Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Incorrect order / product

Bought 10.1 tablets as advertised online (with Android 8). Received 10.1 tablets (not as the one advertised). Tablet looks different from the online advert and it has Android 11 on it. Trying to get Game to collect the incorrect tablets from us and take them back for a refund as they do not have the exact product we ordered. Now struggling for more than a month now to get the product collected again. I keep on phoning them only to be put through from one person to the next all with the same promise. "We will contact you, and we are waiting for feedback from head office, etc." All of them are so sorry for the inconvenience but no one is doing absolutely anything to speed up my process. I'm trying to stay in contact with Imtiyaaz as he is the main person working on my case. I can never get hold of him and he never phones or email me back. It's now more than a month of back and forth with no luck at all.

They are all bad, but there is a specific woman named Lucky who works at the Cash advice area...

I called at around 08:15 - 08:20 on the 2023/02/25. I was pass around to many different departments so a simple enquiry (Clearly no one was in the mood to work)

I finally (and unfortunately) came across a woman named Lucky, and she was really rude (Listen to the call) and I had to literally tell her to stop being rude just because i asked her a question.

I was told that i should wait on the line to rate her service, and i wasn't given that option, guess she knew i fail her.

We bought the Lawn Mower last year 17/02/2022 It was wonderful then it started the problems. We decided to take it back. We road in and gave it in and started to wait for the return. We phoned a few times. At last, they let us know it was fix. We went to fetch it on the 21/02/2023 got home and started it well that is a joke. We are taking it back tomorrow and i am really upset that we bought this very expensive lawnmower and that it is giving us so many problems.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Hisense

I purchased a Hisense 55-inch TV on the 2nd of April 2022 from Game Brooklyn
Two weeks ago, it would not show a picture
Contacted Game and states the issue and was referred to Hisense.
It has taken two weeks for Hisense to raise a job card only to have a technician inform us that the LCD is cracked and the technician stated it is physically damaged.
However the TV was not physically damaged but the screen is has crack for no reason, on the warranty is not valid.
It seems I have just wasted, 8000 buying a TV that has no Game warranty on it. Hisense service are absolutely useless.
People should be informed by Game that once you purchase a large size TV that it is no longer Game's problem
Highly annoyed and will never buy a TV from Game.

Desired outcome: Replacement TV as it is not older than a year

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Electronic kettle * (logic)*

I took my 2 year guarantee electric Kettle I bought last in June which doesn't wanna switch on. Got to the store in King williams town,1st the guy that was asked to assist took almost 5 mins to attend me. Was so surprised when he said he's gonna call their manager and was pleased. She the manager took another 20-+ minutes and said sorry I can't assist because the condition of the Kettle won't be accepted by the factory. That shocked me because I showed her my slip/box that's written 2 year guarantee. What most made me furious was the fact she just left me standing there by myself as I was still unsatisfied and shocked by this as Games motor says other wise about guarantee

Desired outcome: I would like my right as a customer to get the guarantee I'm an entitled too if then Game can't get my money back and go buy another Kettle. Deal with this poor personal management

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za The treatment of employees at the Polokwane Game store by Grace Maruma is absolutely DISGUSTING

I am utterly disgusted and mortified by the treatment given to employees by Grace Maruma at the Polokwane Game Store branch. Not only does she bellitle them and treat them with close to absolutely no respect but she is comfortable enough to do this in front of customers.

I often go to Game for my essentials and more than one occasion have I had a first hand experience in witnessing this woman bully the employees. I would assume she has a managerial position but if this is how Game conducts it's treatment of employees then I am more than happy to stop supporting this franchise. On two occasions I have seen her torment employees so much that they were close to tears.

Mind you, I am not the only person who was disgusted by this behavior because multiple people in the queue had an issue with what we had witnessed and I for one can definitely confirm it has happened way too many times and the fact that nothing has been some speaks volumes about how Game treats its employees. I'm utterly disgusted.

They may be employees but they are humans first, with feelings. Give them some level of dignity. I truly am disgusted and will no longer be going to that Game branch.

I bought a Ryobi 1200w generator inverter today (26/01/[protected]:34) pm at game. As any customer do you do not open the box in store because you believe that it is the right product and a brand new one as well. I live 320km from the game I bought the product from and when got home I opened the product and guess what? The product has been used before it smells like petrol and when I checked the oil level it is low. There various marks and spots on the product and the exaust outlet you can see that it has been used before. The product manuel has been cut with sisors and has hand writing of a child on it.

Desired outcome: I just want game to take responsibility for selling a used product to a customer and exchange for a new one or refund my money.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Samsung air conditioner

I had purchased a samsung aircon on black friday.

After the installer installed it ,it worked for two days and stopped .

From them till now i have made countless calls to game who have asked me to contact samsung myself and fourways.

It has been almost three months with no resolution.

Game pavillion is dissapointing i have no faith in that brand of stores any longer.

Good Afternoon. It is with absolute disgust that I send this complaint with absolute no confidence that anything will even be done about it.

I bought a Tevo Magneto product from Game Newcastle on the 8th of December 2022 and it was used once before it stopped coming on completely after being charged for the required time.

I went to the store today with the product in the original packaging including my receipt and the rep for Tevo (Thandazo) who was extremely abrupt and rude to me told me that the only way the product can be exchanged is if it is within 14 days - which I was unaware of as the leaflet says 6 months guarantee. After her rude and arrogant behaviour, I requested to see the manager of Game to which she responded that he is unable to assist us because it's not Games problem it's a Tevo product, but the product was purchased from Game - not Tevo! After arguing with us, she eventually called Aman Maharaj to tell us what she told us! The service is beyond pathetic!

We were planning to purchase paints and renovation items for our house today but we were so completely disgusted at the service and attitude that we went to another shop because we refuse to support a business that has no values or ethics on customer care!

Desired outcome: Disciplinary action should be taken on the Tevo rep as well as Aman Maharaj as they have no sense of what customer care and support is if they are the ones representing a brand/company as well as an apology!

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Good day.. It's. About a tv smart set bought on 24 nov no delivery

I bought a TV set as above on the 24th of November last year to be delivered to Durban to 1083 Belair road Durban.. I have been told TV was returned by the courier company but they never contacted anyone to ask as they are supposed to call on delivery of an item. I hv been in contact with a lot of your agents they refuse to put me through to a supervisor and l am getting frustrated now.. Am going to the second month no delivery and all l am getting is that TV is still at the store. I have asked which store so l can go and pick it up myself they refuse saying it's impossible.. Can the person in Durban go and collect no. So as a customer how am l to handle this issue. It was a present for my brothers kids now it's pointless bcz they have not received it.. Is there anyone to assist me pliz on this matter how do l get hold of tje supervisor or management

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Cancelling a buy and want a refund because of faulty tumble dryer

Hi we baught a new defy tumbledryer, the first time we use it the slides where the drum runs on came loose and fall out, we took it back and game replaced it, the 2nd one was a just before the holidays when we received it, my wife dried our towels and put the timer on 40 min, after an hour+ she realised it doesnt swith off, when we came back frombholiday we tried again with the same outcome, we went back to game and told them we want to cancell the buy, now they come with stories, 2 of defy 'tecnitions' came to fix it, I said to them what dont you understend, idont want it fixed I want the buy cancelled I will buy on another place another brand or what I want, he says to me he must still test it, while the machine was off he turn the timer setting by setting up and down 2 times put the plug in swith it on for about 10 sec and switch it off, how the [censored] wasthat a test now apparently he tested it and there was nothing wrong, now im more deturment, I dont what it any more, I want my money back, my name is Peet de bruyn tel [protected] or my wife Secilia [protected] and we baught it at game vredenburg if you please can assist im considering it to go to the consumers councell

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Cooker hood purchased on Black Friday (25 November 2022).

To whom it may concern
My email pertains to a cooker hood that I had purchased on the 25th of November on Game online Store.

The purchased item had only arrived around the 5th of December (but was supposed to arrive on the 2nd). Bear in mind - I only have about 7 days to return any faulty items (it was only delivered after the period in which it could have been returned).

I then had the item installed in the week of the 10th of December and that`s when I noticed the dent on the front, left side. The item could not have been damaged during installation as it was boxed until the time of installation. I am a single homeowner, so there is no way the item could have been damaged due to my negligence or recklessness.

I was only able to contact GAME (Game [protected]@game.co.za) on the 21st of December to notify customer care of the damaged item, after numerous attempts, I eventually managed to speak to a customer service representative. I explained my situation after which I was informed that Game will not replace the item or provide me with a refund due to the fact that I had notified them too late, they couldn't offer any help and that I should therefore simply just accept the product as is.

As a loyal customer of GAME, I find the explanation and outcome of my request tremendously UNACCEPTABLE. The product was purchased for my new home, which I was extremely excited for. Now I must look at a dented cooker hood, which I paid cash for and which I only received after the date of delivery. I could have purchased the cooker hood at any other store, but I chose Game because of the quality and efficient service I received from them in the past.

I want my matter escalated, as I refuse to pay full cash price for a brand new dented appliance. I expect for the matter to receive urgent attention and for my complaint to be resolved timeously.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Service at game stores cresta

Good evening

Today my family and I visited the game cresta branch - 08 January 2023 at around 10am
We were appalled at the service and treatment given to us by the floor manager
I had put a box of whiskers cat food into my trolley which was on the shelf with a price of R140 for 12 pouches
However the box itself did not have a barcode
Upon reaching the till point the cashier opened the box and scanned the items as individual which was 13.99 each
I said no as the price is 140 for a box of 12
She then called the manager who treated us as if we were thieves in the store
Saying the box is opened and they need to count how many is in the box
Which wasn't even opened by us
She then proceeded to go to the cat food shelf and said that the box is not for sale and they have to charge me individually
I disagreed and said that I've bought this box before from spar and they had no issue with the box price
She was extremely rude and went ahead to void the purchase
And told me to go and buy the cat food from spar
Why should something be placed on the shelf with a price tag under if it isn't for sale
My family and I left as she was really disrespectful
This will be placed on social media and we will no longer support game stores going forward
Kindly ensure that staff are trained on customer service and deal with situations in a helpful understanding manner instead of being rude to customers
If the lady spoke properly and explained why it couldn't be resolved it would be understood
However telling me to go an purchase from another store is unacceptable

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Christmas tree

Once again I am left utterly disappointed by game liberty mall.

I placed an online order for a Christmas tree. There were 4 in stock at the time. The order went through payment was successful. I received a message from game liberty mall yesterday that MY order was ready for collection. So I sent my husband first thing this morning as traffic was a nightmare at the time I received the message (I am a traffic officer and I was working in the area) so my husband goes with the message and reference number as well as my ID and they tell him that there has been no stock from yesterday. So we have now wasted time 200.00 petrol for an order that was confirmed to be there. What exactly does games managers do if they are not ensuring that there is sufficient stock for the orders before sending out messages for collection? Who is responsible for these things I would like to take my kids to the store to show them that is the person responsible for them not getting the tree they wanted. I am absolutely appauled by MR. Mkhize telling me over the phone that he is cancelling the order as if it's nothing do I tell my kids his cancelled Christmas too? He should have honored the transaction. Even if the stock comes after Christmas. I did telling him it's unacceptable and that I will be complaining he was not interested or helpful a don't care attitude to be exact I hope your calls are recorded. I am going to be contacting hello Peter as well I am really upset that wasting people's time and petrol is just brushed off as if it is nothing with out even a simple sincere apology. I'm absolutely livid by that because now an apology is going to only be given because I have mentioned the failure to do so not because it was the correct thing to do. We don't all have the luxury of being able to go in-store to shop and my husband only has leave at year end so this time he spent on his way there and back in heavy traffic has also been taken from him and the kids yet a simple call to correct this could have been made

Good day

I purchased a Kaspersky Anti-Virus at the Game store in Cnr Plein & Darling St Grand Central, Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town, 8001 in October 2022. This was when there was a clearance sale before the shop was shut done. My complaint is that the Kaspersky Anti-virus has expired end of 2021 and I feel cheated because it’s only when I opened the box that I realised this.

I ordered some items online 15 December 2022 up until today the 03 Jan 2023 still not received my order. When i check it says it was to be delivered 29 Dec 2022...30th Dece 2022 i got a message that it will be delivered same day @ 6pm and i waited till today the 3 Jan 2023.

Just for advice please dont order at game because their delivery is just nonsense and no one cares because when you call, they tell you to hold till your airtime if depleted.

I will never order at game anymore and when i read all reviews i regret doing such with poor service.

No wonder game stores are closing down in south africa their service is pathetic
