Frigidaire Gas range

Gas range came defective. Got into a shouting match with customer service. Worst service ever piece of crap range. No one at Frigidaire cares and on one at Home Depot cares. Will never buy from either again! Delivered on February 15th. Bake does not work! Faulty wires. Repair guy could fix and nothing is being done.

Desired outcome: New range

Frigidaire Stainless steel gas range

I bought a stainless steel gas range at home depot in the 850.00 range. I stuck with frigidare as i still have a basement freezer for over 20 years that is still running fine, a side by side refridgerator that still runs after 18 years .

I would love to meet the designer of this stove that thought it would be a great idea to have the stovetop black. No matter how you clean it it looks filthy dirty, you cant use brillo or it will scratch. Have tried everything .It is stained and looks like crap. I like having a clean kitchen, but the stove always looks filty with smudges. Some times i have to soak the top in boiling water. What in gods name were you thinking when yoiu chose a blacktop rather than stainless steel?. I will bet every penny i own a man designed this. Nice you used something inferior for your bottom line rather than your customer. Really unhappy with your product, oh and god forbid water touches the side of the burner, it takes 2 days to dry out and work again.

Not a happy camper

diane sherman

Desired outcome: Would love to speak to the person who designed this stove

Hi Ms. Sherman.

Both men and women are capable of great designs. To digest otherwise is simply less than intelligent.

Dark surfaces are commonly used on cooktops and there are products created to care for the same.

Frigidaire Model: FFUE2022AW0 Serial: BB20523248

My name is Marie Felix-Shannon. My email is [protected]@gmail.com. This is the first and last time I will purchase a product from your company. To say that I am disappointed is a farfetched understatement. I purchased this upright freezer brand new off the website. The only thing that has gone right since it was ordered is that arrived on time. 2/26/22. The delivery gentleman plugged it in, and it turned on as it should however never ever froze anything. I followed the manuals instruction bumping up the dial until I've reached a desired setting and after 4 days it still wasn't freezing. I called and had a service tech come out. That took 3 days. He came out on 3/3/22 and diagnosed it with having a bad compressor. I called back to your company who stated all they could do was send another tech out. They refused to replace it. I didn't buy a scratch and dent. I didn't buy a used one. IT WAS BRAND NEW! it arrived defective. I called Home Depot to see if they would return the product and they wouldn't take it back either! They have a 2 day return policy. It took longer than that just to run thru the manuals trouble shooting. At this point I was extremely frustrated. I reached out to the service tech that had arrived earlier in the day (Edgar). It went to VM but that was full so I called your company back on that same day having felt completely defeated knowing I'm stuck with this $900 freezer that doesn't even work. I spoke to another representative who I asked to just order the compressor so I can get this thing working. She assured me she did and that they would reach out to make another appointment to install it. I received a text message with an appointment for 3/9/22. I get a call this morning from the service tech asking me if i had the part! No, I don't have the part. They were supposed to order it. He said he is going to order it and had to reschedule until NEXT week now. I bought this on 2/16/22 and I still cannot use it. I am at this point in tears with total frustration. I waited over a year to buy one of these so I could do some research. This model had great reviews. I have never been more disappointed with a product, company or customer service in all my life. This is a horrible way to treat your customers. I am now stuck with this piece of junk that I saved up for and doesn't work. almost a month after ordering and 2 weeks after arrival. I won't ever be recommending your products to anyone because I wouldn't want someone to have this same experience I am currently having. At the very least I would have been happy with an exact exchange and was denied by both your company and the Home Depot where it was purchased online. I paid for a new product not a defective one.

Hi Ms. Felix-Shannon.

You are correct in that Frigidaire make some of the very best and we'll reviewed freezers in the market. Having product available has become a concern since the very beginning of the global pandemic and may be the reason for your issue.

RA (return authorization) can gladly be issued to the retailer, allowing them to exchange the product with new. Frigidaire cannot provide the exchange because they were not the ones the product was purchased from.

Hopefully this clarifies any confusion.

Frigidaire Frigidaire French Door refrigerator freezer.

Purchased Refrigerator freezer with top compartment icemaker which has never produced adequate ice in 24 hours, 48 hours or even more.

Have contacted them 3 times or more and competant local service rep. came twice and recommended that Frigidaire provide bottom drawer ice maker to no avail!

Subsequent inquires informed us that serv. rep from Myrtle Beach would come to assess situation.

NEVER CONTACTED US!

1ST REP. CHANGED parts including freezer plate mechanism, still no satisfactory response from manufacturer.

This is a run-around to avoid making good on an express and implied warranty of merchantability.

Outside surface already showing corrosion and rust.

Rubber gasket for freezer is ill-fitting and pulled away such that it has never made proper closure and seal.

In addition there are areas of the internal componenets of the cabinet(s) that have cracked early on.

Still no satisfaction nor reasonable response.

What a sham! Manufacturer seems to be trying to out wait us on the warranty period.

This will also be reported to the South Carolina Dept. of Consumer Affairs.

D. Fripp Ducker.

Feel free to contact me @@[protected].

Desired outcome: Replace with product suitable for merchantability, or full refund from manufacturer and vendor.(Home Depot, Florence, S.C.).

Frigidaire Refrigerator side by side

This refrigerator has completely stopped working twice because of poor design. The first time I ended up paying for an extended warranty and the fridge was not even a year old. The tube that fills the ice trays spills off due to hard water and ice forms on the fan that blows the cold air. If you don't replace the water filter every couple of months this is what happens. Extremely frustrated and just want to throw it out.

Desired outcome: A new refrigerator would be nice don't want to have to do this every year.

Hi Ms Talbot.

Appreciate your frustration.

You're getting some extremely contaminated water through your water line on order for your filters to become blocked so soon.

It's good that the water filters are doing as it should but you don't want it to pass it onto any drinking water or ice. It would be a good suggestion to have your water checked. Call [protected].

Frigidaire Freezer defective door

Door severely leaking air from day 1. Repair person sent out and discovered the door was molded with a severe dip in the actual door inside along the top right under the seal so no way it will seal properly. No problem right... Under warranty and a manufacturing defect... They call back and are going to send a new door. But... It will be 4-6 months to get the door on a brand new freezer. So I say that's too long and our frozen item are being ruined and the electric bill has gone up because it's running all the time. Plus it's not good for the freezer to run like that and we have too much frozen stuff to fit in out fridge freezer so can you just replace the whole unit? Nope. Multiple calls to frigidaire with no other resolution except a 4-6 month wait. So our only recourse is to contact a class action attorney and hope we can get a class action going because we found out they sold a bunch of these freezers knowing the doors were defective. I have always bought frigidaire freezers but never again. Frigidaire should have pulled these defective freezers off shelves until door replacements could be made at the sellers before sending them on to consumers all over the country.

Desired outcome: Frigidaire needs to replace the whole unit. But I think it will take a class action suit to wake them up when they have to pay for replacements and loss of frozen items plus excessive electric bills.

I can appreciate your frustration. The delay is still based around Covid. Freezers are extremely difficult to get your hands on new and the parts are no different. You'll be lucky if you do see a part within six months.

The truth is that a class action lawsuit isn't going to happen. Unfortunately you've got a unit with a defect.

Whereas it is new, contact the retailer you purchased it through. Many offer additional services whereby they could handle the problem.

Microwave FPBM307NTF

Blowing breaker in circuit box after 2 years. Repair cost to replace 2 switches and door latch was $250. Just over a year later, same thing happened. Response to my Email to Frigidaire customer service was an automatic reply with their customer service number. Customer service answered with recording that they can't take my call. This is a high priced microwave that I am not willing to spend $250 annually on. I will be buying a new microwave from a different company.

Frigidaire Frigidaire 27 inch Double Oven

My name is Jefferson Davis, Serial # AF14502429, Model# FFET2726TS. I purchased a Friigdaire Double Oven, and a Frigidaire Dishwasher on November 10, 2021, at Home Depot in Morrow. At the end of January the upper oven stop working, so I called and spoke to one of your representative, and explained to her the situation, and she hung on me. I then called back and received another representative by the name of Anna, so she said. I then proceeded to explained to her that the oven was not working, she then called B & H Appliance, and made a appointment for 2-7-2022, between the hours of 8-12pm. She also stated that I had to call them to verify the appointment which I did. When 11:00 A.M. came i called B & H Appliance, and asked were they still coming, because it 11:00. He then proceeded to ya ya they coming. 2:00 P.M. came and no one has showed up, I then call home Deport to file a complaint, because that's where I bought the products, and was the told that I could not file a complaint to them, but to Frigidaire, but they would call. I held for 30 to 45 minutes, and was disconnected, probably purposefuly. Has I writing this complaint I am still holding at 3:33 P.M. My oven is still not working, and B & H Appliance has still not called.

Frigidaire refrigerator

I purchased a refrigerator from Rosendahs Appliance in Irwin, Pa on 5/26/21. Model number FGHT2055VF. Serial number BA10700905. When it was delivered the light didn't work. Superior Appliance came out and ordered a new door because the door is bent and the sensor doesn't connect to turn the light off and on. This was June of 2021. Not only am I still waiting, but now the door won't stay closed. The freezer door closes tight, but the refrigerator door you have to try and close it a few times before it stays shut.

Desired outcome: I would like a door that works on my refrigerator or replacement.

Thank you so much for posting your issue. There isn't enough information to cover specifics but should be able to provide some help.

Frigidaire is considered one of the top brands in many appliance categories, not surprising, refrigeration is one of those categories. Anyone who registers their appliance purchase is contacted any time recalls may happen. This also provides the consumer an industry wide warranty:

"Your appliance is covered by a one year limited warranty. For one year from your original date of

purchase, Electrolux will pay all costs for repairing or replacing any parts of this appliance that prove

to be defective in materials or workmanship when such appliance is installed, used and maintained in

accordance with the provided instructions."

Whereas you've had issues outside of the initial manufacture warranty period, a good recommendation would be to contact your retailer. Many retailers offer provisions that will cover any service costs or that of outright replacement of your unit.

You may contact Frigidaire at [protected].

Frigidaire Model lfhg2251tf bottom mount refrigerator

Re: Frigidaire Model LFHG2251TF, Serial no. 4A12102458

We purchased this unit from Lowe's on 8-15-21 to replace a 20+ year-old Maytag side-by-side that had worked trouble-free during its lifespan. We had considered models from Samsung and LG but we chose to ‘buy American’ and because of Electrolux/Frigidaire’s reputation and consumer ratings.

The initial problem: the unit did not cool down after installation. We called Frigidaire’s call center and was instructed to 'reset' it by unplugging then waiting a period of time before plugging it back in. It eventually started and cooled to temp and was operationally normal however there was an unusual noise. I called Frigidaire’s service center and was told the noise was from the compressor which has a short break-in period and that the noise would eventually stop within 2 weeks.

The noise did not stop.

I called Frigidaire’s service center again and requested a service call. The Frigidaire tech said the sound was normal and referred us to Frigidaire's website and video which describes common sounds to expect.

We watched and listened very closely to Frigidaire’s Understanding Common Sounds of Your French Door Refrigerator YouTube video. None of the ‘common sounds’ in the video are similar to the noise we hear from our unit. The noise is not ‘boiling/gurgling from the evaporator’, not ‘hissing/sizzling from the defrost heater’, not ‘clunking from ice cubes falling into the ice bin’, not ‘thumping/water running from the ice maker’, not ‘snapping/clicking from the electronic control and automatic defrost control’, not ‘buzzing from the water valve opening to fill the ice maker’, not ‘water dripping into the drain pan during the defrost cycle’, not ‘vibrating/humming from the hi-efficiency compressor/drawer dampers’, not ‘snapping/clicking/popping from the ice chute’, and not ‘rushing/blowing/whistling air from the evaporator fan, condenser fan or condenser’.

The noise continued and at times seemed to increase in volume.

We requested another service call. The tech that came was from a third-party local service company. The tech was hard of hearing and said he could not hear the sound. As a matter of fact, he did not hear well enough to carry on a spoken conversation with us! He said the sound was normal and could not help.

The noise continued and at times increased in volume.

Not happy with the report from the 3rd party tech, we requested another service call from a Frigidaire factory trained and certified technician.

The same tech from call #1 arrived and again said the sound was normal, the unit runs properly, and that he couldn’t do anything to fix the noise.

As our frustration mounted, I made another call to Frigidaire's customer service on 1-28-22 to request the unit be replaced. I was told another service call would be needed for a tech to confirm the sound/noise could not be repaired before a warranty replacement could be arranged. A service call was scheduled for 1-31-22.

On 1-30-22 I went to the local Lowe's where we purchased the unit. They had the same model on display, plugged in and running. I pulled the display model out and put my ear against the side panel to listen for an unusual sound, or an sound that is similar to what our unit makes. I heard nothing unusual. The only sounds were consistent with those described in Frigidaire’s common sounds to video.

I also spoke with a friend who had purchased the same model over a year ago. He indicated he had never heard a sound similar to what our unit makes.

The same Frigidaire tech as calls 1 & 2 arrived on 1-31-22. His demeanor was more confrontational than helpful, and even said 'I knew this was going to happen' and 'I'm not going to be able to do anything'. I played recordings of the sound I had made over the previous 2-3 days and he was emphatic that it is 'normal'. He called Frigidaire's engineering department while here then told me I had to go through Frigidaire's call center and 'fight it out with them' to get the unit replaced. Ref. file no. [protected] for a recording of the tech’s conversation with the engineering department.

After the tech left I called Frigidaire's call center again and strongly expressed my desire to have the unit replaced. I was told the tech's report from 1-31-22 was sent to Frigidaire's 'back-office' for review and that I should call back in 3-5 days to check the status.

Desired outcome: I would like the refrigerator replaced by Electrolux/Frigidaire.

Having a similar problem. Bought the Fridgidaire LFHG2251TF from Lowes on [protected] and purchased a Lowes 3yr service contract. Had loud "clunking" noises several times a day. Lowe's contracted service folks came on [protected], 10-26-2022 and 01-10-2023. Naturally, the sound did not happen while they were here! All three technicians could not find anything wrong. Two of them reseated the fan which just sits on a shaft without any screw to hold it stable. All three used their cellphones to see if there were any fixes and found none. Next time we request service with our contract will be the 4th time and Lowes policy is to replace after 4 times. Not holding my breath on that happening. What ever happened to appliances lasting 20 years or more?

Frigidaire Refrigerator

I purchased a two door Frigidaire refrigerator serial no-4A12621197 on 7/14/21. The refrigerator began beeping and showing high temp on the panel of ice/water dispenser around 11/2021. We called out service tech around 12/7/21 who looked at it and stated it was mostly like a sensor and would probably go away. Well, the sound did not. We had to call them out again around 12/15/21 because the frig stop making ice and would not freezer would not freeze. We were told it needed a part. As of today 1/27/22, we still have not received part or feedback from service tech. We barely can get through to Cunningham Appliance. We have been given the run around by the service tech and Frigidaire. Each week we were told, that part would be in the following week and as of today 1/27/22 still no part. We called Frigidaire and spoke with a representative today1/27/22 who lied to me, saying she called Cunningham Appliance and was told that the part would be in tomorrow. She then provided me with the number and while I was on phone with her, I told my husband to call appliance co who stated that they received parts in today but did not know if our part was in because he was the dispatcher. I confronted the representative from Frigidaire about lying and she hung up on me (very unprofessional). I call back and spoke to another lady who then was giving me the run around too. I told her everything that took place with the previous representative. She attempted to call the appliance co but no answer so she finally said, let me check to verify if we have the part in stock here they are waiting. Well to my surprise they had the part in stock and she stated it would be shipped to us and when we receive part, call them and they will dispatch service tech. I'm puzzled! If they had part, why the hec did they not make this suggestion from day one. We have been out of freezer for over a month now. We have lost food due to our freezer not working. I'm frustrated and disappointment. We have had this frig only 6 months and certainly was not expecting to need a service tech now.

Desired outcome: I would like a new refrigerator or full refund.

Refrigerator still not fixed. On 2/7/22 the appliance co came out to repair refrigerator. The repair placed two parts. The compressor and also he said the line had multiple leaks. The repair guy said he replaced everything that he thought was causing the frig not to get cold but did not guarantee it would correct the problem. On yesterday, 2/13/22, the refrigerator began beeping again ,saying high temperature. It appears that the refrigerator is not in the recommended temperature range if its continues to display this even after the repair. We been dealing with this issue since 11/2021. This is ridiculous and frustrating. I called Frigidaire and they offered again to send out another appliance company. This will be the 4th time repair person has been out. PURCHASED FRIG 7/14/21 AND STARTED HAVING ISSUES ON 11/21.

apparently you did not read my post. I understand the increasingly difficult since Covid but that is still not an excuse for not communication effectively with a customer. I work as a nurse and I still have to take care of patients and covid does not excuse me from not doing my job. As of today 2/2/22, I still have not received part. I have two school age children and it has been difficulty without having a refrigerator/freezer not getting cold or freezing. I have been using a mini refrigerator under my garage to keep items within temperature range. NO EXCUSE! YOU NEED TO PUT YOURSELF IN MY SITUATION THEN YOU MAY HAVE SOME SYMPATHY

Hi Andrew.

Appreciate your update.

Nursing is a little different from the issues we're working with here. As a nurse, you're truly a hero in all of this. It helps explains your continued frustration. I'm sure you're working that much harder to help your patients - that is the people under your care.

You're very wise in using a secondary fridge to help bridge the gap during any delay.

As a suggestion, do not enclose the area around the fridge. It is important the compressor has ample room to 'breath' and restricting the airflow can have the exact result you're speaking of here.

Hi Andrew.

Appreciate your concerns.

Any product can have an issue for any number of reasons. The hope is to properly service the issue(s) when it/they occur. We'd all like to magically make the problem(s) disappear but processes are used to determine the issue(s) and replace any defective part(s).

The first step in determining the problem is to dispatch an authorized service technician to find the problem. This is sometimes trickier that it sounds. In some cases, parts are replaced until the solution can be found.

Once parts are ordered, they can be shipped directly to your home or to the service center. This has been increasingly difficult just because of Covid existing within our communities.

Once the parts are in plane, another service call is in order, hopefully replacing the parts and resolving any issues.

Hopefully this explains the process and can allow you to understand the timeframe involved.

We bought a refrigerator in October the ice maker and water part has never worked, Frigidaire has sent their service techs out to fix it several times, and the guys have already told them (Frigidaire) it's not fixable.
Now their customer service reps KEEP HANGING UP ON US, they won't help us they not even trying and it's one in particular, that answers and won't give her name but she always hangs up on us and note the account that we don't want this new refrigerator fixed. This is and has been the worst experience with a supposed reputable company. They claim to have a warranty on their products I guess this is their way of getting out of replacing it. I am so angry. All the customer service reps that will actually listen and talk say the same thing we will get an email and this has been going on since October. I will never purchase a Frigidaire anything ever again. Even the service company they keep sending is saying they are purposely trying not to fix or replace the refrigerator they have sent them correspondence telling them they can't fix the thing.

Desired outcome: I want a new refrigerator that works, that is what we were told if it can't be fixed it will be replaced

Frigidaire Gallery Refrigerator

The sealed system has failed on my fridge model: FGH52631pf4a. It was purchased in 2017 and I was told by the service tech that it is extremely rare for the sealed system to fail this soon.

He suggested that I check with the manufacturer to see if the sealed system was still under warranty or if the manufacturer would offer a replacement for the unit.

Desired outcome: either fix the existing fridge or replace.

The model you're referring to is a very popular side by side refrigerator.

Your service provider is correct that it is rare to have a sealed system have problems this early on but it's not unheard of. This can especially be the case of the fridge is not given ample space to breath.

Contact the retailer you purchased the fridge through. Many offer additional service coverage that might help you in this case.

I bought it at Lowes 4 years ago. Do you know if they offer services to replace or fix?

Hi Bryan.

Yes they do. Lowes offers additional warranty coverage at the time of purchase. This warranty covers either servicing the unit or replacing it.

Let us know how it turns out.

Frigidaire Side by side refrigerator bought november 7,2021

My refrigerator was bought 11/07/2021, delivered 11/09/2021. Stopped working 11/10/2021. My refrigerator side has froze all my food since the second day I owned it. My water and Ice dispenser have never worked. I have called the Fridgedaire 1800 number numerous times. I tried to talk to a supervisor/manager but "they aren't talking calls" The "company" they out source their repair work "do not have a phone number" Beyond ticked off and will NEVER purchase Fridgedaire again!

Desired outcome: My refrigerator to be Useable!!!

Hi Tiffany.

Frigidaire is a great brand of appliances but, like any brand, problems can occur. If this happened so quickly after the unit was delivered you'll find contacting the retailer is your best course of action. The retailer has the ability to exchange the unit and return the defective through their own channels.
