Ginny's Fraud Alert Activated by Ginny's

Beware of this company, I received a fraud alert after they made a hard credit inquiry against me in December 2021. I never heard of this company or ever ordered anything from them. Next thing I know they sent a package addressed to me that arrived at a house I sold months before and do not live there. Then a bill arrives for multiple purchases I never made. Contacting Ginny's has been a nightmare... they requested all my personal and financial information in writing. Said they couldn't help until they had it, Hmmmm. I chose not to provide them with anything and contacted all credit reporting bureaus directly. All three recommended not dealing with Ginny's and said not to give out any personal information to them. I placed a complaint and fraud alert with the credit bureaus and was able to get the hard credit inquiry removed. If Ginny's tries anything else the credit bureaus will take care of it. I recommend not dealing with this shady company. To date they are still billing me for purchases I never made and sending advertising along with the bills. No further purchases show on the statements they send, but the account appears to still be open. I have made attempts to let Ginny's know I am not a customer and never will be. Watch out for this company, they appear to be a scam and are not helpful at all.

Desired outcome: Remove all trace of my personal information from your data base. Provide a statement showing I owe you nothing. After that, never contact me again.

I wonder if there is a way to block certain companies off the bat from getting a credit check on you. I can think of a dozen companies that I do not want them to run a credit check on me ever, even if I am dying on the road with an animal eating my entrails. Sorry to be so graphic.

You can block them through the credit bureaus by putting a freeze on credit. That way the bureaus contact you to see if you signed up for new credit. Or get LifeLock to protect your identity.

Someone opened an account with my information. Found out by checking my credit report. I have never opened an account with Ginnys. My credit report numbers have dropped because it says I have 2 late payments due to Ginnys. Called customer service and they said they would send paperwork in the mail? Why don't they have a website for this type of complaint.

Have filed a complaint with the FTC and the Attorney General against this company for letting someone open a bogus account with my information. This has also been reported to all 3 major credit score companies.

Ginny's Customer service

I received a fraud alert through a credit monitoring service I have to help protect me against identity theft. Happened around Dec 20th 2021. I called immediately and was instructed to put a freeze with all three credit reporting agencies. Was told a company called Ginny's had done a hard credit inquiry without my knowledge or permission. Thought that would be the end of it. Weeks later I received a child's toy from Ginny's in the mail, then a bill for the toy and two other shipments I never ordered that where shipped to an address in another state. Called Ginny's and was told they really couldn't help me until I filled out some paperwork they would send. Received the paperwork two weeks later and it is asking for about every piece of personal financial information one could possess. Name, address (include previous addresses), SS number, drivers license number, etc., etc. About everything one would need to steal someone's identity. I looked online and see that Ginny's has done this to many people! So many complaints that I am now very concerned that Ginny's is a scam. I also found an ad that an attorney posted offering got help people that Ginny's has done this to. I am not comfortable sending any of my personal information to Ginny's and feel I need to take legal action to protect myself from this questionable company.

Desired outcome: Ginny’s to clear this up immediately without requiring all of my personal financial information.

Ginny's 2 Tier scroll sink shelf

I called customer service to speak to someone about exchanging the item because it doesn't fit over my sink. I was transferred to the supervisor who was very rude and nasty with me. She tells me that I have to pay to have it returned before I can exchange it for something else. I shouldn't have to pay for returns from what the policy said. I didn't get her name because she hung up the phone. I will not be ordering from Ginny's again and I will let my friends and family know not to order from them as well, the staff is very rude. I will spend my money somewhere else.

Ginny's Credit Report/ Billing

First, I was enrolled in autopay for $35 on Dec. 2, 2020 I called to make a one time payment of $202.00 just to lower my balance. I was assured that my auto pay would stay the same. Next, I noticed on my credit report my bill was 30 days late. Next I called Ginny's and the woman informed me that the emp. who accepted my account on Dec. 2.2020 may have entered my account wrong because my checking account was not found and the $202.00 was not paid. Which is strange because I used the same account to pay the 202.00 as I did for the autopay. Next Linda from the credit dept. informed me that she would listen to the phone call and see if I or the emp. gave the wrong acc. #. Linda never did. When I call again to follow up an emp. told me that she would make a note to remove my 30 day late payment and place me back on auto pay. That was 2 weeks ago and neither has happened. Actually Ginny's has now made another error and put my available balance to $0. I'm requesting that my Feb 2021 late payment be removed due to employee error, I'm placed back onto auto pay, and that my available balance is restored. Ginny's Coffee machine

This, is my second coffee maker and both.have been a Lemon! When, trying to make coffee the first machine.! I, couldn't get the top to close ! The second machine, coffee grounds just explores all in the machine and cup ! Can, I just get this coffee machine taken off my bill ? It, starts like it's taken off ! The, only thing it's doing is exploring, coffee grounds everywhere in side the machine !

Ginny's Credit Department

I paid off an account with this company and was told I would be sent confirmation via email, it has been week with nothing. When I called back, I was told credit department was closed, but yet I get emails from them saying to call to resolve the issue. I call back and they again say closed, so I'm confused your closed but can answer emails. I just want the letter stating account paid in full from your company as promised. Your credit department is far from par, and does not do as they say. I need it resolved ASAP

Ginny's Customer service complaint

I have never missed a payment or have never been late. They raised my credit available. When I tried to use some of the credit available I was turned down or told I needed a down payment. I had way over the credit available for the order. In fact after the order I still would have had $488.00 credit available. Thinking about not paying anymore payments the way they are doing me.

Ginny's Overbilling... Entire payment was pulled... Without my agreement or preknowledge

My name is connie strawser... My email is connie. [protected]@gmail.com... I recently ordered a carpet shampooer.. I was told my payment was 80. Oo down...25. Oo a month... Your ordering people confirmed the order... And received a email to confirm the monthly payments... Almost 300.00 was pulled from my card... This was not... What the agreement was to be... When I called the billing... I was told ginny's did not... Have to honor to agreed amount... And was rudely told they did not have to honer my payment plan... I was told the billing could take whatever they wanted... I am sorry the man in billing... Was having a bad day... I wish this matter corrected... And the original plan honored... Never have I been treated so cold and rude... I hope no. Further legal action will be needed... And poor post... Aka word of mouth can go a long way... As well has the.. Bbb... So on...

Ginny's Product/customer service

Ginnys customer service is a joke. Their products are poor quality and when you return them they deny receiving them so you are stuck with a bill anyway. Do not buy from them. They charged me for expedited shipping I didnt ask for as well
When I tried to pay for returned item just to get off credit report they refused to credit shipping.

Ginny's Hard credit inquiry and account opened without consent

A family member paid for and sent me a gift during the holidays from Ginnys.com. I later received paperwork from Ginnys.com saying I had opened an account (I did not!), and the credit bureaus reported that Ginnys.com had pulled a hard credit inquiry. None of this was done with my knowledge or authorization, and my family member never had my date of birth or social security number, they were simply sending me a gift. When I contacted Ginnys.com to ask for the account to be closed, and some way to verify it was closed, they confirmed they had no social security number on file for me, but could not give me a confirmation number of any sort to make certain the unauthorized account would be closed.

Ginny's a order I never placed but billed me for

i went to order some things today and it said i have a payment late of 80.00 that i never ordered anything today was my first time so im not gonna pay for something i never ordered i had never heard of ginnys til today my mom was telling me about it...i dont owe anything the date is 2017 i was un aware of this until today when i placed a order with ginnys .

Ginny's hard credit inquiry without consent

I had never once heard the name Ginny's, I had no idea who they were. A friend of mine used them regularly and wanted to purchase a gift for me.
She put my name and address into the delivery field to have the gift sent directly to me.
Within a couple of days I get a notification that my credit has dropped due to a new hard inquiry.
When I asked my friend if this was the company she ordered my gift from, she confirmed that it was.
I then told her they made a hard inquiry on my credit and she was just as baffled as I was.
Here's the thing, my friend doesn't know any of my personal information, date of birth, social security number, none of that, she doesn't have any of that information.
So how did they pull my credit? Great question, to this day I have no idea.
She called them immediately and asked they reverse it and explained what she was trying to do.
They actually REFUSED to reverse the pull under my credit and I had never been a client.
I then called them, the first person again REFUSED to assist, after finally getting a manager who's name I will leave out of this, but who's name will be included in my official complaint, tried to argue with me as well.
I confirmed they did not have any of my information, they didn't have my phone number, my email, my date of birth, or my social security number. All they had was my name and address. I made it very clear that they did NOT have permission to pull my credit and if it was not corrected that I would file a complaint.
She then told me she would have it removed within 30 days, that was 3 months ago and it's still on there.
I would like my points back on my credit file. And I would like to know how it is legal to hard hit someone's credit without any personal information whatsoever and without any kind of permissions granted via signature etc.
I will be taking the time to dispute it through my credit which I should not have to do. So once I do that, I will be filing official complaints against them for pulling my credit without my permission and refusing to clear it up after admitting that they can see the mistake, someone on their end input the data wrong and instead of my address being used for delivery, it was used to set up an account despite the fact that it came through under someone else's name and account number which was already well established.
This is a disgraceful business practice and I'm horrified that this is legal and I have no recourse for a company bringing down my credit rating for no reason and with no permission.

I wanted to say that Ginnys.com did the exact same thing to me, also at Christmas. A family member sent me a gift, put my name and address into the delivery field to have the gift sent directly to me, and an account was opened in my name, dinging my credit report because they also did a hard credit inquiry without my consent. The family member did not have access to or give my social security number or date of birth. When I called Ginnys.com to protest the account being opened without my permission or knowledge and have it closed, the refused to do give me a confirmation number to confirm that it would be. They claim it will be closed in 30 days but I have no way of confirming it has actually been done.

Ginny's credit department

I have been trying to reach the credit department to speak with them regarding a problem that I've been having. Maybe this will get to them because I really need to speak with them. It is in regards to the multiple attempts of orders that I had on my account which I didn't do my daughter did which would've brought me over my limit. I apologize for that I canceled all of those orders. I now have one order in for one duffel bag for 2499 which is a Christmas gift And I would really like that on my credit. I have attempted several times to get through to the credit department and no one answers. How am I supposed to resolve this issue I can't speak to anybody regarding this issue. Please help me

Ginny's supervisor

Yesterday night around 7 pm. My wife called to inquire on my account and the gentlemen she spoke with was extremely rude and arrogant as she asked to speak to a supervisor, he arrongantly stated he was one, I myself called back about 5 minutes later to report this incident and told the supervisor I spoke with all the facts time and etc. I was then told this matter would be handled as you have recorded lines for such incidents as this and I would receive a call back either last night or today, well the call back we got was not knowing if the matter as if they were just being told again, really you work with the public learn how to act professionally and leave any problems you may have at the door before you step in to work, I demand an apology to my wife from the supervisor Daniel or can't remember it started with a D but it's recorded and the times are reported or either proof that he was repramended for his unprofessional actions and I will continue to contact whoever I have to in order to get it even if I go to my local news station, I will not let this stand because right is right and wrong is wrong and I'm a paying customer never late on my payments but I expect to be treated with the utmost respect as I do for my wife also, this is no way to get continued business and we all know that's what this is business.

Ginny's disappointed

My granddaughter gave me a gift certificate, but when I tried to use it, I was said it was already used. Alison (my granddaughter) said she bought this certificate from the website and of course she never used it. They promised to call me back later, but they never did.
5 days later I called them to ask how it was going. They said nothing was done and said they will send me an email with a neede information and further instructions.
I got nothing. I guess they just don't care, that's why they did absolutely nothing. It's horrible.

Ginny's terrible customers service

Dec 29th 2016 I order a wheel chair bag and pillow. I receive the wheelchair bag right away. But the wheelchair pillow was on back order for three different time 6 months later they call me inform me that it will not be deliver till June 17th 2017. So I try to cancel it. Call CS they gave me a really hard time stating that I could not cancel it; I would to wait till I receive it and return it. I explained that the person that it was ship to was no longer here so I would not have any way to get it or send it back she not there so it was finally cancel. So I called CS the next day to check in see did I owe a balance explained what had taken place this CSR was rude, crude to the fact the love one was no longer here and unprofessional interrupters’, she well very much not trained, do not value your customers at all. She hung up on me while I was talking asking to speak to supervisors, I call back ask to speak to supervisors she stated the she was the supervisors I explain to her what had taking place over the course of the today s she act as if she could really careless. I am beyond disappointed because I really been satisfy with all my products I have order from this company

Ginny's do not trust this store

I had a very bad experience with this store Ginny's and they gave me nothing but headache! I ordered several items from them back in November and in paid over $1000 for everything. These items were Christmas presents for my family.
My items did not arrived and they cancelled my order and my account! When I finally reached someone from Ginny's they said that there was a suspicious activity on my account so they blocked it. They promised I'll get a refund any time soon, but instead of giving my money back they charged me again! I sent a message to their customer service but did not receive a reply. Later they did something and now I can't even access their site. Do not trust this store, they stole from me and they will do the same to you!
