GoDaddy Overall service, website, customer service that is inexistent

I signed in on 07.23.2021 on Go Daddy for a website set up and an email account. I ended up being billed twice and with a second email account that I didn't want. I was billed twice. I attempted on 07/24/2021 (the following day) to contact Customer service and nobody pick up the phone. Firsts I was informed through the website that I will be contacted in 31 minutes. That didn't happen. I called one of the numbers listed for Customer service and I am still on hold after one hour of holding the line open. I want a full refund and a cancellation of ALL services derived from this "Go Daddy" company, or whatever it is.

Desired outcome: I want full refund of all charges derived from signing in with "Go Daddy".

GoDaddy I am complaining about an internal security problem with godaddy

Sunday June 27 at approx 10am
I contacted GoDaddy as I have for
20 yesrs regarding my account.
The tech I spoke to was big off from moment visit started.
I explained the problem anx was met with... "that is no problem"
5-6 times as I kept repeating the problem that exists even as I type this missive.
Finally I became very irritated as his starting off-tone got to be abusive. I record my calls as GoDaddy does. Both are angry and refuses to refer me to someone else whom I could visit with. PROBLEM is SOMEONE
(not me) has mixed my credit cards addresses, etc. I certainly, after 20 years, would not. So in addition to my complaint of the rude tech I certainly believe SOMEONE internally has messed with my 2228047 account. Such mistakes can cost me many dollars! Please contact me with someone with more authority than initial contact techs or refer me to your Counsel.
Thank you, Capt Larry Beavers
Acct 2228047 Bevo2, @aol.com

Desired outcome: Contact me

GoDaddy GoDaddy's version of Microsoft 365

We've been a GoDaddy Customer for 10 plus years across 2 company's. We did not want to leave GoDaddy, but their version of Microsoft 365 is just too limited for experienced techs. GoDaddy gave us 1 day o download our emails into .pst files and to export our data from SharePoint. Now Data is missing and or corrupt, and GoDaddy won't assist @ all.

Desired outcome: Company Assistance would be nice as a tech f 20 years, backup is protocol.

All that data & so many emails creating .pst files over 15 gb you can't give company's 1 shot @ having all their data. That makes no sense unless you are trying to intimidate them to worrying about their data and staying w/ GoData. GoDaddy's M365 is very limited, that's why experienced techs are migrating away..

GoDaddy Beware of Discrimination at Godaddy

I ordered a website from Godaddy for the second time 11/2020. Go daddy never completed my site and refused to give me a refund.

I worked with a rep by the name of Alex for 3 months and made appointments with me and did not show up. He stated he would submit tickets to website design and never did. He blatantly disregarded me and my small business.

I requested a refund so that i can take my business elsewhere and I was discriminated against by a " customer experience" manager.

I received a call from a Nick O today 03/02/2021 at 4:48pm est. Nick stated he made a decision to deny a refund request because my order was restarted 11/2020 and initial order was placed 04/2019. I asked Nick was he aware of the negligence of staff member Alex, he said no we wont speak to that. I asked Nick did he do a proper investigation, and he stated no, he read notes. I asked nick did he hear the previous phone calls I regarded to all of the update promises that didn't take place he stated no, and he has done all that he was going to do and her can offer me 3 months of free hosting.

I asked Nick why he felt he should not complete a full proper investigation, and then make a decision. Nick responded to me and said he didn't need to. The lack of customer care that Nick a "Customer Experience Manager" had is the highest level of Unprofessionalism. Nick's lack of empathy is woeful and his "as a matter of fact" attitude was uncivil.

That fact that my account didn't get properly investigated for a refund due to my purchase date is discriminatory.

Godaddy has never made my site live. Alex has missed 4 go live dates in 2021 alone. There are multiple recorded calls that provide proof Alex negligence. And to top it off my company has lost over 250k in funding opportunities and 03/09 will be another 50k.

This is unacceptable and i need to be contacted amber.[protected]@live.com.

GoDaddy Technical support

Hi
I bought a new domain from Godaddy on the 2nd March 2021 and followed the instructions to have the domain point to an existing website.
The website would not work once I had done this so I spoke to technical support to resolve the issue. After a long call which ended up in reversing the action, my site still did not work. I had 4 conversations over the course of the week with different technical support people who all claimed to have fixed the issue, each advising me to wait for 24-48 hour for propagation.
The problem was finally fixed after the last technician I spoke to said the problem was one of the other technicians had not connected the IP address correctly and the A record was wrong.
This did fix the problem but the previous advisor had said there was no fault with GoDaddy and that I should ask my developer to delete my site and reinstall from the back up which he did. This took him a while and has incurred charges. This was unnecessary in the end as the problem was simply with the IP address.
I have been told there are notes on the account which should give further detail if needed (Ac: [protected]).
I would like some money refunded to my account to cover the cost of getting my developer involved which will be around £100.

Desired outcome: My account to be credited by £100

GoDaddy Refund of renewal

I contacted Go-Daddy as they charged my bank for another year. They issued me a refund authorization #[protected] on 02/24/2001. I have contacted my bank ( Wells Fargo) and they have not received the refund as of 03/06/2001. Visa has a five calendar days policy from the date I requested my refund. It has now been eleven calendar days. I understand "batching" but at my age of "86" and being on SSN I am frustrated as it appears someone somewhere is earning interest on my money that is floating in space. Please help this old man.

Desired outcome: Refund to my bank account

GoDaddy Your chat line

I cannot believe nor tolerate the treatment I am receiving on your chat line. For the last 1 1/2 hr. The virtual chat has texted how many minutes until I receive support but then the process starts the clock time all over again., i.e., new window, new message "how would you like to reconnect", new estimated waiting time. It just starts over. I'm not really in a queue at all. A huge waste of my time.

Desired outcome: Once in a queue, a customer should not be kicked out of the queue.

GoDaddy Website

Cust No [protected]

Please look into my call history- it is ridiculous the amount of times I had to call

I have had numerous issues but the one I am really upset about is when I rang about my website - i was worried as although I had paid it said on screen 'choose plan for when free trial ends' I rang asking why it said this and was worried in case it lost all my work. The man I spoke to was talking about different plans and I told him I didnt understand - all i knew was I had paid in full for a website and email and wanted to access these. He said he needed to cancel something so I said do what you need to I just need to know the website wont disappear by the 'free trial end date' (which I wasnt on anyway as Id paid) On Wednesday I delivered a presentation and referred potential clients to the website to book my services. I went on to try and edit prices and it wouldn't let me edit! I cant access emails either. I am losing business here - I estimate this has cost me £140 this week and as we speak now I am on hold 22 minutes into a call trying to sort this and missing a conference I very much wanted to speak at to promote my service.

This is absolutely ridiculous and I hate to complain I really do but I invested in the website to try and make money as I have been struggling financially since lockdown

Desired outcome: Some form of compensation

GoDaddy My website - www.experientautoship.com

I had Godaddy create a website for my business in November, and it was a terrible mistake. The website was created within about 6 weeks, and the site is STILL not working correctly. There are severe latency issues, page breaks and 503 errors. According to gtmetrix.com, my website performance has a C grade and is operating at 66%. I have reached out to Godaddy numerous times and no one knows how to fix this issue even though they are the ones who created this website. It is infuriating as I cannot effectively market my business without a working website. i am currently on hold with Godaddy as I'm typing this message.

PLEASE HELP!

Desired outcome: I want a functional website

GoDaddy Customer service

I had to call three days in a row to get answers for two simple questions.
On sunday I had to go from tech to supervisor... They could not answer and would need to research and get back to me
One by email and the other by phone
After 28 hours of nothing I figured that would not be happening and it didn't

Monday I called back... This time the tech did not have answers so I had to be transferred once more to a supervisor
Today I called again because what the supervisor told me was not correct and it did not make sense so I called again
On tuesday.

Asked for customer service and got a tech ~ found out they are one in the same.
He was able to figure it out by at least researching. I got my answer but it should have been posted before you buy a domain.
The supervisor I was transferred to to but in a formal complaint.

Sorry was not enough I told them after being on the phone for 6 hours they should compensate me.
Of course they want your money but not keep a over 25 years w godaddy happy. Ten dollars is not worth 6 hours of my time

When I need another domain name... Right now I have 7 with godaddy.. I will be looking elsewhere and may transfer my current ones.

They are rude!
I will not recommended any company with such poor customer service... We pay your checks

GoDaddy Access to my account

I had changed my cell number which is attached to my Go Daddy account in their two step security authorization which I approved months ago. I attempted to log in to my account but forgot my password. The system sent a code to my now defunct former mobile number as part of their two step security authorization which of course did me no good since that number is no longer in use by me. I contacted customer support at Go Daddy at least three if not four times concerning this issue. My first contact was as I recall the first week of November, 2020. The CSR was of course not in the USA and had no idea how to solve this issue, each time I called, the CSR was useless and not helpful. Then I sent an email and was sent a link to file a very specific letter that they require, the verbiage of which is provided by GoDaddy, I was to cut and paste and email this message to
twostepcancel@godaddy.com to request they cancel the two step authorization and send my access authorization code to the email on file, instead of the now disconnected mobile phone number.

I received after a full week, a response that asked for me to send a photo of me (selfie) holding my DMV Government issued photo ID so they can confirm my identity.

On November 25, 2020, I did what they asked and complied with everything they claimed they needed for me to regain access to my domains and my account, so I can update my contact information and my new phone number and new mailing address.

They ignore my messages and continue to be unresponsive.

I now wish to move all my domains to a more trusted and professional domain registry company but have no access to my account nor can I get anyone to work with me.

I am now convinced that I am being ripped off. Many of the domains I have are worth six figures and deal with the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. I am in the process of selling many of these domain I own, but again am being thwarted by their consistent reluctance to communicate with me and solve my access issues.

The only reasonable conclusion is that the company is attempting to confiscate my property and defraud me.

I will accept any help you or anyone can give me to force this issue and regain my accessd to MY Property.

Thank You.

GoDaddy Inappropriate & offensive customer service

Our company has been a customer of GoDaddy's for approximately 16 years. Their customer service has slacked over the past several years, but it has dropped to an all-time low! Just this month (July 2020), I had an inappropriate & offensive experience with one of their customer service (?) reps, in which GoDaddy has yet to address with any feedback communication! We're done! We will DEFINITELY be taking our business elsewhere! Read my letter below...

Hello,

I am filing a complaint against your billing (?) worker, Brian, who processed our company's payment shown in the payment email below!

I called to make our monthly (Microsoft 365 Email) premium payment. I inquired about the balance left on the annual premium, since we had been paying the renewal monthly this time around. Our company has been with GoDaddy for MANY years and this renewal year was the first time we had not paid the premium in full. It was my understanding at renewal time earlier this year, that the premium could be paid in full then or paid monthly over the annual period. However, I also understood that we could pay the remaining months off 'early', if desired, at any given time. Whether my understanding has been clear or not, what your worker, Brian, said to me was TOTALLY inappropriate to a business client!

Brian stated to me during the call that (1) what he was trying to put into words/relay to me was not 'registering with me' and (2) that the annual premium was not like 'lay-a-way' where we pay on it and there's a balance to be paid. WHAT?! I was QUITE offended and annoyed by his statements! (1) He insulted my intelligence, with the 'registering' remark and (2) he offended me as an African American business owner... who's been with GoDaddy for MANY years, with the 'lay-a-way' remark!

Will GoDaddy be another company that's reported that their employees need bias and sensitivity training?! I am hoping that Brian does NOT represent your company with statements like that towards certain client bases! I told Brian EXACTLY how I felt about his statement and that I'd be filing a complaint! The recorded call needs to be reviewed!

I want to have this issue addressed with your worker, Brian! I, also, wish to receive feedback on how this TOTALLY inappropriate situation will be handled... if at all.

GoDaddy Website

I have been a customer with Go Daddy since 2009. On January 28th, 2020, I logged into my Go Daddy account only to find that my website had been hacked by an intruder. This "hacker" added another domain and other products to my account. I called Go Daddy immediately. After spending most of my afternoon on hold, I finally talked to a young man regarding the activity on my account. The rep told me in order to take off all the products that were added to my account he would have to do a restore to my account. I told the rep over a dozen times to either let me backup the files offline or for him to back them up for me. The rep told me to "calm down", I guess because I kept repeating myself. He told me not to worry about my files (the files that took me over 8 months, working 16-18 hr days to create). He put me on hold then came back on the line. I heard the rep say "ah, oh". He had deleted not only my website, but also ALL of my backups that I faithfully maintained! I spent almost every day on the phone the following month trying to talk to someone that had the authority to make things right. It wasn't until March 2nd that I someone in gold brass finally contacted me. I recorded that conversation. At first I was only offered free Go Daddy products, but free products do not remedy my situation. I wanted my website back. After almost an hour on the phone, I was told to get some quotes from agencies that could rebuild my website comparable to the one that the Go Daddy rep deleted after my site was hacked while on their servers. My website was a very interactive online site with three courses built in Wordpress with the LearnDash lms and was developed using h5p, twine, and captivate. I could only find 6 agencies that were capable of building a site like the one I had created. I sent Go Daddy the lowest 3 of these 6 quotes. The average of these lowest three quotes was $1, 026, 666.67. Not only is Go Daddy refusing to honor their words "to make things right", they are refusing any accountability at all. The facts: FACT 1) My site was hacked while on the Go Daddy servers. FACT 2) While making changes to my account, a Go Daddy representative deleted my entire account which consisted of my website AND all of my backups that I faithfully maintained in case something happened to my website folders. Now I am back at square one rebuilding my site from scratch. Go Daddy refuses to take responsibility for their actions. Just in Maricopa County AR (where Go Daddy is headquartered) alone, there are 184 civil cases involving Go Daddy. Those cases are just in the county where Go Daddy resides. I will be filing my suit out of Oklahoma County. I would be interested in knowing how many cases have been filed against Go Daddy in all the counties of our United States. Now Go Daddy has left me picking up the pieces which they themselves left in ruins. The only recourse I have left are to file suit or continue preparing for a class-action while at the same time going back to the drawing board and start a rebuild for the second time. All I was asking for was for Go Daddy to do the right thing by placing my website in a comparable state that it was in prior to January 28th and they tell me the best they can do is offer me free products.

GoDaddy gd hacking in to my bank account.

GD just today took money from my bank account. I never signed up for auto payments of any kind ever not with GD or any other company. Since Bill Gates, the killer of Americans via Corona Virus bought out the Go Daddy company there have been so many problems for users who pay good money. I have been one of these and for the last two years it has gotten worse. I have never worked with a company who is so poorly set up and who hacks into peoples accounts like this. Guess we know now how Gates make more money cheating. This company needs to be working for the people who support it, not stealing. I hope those employees are able to get good jobs some place else and protect themselves from thieves like they are now working for. Enough, I am contacting the Better Business Bureau and the United States Attorney General's Office of Consumer Fraud. I hope more people take the time to report this type of theft.
