Frigidaire frigidaire wall mounted air conditioners

I bought the said item from Amazon.ca and got 2 years extended warranty when informed that (1) it no longer came with 3 years as was being advertised on Amazon.ca.
I was advised that Electrolux will (2)replace item and, it knew that item was purchased from online retailer when it accepted my (3) money.
After about a year, the airconditioner ceased to work and, spoke to Customer Service who took all info and reassured that they will even (4)replace with a better model.
While still discussing, all of a sudden, she mentions something about Amazon being online and that they will (5)buyback instead at purchase price, no taxes or other cost. This would leave me financially out of pocket to replace a comparable item, pay taxes and delivery if applicable, installation & extended warranty costs.

Today, July 11 2019, I was told that the extended warranty was (6) cancelled in Dec. ( not told of which year)because Amazon was an online and not a local retailer. If true, the Company cancelled without informing me. Is it legal?

Why (7) sell me a warranty product if Company knew was not enforceable ? And, (8) where us my refund?

A year later, I - a senior person, am getting the runaround and, sweltering in high heat in a virtual greenhouse.

Would you like to (8)know what "runaround" looks like?
The company switches to a new specialist from the one who had done the legwork . And, the process gets started all over.

Frigidaire dryer

Hello. Many years ago there was a lawsuit related to my dryer. I was sent a few options to solve the problem because of the potential risk of having a fire with this dryer. I never heard back in writing or by phone about the outcome. I still own and use this dryer. I have constant maintenance and proper lint removal after each use. I also as a precaution do not run it at night or when heading out as I am afraid a fire may start when I am not tending to it. I know it has been a long time and I still use it. But I have no choice since I am unable to purchase a new one at full price. I have become very scared of using it lately becuse it's been making some random noises. I would like to know how Frigidaire can help me get a replacement. I understand I was under the warranty/lawsuit and that makes me eligible for a replacement before a disaster occurs. Thank you for your time.

Frigidaire top of bottom freezer door frigidaire french door refrigerator

I have always bought Frigidaire products. After spending over $2, 000.00 for this fridge, very disappointed that after dropping a margarine container on the top of freezer door made of plastic, this happened. Why would you make a quality product like this and put plastic on the top surface of an area you know will have occasional incidences where possible items can drop or fall on it. The previous Frigidaire I bought had stainless on top of the bottom freezer door. Feel this should be addressed. Upset I now will need to spend over $250.00 to replace what I feel is a design defect.

Frigidaire design flaw the frigidaire fully knew about before I purchased my refrigerator

7-1-19 Frigidare French Door Model number FGHC2344M. I purchase fridge 6 years ago, have had minor repairs along the way with the ice maker and door issues but nothing major, just a few hundered bucks here and there. Recently I pulled out fridge as we were doing a remodel and noticed rust and a bit of condensation on back of fridge behind the ice maker, I called dealer, they knew nothing about this, so I called my service tech and he knew about this and said it is a design flaw and if I call Frigidare they have a foam pad they will send out and a tech can install and should only cost me a service call. I called Frigidare and they were a bit rude and said they knew nothing about this issue and I need a certified repairman to come out, I explained to them about the foam pad and design flaw I was notified about from previous repair man over the phone but the frigidare person said they were not certified and could not diagnose properly so they gave me a name of a certified company, I called that company and they said they were not sure if they did the pad anymore and I should call frigidare back to make sure they still did this repair before I spend 80 dollars on service call, and by the way, he also said this is not a fix it is a bandaid but frigidare cant figure out how to fix this properly. I called frigidare back and they told me the service tech would need to come out and I would need to pay for service call and frigidair would take care of the rest. I called service tech back and set up appointment, he came out looked it over for about 10 minutes and called the service line, he then told me they no longer offer the pad and someone will be in touch with me from frigidair. 5 days later I received a letter stating that they will give me a 10 percent coupon towards the purchase of new fridge but needs to be a frigidare, I need to purchase within the next 3 to 4 weeks and I need to fill out a bunch of paperwork to get this 10 percent discount. I did some research and Frigidare knew about this design flaw in the ice maker with the insulation 4 to 6 years before I purchased my fridge and they still have this on the market? This fridge has slowly leaked water on my new wood floor behind fridge and warped it. I have only had this fridge for 6 years and now I need to buy a new one and only get a 10 percent discount, this will barely cover the service call of 80 dollars I had to pay just so frigidair could tell me they won't fix it, I told them over the phone what the problem was and they knew about this issue and made me call a service tech in to charge me 80 dollars just to tell me I need to buy a new fridge and I need to do it asap to get my 10 percent discount. Oh and by the way it has to be equal or lesser value than the one I have now and has to be fridgidare I am very sad and upset about this and someone should have a class action lawsuit against them as they have known about this for years. Why would I buy another frigidare? I currently own 4 Frigidare Gallery appliances so they all would match, thinking about slowly swapping them out for different brand

Frigidaire complaint

Frigidare GAS Stove Malfunction - We turned on the Self Cleaning function of the stove recently and it melted the door and several of the buttons on the stove. It very nearly started our house on fire as smoked billowed from the stove. We would like to be compensated for the loss of our stove because it is unusable.

No stove regardless of the warranty should MELT THE DOOR when the self cleaning feature is activated. The fact of the matter is that the stove's faulty operation nearly started our house on fire. The seriousness seems to escape Frigidaire. Were not talking about a burner not functioning, were talking about the oven overheating to the point where it melted the door and handles of the stove rendering it useless. There is no quick fix for that. We would like to see Frigidaire replace the stove. We have been without one for the past month and were getting tired of the run around by Frigidaire.

Frigidaire/Electrolux needs to compare their customer service with that of Amazon's. If there is anything defective that we purchase from Amazon we get a new one free without even having to send the old one.back. Pls. forward the new stove to us ASAP. Thank you.

I have to cut the cord take pics sign paper email it in. they never contact you to let you know they have everything and will take care of the issue its just a guessing game. they first said about 2 weeks then it was 2 to 3 weeks. its now over a month just to find out they never got the information I sent over a month ago. Frigidaire french door refrigerator

My mother purchase this product from Lowes with the 3 yr extended warranty. During the 5 yrs she has had the fridge, we had it replaced once by Lowes itself. So since then the back of the refrigerator has perforation which causes ice to form on the steel part of this fridge. This is abnormal. Also the casing is separating from the cushion lining in her freezer part. Now I can understand normal wear and tear over the years, but this is unacceptable. I thought Frigidaire would be a better American made product than this! So disappointed!

Frigidaire frigidaire gallery over the stove microwave and refrigerator freezer

Purchased stainless steel finish appliances for my new home. The microwave is dangerous and a piece of junk. 1 year after purchase the fuse in the microwave kept blowing out. Had it serviced (Frigidaire did cover it) to replace door switches. However ~ 6 months later the fuses started blowing again. I replaced the fuses ~30X now.
I'm sick of this microwave and the price I paid for it. This microwave is faulty, dangerous and should be recalled.

The icemaker in the freezer burned out in less than a year and had to replace that too. It burned the holder to the point that it was burned through and would have started a fire in the freezer had in not been that water going to the ice-maker was leaking all over (froze the door shut). Frigidaire should recall these appliances because there is a serious danger of fire

Frigidaire product is front load washer, model fffw5000oqw

Date of incident: 6/10/2019 The machine malfunctioned causing a flood. In the off cycle the machine started and filled which resulted in flooding my entire spa. The water damage was done over night from 5:30 p.m. on Monday 6/10/19 when we left the building until Tuesday 6/11/19 at 9:30 a.m. when we returned. The washer had not been in use since the previous Monday 6/3/2019. On Monday 6/3/19 I opened the door of this machine checking to see if I needed to switch a load of laundry and the entire washer was full of water when I opened the door with no laundry in it. This was certainly odd since there was no laundry in it and it let me open the door. I immediately called Jetson's appliance for a repairman which was sent out on Wed. It was then determined that the machine would need both a pressure switch and main board. On that Monday 6/3/19 we discontinued the use of the machine. We were about to either replace the machine or repair the board in question. In the process of this decision, as I stated before, this machine in the off position filled itself on the night of Monday 6/10/19 and then leaked through my entire office space and into the next suite of my neighbors. My office is 800 square feet. I now face water damage bills for my unit as well as my neighbors, new cabinets, new flooring, loss of income and of course a new washing machine. I am requesting a replacement of this machine or the equivalent in money to buy a new machine and damage money to the other unit in the event the insurance will not pay for the other unit. An insurance claim has been submitted for the other damages at my office and I am waiting to see what resolve will happen there. In the meantime, I have lost business income for my facility because of needing to close as well as the working therapist income due to this unfortunate equipment malfunction. I have not received the bills from the water damage company yet for my neighbors unit nor my own. I am just now ordering new flooring and do not have that bill yet either. Thank you for your resolve of this unfortunate situation. Debbie Roberts, Owner

Frigidaire dishwasher warranty repair

Product great...warranty service not so much!
VERY disappointed in company Frigidaire engaged for warranty work!

Purchased home that included brand new Frigidaire appliances. Used dishwasher a few times and really liked; cleaned well, quiet...then it conked out.
Frigidaire customer service was very responsive and quickly dispatched warranty service - maybe I should have gone with their first suggestion, but another option was closer in location.

Triangle Appliance visited on 5/30 announcing dishwasher needed new board and pump, they'd get parts and call me. I waited 24 hours...nothing. I left voice mail on 5/31, left another voicemail on 6/3 and got a return call to schedule part install on 6/6. Parts were installed, but I was told there wasn't "enough voltage" to dishwasher, it wouldn't run and I'd have to call an electrician.

Thank goodness house came with home warranty. Electrician was coming on 6/7, but I had to pay $75 deductible.

Electrician walked into house, asked me what happened, walked downstairs...and FLIPPED THE CIRCUIT BREAKER. Triangle had shorted the dishwasher during repair, tripped the circuit breaker, but didn't know and/or want to take time to correct….I could have flipped breaker for Triangle saving myself $75…I took Triangle at his word regarding a voltage issue. According to electrician, there's voltage or no voltage.

Next, I called Frigidaire to explain situation and request a $75 refund. Frigidaire deferred me to company doing the work - Triangle, so I left Triangle a nice (seriously!) "we need to talk about the voltage issue" voicemail on 6/7.

No response on 6/10.

Tried calling Triangle several times again on 6/11; number picks up and drops.

So, I called Frigidaire again and again explained situation. They tried dialing Triangle and received same pickup/drop. BUT, again Frigidaire deferred me to Triangle - even though I reminded her neither of us could reach a company Frigidaire contracted to perform their warranty work - leaving me with a $75 bill for their doofus move. I politely thanked her for everyone throwing their hands in the air and not helping.

Frigidaire consumer relations referrals

Our company continually receives transfered phone calls from Frigidaire for customer how are looking for parts for their 5-10 year old appliances. Frigidaire Customer Service leads the transfered caller to believe that we are a division of Frigidaire. We're generally met with frustration and even hostility when we inform the caller that we are not affiliated with Frigidaire. Our company, "Antique Appliances" is located in Clayton, GA and we specialize in the restoration of stoves and refrigerators that were originally produced prior to 1960. We have no inventory or means of acquiring parts for appliances that were made after 1960. We must insist that Frigidaire stop, immediately in referring their customers to us for parts that Frigidaire no longer produces. Your companies continued misrepresentation of our company is not only inconvenient, it is a tremendous disservice to your own customers as you are simply pawning them off on someone else because you fail to provide the service they need.

Respectfully;

Frigidaire ffad5033r1 50 pint dehumidifier

Plugged in humidifier for 3rd summer of use. Unit sits in heated home throughout winter, not in use. I noticed soon after it was turned on, the an FO error code was displayed. I found that many have had this same error. When the unit was new, I noticed that when I dumped the water, it had a slight reddish color. I now know why. As shown in the pictures, the sides of the condenser are seriously rusted, which drained into bucket. Other than the rust, the unit looks like new. Of course it's out of warranty. I'll never buy another Frigidaire product. What a poorly manufactured piece of junk.

Frigidaire microhood, frigidaire

I called today concerning service for my Microhood that quit working on Saturday morning. After taking with the rep from Frigidaire I received an email that canceled the service date for my service. Next I called the service business, Leo's Appliance in Modesto, 209-544-2336, I was given in the area; the male answering the phone started by talking at the same time I was requesting assistance; he hung up on me; I called and he hung up on a second time. I called Frigidaire back a second time; the representative I spoke with said I didn't receive an email that canceled the appointment; I told him yes I did and I had the email; I have archived it for proof. He did schedule a new appointment for me with a new company, Appliance Service Plus.
A representative from Appliance Service Plus called me immediately to see if I wanted to keep the appointment; I said of yes. She in fact offered service today, 1 to 3:00 PM instead of Wednesday. Efrain the service technician called early, 1:00 AM, and asked if could come by early. He arrived, diagnosed the problem, gave me their contact phone number to call back for the next appointment next week. Parts need to be ordered before repair can be made.
I did receive a 2nd email after the 2nd phone call setting up the 2nd appointment.

Frigidaire gallery 4a52824879

This unit was purchased as a package the ladder of 2015. We were havng issues with one of the doors sealing. A technician came out and diagnosis the issue and recommended the gasket needed to be replaced. After replacing the gasket, I advised him that the door was doing the same thing so the problem wasn't fix. He told me to give it 24-48 hours. I called the next day and he returned and stated that after investigaing the issue he was told that the magnet needed to be adjusted. He ordered the magnet and I put it on but the door is still not sealing tightly. I took off the magnet on the other side and discovered that it has 3 magnets and not one. It is my guess that no magnet has been there all along but since no magnets were there all along but singe the gasket was worned it became the more obvious that the door wasn't sealing. I am very disappointed after spending the amount of money on a kitchen package, I have to replace a seal within 3 years and the technician not aware that there were magnets! I also had to replace the panel on the stove after receiving a F11error message and an annoying beeping sound! I have ordered the additional magnets but wanted you to be aware of the products and service. This can't be good.

Thank you.

When purchasing this kitchen package, you should have been provided the option of additional warranty coverage. Did you, by any chance, purchase this additional coverage?

Frigidaire why I kept getting lies from the managers on warranty service

I bought a electrolux microwave about a year ago and mailed in the warrenty information and when I called for service they sent a guy out who was rude and unprossional who soon as he walked he refused to work on the micowave due to the fact that it was listed as a 2012 model year. I called electrolux and was told that it was still under warrenty and everytime they set up a appointment for service they never showed up. Called back and had to go through the same bull about them not wanting to cover my warrenty. Talked to Adhley the manager and she checked out everything and called and said she had found everything she needed and that the warrenty was good and someone would come out that friday and fix the microwave, but no every showed up. Called several times again and she would never return my call. They even sold me a extended service warrenty. Now I can't get anyone to help me. They keep telling me that I purchased a salvaged microwave but it was a brand new one in original box and with arrrenty papers which I mailed in. Why if they didn't wan't to cover it didn't they tell me from the beginning. They kept trying to tell me that I bought it as a salvaged unit which 5 didn't. Why would they tell me that the warrenty was good and that they would get someone out to fix it soon as possible. Called several days ago and was told that they had to update everthing and they would call back which they never did. called back and could not get in tough with the manager Ashley. Was given another one who didn't want to help at all. Why give a warrenty if they are not going to cover it and over and over say that it is still good. The worst thing someone can do is lie overe and over again. I'll never buy another Electrolux nor any product made by them again. Everything I have is a electrolux applaince now, but any new ones will not be electrolux. My model microwave is Ei30BM60msa. Will also get in tough wilh my news paper who will check these problems out and put it on national tv .

Frigidaire side-by-side frigidaire refrigerator less than four years old - cracked inner lining

I purchased a Frigidaire side-by-side refrigerator Model # FFSS2614Q, Serial # 4A41905934, Lot # [protected] June 24, 2014, at H. H. Gregg in Duluth, Georgia. Just this week, I noticed a crack in the freezer lining that extends horzontally the entire depth of the freezer. (see attached photos) The freezer has a build up of frost, and the temperature of the refrigerator is 52 degrees. I am so disappointed that this Frigidaire didn't last even four years. I understand that the refrigerator was out of warranty after one year, however, I request that I be reimbursed $250 for the food that ruined. I understand from the repairman that the lining is not a repairable item and should not have cracked spontaneously as it did. I am a single senior citizen, and no abuse of this Frigidaire Refrigerator has occurred.

In addition, during the less than four years I've owned this refrigerator, I've replaced the ice bucket two times at approximately $100 each time, due to the plastic cracking.

Although $250 doesn't compensate for failure of this unit in less than four years, I think it's only fair to be compensated for the food that has been lost due to the liner failure.

Sincerely,

Sandra Fortenberry

Frigidaire refrigerator fgtr1837tf2

Purchased in feb 2019. 4 service calls by 2 different service agents of frigidaire. The second service agent critisized the manner in the way the 1st tried to repair and repaired his way. Initially the noises were slightly softer but within 2 days were louder than ever. This refer is abnormally loud and numerous guests to our home have commented without our even mentioning. I called cus, service again 5 th time. I was treated very poorly and told "live with it" "read your user guide". Well, I got a user guide when it was delivered, not when we were sold the unit. We purchased 3 other major appliances from frigidaire and have had only 1 minor issue which they fixed. I just cannot believe they way frigidaire has handeled this. Help
