i have 2 godaddy accounts and 3 hosted domains . 1st domain is on deluxe package 2nd one is on economy and third one is wordpress managed hosing.
every thing was going fine but from few days all websites loading time is reaching up to 40 seconds, even my deluxe hosting domain is taking 19 sec to load. i checked there were some issues in website which i get them resolved but now again when i tested the main problem is server response time which is the main issue i am facing.
please get it resolved or i have to move my domain.

Worst customer service for web builder.
Started a trial in mid-august 2018. I have been running a business for over 35 years. I invested time and time and time getting the web build online store populated and information and layout. When it came to a glitch with Canadian taxes... Several care reps tried to help and then all the valuable info on my site started being deleted... All the updates were gone the following day - every time I call in for help I am put on hold. I spent 5 hours with a supervisor and nothing came of it. Now today I have a whole day of restore missing which contained all the new updated info again... My point is the customer service sucks. I have thousands of dollars worth of domains that I am pulling out of go daddy. And every chance I get I will no longer recommend. Each and every person that has 'helped me with the web builder are liers and malicious. Even worse - you can't get a hold of a complaints department. I hear - you send emails to [protected]@godaddy.com

I have started my website one month ago. And invested a lot in that efforts as well as my time. But at the date of 29 August, something went wrong or server failure 80-90% of my site data was deleted. When I called GoDaddy team support I told them about my problem and ask to provide the data before 29 August. They didn't provide me any date when they had taken the last backup of my site but especially request them to provide me the data before 29 Aug but what they did, they had charged 5000 INR to me to provide the backup without mentioning a date. And they created the data at the same time and send to me on my server. When I checked the backup file. What I'm seeing that they have generated the same the data which I have already on my website after deleting. This is totally a way of confusing the customers that we can't provide the date and what they do, they generate the same data and provide the customers after charging from them. When customer claim for the right data, they say that we don't have any data for past date. When I asked them to refund my money they ignoring that, it is against our refund policy.

Neither I have data nor they are refunding. It happened due to server failure of Godaddy and secondly not providing me any solution and thirdly charging from me for the same problem. This is complete [censored]. Godaddy is a reputed brand when they can't provide any solution or don't have any refund policy they should not have any rights to charge from the customers.

The Server failure problems occurred many times with the customers I have read online over their community section. They have put their queries over there.

Godaddy didn't provide any official email address to the complaints. Why don't they provide any email ID when this kind of issues Customers are facing? I'm very disappointed with the godaddy service. If anybody can help me out for the same please let me know. I don't need money I need data for my website. I have invested a lot in this.

After waiting 20 minutes for a support member I was introduced to the most rude customer support person I have ever en counted.

I have been a godaddy customer for over 10 years (476714)

I asked for a webhosting relocation from a previous hosting provider to go daddy. I uploaded the backup to the webhosting account for them to restore. I have done this 2 other times with godaddy with no problems but this absolute idiot said he wont do it for me.

I told him that Ive never had a problem with them restoring a website from another host (obviously they should be happy because im moving from a previous host). He said he didnt care, He was disputing that godaddy does not support CPanel it only supports the infrastructure of hosting (Completely doesnt make sense) everything I said he was completely negative towards and so rude. I was wrong in every occasion with him.

I didnt get his name but i really hope someone listens to the recording and see's what a rude idiot he is. He needs to learn the fundamentals of business. "Customers are always Correct" and that he shouldnt put me down.

If every customer service rep of godaddys was like him i would 100% be not a customer anymore.

Learn to get customer support godaddy! seriously.. getting rid of your email system (even no complaints email system) is ridiculous! some people want things in writing.

I have paid to avail godaddy web designing services. Without my permission the team has made a Shabby wesite and published the same with false content and the services which are not provided by us which has affected our reputation adversely. They are disconnecting my callers or not attending our calls. They are not providing any complaint number nor escalating issue from the starting agent level.

I had purchased a personal (basic) website builder initially from Godaddy online. Later I enquired over the phone and spoke with Mr Hidayatullah about upgrading it to Business plus website builder. He offered me 50% discount on original price and also informed me that there would be 300 odd features more than available in personal (basic) website builder.

When I asked him to specify some of them, he mentioned SSL certificate, E-commerce etc, which I wanted to include in my website. So I went ahead and purchased it. Later I discovered that these features are not included in the product as it is an upgraded product and not directly purchased.

I consider this as misleading the customer for selling your product.

I request the board to do justice to me.

Horrible customer service from GoDaddy. I was told I needed to buy their microsoft email if I wanted a working email with the domain name. And so I purchased 3 years for $162. I later found out my hosting company provides emails. So I contacted GoDadd and asked to cancel the email service. They cancelled my email service and then told me they would not give me a REFUND. They just ripped me off! Stole money right out of my hand.

South Africans, beware of Godaddy.com - Read below and decide for yourself.

Exactly 12 days ago today, I made the biggest mistake of clicking on a button in my GoDaddy panel telling me that my resources are low and I need to upgrade my hosting. Seems simple right? You click on upgrade with no warning or terms and condition. Easy to assume they will simply increase server resources? Wrong! This is where my nightmare started.

The next morning, all my sites were down. We have 25 staff members that 100% rely on our websites for leads and communication. We are an online based business. I immediately phoned them and said I have to wait up to 72 hours for them to just look into it... I waited, nothing. I phoned again and was told nobody has attended to the issue and they don't know what's wrong. I have to wait another 48 - 72 hours. I begged them to help me as our company cannot physically afford the downtime. I have since spent close to 20 hours on the phone with them to try and get my sites back up. NOTHING!

It's now literally 12 days of downtime and there is no end in sight. Basically what happned was when they migrated the hosting, the databases got lost. They do not keep backups unless you pay a premium. I was even told I have to pay for advanced technical support if I want the issue fixed. Seems fair? They broke my sites without warning, they are unable to fix them but I have to pay and constantly phone them to follow up.

Trust me, if something goes wrong, GoDaddy does not care about you. They make more than enough money by forcing you to upgrade for now reason and adding normal services at an additional cost. Our business lost so much money due to this that I expect us to recover in about 3 - 4 months. Our staff works on commission and have families to feed. I explained this to probably 10 GoDaddy tech support agents. They simply do not care.

If you have sites that rely on up time, avoid GoDaddy like the plague. They simply do not have the competence to fix serious issues they caused. If it was something I could fix I would. I have since moved away as my sites are at least back up now. GoDaddy has simply waited for the issue to go away. Yet they still charged me for this month even though I was not able to use their service.

South Africans, AVOID THIS USELESS COMPANY!

Due to the abysmal service I received from Godady, instead of utilizing any of the purchased package, most notably the Domain Name and the Email account, I immediately requested that everything be transferred back to 1and1 my previous provider.

We are approaching 2 weeks since I contacted Godady requesting that the entire package be canceled, the domain name be sent back to 1and1 and a full refund be returned. I have been given numerous conflicting statements that I thought it imperative to record the calls.

On Friday July, 20, 2018, I spent over 2 hours of my day going back and forth with Godady. I conversed with Bobby who initially advised me that it would take 2-5 mins to obtain the codes to transfer the domain name back to 1and1. He then advised me that it would 30 mins. I requested a manager and was transferred to Ryan.

Ryan advised me that Bobby was doing a great thing for me by downloading the codes to transfer the domain name back to 1and1. He confirmed that in order for the codes to be downloaded, I must first set-up an email account (a regular gmail/yahoo), go back into my Godady account and verify the Domain name transfer to Godady. I did not want to do this since the whole purpose of my call was to immediately initiate the transfer of the domain name back to 1and1. Ryan advised me that this was the only way to get the codes.

In addition, he stated further that Godady does not usually permit a transfer before the 60 day period, but he would make an EXCEPTION and allow the change so the domain name would be transferred to 1and1.

Further, he instructed me to call Godady back once I completed the aforementioned instructions to obtain the transfer codes that would be downloaded and given to permit the transfer back to 1and1.

I verified the aforementioned account via email and called back to obtain the codes. After spending an additional 1 hour and 6 mins on the phone, to date, I have still not received my transfer codes and instead, Godady blocked the transfer to 1and1. This block did not occur until after I verified the Domain transfer via my gmail account. Ryan intentionally gave me false and misleading information.

According to available data 'A domain authorization code (also referred to as an Auth Code or an EPP Code) provides an extra level of security for the domain name registration. This code is unique to each domain name and is assigned by the registrar at the time of registration.'

In an to attempt to activate my email account and resolve this matter,
I paid 1and1 and received the following response "the email address has automatically being renamed because the original domain name is no longer available...".

Based upon the aforementioned information, Godady is in possession of the transfer codes that they are intentionally withholding from me and are intentionally providing false and inaccurate information.

In addition, I contacted my credit card company and was advised that Godady charged my credit card before the Domain name transfer was complete.

I am unable to conduct any business because I cannot send or receive emails, causing a loss of revenue to my company.

I want the transfer codes for the Domain name. I want the Domain name released so it can be immediately transferred back to 1and1, I want a full refund and I want payment for the loss of businesss.

They lost 1 month of daily work, sent 2 emails to the "supposed manager" (email: [protected]@godaddy.com) and no reply.
They lost 1 month of my work as the backup they were supposedly do daily, didn't worked.
My quote of capacity was at 95% and I didn't received any email or alert regarding this, making the backup of the website to fail.
GoDaddy, and this was said by their tech department on the phone), he actually said it was godaddy's fault as they should had sent an email, but he (the person on the phone) actually saw that that email never was delivered. So it was Godaddy's fault.

They don't have emails, the chat people is copy paste and they don't know what they are doing - only the copy paste, which drives me crazy.

I am going to take this to court and change to another hosting company.

I bought a web domain for Go Daddy 2 weeks ago. I wanted it to forward traffic to an existing site I'd created.

I bought the domain but had difficult setting it up, so called the USA from Scotland (at my expense) on 4 occasions to get some help. Each time I was on hold on average for over 30 minutes, on the final attempt I held on till 40 minutes and someone said he would fix the problem.

Sadly nothing was fixed and my domain remained configured wrongly for a further week. I called again and was told there was a problem but they'd correct this by re-configuring it. Again this failed to happen and my domain still doesn't forward. I have tried this on 3 browsers, a work PC, iPad and mobile phones.
I went into the GoDaddy ‘web chat', where I was 52nd in the queue, but I persisted. The guy tried to help but again he couldn't get my domain to forward.
I ended up paying a different host to transfer my domain out. GoDaddy's failure to help me and poor support was u acceptably. There was no apology or following up to check what they did had actually worked. I contacted them on Twitter but was told to phone up. There is no email facility
Phoning has meant I have lost all my monthly phone minutes, and has spoilt many an evening sitting on hold
I ended up paying again for the transfer out
have lost money and business at no fault of mine.
I feel I'm entitled to a refund but they are basically hopeless and the people on phone/chat don't follow through
I just want my money back.

Extremely bad service provided by godaddy, there is no client satisfaction for any of their services. Customer service and technical help is not helpful at all. I had asked for refund for cancelling the webhosting, their customer support team said cheq of refund wd be reaching at your home in 7 days but they have still not refunded my refund amount after 2 weeks also. Pathetic service of webhosting and i do not recommend anyone to take it from them. Its frustating to see no resolution from Godaddy. Don't go on name its not worth taking godaddy services for webhosting at all.

I was charged a renewal fee on a domain I purchased. Youthwork.co.nz. I was not given any notification that my card would be billed. I only received a your card has been charged email.

I was not happy so I called customer service and talked to Brandon at 1.30pm NZT on the 10 July. He explained to me that with NZ domains, they could not refund them because GoDaddy pays for them upfront. He also explained to me that .com domains have no less then 5 notifications in advance for autorenewals before a credit card is charged but for some reason, I did not get a single email. Brandon said that it was a system error which "can happen sometimes and it sucks".

I told him that I would have no choice but to report fraudlant charges made to my credit card to my bank which Brandon advised me against. He explained that because they already had my payment details, it woudn't be considered fraud and the bank would then charge me a $50 fee for wasting their time.

I then got him to cancel my domain as well as all of my credit card details. I am sure I am not the first person to have this problem and definitely won't be the last.

Fix this situation so that it doesn't happen to other people.

The complaint here is regarding their $150 fee to restore your website/hosting.

This happened last week (June 2018). I want to fully acknowledge my error in this situation. I canceled my Wordpress hosting plan without realizing this would erase my website and I would no longer have access to it. Dumb move.

Here are the things I'm dissatisfied with:

1) The messaging/warning around canceling your hosting.

and most importantly
2) The outrageous fee to restore
3) How the entire process is handled by customer service

1) There are two ways to cancel your hosting. The way in which I chose reads,

"Are you sure you want to cancel your hosting (recurring) plan? This permanently removes your plan and the access to it."

Again, DUMB MOVE, but I imagine this has happened to a number of people that don't know exactly what they're doing. There is no mention that the actual Wordpress website is irretrievable after this. If they were concerned about people doing this unknowingly, they could easily include language around the $150 fee and the fact your website will be gone. Not my reason for writing this, however...

2) I called a few days after I canceled to notify them of my mistake. I was told it's $150 fee to restore the website. All the representatives are ready to tell you that it's a laborious process to restore the site and that's what they're charged by the people doing the work.

Any website designer will tell you it's NOT difficult to restore, many companies do it for free, and they're basically holding your website hostage.

3) On the first call my web designer called in. They told her about the $150 fee and then said that if she purchased 3 years of hosting they would waive the fee. She wouldn't do it on my behalf. When I called in, I was offered nothing. I asked to speak to a manager. He said they have never waived the fee.

So I did some research online... long story short, this is their thing. Same scenario when someone's account doesn't automatically renew (for whatever reason) and they lose their hosting. Knowing that they've waived the fee before, I call back in...

Every representative will repeatedly tell you a manager won't do anything different, and there's no point in speaking with them. K, thanks, can I speak with one? She put me on hold then came back and said they were busy. They would call me in 24 hours. Never called after 48 hours. I called back, was told managers were in a meeting after waiting on hold, told me to call later. I called back the next day, THIS representative said they have reduced the fee to $80 before, is this something I would like to see if she could do for me? No, I need to speak to a manager. Got a manager on hold who told me there are all different situations but he could not waive the fee in this one. I told him I've been told multiple different things from different people. He held out until I disclosed that the girl who just transferred me said she could reduce it to $80. He went to check what she said exactly (she said she would "check on it"), but in the interest of saving time, he said he would reduce the fee in half.

I do care about the money, but I am most concerned with the obviously inflated fee they use to make money when your hosting account gets canceled. They have set up a resistant wall of customer service representatives and scripts, but if you spend too much of their time on the phone they might eventually cave and reduce the price. I don't see anything wrong if they were honest about the time/labor involved and charged an appropriate fee.

For these reasons, I wouldn't ever do business with this company or recommend them again.

Today May 30 2018, I have reached GoDaddy customer service chat. I just wanted to finish a domain tranfer procedure that I haven't been able to finish since the
authorization code didn't work. At the beggining of the chat, GoDaddy customer service representative asked for a PIN, but During the two-step verification
security procedure to get that PIN I did not receive any text message with the code. Even though I proved that I was the owner of the account, they denied me
support.

So I recently have needed to buy a domain for work. I did this through Godaddy because it sounded easy. Unfortunately, issues first arose merely two days in, when I was sent an email asking for me to send a copy of my passport. I am hesitant to send my passport details (let alone a scanned copy!) to anyone. I tried to send a response highlighting this issue, to no avail. My account then locked me out.

I have therefore attempted to register to 123reg, and transfer the domain. At this point I realised I needed access to an Auth Code, so I attempted to get that organised. I tried and tried again to log in to my account. Nothing. I then followed up with using my account number, and stated that I forgot my password. They apparently have sent an email to assist to the other account I have (the same account they have sent 7 emails to mind!)

However, somehow in this debauched nightmare that has been my forey into Godaddy, this email has not arrived. So now, I have no auth code, no domain, several very important emails (I think, as I have no way of knowing) stuck in the nowhereland, and now a thouroughly blocked account.

I request a full refund, information as to how the final email was unable to find the same way as the others, and that for future sufferers, an email service to complain to if needs be! How one can be expected to wait 1h30 on hold I have no idea!

Please oh please, call me or email as soon as possible!

The Company debited by account of $87.92 on my debit card, after i have given them noticed of cancellation of their services. My payment to them for the passed 2 years was still valid till 07/06/2018 I can not see any reason why they should billed me knowing that i have discontinue their services for a website domain that has not been working and of which i personally asked them that every products to be cancelled.

I called the organisation on the 20/03/2018 and have asked that all products be cancelled and the website be deleted and all products have been duly cancelled except the domain name and protection registration because it was not due until the 7/6/2018 but they went ahead of time and billed me, i consider this as cheating and dubious. For that i am asking you to help intervene and get them refund me as quickly as possible.

My SSL certificate still does not work for 2 of my 4 websites specifically the problem is when I use it other browsers such as Microsoft Edge and iPhone Safari.

The home page on Microsoft Edge and iPhone Safari show a valid certificate but once I open a subcategory on the websites then I continue to receive an error as attached.

It appears that (on these 2 sites) the home page opens with https://name of website but once you change categories or open another page on the website (in Microsoft Edge & Safari) it reverts to https://www.name of website and shows an invalid SSL Certificate.

I do not have this problem with 2 of my websites.

I have attempted to add both websites with the https://www. and without the www. to the SSL certificate, but it reverts back to only one of these options i.e without www.

Please note that I have been in contact with GoDaddy about the SSL certificate error since the 2nd March 2018 and it is still not working. My 2 websites have therefore not been available for 9 weeks.

I have been on the phone for a total of 2 hours on the 15th of May alone, which has cost me substantially in phone usage.

I now have no option but to move my websites to another host and SSL certificate provider.

I will seek a full refund.

GoDaddy blind-sided me. My settings, wherever they were, allowed them to auto-renew my commitment to them for another five years at almost $700 automatically charged to my credit card-why would they keep my credit card information on file (this is almost criminal). They should not have passively auto-renewed me without an affirmative and current permission. I haven't used built a website using godaddy in the last five years so what made them think it would be right to passively renew without contacting me personally? Then they had a lower-level flunky email me a reply to let give me the news that they "acted in good faith", which is a load of bologna. The email didn't even have a way to reply--just a phone number that I called to start the process, which in turn they answered by sending their email to me that leads me back to the same telephone number (this is an endless loop). Good faith is actively getting the client's permission--especially after five years of not hearing from him/her. I want a refund!
