General Motors 2004 monte carlo ss

on July 17/2017 I hit a moose. the impact was bad enough to take the back window out. the steering wheel was bent at impact. the car is totalled. none of the air bags went off. seat belt did not lock for safety. As the impact was so bad it is surprising that the air bags did not deploy nor did the seat belt lock into place. All recalls have been done on my car when recalled. I have added pictures to show the extent of the damage done.

General Motors gm faulty parts caused engine fail and gm refuses to pay for replacement

I purchased my 2010 GMC Terrain with the 2.4L engine in November of 2009. Since then I have tried to get satisfaction from the dealer and GM Canada on the oil usage issue, only to be told that using a litre of oil every 3000 km is within their specs. This was not acceptable then and is not acceptable now. I bought a new vehicle so I wouldn’t need to deal with the expenses of a used vehicle. This has been the most disappointing vehicle I’ve owned to date and my most recent experience has left me stunned.
A week ago (July 16, 2017) my engine light came on and the engine died. Upon restarting it I had a loss of power and it sounded terrible! I limped it to my mechanic and the codes came up that it was the items under Special Coverage #12313C – Engine Balance Chain and Fuel Pump. He contacted the John Bear dealership and they indicated that it was covered if this was the issue. When I called them they asked me to drive it to their location and they’d have a look at it. They uncovered these issues and said that they felt there was more issues and asked to look further into the engine. I gave them permission and they discovered that the damage was more extensive as the loose chains had wore down the teeth in the gears and that the debris would be throughout the engine. They recommended replacing the engine at a cost of $9500.00. I felt that I had no choice but to agree as I need my vehicle.
I have been doing my research and discovered that you stopped producing this engine for fuel efficiency reasons. Yet seeing the complaints on line, it would appear that there were more issues than just the fuel efficiency. Upon speaking with mechanics and getting a better understanding of how this engine works, it only makes sense that once you have internal components such as these out of balance and not working efficiently, they would affect the other moving components in the engine causing even more problems. I have come to the obvious conclusion that this engine should have been recalled to either fix the issues prior to them doing damage or the engines should have been replaced under factory warranty. It is also clear that the damage to this engine is a direct result of the Special Coverage items listed above. This is a known GM issue (as I’ve noted in on-line forums) and the cost of the engine should be covered by GM.

General Motors 2011 chevy traverse ltz awd

I have had my car numerous times in the service center at Jeff Wyler in Canal Winchester, Ohio for the same issue. Twice they told me nothing was wrong and sent me home like I was crazy. The problem is my 2011 Traverse started ready tons of errors across the dash. AWD off, service AWD, traction control off, service traction control, stabilititrack off, service stabilititrack, check engine light and traction control light comes on. Rpm' start to run high then it reads another issues engine powering down and you drastically slows down from 65 to 35-40 in seconds. Another time on interstate 270 it shut off completely and lost steering and brakes too. Almost got milled that day by a semi. This time on June 25 on our way home from vacation it did it again. This time the car' engine shut off completely again in the mountains of West Virginia. I lost steering and brakes. Thought I was going to cause a huge pile up trying to get over. We had to use the emergency brake which gave us all a good jolt. Back to Jeff Wyler chevy who is not sure what is wrong and wants to charge me again. They told me to file a case with GM that they are seeing this a lot. Did and got denied so I appealed it. Jeff at GM who is in charge of my claim has hung up on me . Now, he doesn't return any of my calls. I know he is covering up for GM. I have contacted the Ohio Barr, filed a compliant with NHTSA and the BBB, and lemon law of Ohio. I p, an to take this public with Channel Six on You Side Investigators. I am only asking you resolve a known problem wit your vehicles before someone is seriously injured or killed. These cars are extremely dangerous and not dependable. Stand up and take responsibility.

General Motors bical chevrolet dealership in valley stream, ny

I ordered a duplicate key for my 2015 Chevrolet Corvette. And they informed me that the key had to be cut by General Motors since it's cut from the vin number and they would send it to me. They mailed it regular mail to my residence with NO tracking number or signature required or ANYTHING and someone stole the extra key from the post office. I'm also filing a police report with my local police department and filing a complaint with my post office but this is unacceptable. They should not have mailed a key to a 73, 000 vehicle regular mail. I want someone to help me please?

General Motors 2016 chevy cruze/murray gm merritt

In 2015 I bought a 2015 gmc Sierra from murray gm in merritt..so exciting right...no the truck was in the shop countless times for the same issue..tire blew on truck at 10000 kms...I got new tires put on through murray gm using the eazy lien system the dealership has..I had a change in my circumstances and had no choice but to trade the truck in for a vehicle with cheaper payments. There was a $700 remaining balance on the tires I had purchased for the truck. When the salesmen was doing the appraisal on the truck I told them there was a balance owing and to be sure to take the cost into consideration as the tires were brand new. They told me yes all was to be taken care of. After all was said and done they tell me they will only pay half and i was to pay the other half of the tire balance...this didnt sit well with me...i made another $100 payment and decided to speak up...when i told the manager that i didnt agree he got very upset and told me i could service my new car elseware. Which i was also dealing with non stop issues with and they were unable to diagnose or fix the issue. They also nailed me with a $200 deductible for the windshield on the truck. So now I have to drive an hour to have my vehicle serviced in kamloops bc. The dealership there can also not figure out what is wrong with my car. It groans and creaks while turning...at first it was only hard turns both left and right...now it's any slight turn and bumps in the road even getting in and out it creaks. Something is very wrong with my car and no one can fix it...I'm so frustrated I'm ready to blow...the car sounds horrible and terribly unsafe. I need this issue addressed...I'm want a new car or null and void any debt paid for this car. This is complete [censor]...the stress of this situation is too much. Please once and for all FIX MY CAR or FIX THE PROBLEM. Thank you for your time look forward to hearing from u...oh and I forgot to add murray gm has sent me to collections for the $300 owing on tires that I don't have...tell me why I should pay for tires that I don't have...sick of wasting my hard earned money on gm garbage and being treated like [censor] by sleezy gm salesmen

General Motors 2016 malibu cracked cylinder etc issue

My Malibu has been at Andean Chevrolet for six weeks because of a known issue with this engine. Maybe ready this week IF they are able to locate the remaining parts required-related to the "stoachastic" ignition, cracked cylinder blah-blah-blah issue. I would like to know what is being done to allay concerns following the repairs, that vehicle will be reliable, Good driving condition and that I won't continue to have issues and when I go to sell or trade it it will be worth more than scrap value. My first GM car since I was 20...very disappointed.

General Motors unethical behaviour

Invoice Date 07/10/17 Invoice #CHCS516314

Automobile: 05/ Chrysler/PT Cruiser/2Dr Conv. Tour

We want to complain that this dealership misused the diagnostic procedure for a repair issue of an overheating engine. The diagnostic was to replace the thermostat. Afterwards the overheating continued to be a problem and the dealership (service technician) Please see suggestions on invoice # attached to see how ridiculous this is. The normal process of elimination on this diagnostic was completely ignored. There is blatant reason to believe that this was a manipulative effort to gain where not necessary. I would appreciate that this would be corrected and not let dealerships be led by greed, but by repeat business and integrity. You guys will lose if this is not corrected. Someone with clout might go to the press with this if you do not correct this quickly. We expect a reply to this and an apology. There was un-necessary money wasted and people put into a situation that caused stress and fear without knowledge and feasibility.

General Motors employment

It is truly unheard of the amount of harassment, vulgar language, and sexual talk that goes on in their branch in Lafayette, La. After being employed by this company for over year, I am wrongfully terminated because I brought up these cases of harassment! I hope that someone in upper management in this company realizes that this is unethical, and in most states illegal.

General Motors 2014 chevy cruze

I financed a 2014 Chevy crude rs in Feb of 2017. Since then routine maintenance has been done on the car exactly when it was due. Everything on my part has been done correctly. However last night marks the 3rd time the check engine light has come on. I will be taking it do the dealer to be serviced yet again. In no way should I have to be doing this. I've had the car 4 months with 3 check engine lights! Each time they tell me the problem in something that is normally for the car to experience. What?! Check engine lights are normal now?! Extremely disappointed with the entire situation and at this point have no desire for any GM product and definitely would NOT recommend to anyone.

General Motors 2015 yukon denali xl

Another failed A/C condenser unit. Major problem at GM right now. None available. Told me it would be over 30 days before part would be available. It's practically a new car. Major failure on GM's part and a defective condenser that they aren't willing to stand behind. Will cost over $1000 to fix. Not impressed with GM's repose at all. Time to start a social media campaign, or better yet get litigious.

General Motors 2013 chevy malibu

I purchased this vehicle one year ago and have had nothing but problems. At 60, 000 miles two new rear wheel bearings had to be replaced. It spent 3 months in and out of the shop due to overheating issues which resulted from a reservoir attached to the water pump. I have since had a ground wire break in the trunk. I have had check engine light issues. P011 error code which resulted in an 'update' GM put out requiring the car to be reprogrammed. Engine light is on AGAIN, will get error code and take it back to the dealer. This is costing me $100-200 every 3-6 weeks and frankly it's getting old.

General Motors chevy 2012 equinox-oil consumption

I purchased the 2012 Chevy Equinox in Feb 2016. I am very happy with it but is has recently been using oil. I gave it an oil change on June 1, 2017 and today July 11, 2017 the engine light came on. I took it to Autozone to get the codes and found it has no oil. 5 quarts in 6 weeks, way too much. I have been noticing more oil consumption ever since my check engine light came on in August of last year for the crank position sensor. When the light went on in August 2016 I called the dealer, gave them the code I was getting. I was told that I would need to drop the car off for a day or two so they can look it over, mind you it was under warranty at this time, but I told them that I would need a loaner car since I need to work. They did not have a loaner car and said it is a known problem with my car an it would be fine. I requested them to call when they have a loaner car available which I never got a call back. I contacted them a few weeks late in September 2016 and I got the same song and dance. Now it is July 2017, my warranty has run out and now I am going to have a huge bill for a known problem on this car. Is there a recall for the oil consumption on this year car?

General Motors 2011 chevy malibu

I have a 2011 Chevy Malibu with less then 90, 000 miles on it and my transmission is shoot. GM wanted almost $6000 to replace/ rebuild my transmission. My local #1 transmission specialist is charging me almost $4000 to rebuild my transmission. I was told that the transmission dying is not my fault. My transmission Specialist explained he has 2 other Malibus in his shop currently with the same issues. Evidently Chevy Malibus from [protected] have transmission problems. I was wondering since this is a know fact why is there no recall and or any partial reimbursement available for Malibu owners who get their transmission rebuilt with all GM parts?
I was advised not to buy a used low milage transmission due to the chance of it dying as well.
I would love to hear from you soon.

General Motors hi im eli for orlando florida, my complaint is about shock absorbers

To Whom It my Concern,

I purchased z06 w/ z07 package with the heavy duty suspension i spent with GM lot of money in corvette is my #3, now what's happen is that one of my z07 front right shock absorber leak. So I make appointment with the dealer and the guys keep the corvette for couples of days for repair under warranty. Call me for pick up my z06 w/z07 when im go home I check make sure the guy install the RIGHT SHOCK end i see they install the wrong shock in the right front side. That is unsafe because my corvette has heavy duty suspension and is 62% higher heavy duty VS the regular. So, on the left I have the original heavy duty and on the right have the regular shock that the dealer replaced. Can't drive that corvette with that wrong suspension the dealer install in the right front, I feel GM NOT IS SAFE IN THAT, I BUYYYY Z07PACKAGE not the regular one zo6 so before I take any legal follow-up I try to report to GM first before get any action, my corvette have warranty PLUS EXTENDED WARRANTY TOO SO WHY THE WRONG PART WAS INSTALLED?

General Motors I have a 2014 silverado with only 18000 miles hand the ac has gone out twice=ce.

My 2014 Silverado's ac went out while under warranty. They said they had to replace a hose that was leaking. I guess they replaced the hose. They may have just put more Freon in the system. Now a few months latter and the ac is gone out again. The dealer said it had a leak. I did not need a dealership to tell me that. They could not find the leak. So they put fron and dye in the system and told me to come back in two weeks. I guess they hope the dye will show the leak. They charged me $90- to do nothing but put Freon and dye in the ac system. The ac after an hour is not blowing out cold air. There are many reports out on the internet about Silverado's ac problems. Most seem to be a faulty hose. The dealers are replacing the hoses and installing a bracket for support. this problem should be a recall item. I do not want my compressor and condenser to burn out. what is your thoughts on this matter. This is disgusting for a American made auto! Thank you for your time and consideration with this problem.

General Motors 2010 chevy impala ls

On Friday, May 4, 2017 I contacted Gateway Chevy on 99th Ave and McDowell in Avondale, AZ to purchase another vehicle. I spoke with Tony a salesman I worked with just one year ago. I advised Tony that the car I purchased from him last year transmission has stopped working. Tony asked me to refresh his memory about the vehicle. I told him I bought from him a 2010 Chevy Impala. Tony stated he remembers now.

Tony asked me what vehicle was I interested in purchasing and do I have money down. I told Tony I wanted an Equinox or a vehicle that would be able to tote my son’s 5 piece drum kit with symbols and that I did not plan to purchase a vehicle so I do not have any money down at this time. Tony advised me he has a good Dodge Journey with three row seating that would be perfect and to complete an online credit application and he would get back to me. After two hours had passed, I called Tony back to ask if he had any updates. Tony advised me that I owe $8500 on my car and he would have to look into what he could do for me. I expressed understanding.

On Saturday, May 5, 2015 I called Tony to see if he had any updates. Tony advised me that the bank will only approve of a new vehicle $16, 000 or less. He said the Equinox would not work. I advised him that I saw an Equinox on their website for $18, 395. He said the bank would only finance $16, 000. Tony said he would look into rebates to help this go through. I called Tony two hours later. Tony stated he could get me into a new Malibu or Cruze. I advised Tony that I have been using my Impala to carry the drum set without a problem. I asked Tony “Will the Malibu hold the drum set, me and my three children?” Tony said the Malibu would be better and he would get back to me.

I called Tony two hours later and asked for updates. Tony said he was waiting to hear from GM to see if he could add more money to the deal. He said he would call me before the dealership closed at 8pm. I did not hear back from Tony.

I called Tony’s cell and it went straight to voicemail. I call the dealership Sunday afternoon at 2pm and was advised to come in and ask for LaRue. I had my 2010 Chevy Impala towed to Gateway Chevy and asked for LaRue when I arrived. LaRue took my information, pay stubs, Driver’s License, and said he would return. When LaRue returned he stated he has the perfect car for me and I can choose the color.

He took me to a 2016 Chevy Malibu. He explained this was one of the loaner cars the service department uses and it is for sale at a great price. LaRue asked if I would like to test drive it and I replied yes. After the test drive, LaRue said he would be right back. When he returned he asked me how much do you have down. I advised LaRue that I do not have any money down and had not planned to purchase a vehicle. I was not expecting my transmission to stop working within a year of owning the vehicle. He said I’ll be back.

He returned telling me that there is nothing he can do to help me. I asked to speak with a Sales Manager. A Sales Manager by the name of John was rude and abrupt with me stating that he is not responsible for whatever Tony told me and that I need $2, 000 down to get a vehicle. I asked about rebates and the value of my car. John asked “What car? You have a trade?” I replied yes that is why I am here. He asked LaRue “What’s going on with her car?” LaRue replied “It don’t work.” John said “Well ma’am if it don’t work and you don’t have a down payment, we can’t help you.” I explained to John that I bought this car from this dealership and just renewed the plates. I was not expecting this car to be inoperable in a year. John replied “Ma’am, we can’t help you. Do you have a way home?” I replied this was my only car and I do not have any other transportation. John got up from the table and told LaRue “Take her home and send her keys to service.”

John walked away from the table and my daughter and I was escorted out of the dealership. When approaching the gates of the dealership, LaRue hands me a white envelope and tells me to put this in the drop box on the otherside of the security shelter. I proceeded with his request and returned back to the vehicle.

During the ride home, LaRue “grilled” me about people in my life that could co-sign or help me with the down payment. I advised LaRue it is just me and my three kids. LaRue said people always have some friends, family, or co-workers willing to help them out. I chose to stop talking and told LaRue thank you for the ride when we exited the vehicle.

Your Service Advisor Robert inspected my Impala and advised me I would need to pay $3, 500.00 to replace the transmission. There were two different warranty documents with my contract that contradict each other and both expired.

Currently, my Impala is at another transmission repair shop. I was advised by the technician that my vehicle's transmission has had multiple transmission recalls and problems.

The amount I am responsible to pay to fix my transmission is more than the down payment John requested.

I am so disappointed by the treatment by the staff at Gateway Chevy in Avondale, AZ and how your staff handled this issue.

General Motors 2013 chevy malibu safety concern

I own a 2013 Chevy Malibu. While driving 65 miles per hour on the highway, the car lost power (radio went out, instrument panel lights went out, power steering locked up) momentarily. It continue to do this until I reached home. This could have caused a serious accident! The same thing occurred 2 weeks ago. That very next morning I took the car to the Chevy dealership and was told, "we can't duplicate the issue" and sent home. When it happened 2 weeks ago, I was pulling into my drive way and was able to park without incident. This morning with it happening on the highway, as soon as I got home I called a tow truck to tow it to the dealership. Again, I am being told, "we can't duplicate the issue, come pick up your car."

I then went to Google and to my amazement, I find this is a common problem. Here is another person's complaint, "I have a 2013 Malibu and my radio goes and then the steering wheel locks up. I have paid $300 out of pocket to change some sort of connector issue, had all the wires and batter cables changed. GM put a new radio in it and it still did not fix the problem. GM said I should not have paid out of pocket. Same issues continued to happen so I took it back to the dealership and now they are telling me the steering rack/gear is bad and I have to pay $1800 out of pocket to get it fixed. The man said that the issue happened to them while driving it so they were able to correctly diagnosis the problem. They told me that the second time I took it in as this is the fourth time. Why couldn't they correctly diagnosis it the first time it did it to them and it seems that there are numerous complaints of this problem so how are we/I responsible for a GM defect. Has anyone had any luck in getting GM to take responsibility for this.

- Shawna L., Shirley, IN, US"

This is just one of many but this one is almost exactly what I am experiencing. One guy indicated he ended up having a car accident that totaled his car after several attempts to get the issue resolved.

I have a 14 year old and I am willing to take that risk! Does someone have to lose their life before you issue a recall for this issue?
