GadgetBoost No refund, bad service

3/30/11 Purchased 2 Dynex cables from GadgetBoost.com to use for HDTV installation on 4/7/11 by Direct TV.
3/30/11 GadgetBoost charged my Master Card $34.93
4/3/11 GadgetBoost.com sends e-mail stating "...order #3152 now shipped ...Tracking Number ... USPS Expedite 2-4 Business Days.
4/6/11 No pkg arrives. Post office cannot track it with number provided.
4/6/11 I cancelled Direct TV installation.
4/7-4/13 I called and e-mailed GadgetBoost several times. No answer, no response.
4/11/11 I drove 30 mi RT to Fryes to buy 2 cables.
4/12/11 Direct TV arrives to install new TV.
4/13/11 I cancelled my order re e-mail to GadgetBoost.
4/13/11 Pkg arrives from post office. I return the unopened pkg. and send a written demand letter to GadgetBoost to return my money, $34.93
5/15/11 I send a demand letter to Don Waller, Owner for $34.93.
6/09/11 To date no money and no response.

P.S. In early May, I went to the company's address in San Diego to return the cables. I found a single family house in an upscale community in the Hillcrest area. No one answered the door. The only response was the barking of 2 Pugs who occupy the house. Obviously this "company" is a one man operation. The owner is Don Waller who is listed on LinkedIn as a Solution Architect at ACXIOM in La Jolla, CA. Mr. Waller states on that web site that "At GadgetBoost.com our goal is to earn and keep the trust of our customers..."

GadgetBoost Iphone dock extender

Holy sheet! I finally received my iphone dock extender 2 weeks ago and it actually works. 5/24 got a email from stamps.com saying that the package was shipped on 5/24 and should received it in 1-3 days. 5/24 received another email stating that the package was mailed the day after (4/27) I ordered it but it was delivered back to them and marked undeliverable. The email stated:"We are a small family run business and customer service is our top priority". They repackaged & remailed w/ tracking (never got info from tracking #) and they were so gracious to offer a set of superior earphones w/ a integrated mic!

On 06-18-11 I ordered an iPod "dock extender" from http://www.dockextenders.com/. I also paid for expedited, 3-5 business day shipping. My credit card was charged immediately. That same day I received a confirmation email from dockextenders.com that listed my correct shipping and billing information as well as a message that read: You order ID is #1379. That same day I also received a confirmation.

However, on 06-24-11, which is the last day I should have received my item, I still had not received anything from either dockextenders.com or gadgetboost.com. Furthermore, upon logging into the dockextenders.com website to check on the status of my order on the last day that I am supposed to receive my item, I see that my order is still marked as "awaiting fulfillment".

I have attempted to contact this company several times throughout the week, inquiring about my order. I have emailed the merchant at guru@dockextenders.com, and have received no answer. I have called GadgetBoost.com at [protected] and DockExtenders.com at [protected]. I have left messages but have never received a call back. I left messages on the online message system at the dockextenders.com website, located at
https://store-f8139.mybigcommerce.com/account.php?action=inbox
inquiring about the status of my order, as it has never changed from "awaiting fulfillment". I have never received an answer back from these messages either.

Upon looking into this merchant's reputation, I have since found that they have received an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau:
http://www.bbb.org/san-diego/business-reviews/electronic-equipment-and-supplies-dealers/gadgetboost-com-in-san-diego-ca-171999909/

and have received numerous complaints from other consumers who have experienced similar experiences with this company:
http://www.complaintsboard.com/?search=gadgetboost&everything=Everything

It is appalling that criminals such as this merchant can blatantly steal from people online like this. This person needs to be sent to jail. The information I have for this merchant is this:

As Dockextenders.com, that site is now GONE as of today. As the above posters have described their experiences, I decided to not only contact PayLeap.com who deals with this character taking my money, but I wrote an email to this Waller person about contacting the US Attorney's Office here. And Gadgetboost.com is down too! Hope he rots in jail! Guess he read my email.

This "company" is awful! I think they are a bunch of scam artists. They said they shipped my order which never came and then blamed the whole thing on the post office. After i complained to them they supposedly reshipped the order and gave me some bogus tracking number. I would never order anything from them and I plan to report them to BBB and FTC.

I made an order and paid for it. I discovered later, on my own with my personal efforts and with out any help or notification or communication from the seller, that the item was not even in stock to sell. I wasted few days waiting for an item that did not exist...I would have been happier with some sort of customer service communication. Shop at your own risk, and do not expect customer service of any sort.

I order Spiderman game for PSP. Sent payment, but never received item. Tried to contact through phone, but no reply at all. Never order any thing from this site. It is 100% fraud. I want to give zero rating for this site, but there is no option.

I ordered a dock extender. My credit card was charged within 24 hours... they sent a ship notification, which for three weeks now, has shown no activity. Total Fraud. Stay away from this site.

GadgetBoost iphone dock extender

I ordered the iphone4 dock extender from gadgetboost.com on 4/27/11. After waiting 10 days I called to check on my order and of course got the voicemail saying " the google voice subscriber is not available". Then on 5/12/11 I emailed gadgetboost and informed them they had 24hrs to contact me via email or cell phone or I would be contacting the FBI internet crimes division (www.ic3.gov), the San Diego DA's office, and a federal bankruptcy judge I know. Funny... I got a email the next morning saying my item had been shipped but of course no tracking number. I then requested a tracking number and to this day have not received it. Today I filled out an online complaint form w/ the FBI internet crimes division and I recommend everyone else do the same. Don Wallar needs to learn a lesson and stop stealing from good honest people.

I just want to inform all you guys to beware of GadgetBost.com

I ordered an iPad case for a reasonable price from these guys, paid the item and paid extra cash for 2 day shipping. But I never received the item. hen I ordered, it was mentioned s "in stock", but now it is "out of".

The worst is they sent me an electronic tracking number, but since they did not ship the item, it is just a trick, not an actual shipment.

There is no phone number, and/or e-mail to communicate these guys. Just a message board at their web site, which is useless. I sent several messages through their web system, but never received an answer.

In short, they sold an item, took my money, but did not ship. So basically they scammed me, and since I paid with my debit card, there is no way to take the money back.

Look also other consumer comments on the web about these guys, and you decide before shopping.

I too have ordered an iPhone dock extender from dockextender.com / Gadget Boost. They have taken my money but I have not received my order. Attempting to contact this "company" is useless. Nobody answers the phone or emails back. Looks like I will have to dispute the charge and file a complaint as well.
