really frustrating to have a good friend who suffers a disability.
It's even more frustrating when that person goes to an interview with your organization, is promised employment and then they change their mind because of what? I don't know to be exact other than an industry whose primary focus is supposed to be helping the disabled and downtrodden feel like functional members of society shuns one after getting their hope so high and then shoot them down the way they did shouldn't be allowed to reap all those federal benefits if they aren't going to do what they promise to do. Especially when it's dealing with the employment of a disabled person.
It's not like this person has employment opportunities lined up. This was pretty much his only opportunity to feel normal and was doing great when they hired him. Can you imagine the depressive pitfall of a struggling person with disabilities when they get told by their case manager at dds that they don't want to hire him anymore because he may have to excuse himself to the bathroom to change an adult pad because of incontinence?
For shame!
I'm half tempted to put this out to the local news and see how they feel about it.
