Dear Sir/Madam -

Early in August 2011 I was verbally promised an additional bonus (being promised a performance bonus of R1, 500 after the first three months of my contract-term, of which I only claimed half, R750, due to my own opinion that the staff member I was training was still not competent) by their office manager, Kenneth Lemkuhl, when my 11-month contract would expire at the above transcription company on 31st August 2011 because of, in Kenneth Lemkuhl's own words, my outstanding performance during the contract-term and the example and inspiration I had been to the rest of the staff members. I contacted Global Typing per email as soon as I realised this had not happened and after numerous email correspondence the office manager denied knowledge of this conversation and Jan and Karlien Scholtz, the directors, chose to believe the offfice manager. I waited until the end of September 2011 to see whether this would be paid, but as it was not I am now reporting them for failing to keep their word. I am claiming a bonus amount of R3, 500 which was equal to a month's salary. I have emails on record regarding performance, etcetera, if needed. Many thanks
