Georgia Power Graffitt on Georgia Power Stone Wall - can it be removed asap?

Hello,

We live right next to the Georgia Power substation on Ponce Place in Atlanta. Someone put a lot of graffiti on the beautiful stone wall, which I believe is GP property. I would be more than happy to help remove it, but would want GP to be aware. Please let me know if there is a place to remove the graffiti. the broken window theory is very relevant in Atlanta.

Thank you,

Karri Hobson-Pape

Desired outcome: Remove graffiti on GP wall

Georgia Power Herbicide sprayed on my new grass and shrubs

09/01/22 This morning a non-english speaking man sprayed the area next to my driveway which consists of grass and shrubs. He did not show an ID or show us the area in which he would be spraying prior to comencement, and not

applied under the direction of licensed herbicide applicators.as described on the website. I don't know if the herbicide is toxic to my pets. It is imperative that I know what you have sprayed. None of the areas that he sprayed had trees or tall grass. We recently spent $3500 on planted ground cover and grass. There was no reason to spray these areas.

Desired outcome: I'd like to know the herbicide used and if toxic. if it is, I need a neutralizer, any vet bills covered. I may need my shrubs and grass replaced. Also sprayed my berry bushes. We are totally organic. Would like a rep to come to our home.

Georgia Power Tree Limbs left. Been two weeks

Ga Power came and cut limbs off a tree that was causing sparks near the house and was reported by a neighbor. They came out promptly and cut the limbs. They piled the limbs in the ditch in front of the house, a truck was suppose to come by and get them. It's been two weeks now and they are still out there. I can't mow around them, and someone told my son, "Your Mom knows the city of Milner does not pick up limbs, don't she?" Well, I am a 75 yr old woman, and I am not able to get these limbs up. Please send your truck out for the limbs. 196 Liberty Hill Rd Milner, Ga. 30257. I'm surprised the City of Milner hasn't question me about them, as of yet. Thank You, and Please.

Desired outcome: removal of the limbs Ga Power cut down.

Georgia Power New construction and relocating overhead wire to underground

I am in the process of building a new home in Rydal Ga. I have run into a roadblock, because the overhead wiring for my neighbor runs directly over the location I am building. I am in turn having the overhead wiring rerouted to underground and a new transformer set on the ground to serve both my neighbor and myself. The

Georgia power rep that we have been dealing with for this project has been ridiculously slow on responding and providing information for this project. We started this process in March and he still has not sent the paperwork so that I can pay for the service so that he will schedule the crew. Because I cant get my house built, it is costing me a ridiculous amount for additional rent. He is also hurting my contractor and subs because they can’t get paid until the work is done. I am so frustrated and disappointed with Ga Power. If I did my job the way this guy does, I would be fired. GA Power, you should do better.

Desired outcome: Please please please get this work done and make power available for my new residence.

Georgia Power Tree limbs cut and just left

Ga power sent a tree service to my house without my knowledge to cut limbs from trees they say is too close to wire. The problem is after finishing cutting limbs they were left all over my backyard. I reached out to them and I was told I have to clean it up at my own expense. I can’t see how this is legal that someone can come on private property and destroy it and the owner has to fix it at their own expenses

Desired outcome: Credit for the cost of cleaning up or send someone to do it

Georgia Power I believe the landline wire is not connected to the utility pole.

Can't remember exact date. It was the latter part of June, 2022. I have spent way too many hours trying to research this, which is why it took me so long to contact you! To continue, I was at home and noticed the truck. No one talked to me. I watched. The guy played around with wires at the top of the pole, got down, and left without any acknowledgement of me, nor did he tell me what he did. Later in the evening, I tried to get on the internet through my TV and failed. Concerned that there was a problem, I checked my other devices: my landline, and my printer. Both failed. I still have no internet connection.

Desired outcome: Please fix the problem!

Georgia Power sagging power lilne

There is a low hanging power line across Payton Road, Atlanta, GA 30345 at approximately 2980 Payton Road. There is a frayed spot at the lowest part which looks like something has already hit it. Could you please come out and take a look before a large truck hits it and takes out lines and our power as well. One block from there at Payton Road and Greenoaks circle - on Greenoaks there is also a low line. Some one - don't know who has already put a piece of yellow caution tape on this line. Could you please check out these two issues.

Desired outcome: Utility truck to come out and raise line out of center of street.

Georgia Power Sediment disposition in Lake Lucerne in East Point GA

In 2009 Georgia Power was installing an underground pipeline easement crossing both inlet watersheds. Runoff from the easement flows into both lake inlets. During the record rainfall event of September 20-21, 2009, sediment laden runoff reportedly entered the lake and resulted in deposition of sediment in the lake (2009 Sediment Evaluation on Lake Lucerne (a.k.a. Piney Woods Lake) East Point, Fulton County GA Project Number 2009.0625.03).

Since the assessment, sediment continues to settle; so much so that two houses have no lake water, and the view is extremely limited.

Desired outcome: This is a request for Georgia Power to a. Assist with the removal of sediment in Lake Lucerneb. Close off the sediment flow into the lake

Georgia Power Moving Service

GA Power removed the meter to the property that I was moving to and requested that I submit a lease to verify that I was occupying the property and have a wiring approval done. I informed GA Power that I had to be out of my apartment at 2505 Columbia Drive, Apt: N4, Decatur, GA 30034, on May 21, 2022, and they confirmed that they do not turn on/off power on the weekend, therefore, I asked for a cutoff date of May 23, 2022, even though I would not be on the property. I have currently been residing at my new address since May 21, 2022 and have received bills for both address 111 Clay Street SE, Atlanta, GA 30317, which I paid bills for both properties online on June 24, 2022 for a total of $159.21 for both locations (I never pay my bills online or over the phone) to make sure that I had proof that the bills were paid. I received another bill for Service Period June 3 - Jul 5 (2022) for $25.34, so I called Ga Power and a manager was suppose to call me back in 24 hours, which they didn't do, so I filed at complaint with Georgia Public Service Commissions on July 15, 2022. Georgia Power finally called me back today and a Daniell stated that she listen to the calls (only 2), but was actually 4 calls to Georgia Power, and I said "no I didn't want the power off" to the representative. She also goes on to tell me that they all till billing me the base fee of $25 because I didn't put in a transfer. I lost my temper and informed her that Georgia is a lie and has been trying to get additional money for me and after the purposely removed the meter after I called the first time to have the power moved, requiring me to pay a $75 fee to have it put back it; I also told her that it's been 6 years of them lying telling me that I couldn't use my personal email address for communications because it was on a died persons accounts. I am sick and tired of Georgia Power and I did tell her since they can't seem to understand english, I Yashica Primrose, have not occupied 2505 Columbia Drive, Apartment N 4, Decatur, Georgia 30034 since May 21, 2022 and there should be no power going to the unit. Why? The owner of the property done a public announcement, which is on all news outlets, that all tenants must vacate the property by August 31, 2022. I did not get that notice because I had already moved due to the conditions of the unit. It has been verified that no one else has been in the unit, therefore, no power has been used. It is crazy of Georgia to bill a customer that requested a move of power, but they gave me a number account number and required a wiring approval with a lease, but Georgia Power proceeds to leave the power on in the apartment. There is no way I am paying currently $25.34 and additional $25.34, which they say is being billed, for a property I did not occupy for my personal or business resident. I have already informed Georgia that I am not paying the bill and they can send it to my credit report because. They informed me that they will send by complaint and my refusal to pay the bill to their legal team. I also, to them not to try to be slick and put these charges on my current resident bill. My question is this, why would I ask for my power to be moved to a new address to then have it still stay on at the old address? Why does it seem that Georgia Power is trying to get more money out of people like me that gave them all the information they needed, but they gave me a new account number, when I had an existing account? I'm a consumer that will not be paying a bill on any resident that I don't live in or have my own business at that address.

Desired outcome: Removal of Billing for 2505 Columbia Drive, Apt: N-4, Decatur, GA 30034, the charge of $25.34 for June and the upcoming charge for July for $25.34, should be removed.

Georgia Power Wrong KWh reading

May bill came with a sudden 1202 KWh increase over last month even if the temperatures were low. Air conditioning did not even run and there were no changes in habits nor appliances. We made many calls to Georgia Power, but no solutions were offered. They will charge $75 for sending a technician to inspect a meter they own and are liable for. A year ago the reading was 1458 KWh, last month was 888 KWh, May is 2090 KWh. There is an upward trend with an increase of 44%. There is no way we could have used 1000 KWh in 22 days. Check this, and fix this. Yesterday.

Desired outcome: Replace the digital meter and credit account to last year’s measurement.

I'm seeing the same doubled meter reading for the most recent bill! It's ridiculous I could've suddenly used double the amount of power, and no, I'm not paying this bill until they tell me exactly why the usage has doubled across all hours of the day since May 22nd. The power usage is usually extremely low in the early morning, but even that has doubled. My thermostat is set at 78, way higher than most households set theirs, and I'm not going to believe that most households pay over 300 dollars a month for electricity.

Georgia Power Tore and left cable line down and exposed at my home

On may 24,2022: There was a outage on my street that involved a power line detached from the power pole located in front of my home and dropping on my street and it ended up laying on top of neighbors car- GA power came on site and assessed the situation and while I was there on site I also saw (it was obvious the weather caused the power line to disconnect from the power line and land on the street on the ground and onto my neighbor's vehicle- it was only one line, the ga power tech told me until they clear the truck 2 ensure safety I was not going to have power for awhile- I left from outside and returned in my home.

May 25th: I noticed when I stepped off my porch to go to me car, i saw a line hanging from off my roof in front of my home and all on top of my shrub and all over the ground- this way first seeing this, I contacted GA power at 5:46pm and reported my call to Taneshia as dangerous conditions & during this call I instructed her to include I wanted a c/b once this matter was resolved and I didn't feel safe having this line not secure on the pole. I never was contacted and no one showed up at my home.

May 26th: Day Two- I contacted GA power spoke to a marion and her supervisor named Shawanna (both unhelpful and down right nasty toward me- I hung up the phone due to the way i was being handled), but b4 I decided to end the call because I was getting no resolution I was told by the supervisor the line wasn't a power line but my telephone line- she claim the technician stated this in their notes(?). This made me furious and is a lie, there was only one line off the pole from the storm and it was the power line, what occurred and I discovered ga power cut my line (which was my cable line I discovered this when my phone company tech came because I reported it being down from the information from ga power supervisor shawanna) and left the cable line just wrapped around the pole that's on my roof that receives power and left it hanging off my roof and onto the shrubs all on the ground and never said anything to me (note: they did this during the outage trip) I know 4 a fact that there was no other lines down other than the power line when they arrived to my location. I cannot express my frustration anger and disgust how i feel toward what GA power had done and how when i called in today how i was handled (which was nasty, unkind, etc)

Desired outcome: For the tech to have came to me b4 leaving and made me aware of things without me having to discover what I saw.

Georgia Power waiting for the power to the building for 5 month

We have a new building project, light commercial and are trying to bring GA Power to connect power to the building for more then 5 months. The responsible engineer for the project is never calling back and is postponing the whole situation. We are starting to lose money by not being able to test the HVAC, Electrical and all other installations through the building. I am trying different ways to rich them but it is not working.

Desired outcome: to connect the power to the building asap

We are having a similar problem. Trying to relocate overhead wires to underground and set a new transformer. It has taken 3 months to just get a price from Ga Piwer to do the work. The price was ridiculous. $19000 to do this. Now we can’t get a call back from the guy to send the paper work. It’s costing me money for my additional rent. It is hurting my contractor and his subs financially. What is the deal here. I’m am so frustrated with Ga power.

Georgia Power Unauthorized closure of account and meter removal.

A tree fell on my home January 4th. I told the representative that our power was cut, but did not want to close my account. Someone took it upon themselves to do it anyways — close my account and remove my meter. I never asked for this. Why would I close my account to pay another deposit? My electrician is telling me that I will be paying over a thousand dollars more to do my power pole. The electrician said they could run it off my meter. I believe this is all a racket to make people pay more money. So, now I might have to pay a deposit again as well because of people's poor judgement. Don't they keep notes?

I never asked for this. Also believe that I should not have to pay a deposit again. It's just them sucking more money out of customers. This is unfair. Sounds like a racket to me.

Desired outcome: My account being reopened with no deposit and my meter installed back where it was.

Georgia Power My electrical wiring was damaged by a faulty transformer.

The Tech that changed the transformer said the device was loose and as a result, my electrical and my neighbor's electrical wiring throughout the house was damaged; my HVAC, all my lighting, my printer was fried and my computer was fried.

My name is Floyd Sprague [protected]), I am a partially blind disabled senior citizen and Vietnam veteran. I need help with this. My other neighbor and POA (Charlene Womack [protected]) is helping me file this claim. I can't see inside my house due to the damage that caused all my bulbs to be blown out and when I replaced them they are too dim.

Desired outcome: I want my wiring fixed and my electrical devices replaced.

Georgia Power Inability to restore power outage within a reasonable amount of time.

On the morning of January 16, 2022 at approximately 7:00 am my home as well as others on my street and surrounding streets had the unfortunate experience of losing our electrical power during winter storm Izzy. Myself as well as many other neighbors notified Georgia Power of the outage and begin to patiently wait for our power to be restored. Throughout the day we checked our online accounts periodically to check the status of the anticipated resolution to the outage. We are currently going on 29 hours with no power and absolutely no updates from Georgia Power. For the duration of the past 29 hours customers have received the following "accessing condition" message when checking the status. Time stamps have been updated periodically however the status has not. As it stands at this moment we have seen no indication that Georgia Power trucks have even been in the area as the only trucks we have seen are from Pike Electric. Currently there is no obvious indications of downed power lines, limbs, or trees in any of the surrounding areas. This is a constant issue in our area as it seems that if a bird was to chirp or a individual make the horrible mistake of looking at the power line then we are without power for days or as long as a full week at times. It seems that Georgia Power has placed the Mill Creek Area in Dawsonville, Georgia as a permanent location that should be filed at the bottom of the "to do" list. This is apparent based on the current outage map that shows 500 people in our area without power while the other outages listed contain only 4 or 5 outages. In addition to that all surrounding electric companies managed to restore power to all of their customers last night or within no more than 8 hours. Since we do not have a choice in what power company we use something needs to be done in regards to the lack of customer service that Georgia Power shows not only in regards to the lack of urgency in getting power outages restored but also the ridiculously high bills that are charged. I have spent the last two days attempting to contact a customer service representative and learned that none where available on Saturday's or Sunday's and that Georgia Power was also closed on MLK Day. The in ability to speak to someone and/or receive any form of update other than "accessing condition" makes life for the customers without power extremely frustrating.

Desired outcome: Power Restored to Our Area Immediately

Georgia Power Acct #[protected]

Since March 2021 this account has showed that it's been closed. Now it's Sept 2021 and a tech comes to tell me hes shutting off the power. This account showed from March2021 - Sept 2021 that it was closed. I called agent with Ga Power and was told that someone had used my account number and so it closed mine. This account is for a shed that holds my camper. There was power until I'm assuming until March 2021 and that's when my account showed closed. Me and the representative figured it out and I had a deposit of $150.00 on that account. I was told that this deposit was used to re-open my account, not sure what charges I should have due to not my fault account was closed. Now they are billing me for another deposit of $150.00 and also going back and charging me for power they say I used for every month.. I hardly think this is fair or right due to I am at no Fault in this all. I don't see where anyone can just take my account number and cut mine off. Now I have a bill where they are showing me that I owe $450.00 and are charging me late fees. There are all sorts of fees that I do not believe I should have to pay, Can someone please get to the bottom of this. I do not feel that I should have to pay anything due to I am NOT at fault on any of this.

Desired outcome: Would like to have all charges dismissed.
