General Motors Politics are not in the best interest of half your custiomer base.

Dear Ms Barra,
As corporation you are beholden to shareholders and customers so by deciding to put politics ahead of your dutires will result in you losing me as a customer for life. Election integrity is the paramount to keeping a functioning republic. By chosing sides you will have alienated half your your customer base or potemtial base. Get woke, go broke. Stay the 'F' out of politics.

General Motors Chevrolet of Homewood In Illinois

My boyfriend and I went there and bought a 2021 Colorado Bison Z2. In all honestly it was the biggest mistake we made was going to that dealership. First argument was the general manager thought I was an idiot and lied to me. Then there was when we purchased the truck we said the truck needed to have a full diesel tank and the DEF needed to be filled. The diesel was full but not the def. Then we were told the wheel locks were on the truck and I am almost positive they were on the truck. They took the truck in back to do God knows what to the truck but the wheel locks were no longer on the truck. I did get the wheels locks after we called and complained. We are so done with this dealership.
My boyfriend was turning in his lease and we were about to have another argument as they didn't want to give us the license plates to the vehicle. The plates are in our name and the person Tim Maros (not sure of the spelling) tells the sale people it is ILLEGAL for us to take the plates to the vehicle. Since we are 100% responsible for what happens to the plates according to the Illinois Secretary of State.

I am also filing a complaint with state of Illinois secretary of state, better business bureau, attorney general and anyone else that will take my complaint and go after those thieves.

Desired outcome: The dealership to be closed

General Motors 2021 Chevy Tahoe

My 2021 Chevy Tahoe with less than 10, 000 miles needs replacement of the transmission. There is no debate about the need to replace the transmission.
GM has agreed to this. The local dealer has had my car in for replacement of the transmission under warranty. The dealer is fine, but GM will provide no information regarding delivery of the transmission for replacement. This has been going on for 6 weeks.

Desired outcome: Prompt replacement of the part.

General Motors 2016 chevrolet silverado 1500

I purchased a used 2016 Chevy Silverado from Stone Mountain Nissan in Lilburn, GA last year and man do I regret it. The fact that the backup camera doesn't work should've been a red flag and kept me from buying it but I was desperate for another truck after my 2002 Ford F-150 with 240K miles ran its course. Shortly after I bought the truck the AC quit working. Not only does it get scorching hot in the GA summers but also extremely humid. I have multiple medical conditions that are exacerbated by humid heat and have spent over $400 trying to get the AC to work and it still blows blazing hot air instead of cold air. The local GM dealership wants to charge me $250 just for diagnostics after I just flushed $400 down the toliet trying to get my AC to work. Had to leave work early and lose income because driving without AC gave me a massive headache and upset my already sensitive stomach. I also just had to replace the transmission on my 4 year old truck 2 weeks ago. I would rather ride a horse to work than buy another Chevy vehicle. I hope GM loses their business license if they don't issue a recall on their AC units soon

Desired outcome: free AC repair

Good Evening, I purchased a new 2020 Silverado from Southtowne Chevrolet in Newnan Georgia about 6 months. Within the first month we took the truck on a drive up to Ohio, it was little cool and cross wind, and I got a continuous Flute noise sound in the cab on my visit and back to Georgia. Seem's like the flat land, it will flute up often ecspecially on...

General Motors Service department

I paid for the key fob to be reprogrammed due to losing the other key fob. I found it and the dealership DID NOT. Change my locks plus charged me for a control module that's attached to my grill. I'm very upset and don't understand why I was charged for a service that was not completed.

Please contact me at +[protected],

Thank you Alicia

General Motors BOLT 2019

I bought a Bolt 2019 in December 2019; in January 2021, the dealer called and said that there is a recall for the battery max charge beecause there is a big risk of fire; I went to the dealer and they programmed the charging capacity to 90% instead of 100% while waiting for a permanent solution from the manufacturer. So here it the big picture, I paid for 60KWH batterie charge that gives 350-400KM autonomy and I end up of paying the same monthly amount for less charging capacity and less milage autonomy for the last 4 months; In addition no one at GM is able to tell me when this will be fixed.
So here are the options I see:
1) you fix the problem and set back the full charging capacity - for what I paid for origibally- ASAP
2) take back the car and get me back my money
3) give a brand new version with the same price I paid for this one
I preferred option 2
Elie

Desired outcome: option 2

General Motors Engine with a 2021 Silverado

I bought a 2021 Silverado Jan. 22, 2021 it has 2265 miles on it. The check engine light came on and I took it to the dealer March 10 and it is still there. There service area is back up. They have ran some test but still do not know what is wrong. Hoping to get it back by April 2. I have only made one payment on it. Could you please see if you can help. My wife and I have purchased eight cars and trucks in the last 16 yrs. This maybe our last. GM has known about coolant in the cylinder since 2014. Why can't you get right. Very unhappy customer. George White [protected].

Desired outcome: Would like it fixed as soon as possible. Before I have to make another payment

I also have a 2021 Silverado and owned since Dec.30/20. Mine was first brought in on Feb.14/21 with 4, 817km and they had it for 2 weeks to fix a sensor. My truck went back in on Mar 16th problems again and they tell me they don't have a fix for it. They say they are sourcing out parts to try and fix. They also have no loaner vehicles that will work for me because I use my vehicle for work and what they loan isn't big enough. They say they can't look at compensating me until the vehicle is fixed. This could be months. I will never buy a GM product ever again. It's costing me a fortune. I'm making loan payments for it to sit at dealership.

Coughlin called and set up an appointment to have the airbag replaced, they said they had one put back with are name on it. We leave over an hour from the dealership, so we drove up there and dropped off the Tahoe and drove back home to get a call to say they do not have the part after setting up an appointment. We had to drive back up and pick up the car...

As the body shop manager for 3 yrs. I was fired on the spot due to sales, threatened with physical harm, had him tells lies about me stealing, & hitting women and threats. Locked me out when I went to get my tool. I had to call police... This dealership is so poorly run. They need to get investigated on their warranty claims and on their quality of work...

General Motors 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Highcounty

General Motors does not care about their customers. In November 2019 we bought a brand new Chevy Silverado High Country from Carl Black Chevrolet. A few months after purchase the truck started making a noise in the drive shaft. We brought the noise to the attention of the service department on March 2020. The dealership was unable to hear or replicate noise. Although we did have a video of the noise.
On May 13, 2020 my husband brought the truck back to the dealership again for the same noise. This time they heard the noise. The dealership kept the truck for 37 days before they notified us that the parts to fix the were unavailable. There is a bulletin issued by GM regarding the problem #PIP5653f., that it would be okay to drive and they would call us when parts were available.
On November 23rd the dealership called and said they had the parts. We dropped the truck off on the 24th of November. On the 25th they brought the truck to our house for us and said it was repaired. When we went to drive it the noise was worse than ever and the truck shuddered.
The truck was brought back to dealership on November 30th. Several people at dealership including service manager and mechanic heard the noise and agreed it was worse
On December 17 GM called and requested we take truck back to shop for further repairs. It was back in shop 2 more days. We picked the truck up on December 19th. The noise was gone until December 21st when it started again. We immediately called the dealership. The dealership said there was nothing else they could do. We have filed a lemon law complaint on December 24th. Since that time GM has been giving us the run around.

We have been more than patient. My husband last spoke with Diana our GM rep. on Monday, January 11th at 5pm. She said she had completed case and was just verifying some information, that we should hear back from her hopefully Thursday or Friday, Monday the 18th at the latest. We'll it is February 10 and we have not heard back at all from her despite numerous calls and messages. Our case number is 9-[protected].

Desired outcome: Replace Vehicle or give us back our money

General Motors 2017 Acadia shifter problem

Experienced problems with the shifter on my 2017 GMC Acadia. When shifting into park a notice would appear to "shift into park." Despite wiggling the shift level I could not get it acknowledge it was in park. Battery went dead. Had the same problem two years ago. Repaired under warranty 10/3/2018 @ 28539 miles. Now at 55961 miles same problem. This time I had to pay $488.34 for a defect GM has failed to fix! I have previously purchased a 1996 Chevy Blazer (new), a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer (new), a 2008 GMC Envoy (new). Why should I continue to buy GM vehicles when you won't stand behind your product?

Desired outcome: I feel I should be reimbursed for the cost of the second repair, $488.34.

General Motors Chrome wheels of 2019 corvette grand sport

Regarding the purchase/ownership of 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, VIN1G1YY2D70K5121009 Purchased 12/31/19 at AutoNation, Peoria, Arizona.
After purchase and during 75 mile drive home, I became aware of considerable vibration from the tires or wheels. I told the salesman via phone during a subsequent conversation and my intentions to get the tires balanced locally.
Following the holidays, I took the car to Tire Pros in Prescott, Arizona where the tires were tried to be balanced on their Hunter Tire Balancer. There was some improvement but the vibration was still there. The car was returned a week or so later and a Road Force Balance attempted by dismounting and turning the tires. While doing this, there was a front and rear tire found to have defects through Michelin. New tires were ordered, received week later and then mounted and balanced. The vibration remained and the exchange cost me in excess of $100.00 after Michelin agreed their tires were defective. Again I drove the car hoping the vibration would work itself out and it clearly became a rhythmic type of vibration.
After driving and putting up with it, I changed the tires in Nov 2020, placing Continentals on in place of Michelins. After mounting and balance the vibration remained. I returned to the Sun Valley Tire shop in Prescott Valley and had them do a run out on the rear wheels. It was then noted the right rear inner bell of the wheel was bent. I subsequently ordered a new GM replacement at a cost of nearly $700.00 and had it mounted and Road Forced Balance. The car no longer has the "seat feel" vibration but the steering wheel still has the rhythmic on/off vibration. I at this point suspect that one of the front wheels is also bent and again after the holidays and improved weather, I will take it back into Sun Valley Tire and have a run out performed on the front wheels. Sadly, being 74 and paying for an $80K vehicle should not be an issue I should have to deal with. I'm not wanting anything but a ride as smooth as my 2018 Cadillac XTS provides which cost less money.
